Never again, year old car, two weeks in one branch, back unfixed, told to take elsewhere, 3 months in that branch, told was fixed, got home, car faulted again. Total lack of customer care or interest. After being a customer of over 20 years, never again after that experience. Got rid of car at my loss, purchased new carfrom a more reputable dealer!

Shockingly bad service. I had my eye on a 2019 Cupra at the London Rd branch in Glasgow. After some negotiating and making a deposit on the car, I went home to arrange the finance, only to be told via email an hour later that they had made a "mistake" and the car would cost me an extra £700!! I have cancelled my deposit and will be shopping elsewhere. I now have a car loan with no car, and have 2 weeks to use it or cancel the loan agreement, which will have an impact on my credit rating. Thanks folks, you've lost the sale, and lost a customer of over 20 years. Hope it was worth it.

My daughter purchased a Toyota aygo nearly 2 weeks ago online. Wasn't even offered a test drive upon collection.(the car was transported to our local branch). She has a couple of issues with the car, which for over a week she has been trying to get someone to examine (WITHOUT SUCCESS) She's been posted from pillar to post, always being told she needs a different department, then being informed they'll ring her back, NOT HAPPENED. Will tell her to ring again but if no joy told her to return this car, as I personally feel they just want her WARRANTY to run out, just in case there's a major repair needs doing.

Went for a screen wash top up to the Nottingham branch, asked the receptionist that do I still have to make an appointment for this, and she said in a negative way that she has never got that question before...She directed me to the service team and when I got there that disgusting face I got there was unbelievable. I told them politely what I wanted and was told that I should just buy screen wash... I'm sorry but this is part of my "benefits" as I bought the car from you...

Took my car for a service during COVID, prior to taking the car in, AC sent us a video to watch about the procedure they take during Covid. However, when I picked my car up, it was filthy everywhere, paperwork and a bolt left in the passenger seat. Contacted them to tell them, sent them photos 3 times, emailed them but absolutely no response at all, not even a sorry! Have bought 2 cars from them but will not buy anymore. Service is none existent. Very poor!

Took my Mazda CX-3 to be serviced at Honda Arnold Clarke in Paisley and pointed out that the rain detector and the variable action of the screen wipers were not working. Picked up the car an cathay treated me like an idiot saying that everything was working. Of course it was not. Took the car back and they recognised that the rain detector and the variable action of the screen wipers were not working but they had no spare parts. Took the car in again and assured me that the repairs were done. Today first day with rain and nothing is working. Bunch of incompetent bits. Avoid a t all costs

Absolutely terrible service, would not get another car from these again! Picked up the car beginning of May after a 2 hour drive up to Wigan from Birmingham, to be told once I'd arrived that there were scratches all along the back bumper, didn't offer a test drive just sat me down sign the papers and basically ran me out the door. I'd gone from a manual to an automatic and no help on how it works had to YouTube it. I am still to see my service book which I have been requesting since the day I picked up the car. Trying to get in contact once the purchase had gone through was a nightmare constantly being told they would ring me back with no phone call back, email after email with no reply. Got switched from person to person and each of them were as useless as the next. Then the fuel gauge wasn't working properly so they booked me in at another showroom, changed my shifts at work so I could drop my car off and collect the courtesy car to then the following day be told we can't check the fuel gauge because the tank is full and it needs to be near enough empty, at no point during me booking my appointment was I told it had to be empty. The sales person I dealt with when I bought the car said he would ring me that day once I'd finished work, no phone call so I rang and told him what the showroom had said and that he was going to arrange for the bodywork to be done at the same time but wasn't made aware I was booked in he then said it's ok because you'll have to go back anyway for the fuel gauge. I told him I wasn't happy with the car or the service and where I stood on returning the car he said he would ask his manager and ring me straight back. An hour later still no phone call, I asked to speak to him or the manager no-one available. The manager then rang me I explained everything he said I could not return the car unless a fault with it. He then said to me well obviously the fuel gauge can't be checked if it's full, No it's not obvious at all, I know nothing about cars so I wouldn't know it had to be empty. Would definitely not use Arnold Clark again, I had used them in the past and had no problems but this time it's made me never want to use them again. Completely disappointed with the company and the service After being at work all day not only for the NHS but within the prison service aswell the last thing I want is to be using up my evenings ringing time and time again

I have just purchased a new Corsa Griffin from Arnold Clark in Lenzie and absolutely love it. The buying process was so easy, staff were amazing and the extra £500 for my trade in was a great bonus would definitely recommend, although this is a small Branch they go out of their way to get you the car you want.

MOT and service Rip off company. Arnold Clark told me I need a washer bottle cap so I bought one. Never got it so I bought another and never got that one. Tried to charge me £1996 for a new CAT on a citroen c1 (a whole new exhaust with all fittings is £420). Then they wanted £1024 for a new clutch as mine was 'worn' however this didn't end on the advisory. When I said I didn't want the work doing they put my airfreasher as an advisory saying it was s an 'obstacle to drivers veiw' its tiny. They then kept mixing me up with another customer and didn't know which car was mine when they were meant to show me where my car way. At the same MOT and service I was told my brake fluid needed changing and on the phone it would be £59 when I get to the dealer ship they say that'll be £68.99 I complained and paid only £59. I feel sorry for poeple they manage to catch out with any of this.

did a online quotation on my sons car against a 2018 vauxhall corsa which was 1,220 as his car was 2008 but then the promotion code popped up saying add 500 pounds to any quote if buying a new or used car while the promotion was on which we qualified which brought the total to £1,720 did they Honour it no they didn.t they argued that 500 was added on to the appraisal before it was emailed back to me this was lies as the promotion clearly states when the part ex price is given use the code to add the 500 pounds on , so beware anyone dealing with them as i have told all my family and wide circle of friends to avoid them like the plague

I purchased a Ford Fiesta 1.0L Ecoboost (2014) from Arnold Clark Shiremoor in July 2020. The process to buy the car was very straightforward, and although they would not move at all on the price I was happy with the car. A week after driving away from the lot there was a loud spinning sound coming from the front wheels. I booked the car in with Arnold Clark (the Newcastle Ford branch this time which is closer to where I live) and when I picked it up they told me quite a lot of work had been done to the car. Obviously this is work that should have been found and fixed before they sold me the car: - Suspension drop link assembly replaced. - Secured rear exhaust heat shield (which is now damaged again). - Exhaust flexi snapped - replaced catalytic converter assembly. - Replaced front brake discs and pads. - Rear wiper not sitting correctly. All of this done just over a week after driving the car away from the lot. All of which should have been done before I was sold the car. The car was then working fine for a number of months until the spinning sound returned near the beginning of 2021. I took the car into an independent garage and they informed me my brake pads needed replacing. This must have only been around 5 months after they were replaced along with the brake discs in the first set of repairs. Around a month after this the spinning sound returned for a third time. This time I took it to another garage (a Halfords Autocentre) for a brake check. This time I was told the brakes were all fine, and that they couldn't see what the spinning sound problem was. They did notice that the rear shock absorbers were leaking, however, and one of them was leaking excessively. I had only done less than 5,000 miles of light driving since purchasing the car due to the Coronavirus Pandemic. A few days after this I also noticed that the Start-Stop technology was working - I was completely unaware the car even had this feature as it had never worked. It was operational for a couple of hours before completely vanishing again. I contacted Arnold Clark customer services about all of these issues and they told me that it was not their problem. I believe all of these problems I am still having were present in some form before I purchased the car, which means I should be entitled to repairs or a full or partial refund. They have offered me absolutely no help whatsoever and have cut off the discussion, stating "After reviewing your concerns further we are unable to change our response on the matter. I would have to advise that this is our final response on the matter". I will now look to see what legal options I have with this situation. If you plan on purchasing a vehicle I would be extremely wary of Arnold Clark as a whole, as once you have handed over your money they have no regard for the quality of the vehicle they are selling to you. If nothing else, having over £1,000 worth of repairs done to a 2014 car in well under a year of purchasing with yet more issues to have fixed should put you off ever using them. I will be letting my family, friends and colleagues in the media industry know about this and advising them never to buy from Arnold Clark.

Drove over an hour to view a 2015 vw Polo in Chesterfield. I was promised the agreed value on my trade in at my local branch. The VW had damage to almost every panel and was not given the agreed trade in valuation. Will not waste my time again.

DONT GET A CAR FROM THEM. I wouldnt recommend them .We went to the one in leeds . Got a car that should never have been sent out without being checked first . Worst experiance i jave ever had .Been in contact with customer services and they are a joke cause they are just not intrested . Our car was sent out with cracked windscreen , damaged seats , m.o.t and service has less than 6 months , No hot air and just blowing cold at -16.4 and we had to drive home from leeds to Glasgpw .

I visited your Branch on Sunday looking to purchase a 2021 plate cash buyer to be horrified by the poor customer experience that awaited me. Myself and my partner entered the showroom to find 4 staff members. 1 x staff was indeed busy with another customer however the other 3 x were idle. 1 x inparticular sitting at his sales desk on his mobile phone. 3 x of them occasionally looking up and had spotted us both standing. As a Manager myself this is not how I'd treat my customers so we just left. Whoever the Manager is of Arnold Clark Renault Stirling branch, I urge you to train your staff again. As I said this was on Sunday 9th May.
