Stay well clear of this company, had booked a visit 2 weeks ago, they never turned up(said I should have gone to them), then they couldn’t come out to me because the fitter was ill, now been sat waiting since 9.16 this morning, it’s now 1.18 pm customer service said the screen was broken at there end and somebody would call me(nobody has called) I will be asking for a full refund as had to have two days off work so far ,Disgraceful

What a shambles (Doncaster) Said they were coming - said they weren't several times.Appointment had been booked for a mobile visit - claimed I was due at local hub.Claimed it was due to a technician being poorly.Said if screen had broken on road still would not come till next day - 24 hours sitting in car at roadside - operative did not seem to understand the ludicrousness of this. Two operatives said yes booked foe mobile visit another sdasid they were "mistaken".Messed about so much.Eventually miraculously they came on day booked but lot later. Pity had to use them through Swinton Insurance - complaints lodged - awaiting outcome - asked for full refund. Avoid if you can - lets see how good a job they do - replacing windscreen now in drive !! Kevin Cross

Had my car broken into yesterday (06/10/20) and my insurance company put my in touch with this firm after over 12hours was contacted back to say they could not get a replacement window till Monday 12/10/20 so told them to forget it as had sorted local. As the window was open it could have been stolen anytime and I would be liable.

Auto Windscreens is simply the worst company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I had replacement windscreen done by them two months ago and I'm discovering now that they have damaged my car in the process! And it's impossible to get into contact with anyone to sort this out.

Auto WIndscreens are one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with and I strongly advise you not to use them if you value your car. I had replacement windscreen done by them over 3 months ago and they damaged my car in the process. I have spoken to them countless times and been repeatedly lied to that the replacement part was no longer available (a lie), that they would get a dent repair company out (also a lie), that they don't give out the MD's email address (another lie as I found it on the net). Finally I contacted their MD yesterday by email and got a phone call from a customer service agent, who told me that miraculously, despite having absolutely no contact whatsoever from the company for over 7 weeks, that the part (yes, the one that apparently isn't available) is being painted as we spoke. Evidently Auto Windscreens believe that I came down in the last shower and I made it clear that I didn't believe this. It came as no surprise to have been told this morning that there is a dent in the part and that I should take it to a garage. Seriously? I run around in my own time doing the job Auto Windscreens should have done in the first place? Please don't get involved with this company, they really are awful.

They didn't turn to the first appointment. We sent to a fitting centre for a second that they didn't book with their own fitting centre. August 17th we first contacted them it's the 8th September now and again we have no confirmation of todays appointment. I have been dealing with this on behalf of my daughter, I have put the complaint in on her behalf as we have a password on the account but due to data protection they won't talk to me now so they must have been wrong to talk to me in the first place. So they will now be reported for a breach of data protection. Lots of promises for calls back, updates, calls from managers. Not true. Such a dishonest company. Avoid at all costa. When your insurance is up for renewal make the policy does not use Auto Windscreens. Still uncertain when the windscreen will be replaced. My daughter is a key worker and the windscreen is cracked in 4 directions on the drivers side.

I was really nervous about using this company given all the negative reviews out there. But they are also half the price of Autoglass so I went ahead. Glad to report that Marcus who came to do the repair was excellent and I had good communication from the company from when I booked the appt till when the technician arrived. Thankfully it was just a repair and not a replacement. Due to the uncertainty over whether it would be a chip repair or windscreen replacement I didnt pay upfront but paid after Marcus had completed the repair. Cant fault the service at all.

Booking and fitting fine, but shocking non existent customer after-care. Ref:10849733/10858680 Booked an appointment and had the windscreen replaced with no drama. However, after I got home I noticed the rear view mirror had been installed upside down. Due the the mirror size and roof design it is not possible to simply rotate the mirror through 180 degrees, it needs to be removed and re-fitted. Have now called twice, and twice was assured I would recieve a call back - but alas no-one has. This is now becoming an urgent issue for me as I have a 600 mile overnight journey to make in 5 days time. Extremely poor customer service (I use the word 'service' in the loosest possible way). If you have any other options available use them and avoid this company.

Two weeks, 4 cancelled appointments, 2 wrong parts ordered, numerous phone calls unanswered, many promises to call back unkept. Just avoid this circus of incompetents.

Unreliable, unaccountable and rude. AVOID. Unreliable, unaccountable and rude. After paying £95 nobody turned up when our time slot was booked and after calling the lady on the phone never apologised or said she'd look into it only " oh he probably got held up" nothing was done until I made it clear I was making a complaint. I am now on hold after being told to stop ranting. Please train staff to after such calls "I'm sorry to hear that, let me look into it for you". Or better yet, don't miss the appointment, or.... let the person know you are going to miss the appointment.

Unfortunately you can't score 0. Advised by an "Elite Technician" that the windscreen was repairable. Booked for a repair, during phonecall I asked what would happen if the windscreen wasn't repairable/unsuccessful, the bloke in the call centre skirted around the issue. A different technician came out, and to be fair to him he was great, but there was only any mention that it wouldn't be guaranteed after the work had been carried out. The technician felt so bad about this he actually called his manager to see if anything could be arranged, unfortunately by this time they had already taken a card payment over the phone. The repair lasted less than 48 hours, when the crack grew massively. Called to explain the situation and was advised that we would receive a full refund, then received a phone call explaining that they had made a mistake and we would get a refund if we took out a screen replacement through our insurance, unfortunately auto windscreens aren't an improved installer (can't think why 🤔 🤔) and therefore it will cost us more to replace the screen. We were then informed we'd get a partial refund, only to be told that we wouldn't get a refund at allnunless we had a replacement windscreen through Auto windscreens. Informed by a lady in customer services that someone would call us back and not to do anything, after 24 hours I then called as we still couldn't use the car. We were then told that we should have been informed of been informed that the work wasn't guaranteed when we booked the initial repair (we asked, it was skirted around. Eventually a manager called back to say he was happy with the service provided as its only "to extend the life of the windscreen" and again would only offer a refund if further work was carried out through them, not a chance on this level of customer service. Absolutely appalling customer service to claim they feel 48 hours is a reasonable amount of time for a repair to last, but will happily offer a refund if we have a new windscreen fitted through them.

Andy, technician from covenrty branch, visited me today to replace a rear window that had shattered. I can honestly say from start to finish he was very proffessional, his communication was great, rang me to give an ETA, he made me feel like a priority and valued customer. Top man - easy choice of 10 out 10.

Had my windscreen replaced via my insurance by Auto windscreens in Leeds. Job was done quickly but the near side window trim wasn’t refitted correctly and it subsequently fell off in transit about a month later. I returned to auto windscreens in an attempt to resolve the matter but the manager was adamant that there was no liability upon their part and insisted that the screen fitters work was infallible and there was no way that he wouldn’t have re- fitted the trim incorrectly. He suggested it had been stolen! I however can not accept this explanation and total lack of ownership of the issue from the branch manager. So I needed up with a bill of £30 for a new trim on top of the £75 excess to pay. Maybe if they took a little more time and care issues such as this may not arise.

Dishonest company My windscreen was replaced with a non genuine one They say it's my fault for not requesting a original part specifically.  I was not told it would be generic brand. I was not told I had a option. As none of these options was explained to me.  They are trying to blame me. I am being passed to and from agents. I have already paid my excess plus a whopping £180 to have my cameras recalibrate (ADAS) Which has caused a fault with my collision assist software. I am being asked to pay again. Which is unreasonable. They have failed to calibrate my ADAS. A genuine honest company working with a standard of professionalism and a little bit moral values with take ownership of this. As a result the value of my car has been impacted. I cant drive my car with collision assist on as it suddenly emergency stops the vehicle when driving. So I had to turn it off. They are now trying to hide being their T&Cs I have raised a complaint to see what they will do about this mess up which has nothing to with me but has everything to do with autowindscreen cost cutting and saving a few quid. Next step will be the financial ombudsman

Auto Windscreens cancelled my scheduled appointment Mid Feb because the windscreen hadn’t arrived. They couldn’t offer me another appointment prior to my business trip. I told them it had to be done on 16 March and no later because MOT is due and I have meeting from 17th onwards. They promised me that it would be replaced on the morning of 16th March. I received a link with the date and it had been pushed out again to 17th March, which they knew wasn’t convenient. I called customer services and the reading brach. The glass wasn’t ordered until Friday 13th March, and there is no way the windscreen can be replaced on 16th. The company is a joke. Please please do not use them. Awful. Customer service will not help you. Reading auto windscreen do not care, appointment system is totally inept and just a general lack of customer focus or satisfaction. It’s now 12:40 on 16 March and I have no idea when my windscreen will be replaced. Car will fail MOT, and yet, I have tried to sort the windscreen out 6 weeks prior to MOT.

And there you go, another bad review for Auto windscreen for which i am not surprised reading the other reviews, wish I had read this before using them. My car was book in, and all was fine until the engineer who did the job could not make the rain sensor work properly, so a senior engineer later came and could not fix it either. he came back a week later and still could not fix it. 3 month later after calling their customer service twice to complain they had another go to fix it with another method to no avail. The engineer told me that the car had to be re calibrated for which I was not happy as I am a design engineer in automotive and know how this work. he even was on the verge of losing his rag. Car was working fine before and if they used the appropriate replacement part it would work fine but they wouldn't listen, they even tried to say that my car was faulty and the rain sensor need changing which I know his not true. But instead of finding and fixing the route cause of the problem they wanted to bogged it and recalibrate the sensor so, I took it on myself to take the car out of their hands and called their customer service once again and my insurance as well to let them know that the service provided by their supplier is poor, very poor. They tried to call me back and because I lost complete trust in their engineers, I have refused them to touch my car again just in case they I have now ordered the correct part and replaced it myself and everything is back to normal and rain sensor works as it should. They are liars and treat customer in a bad manner. They should start by listening. It’s not because you can change a windscreen (even badly) that you understand how electronics work on a car.
