Disgusted with the online policy of this store. Ordered items to a value of £40 online from George. Paid half using a gift card and half on my deibt card. Needed a refund on part of this order and was told I had no choice but to accept a gift card back. That is their policy. No other shop I have been to has ever had this policy and it is disgusting that they try to make you spend more money. I had no choice on the vouchers, they were a gift. I do not shop at ASDA as I do not have one locally and after this experience I will never again shop online with them either. The item I had to return was a baby bath - they list the dimensions as per the top of the bath, the bottom is significantly smaller and as such no good for the baby bath support which they sell. So entirely their fault I had to send this back. They do not actually sell another kind of bath so I have no choice but to go elsewhere and now though I have no money back to go elsewhere. Every other shop I have ever spent in with a mixed order will refund your card if asked. The customer service agent I spoke to was almost gleeful in telling me that it was not possible and that was that. Apparently it is in their Terms and Conditions - it isn't, it is however buried in the 'help centre' questions which you have to wade through if you want to find out this detail. If you just read site terms and conditions you will not find this detail. Pretty sure it is illegal to try and enforce something like this when it is not stated in the terms and conditions of refunds. No politeness from them, no understanding from them that this was due to their screw up in terms of measurement stated on their site, nothing. The supervisor I was put through to was downright rude to me and the chap called Carl in 'customer resolutions' I ended up with fobbed me off saying he would sort this out with the payments team in the morning and contact me. Needless to say that has not happened. So, thanks for nothing Asda, at a point where I shouldn't be getting stressed and I need the money you've stolen money from me. It is only £11 but when everything you need to buy for a first born baby is taken into account it's yet more money to have to find. If I could leave you a big, fat ZERO star I would. Truly awful.

Should change the name from George to Georgina as they clearly don't cater well for boys. My local Asda (Aberdare) has a total of 40 rows of clothes. Of these, 2 are for boys (1 shoes) , 4 are for men (2 shoes), the other 32 are for women and girls. Absolute joke.

In all my dealings with Asda I have been dealt with efficiently and fairly. Click and Collect is fast and easy. Returns and refunds are also trouble free, and e mails keep you informed. Well Done Asda and George

I ordered click and collect from Asda George. I was waiting for my parcel. Lady came with 3 parcels. Three of us were waiting. She gave us all wrong parcels. When we told her she started yelling. Then other 2 people got their parcels. I was only one left then she remembered to ask my name. I told her my name she said no. I looked at the parcel and told her my surname was printed on it. Can Asda train such employees???

Is anyone in Asda, ie, management and above, even reading these complaints! It seems to me it's about time the top brass got up from behind their desks, and started to listen to their customers complaints, after all they wouldn't have a job without us! My experience with customer service was the worst I've ever experienced and my issues with them were not resolved, I was so annoyed, and frustrated I gave up!!!! I'm an 68yr old lady, who is not technology savey, the customer service agent I spoke to made me feel a complete idiot!!

So make online purchase pay for next day delivery Asda take the money, no email with order details, go onto account no orders. Hoping money goes from pending to back into my account but no they take the money. Ring customer services. Wow just wow ! Who do you have working for you? Brutal trying to explain Asda has taken my money I haven’t received anything and there is no order to be told over and over and over again....I’m looking at your account there is no order.....eventually send screen shot of transaction in the bank, do this, oh I’ve never had this happen before I can’t deal with this says customer service guy to then be told again ,......you have no orders on your account ! I know this ! Give me back my money so I can spend it somewhere else ! I will not order again online absolute total and utter waste of time. Asda customer service is the worst I have ever dealt with.

As a loyal Asda customer of 25-30 years it pains me to report that their on-line offering is not fit for purpose. As a person in isolation I rely heavily on getting what i need through home delivery. My experience of their ordering web site is one of total disorder and disarray with availability notices changing and changing back again as you fill your basket. Items such as bananas, oranges, grapes, broccoli and wines that are readily available in our local Asda store are shown as unavailable on line! Asda even ask you to believe that they know two weeks in advance that they wont have bananas and oranges. Items that are available the day before delivery suddenly are not. Substitution of items is supposed to be at no extra cost but that is often facilitated by reducing the weight or quantity of the substituted item. Other substitutions are totally inappropriate. Bags you pay extra for do not arrive. Drivers, whilst usually helpful and polite, don't seem to have been instructed on Covid distancing or face covering rules. It is about time Asda senior management woke up to the fact their current performance is proving to be a great advertisement for going to Tecso, Saisbury or some other caring national

Abysmal, delivery, customer and returns service. Only one of two boxes arrived, endless jargon filled auto answering telephone service led to very fast speaking staff who proved didn't listen because their subsequent arrangements were a total disaster. Customer service response to my missing box of orders, "lost in transit, refund and reorder. After consideration I once again went through their patience testing telephone procedure to arrange pickup of the Items that had arrived in the first box, I told them I didn't have the original large box so the items would be in two parcels, no one turned up on the day designated pickup day, back to the telephone, pick rearranged for today, driver arrived with one label for one parcel, as I cannot face yet another phone call, I've decided to dump the item and write off the cash to a never to be repeated experience.

Ordered a carseat was supposed to arrive today tracking said it was on its way waited all day for it then said there was a problem with my order. Quick enough taking payment but not quick enough delivering items on supposed day. Rang to complain seems my order is missing. How can it go missing between being delivered to store. Still awaiting to find out where my order is. Won't be ordering anytime soon again.

Asda Byker , click and collect and Screen Filthy. I was sent a text with order number on “Your George.com order 75418146 is ready to collect from Byker Store,Unit 5 Newcastle Shopping Park store. Please bring valid ID by Thursday September 24, 2020 to collect your 1 parcels.“ Tried inputting the number 3 times, advised unexpected error go to customer services . Young lady and older lady on desk . Young man outside desk , all staff with no masks ??? I am wearing a mask to protect them . Young girl requested help with my collection on tannoy another lady around 40 ish approached with no mask ??? Another few members of staff passed I counted only two with masks on . What on earth is going ? I understand staff don’t have to wear them it’s their choice , so why do I ? No one is protecting me. I will not be returning to this store for cluck and collect . I know I can shop elsewhere locally and staff are wearing masks . If it’s good enough to be mandatory for me , it would be common courtesy to wear them for me. No one checked my ID either . I did show my phone , hope that’s good enough .

I ordered items and paid for them to be delivered on a nominated day which was Thursday 6th August. The items i bought where to be used for a funeral on Friday 7th August (someone i haven't seen for months due to covid19. On 6th August (the day i paid to recieve the items) i recieved an email to say my items would NOT be delivered on my nominated day. I phoned Asda George and spoke to someone and i had to ask the man on the phone 6 times could i speak to a manager, finally i got someone but soon found out it wasn't a manager but a Supervisor, i then asked the Supervisor to put me on the phone to a manager. Finally i got a manager on the phone. I was on the phone for over 1 hour and 50 minutes and spoke to 3 people. I didn't get anywhere with them, after all that time on the phone i was told i would get a call at 8am on Friday 7th, i didn't recieve a call so i phoned them myself and spent another 40 minutes on the phone (so altogether nearly 3 hours in 2 days) to be told i would recieve my parcel today (which is too late). I was offered my delivery charge back on the Thursday and the was told the same thing on the Friday so one of the managers actually lied to me. They offered me £10 E-voucher to use online at George but after all i have been through with the calls and the stress and upset this has caused and i felt like they just didn't care what had happened. I will NOT shop at George again if this is how they treat their customers! It is disgusting!!!

You charged my card e81 and said 7-9 days for delivery to Ireland. Fair enough. 11 days later order still processing? I contact you to find out what is going on and you send me an email cancelling my order and tell me to replace the order if I’m still interested? Awful customer service. Avoid at all costs. $20 out of pocket due to exchange rate changes.
