https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=tbRzFJhEjVg AO & Beko - what a fail and how to make a bad situation worse What a fail and terrible customer experience - paid for three items - washing machine, dryer and dishwasher - delivery and installation. Then received multiple sales calls disguised as delivery checks trying to sell me break down Insurance - once is enough surley, the premiums suggest it could be the next PPI scandal. Then the delivery van arrived and had to block my neighbours access as it could not be left on the road as the keys to lock it would not work. Anyway the installation guys noticed a fault with the washing machine, they actually showed me, then left saying they think it was now ok, at this point taking my old but still working washing machine with them. So I tried it, ran one cycle and it failed to work, after this I tried again, it just makes a noise and says ERR on the display, more worryingly when switched on it won't actually switch off - that's right - when I turn it to the off position the machine light and pump noise continue. AO initially said they would replace straight away as it is the day of delivery and not acceptable, then later in the day they changed the story saying the customer service rep should not have told me that and I have now used the washing machine, so they need to send an engineer from Beko to confirm its a fault. I have told them I do not want this and just want to return the item but today they have gone ahead and booked an engineer to arrive in 4 days despite me telling them I do not want this and do not want this faulty product in my house. and despite this video I sent to them ,.... just search youtube for this reference tbRzFJhEjVg Does it really need an engineer to establish their is a fundamental issue and safety problem with this product. The Beko engineer is booked without my consent to arrive in 6 days since the delivery date, so who knows how long I will be without a washing machine for. Again - the machine obviously has a big issue, do AO really need an engineer to verify this? Funnily AO also got me to turn it off for two hours and check the filter wasn't blocked - on a brand new machine - really?!? The only other option AO have given me is to return the product as a used item, as though I had changed my mind, for this I would need to pay for collection and they would also retain a percentage of the costs on the basis I have used the item and changed mu mind - what an amazing thing to tell me. BE CAREFUL PEOPLE - AO are not what they appear, absolutely terrible experience.

Will never use them again. Bought a washing machine as Xmas present, along with their 5-star membership (to make sure it was delivered in time), and they moved the delivery date twice without telling me. Eventually they told me I'd get it on 27th January! So with Xmas ruined, I cancelled the order and the membership, asking to be refunded for both. Was told I would be (and have emails confirming that), but have just been told today – a month later – that I won't get the membership refunded, as it was a few days past their cut off date when I decided enough was enough. For a company worth £360 million, you'd think they could admit when they're in the wrong and take each case as it comes. But all you can do is talk on a phone to someone who doesn't care, so you're at their mercy. Avoid.

If I could this shower of muppets zero stars, I would. There was a time, back in the day, whereby if you wanted to see a bunch of clowns performing then you paid good money and went to the nearest travelling circus. Today, you just order something from ao, open a bag of popcorn, sit back and watch their "logistics" operation fail miserably. We paid £55 for a five hour delivery slot, in our case 12p.m - 5p.m. That way, our morning wouldn't be disrupted and the evening would be free to visit my seriously ill mum in hospital. By the way, £55 isn't a typo - yes, ao *really* do charge £55 for a "reserved" time slot that they have no intention of honouring; they don't prioritise your delivery, for example, their route planning software simply generates a fuel-efficient delivery route for the driver to follow. If that happens to mean you're drop 40 out of 40 for the day then you're looking at a 10p.m delivery, regardless of the "reserved" time slot you've paid for. I wonder what percentage of "reserved" time slots are actually achieved and, more importantly, whether ao refund the charge when they fail? I'll bet a pound to a penny that they try to hide behind terms and conditions and only refund when faced with a small claims action. Hmmm, I feel a data access request coming on. Anyway, our delivery journey started off badly, tailed off in the middle and the less said about the end the better. We logged onto their tracking website to see where our delivery was and at 12.10p.m it said there were 29 drops ahead of us. As the afternoon went on, the delivery time slipped further and further back. Now bear in mind we'd paid £55 for a 12p.m - 5p.m slot, by 4.50p.m they were already advising us that there were 13 drops still ahead of us and that delivery would be between 7.00.pm and 10.00p.m! So that's the visit to my seriously ill mum in hospital down the Swanee. At 7.40p.m we took a call from someone at their logistics department who said that the crew had bailed out due to "a family emergency" and so there would be no delivery....although at this point they were already almost 8 hours past the start date of our "reserved" time slot so I don't believe that there was any way they'd have managed a delivery before midnight. If you want an entire day of your life wasted, order from ao. Otherwise avoid, avoid, avoid.

In good faith I ordered 3 white goods for my business from AO.com. When it come to delivering goods, this went with out issue however they did not have room on their van for one of the items they were due to take away. They advised they would be back the next day and never showed up. They had placed a chest freezer into the garden preventing me from using this space as a commercial business for health & safety reasons. I had to call and 'argue' with them to collect it even though I had paid for collection. They arrived the next morning at 8am and the driver complained that he did not wish to park at the side of the premises to collect the item and was really rude towards me. I then had to drag the chest freezer outside of my premises. When they met me they advised they had no room on their van and then started screaming at me. I had to lock myself in my garden as the driver was screaming at me from inside his van and was extremely aggressive then he jumped out of his van to approach me shouting after informing him I have CCTV and he is being recorded...he got out screaming and swearing and calling me names. They left the chest freezer in the street and drove off. This caused alot of upset and distress. I have sent CCTV to AO to show what an appalling service they provide. Now I am left with a chest freezer to drag in from the street and place back into my garden preventing me from being able to use this space for my customers over the next weekend and resulting in a huge loss of business. I am disgusted and AO should be avoided at all costs. You pay for a service and its all dependant on if they have space on their van so they take your money without confirming they can even take old goods away. When I asked for a refund they attempted to offer me a 'partial refund' as they had plugged in one of the freezers and wanted to charge me £8.33 for this luxury! AVOID this company as they are only interested in taking your money and not delivering the service.

I paid for a dishwasher to arrive and be connected they said I didn’t? So paid extra for delivery £40 to have a dishwasher just stuck here not connected. My parents and I saw what I paid for and we all saw it come up stating connection was part of the delivery service. As it wouldn’t let me press connect as that line kept coming up. I rang & rang to complain & ask for someone to connect it or get some sort of refund but they all said no. I’m still awaiting some refund as your website is faulty & was proved it was faulty! This has caused us all stress

I ordered a freestanding cooker/oven for a relative as their oven door was broken just before christmas and she has 4 children. I paid almost £500 for the cooker and for installation with a gas safe registered plumber through AO, and to recycle the old cooker. However, when the cooker was delivered and installed, just as the engineer was leaving we noticed the flame inside the cooker was very large as though it was catching fire inside. Upon inspection we could see that the cover that is supposed to cover the flame section was missing... and the wiring was fully exposed! This was immediately pointed out to the engineer who HAD NOT NOTICED... and was about to leave! Once he realised the situation, he turned off the cooker and said that he would need to return it for a new one, but he would not reconnect my cousins old cooker because of the broken oven door. So now my cousin has no cooker at all... with 4 young children at home. When we contacted AO all they said is they could deliver and install a new one in almost 2 weeks time on 8th January! So now my cousin is without any cooking facilities. This is the very first time I have ordered from AO.. But i assure you it will be my last! The seriousness of such a dangerous appliance being delivered into a family home is totally shocking! If we had not noticed the exposed wiring it is very likely a fire or worse could have happened once the flames heated the exposed wiring. We also took photos of the exposed wiring for evidence. Totally shocking experience! In future I will stick to using Argos or Currys.

Utterly appalling customer service. Ordered fridge freezer at start of December, for delivery on 21 Dec. Received an email at 6pm the night before it was due to be delivered at 7am, saying that they could not deliver. Telephoned customer services, and essentially got "computer says no" to any option. Best they could do was to deliver on 29 Dec, and they would waive the delivery fee and installation (i.e. £30) for the "inconvenience" of being completely without a fridge / freezer for Christmas. Avoid this company if you want your product delivered at the time they say it will be.

Avoid! Avoid! Avoid! We were promised the re-delivery of a cooker before Christmas. AO then reneged on this promise. We had to cancel the order and luckily Argos were more helpful. You never speak to the same person and have to go through the whole scenario time after time. They always 'apologise' but don't come up with any solutions. They have taken £39.99 from a disabled gentleman who took out 5 Star Membership only because he was buying 2 items. When only one item could be delivered before Christmas they refused to reimburse the 5 Star Membership. £39.99 is not much to AO but it is a lot to somebody on benefits. I'd never recommend this company.

Driver didn't bother turning up, no contact from ao, i had to chase, stated couldn't deliver for another 5 days. 5 days extra wait for a fridge freezer because your employee couldn't be bothered isn't good enough

Whilst delivering a neighbours appliance, the driver repeatedly drove over the front lawn and into trees and wheelie bins. Will be posting video on social media

The driver refused to deliver an oven due to H&S risk of carrying down 12 steps to my basement. The oven was a like for like replacement and clearing no issue before. The customers services phone operator was clearly conflicted but had to go with the drivers unwarranted fear. She was fantastic but I cancelled the order as I didn’t want a repeat experience. I am usually a fan a ao but sadly not this time. I hope they manage to find more agreeable drivers.

The appearance of alot of your vans is disgusting. Looks as though they have been pulled out the local scrapyard ! Do you not realise appearance is everything. Your crews have no I.D. which is totally unprofessional in this day & age. With no uniform how do people know they are genuine ? A.O should be ashamed !!!!

I have purchased a Beko washing maschine on the 24th of Nov and it was due for delivery today (2nd of Dec). On the 26th of Nov I have received an email from AO informing me that my delivery date was updated and it will be delivered on the 12th of Dec (they did not ask me if I am happy to wait until then or anything). I have contacted AO in the same day, informing them that I cannot wait until the 12th of Dec because I am due to give birth in 2 weeks and I need the washing mashine on the 2nd. The operator reassured me that the washing machine will be delivered on the 2nd. I have checked my account every day and on my account was saying that my order will be delivered on the 2nd. Because of this my husband took unpaid day off to be at home so he can carry it. Waited from 7 AM(because delivery time was 7 AM to 7PM) until 6.30 PM and contacted AO to ask why I have not received my order, to be told that I was informed on the 26th about the change. When told.the operator that I was reassured by one of their colleagues I will have it delivered on the 2nd, I was asked what was the name of the operator that I spoke to, how the h** am I suppose to remember, you should know, that's why you record every call, right? I was told that they are very sorry and I will get a full refund. S**t company, def I won't order anything from this

A very aggressive delivery man. Actually felt threatened in my own home - has left me feeling shaky. What a complete waste of my time. I've had to book a day off work to be told if I want the fridge I need to carry it myself. it's not acceptable behavior at all. I'm stunned that that has just happened in my home.

Bought a MacBook and then returned it. It took 3 months to collect it and when it was finally collected they claimed it was the wrong Macbook. When I asked them to return it they said it was thrown away. When i complained they told me to call the Police. I opened a small claims so hopefully will get my money back.
