I don't even know where to start, reading all these reviews from only the last couple of weeks all mirror my experience. At the start of January 2022, myself, my wife and my four-year-old daughter went to our local Benson for Beds, we purchased a new bed for my daughter and my wife and I got a new mattress, which had been a long time coming. The shop staff were great, but that’s where the positives end. We ordered a childs bed, a childs mattress, a set of draws, and an adult double mattress. 6 weeks for delivery, great. Messages all along confirming everything is fine. My wife takes the day off work for the delivery which did come, however, it was all over the place. The childs bed came, the draws came, and another set of draws we didn’t order? the child’s mattress came but was filthy and our mattress was missing. What follows is a series of too many failures to mention. From texts pleased to advise they are changing our delivery date on the day it’s due for another months time, us taking multiple days off work for nothing, delivery drivers who did try to help didn’t know what was going on and seemed equally angered by their employers, no answers, even customer service staff on the phone (when you can get through) shrug their shoulders in confusion (or simply don’t care), honestly if I wrote every issue and listed all the misinformation we’ve had with this company this review would take way more time than I’m willing to commit to them as they have wasted enough of my time already. It’s still on going. Shop staff are great, delivery drivers (when we see them) have been great, but everything in between is a stressful and unreliable mess. Wish I’d read the reviews first. If that’s why your reading this, go anywhere else to purchase your bed.

Service in store was very good. Arranged a delivery date. Had a text to confirm several days before. Then receive an email in the evening before to say can’t deliver as promised. Will email or text in 24 hours to confirm new date. Nothing. Spoke to the manager of the branch. He couldn’t care less. New delivery date 8th June. Disgusting.

Some people actually get contacted day before or on day saying there won't be a delivery and delivery drivers actually contacting to say where they are I've heard nothing since end of January when they took my money they keep arranging delivery dates and never show.. No money no bed bo correspondence. I believe I have been robbed I'm going to have to see a solicitor get in touch with trading standards and rip off Britain. No customer services where is my phone call

There is no customer service. They take your money and you will never get bed you will never here from them they need eradicating from the planet I have come across some scum in my life but these are subhuman terrible company and the staff are the same . I will not use any company with any financial links to Benson we don't do beds

Ordered and paid for a full divan set 16th January, told 7 weeks lead time. The day before delivery was due, I received a text saying there were delays - new date was today 6th May - 17 weeks lead time, got a text last night to say there was further delays due to 'operational issues' and next available date is 13th June - that's 21 weeks lead time for a bed that is manufactured in the UK according to the website. I've emailed customer service, the CEO and COO - no response so cancelling the order - if I could give zero stars rating, I would!

I wish I had thought of reading past reviews before going to Bensons. The staff at the Harlow store were very good, but the distribution part really lets them down!! Ordered my Tempur bed and base in early February. Was to be delivered this morning 6th May. Got up crack of dawn to re-arrange my house, moving furniture etc to make access and stripped bed. Killed ourselves trying to put the mattress into the bag. Got a call at 7am by the driver saying that he had the base but no mattress! My whole order was £2824.97 for a kingsize tempur mattress, base, 2 Tempur pillows, removal of old bed, and assembly of new one. Not a cheap affair. I am now waiting to be contacted within the 24 hour period as I have escallated it as a complaint. I have had to arrange time off from work, and the whole situation has left me with a feeling of no confidence! I am extremely upset and wish I had gone elsewhere.

Two different deliveries that have been on order for over three months and they contact me on each delivery day to say order is incomplete and they can't supply full or at all. And then add on a new delivery date of 4-6 weeks later. terrible supplier service and i fully would not recommend them to anyone. If i hadn't waited four months already, i would have just cancelled both orders and gone elsewhere. i may just do that.

I ordered a bed on 20th Dec 2021 still waiting after 3 non deliveries still no bed this company is a joke took 3 days off work waiting for it to be delivered I’m still waiting for them to contact me disgraceful

am extremely disappointed with the quality of the orthopaedic mattress that I bought for my mother who suffers from joint pain. The item came with a 5-year warranty but flattened out within six months, which obviously made my mother’s joint pain even worse. To make matters worse, when I contacted Benson for Beds customer service, I was treated in a very dismissive way and told that they could not help me, despite the fact that the mattress came with a warranty, as I mentioned before. I am genuinely shocked at the sub-par quality of their product and even more so with the poor customer service this well-known brand offers. I emailed the management but haven't received any response. I would give zero stars if I could, would not recommend it to anyone!

Delayed & No guaranteed delivery We agreed purchase of duvet bed early February with delivery stated end of March which should have been binding agreement that I adhered too. Less than 48hrs from delivery date informed bed would not be delivered with some lame lies about no delivery vans available. They informed of new delivery date in May. This is over 3 months since agreement & 6 weeks later than planned ! Even then they wouldnt guarantee delivery ! When you speak to staff in store its all 'nothing to do with us or we can do as you purchased via internet site' ! Of course I did as it works out cheaper !! But same bed from same company as retail store. In summary I ordered bed in Februrary for delivery end March & nothing delivered up to May so no bed ! Terrible service/company !

I ordered a bed and paid for it and was told it would arrive in 4 weeks. I was sent emails saying confirming all ok and it would arrive on the due date. The day before I was told that they can't deliver and it would arrive in a further 6 weeks time. Number of utterly ridiculous excuses followed. Result: I cancelled my order and went to Dreams who could deliver 3 days later. Dreams service was brilliant. They kept me posted and delivered on the right day. Dreams are a very efficient company , something Bensons can only dream about. I would suggest nobody uses Bensons as they are utterly incompetent. If I could give them no stars I would have.

We purchased a zip and link super king bed which after a year was collapsing, Bensons agreed to take it back and sell us a different zip and link for an additional £1200 on top of the £1000 we had already spent. Nine months later this second bed also had a problem. They said they could refund us and would collect the bed. It took them 3.5 weeks to collect durning which time we continued to pay the finance company. Two weeks after the bed was collected I called Bensons to follow up on their progress only to find that they had not sent notification through to the finance company to settle the refund. The lady said she was doing it while I was on the phone with her. One week later I called the finance company who advised me that they had not received anything from Bensons to advise of the cancellation. Five calls to Bensons at almost and hour wait to get through as they have 64 callers in the queue,(that tells you something in itself ) constant assurances that all is in hand. Had the phone put down on me twice. Really??? So all in all we are making payments to the finance company for a bed we have not had in our possession for over 9 weeks. Durning which time we have had to purchase another bed elsewhere which is fantastic and a fraction of the price. if you are looking to retain your sanity stay away from Bensons. Still waiting for our refund.

Exactly the same situation as all these other reviews. Ordered on the 4th March. We are now on our 3rd delivery. Always informed really last minute that it has been cancelled. Staff are rude and don't know their own procedure. Sales staff don't care now they have your money. I cancelled a weekend away to accommodate the last delivery date for it to be cancelled last minute. On hold for 1 1/2 hours to be given no information. We are sleeping on the floor and I definitely won't be using them again.

No customer service at all. Ordered in Basingstoke New Store Paid in full and waited over 6 weeks. Advised delivery between 7 and 1 and no bed arrived. Called number provided to get a automated message that kept repeating itself. No call and no explanation so I called the store to be advised that it had left the depot at 10. Still no bed arrived. Received notification over the bank holiday weekend that it is now being delivered on 08/06 due to limited stock. So did it actually leave the depot. Called the store to speak with Manager and have been advised they don’t book slots and all they can do is to try to bring forward. When I asked who delivers I was advised that it is Bensons. No communication no service. Astonishing and I do not recommend Bensons

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Absolutely disgusting customer service. They confirmed our delivery the day before for 7-1pm and at midday on the day it was due they emailed to say our order had been delayed. A week later and we get another email to say our order is ‘due’ for delivery in a further 6 weeks. No call. No explanation. Avoid this company at all costs. You can see from the reviews that they are not a reputable organisation. Your order will take months, if it arrives at all.

After seeing our super king mattress we bought it for £1485 paid in full was told it would be delivered to 28th April 2022 so from the time we bought it that was 7 weeks to wait we received a text from them to say it would be between 7am to 1pm when the day arrived for our mattress to be delivered we were away so I asked a neighbour to come in to let them in at 10am that day the driver called me to say had anyone been in touch with me I said no why he explained they didn't load our mattress on the lorry at their Leicester depot and someone was calling me I was not happy at all so called the store where we bought it they couldn't do anything so called customer service I was 110 in line so requested a call back 2 hours someone called me said sorry and will contact their Leicester deport to see next available delivery and I would get it by text and £100 compensation when it is delivered I got the text it won't be delivered now until 7th June 2022 I an not holding my breath on that either absolutely shocking so that is nearly 3 months for our mattress keep away from Bensons for beds shocking company and I will not buy again from them

Absolutely disgusted by the service that my severely ill Mother that Bensons for beds have given her, was meant to deliver the mattress on the Monday but after ringing to find out what time it was being delivered she was told they forgot to ring her on Friday before to say they were out of stock. The next delivery was scheduled for the following Friday between 7 and 1, no bed to sleep on apart from her sofa bed luckily but uncomfortable. She waited in all day but still no mattress, My partner and my mother telephoned the helpline and waited in a queue (60) before being cut of and store now closed until Tuesday. My mother tried again to phone the Farnborough store on Saturday 30th April hoping that the mattress was going to be delivered that day but another no show and was told nothing they can do until Tuesday . What an absolute joke this company is to leave my mother like this in her condition fighting cancer ! Avoid avoid Avoid ! Disgusting customer service with absolute no clue on what they are doing

Mattress ordered from farnborough branch, delivery date given, between 7 to 1, despite poor health up early, waited, nothing, called, over 40 mins to speak to advisor, told out of stock will deliver friday. Friday came early start, waited, nothing, rang 40 min wait, told, van left late bit of delay be with you by 3. Nothing, rang again person not really interested had to press for answers. Told new delivery date will get text next day, nothing. Rang store, warehouse shut for bank hol, might hear Tuesday. I'm angry, upset, at total lack of customer care, shouldn't be allowed to trade, yet carried trust pilot logo. Total thieves

Waited in 7-1 for delivery of mattress which never arrived. Customer services line disconnected as message stating too busy to accept call! Advised by store mattress was never out for delivery and couldn’t guarantee next delivery date or when that would be! How can a business trade like this? frustrating after waiting 6 weeks already.
