Delivery is a joke, they try to deliver before the agreed date and then claim to have arrived on the agreed date, however, we were in all day waiting for the delivery which never arrived! I needed this today for fitting tomorrow Very disappointing

Ordered a Hotpoint fridge on 31/08/21 on 5-week delivery, but delighted to hear delivery on 17/09/21 with an e-mail to follow with a time slot. Online account said “delivery today” Monday, 13/09/21, but no e-mail with time. Appliances Direct clearly do not bother about customer service when it already has our money. E-mail will be responded to “by 10.22 am on Thursday, 16 Sept”. This is too much after wasting half an hour waiting for Chat to be connected, after waiting for Customer Service (ha-ha) to answer first of all - and I still do not have my fridge on which to comment. It must be down to “The Pandemic”, as usual!! Wish it were possible to give zero stars.

I ordered a brand new Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Basic (not Note 10+) for £509.99 including delivery. The phone arrived an hour ago. The box had been opened, the headphones had been used, the charging lead had been used. A USB adapter was missing from where it should have been. The new phone stickers were missing off the phone. I bought the exact same phone elsewhere 3 months ago so know what to expect, I have taken photos as evidence. I have just phoned about a replacement and been told they can't as they have no more stock. They offered a £20 refund which is nowhere near the difference in value between a new/boxed and used/opened version of this phone. I would recommend that you do not under any circumstances buy a phone from them or their many sister companies. I will try the small claims court to recover the true difference in values. Be careful of "bargains" there is a reason they are slightly lower in price!

Disgusting. Incompetent. Intelligence of a walnut. Ordered washer dryer in stock on paid delivery date. Email a day before, due to stock issues the item will be with you the following day. Well that doesn’t work as I have to go to work. There’s a reason for delivery date selection at checkout. Changed date online to my convenient day that would make it a week without ability to wash work clothes and baby clothes at home. Two days before delivery, stock issues, we’ll deliver the following day. No you won’t because I have to work. There’s a reason for chosen delivery date. What stock issues? Where’s the washer dryer you promised to deliver a week earlier? I didn’t get it so who the f* did? At receipt of email I called Appliances-certainly-not-direct. Lovely lady answered and said ‘…there are two washer dryers coming tomorrow I’ll make sure one of them I sent to you on originally arranged date…I’ll call you tomorrow to confirm…’ then tomorrow actually magically came but the call didn’t. Don’t loose hope in people I said, some just want to be excrement so let’s try again. I called and spoke with a chap who was ever so helpful and he explained that the stock arrives even later and there’s not much more he can do BUT refund delivery fee. Great I thought! There’s a cherry. I said I’ll call later with my availability to rearrange as I was in my car and needed to access my roster. I did call, 30 minutes later. I think in that time large extinction level event happened in their offices and their brains vanished. The loveliest guy alive answered, received my three availability dates a week after second rescheduled day and heeeey presto, it will arrive on agreed day and I’ll get deliver fee back. ‘…can you reassure me I will definitely get the item on 29th?…’- ‘…yes I assure you it will blah blah…’ an hour ago on 24th. Message from The Bible itself. My washing machine will be at my door at 10:32… on 25th. Who the f* asked you for 25th? People have to work. There’s a reason behind each agreed date. The ding bat above fell short of ability to press a button called deliver on 29th. So I thought, excrement, he’ll loose his job sooner or later so all’s good. I spoke with another lovely chap. He called the delivery company, asked them to hold my item until 29th and confirmed refund. It’s barely 24th… so they still have 5 days to add to this story. Never again.

Gave 2 weeks notice for delivery on a specific date. Arranged for installation of my appliance on that day only to be told that the delivery would be 2 days later. This is totally unacceptable 😟

They are appalling. The delivery date of a washing machine was changed on four occasions, the delivery operatives claimed that they couldn't install it when it was finally delivered and I identified and reported a fault with the machine on 22 July, with multiple emails and phone calls to their customer services team finally resulting in a collection arranged for today (5 August). According to a text I received this morning, the collection has "failed" with no reason given. They did refund me the installation and delivery charge which was a plus, but I'd strongly suggest buying from another company instead.

People, PLEASE, NEVER-EVER-EVER USE THIS COMPANY! THEY CAN'T DO THEIR JOB! I've seen some bad service in my time, but Appliances Direct takes the cake. The most unprofessional, disorganized, hectic, idiotic mess imaginable. All they can do is just to promise and apologize, but the job will never be done. The delivery and the installation of a new washing machine and the collection of an old one couldn't be more complicated. At first they brought a damaged machine and had to take it away. On the second attempt they have delivered the machine, but forgot to install it and to do a scrap collection. These services had been somehow lost during the re-booking. So eventually the installation and the scrap collection had to be rescheduled to another day. And each time it means that you have to stay at home all day waiting for them, and they can't arrange a convenient booking slot. And all this time you have to live without a washing machine, just hoarding dirty clothes. Eventually, the installation and the scrap collection have been scheduled for Saturday and they agreed to do it in the morning. After so much time on the phone with their customer service team who ensured me that now everything would be done perfectly I also believed that now all would be finally fixed. But no! The guys really came in the morning to collect the old washing machine, but the note about the installation somehow was lost again. Really? Seriously? It takes 3 weeks and 4 attempts to do the job which is their main expertise? I’m really curious how do they manage to survive on the market with service like this? I had another chat with them on the phone, they were apologizing and promising that they would get someone to fix everything on the same day by 1pm. Clearly that didn’t happen. Otherwise they promised to reschedule another visit for installation on Tuesday. So I had to wait for another 3 days and cancel my plans to sit at home for another day. A day before I was ensured via phone that everything is scheduled and will take place on Tuesday and eventually they just didn't turn up and didn't call. Additionally, when I called the office one of their team members purposefully lied to me, asking to call at 6pm and knowing that the office closes at 5. A brilliant and inventive example of work with an unhappy customer. Well done! And I'm sure when I call tomorrow again they will be apologizing on the phone instead of just doing the bloody job. I’m really curious, how did all this happen and keeps happening? Am I special or is that their usual routine? Seriously, is it just one person who keeps screwing everything up, or is that the whole team? Or maybe it's deliberate? Is that possible that a company keeps screwing up one order over and over again by accident? I have a feeling like I'm in a prank video. How much more unprofessional they can get? Needless to say that my record of the most incredible uselessness is broken and with the work like this they can only loose customers and gain bad word of mouth.

NEW Whirlpool washing machine worked for a few days ( 5 ) called manager Doug he was worthless. The protocol was to go through their repair company which we did - 3 times out no luck fixing washer. All we get is the run around with Appliance Direct I don't have the problem with the repair company at all they are directed from Whirlpool and Appliance Direct. Long story but I would NEVER go through Appliance Direct ! another repair trip end of week. We just want our FULL refund and move on.

Absolutely awful customer service. Missed the first delivery date, delivered the wrong machine on second attempt, failed to collect that machine on date they stated, now refuse to refund my money until the machine has been checked over ( It never came out the wrapping ) which could be a fortnight. You have been warned, shop anywhere but Appliances Direct

Abysmal service. I placed an order 10 days before I needed the appliances as I was moving home and wanted to trouble free experience. I received an email to say my order was confirmed however 3 days before the delivery date, I was told delivery will be delayed - I purposely placed my order well in advance so I would have them as I moved house. After calls to the sales team I was told the items were out of stock!! I managed to change my order to so some items arrived on the originally booked delivery date and I also paid extra for a "unpacking service" so I did not have the cardboard packaging left at my new house. The delivery driver arrived, dumped the items on the door step and refused to take the packaging with him - all additional stress which was not needed on my moving date. I do not understand why, when placing an order over 10 days in advance and receiving conformation of the delivery date, how items can suddenly be "out of stock" This coupled with a rude delivery driver who refused to provide the service I had paid for has left me with a very poor service.

I feel like they used my money as an interest free loan. Ordering and delivery went well for a refurbished Hisense TV. All downhill from there. Delivered outside the timeslot and whilst I was at the corner shop. 55 inch TV left outside my house on its side in full view of the road. Unpacked TV, Installed it and noticed a 3-4 inch band down the entire right hand side. Called customer service who said 'you get what you pay for' - I pointed out that I paid £300 for a working TV. They arranged collection by the same company who dumped it in my front garden. Waited for a time slot all day but they didn't come. Phoned up again and got told that they have to use a different courier who can't come until next Monday. So basically they wasted my time sending out a faulty TV, left it unattended outside my house then failed to arrange collection in a timely manner. I'll let you know how hard getting a refund is especially as they marked the collection note 'unwanted'. Of course it's unwanted - it's faulty.

I ordered a vacuum cleaner and dust base station, only the dust base station have arrived. They only sent 1 package as per the shipping label, it should have been 2. I've wasted days talking with 'Mia' in customer support who isn't investigating anything and is trying to make me write false statements such as that 'the order was nowhere to be found'. I'm not saying that. I didn't say that. Half the order came, the other half did not. How many hours of my time do I need to waste before you send me what I paid for? So disappointing...

Paid extra for the named day delivery but order didn't show up until late the following day. I could have saved my money. Rubbish response from the company when I complained. Won't use them again.
