Peglegs was a bit intimidating at first for me following surgery for a three bone ankle break (Trimalleolar fracture). But as I grew braver (and stronger) it got better and better.

The peg leg was excellent in fact I'm going to use it again once I've had my opp done on my other foot , it gave me so much freedom the first time round I would highly recommend it .

Great service and product. Bit of a shock when i slipped on ice on my holiday in Austria and when i returned i didn't have time to sit around i needed to get around my house and look after my three kids. The i Walk facilitated this. I even combined it with crutches for a visit to a kids football match. The best thing was it aided my recuperation so when my pot came off i was still fit! Brilliant product thanks!! Jonny Burhouse MD Rockshop Wholesale

The iwalk gave me a new lease of life and allowed me to be mobile while my leg healed.

Excellent piece of equipment which was used when my husband had his ankle fused. Is having another foot operation soon so will be bringing it into use again. It enabled him to be more mobile without the use of crutches. It would be helpful if the knee area was more padded as prolonged use caused some rubbing until we made a small cushion to fit over the edges.

I had a foot operation in February which meant I was unable to put any weight on my foot for 6 weeks. The peg leg enabled me to get out and about at a time when otherwise I would have been very restricted. I am 74 and found the NHS crutches difficult to use due to not having sufficient upper body strength to support my weight over any distance. The peg leg was good around the house without extra support, outside I used a combination of peg leg with crutches for extra balance. This enabled me to take good walks around our home town of Poole in Dorset to the interest and amusement of all. Poole is notorious as a pirate town of old! After use I found a market for my peg leg on E-bay so hopefully it is continuing to give good service to someone else.

I had surgery on my ankle not allowed to put my foot on the ground for 9 weeks, I was miserable on arm crutches. You can't use your hands, can't carry a drink or do anything useful! My neck, shoulders and arms were painful. I saw the Pegleg iWalk on line and ordered immediately! It arrived quickly, My husband assembled it in a few minutes. It is very adjustable. We followed the online video instructions. I had it a little high at first then adjusted it to be very comfortable indeed. It took a couple of days to get used to it then I was walking confidently and able to do pretty much all daily tasks. I got really quick at popping it on and off , it has easy to use clips. It made my 9 weeks in plaster much easier. I have put it in the cupboard just in case anyone in the family ever needs it!

I used my iWalk2.0 before my operation, on my foot, and after. It allowed me to work and rest my foot at the same time. It kept me sane. I really can not imagine how I would have managed without my iWalk2.0. It is well designed and very reasonably priced, which is important when one is self employed with no sick pay. I tell everyone about it, especially the health professionals as none of them had ever seen one in action.

My husband used this whilst waiting for his prosthetic following a below knee amputation, it was great. It enabled him to get about, indoors and out , gave him much more independence than being in his wheelchair. A wonderful idea and should be promoted more by NHS. Hopefully won't need to use it too much now but we've kept it just in case he isn't able to wear his prosthetic at any time. Thanks - a simple idea but then many good ones are!

I have no bought two of the I walk free units from Jerry at Peglegs. I have one in my car the other one at home, I have been using these for a couple of years now, I am a below knee amputee and can't use a normal prosthetic leg. So these I walk units I use daily, without them I am stuck to a wheelchair which I hate. I find them fantastic, and couldn't live without them now. Equally Peglegs, are a fantastic company, always there for any help or advice if you need it.

This is a fantastic product. I am a below knee amputee and bought the I Walk2.0 while I was waiting to be fitted with my prosthetic. It meant I could get around the house with out a wheel chair and the I walk is much safer than crutches. I still use the I walk on a day to day bases when showering at home or away. I would recommend this to any one with lower limb injury or amputee below the knee.

Had three iwalks and have found them to be a great way to get around. Being a lower limb amputee with the complications of having CRPS I can't wear a normal prosthitc as they squeeze the affected area so much it's a non starter. This gives me a chance to walk around stand up at the sink, so it's great. The last one I brought had a modification at the front, gone has the straight bit, it now has a dip in it so my knee is not hitting it when I walk. My only criticism is with the straps, but is only a minor point. Once fitted they are ment to stay as they are but do work lose, I have stitched Velcro on to both sides of the straps and I feed what is left of the strap back on its self between the plastic buckle then attach it to the Velcro. It stops a lot of the strap movement and I don't have to keep adjusting the stap to make it tighter. Jerry is excellent and always gets in touch after I email him for any spares I need, I can't fault there business and how they conduct themselves. I'm looking forward to the new mods that are due out, the choice of thicker padding and the one pices replacement foot pads. The iwalk is a game changer for lower leg injuries, people are always commenting on the iwalk. I would recomend this and Jerry to anyone.

The iWalk 2.0 was absolutely invaluable in getting me mobile following an ankle fusion when I was non weight-bearing for 12 weeks. I am 66 and found it no problem at all, having practiced the week before my operation. On the day of my operation I took the iWalk in with me and showed it to the physiotherapist, and was absolutely gobsmacked that she had never seen or heard of it. She then tried the leg and was amazed at how easy it was to use. Potential users should note that the foot is let or right handed, and MUST set it up correctly before use, or it will be very unstable. However, correctly adjusted, it is ultra stable and incredibly easy to use. I walked out of hospital the day after my operation carrying the crutches I had been given, under my arm, and have not used them since.

I had complex foot surgery that required me to be non weight bearing on my left foot for 11 weeks. Without my peg leg I would have gone crazy. Peg leg was brilliant, really easy to use, and it meant I could use my hands and do lots of normal stuff. I'm also convinced that using a peg leg accelerated my recovery and rehab as i was still loading my upper leg when moving around. A brilliant invention, I would highly recommend it.

I purchased this as I could not physically cope with the normal supports - I am 6ft tall and weigh 90 kilos - - I found this device extremely helpful and easy To use.

I found this to be a godsend. After I broke my leg, I had huge problems getting up and down stairs on crutches and had resorted to scooting up and down on my backside. The iWalk meant I could get up and down whilst standing, and made a huge difference to how mobile I was. It also allowed me to go to see a show, and to return to work. Obviously, the time you can wear the iWalk for is really dependent on how long you can kneel for, but even with that limitation, it really helped.

We purchased the iWalk in January after I fell down the stairs and ruptured my ankle. I am hopeless on crutches and was liable to fall again and break the other leg with my ineptitude. The iWalk was a godsend to be honest. Although I cannot say that it made me race around like a two year old (I am a lady of a certain age) it did give me the freedom to walk around and not to have to keep to my wheelchair. I mastered it quite quickly and putting it on and off was simple. Please God I never will need it again but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone who struggles with crutches and needs the freedom to keep their hands free. Only one tiny negative... be careful with the iWalk on wet tiles. It can slip out from under you if you don't take care.
