Wish I had read the reviews. We ordered £5000 worth of bedroom furniture. The incorrect wardrobe arrived and had to be reordered. A £300 refund should have been paid. I had to ring several times as they only refunded £175. The saleswoman at Carlisle was worse than useless as she had ordered for wrong one. And another part of the order wasn’t out on the van for delivery and now have to wait another 5 days for it. Customer service are useless. I have posted comments on their fb page surprise it’s been removed. I have now decided that I don’t want anything from them and will reject the whole order. Never. Never never buy from them!!!!

We bought an i gel mattress,felt really good in the shop, 11 months on shoulder ache night sweats, not recommended for the price you pay when you sleep well on a mattress away

My partner and I ordered a headboard, bed frame and mattress in store back in January. Today, the order arrived without the headboard. We’ve had no explanation or pre-warning that our order would arrive incomplete, despite contacting them last week requesting for the delivery to be pushed back. In fact, Benson for Beds point blank refused to delay our delivery unless we paid them £100. My partner has called 5 times today, placed on hold up to 30 mins each time - not to mention a phone call where they hung up on us! Still no wiser regarding the whereabouts of our headboard and now must wait until April to take delivery. What complete utter rubbish from a company willing to accept a £3,000 order, yet unable to communicate with each other, provide proactive solutions or deliver a product paid for in full by their customers. Just do not even consider buying from here. I so wish I had read these reviews before passing any money over!

We bought a bed in early January with bensons for beds and I honestly wish I had bought it from anywhere else. The delivery men were awful and put zero effort in taking it up the stairs and then decided it wouldn’t fit so left my house as I was speaking to customer service on the phone. Customer service was shocking and told me I should have better common sense than to order a bed too big (it wasn’t too big). I asked for the bed to be returned as I was confident the bed WOULD fit up the stairs and the delivery was delayed several times. When they eventually gave me a delivery date, they said that the bed had been damaged during transit and that i could wait for a new bed or take the bed and have a refund. I opted for the refund as by this point not having a bed was just inconvenient. Upon delivery, the bed fitted just fine up the stairs and my partner agreed a refund price over the phone. We were never once asked to send photos of the damage and we assumed that they must have taken pictures the self considering they were the ones who told us the bed was damaged in the first place. We are now being refused a refund and being treated like absolute dirt by customer service. I am planning on returning my bed for a full refund and making sure that myself or anyone I know ever buys from benson for beds.

Terrible experience. As for honouring refunds: good luck! It had taken 2 months of chasing phone calls and visits. They couldn’t care less. Avoid.

Don't ever buy from Benson for Beds. If you get a faulty product, Customer Service DO NOT offer a replacement except send a third party to fix it. Benson for Beds customer service are awful, as they can't wait to get you off the phone and don't reply to emails. They should be investigated for not replacing faulty products.

The worst ever company to buy from. Be warned DO NOT purchase anything from here. The absolute worst after sales service ever. I purchased a chest of drawers has taken nearly a year to sort as each time parts were missing and when trying to deal with customer service received appalling help. Still waiting for it to be sorted. Please anyone thinking of buying from here is DON'T , ONLY HAVE TO LOOK AT OTHER REVIEWS. i made the mistake of not checking first regretfully

Bed delivered on time I paid for install/assembly. Wasn't assembled correctly base wasn't lived up found a bolt for holding base together was missing also one foot broken. Contacted customer support was told they would send out a foot and bolt and once it arrives we then phone again and wait until it eventually gets answered to book an "engineer" to come and fit parts. Bed arrived in 4th Feb Reported problem on the 5th was told it could take 28 days for parts to arrive when they did arrive we booked an engineer we received a text that the engineer would be here on 24th Feb between 4 and 5 well guess what it didn't happen. I contacted Benson beds customer support to be told we don't do the repairs we pass that to another company here is their number, not oh sorry about that we will look into it and get back to you. No they are not interested they have the money.. I did try to contact the other company but as it was now after 5 they are closed. After sales customer service NONEXISTENT...

£1500 Igel Matress dipping at 8 months old. FIRAS came to inspect the Matress after I called Bensons to complain. FIRAS technician threw a weighted string over the Matress, had a quick push on the affected area (which he clearly could see because he spotted it without me mentioning) then said it was within tolerance levels. It's criminal to see how Bensons expect anyone to sleep at an incline/decline, I want to sleep on an even surface like the other hundred people who complain on here do. Bensons refuse to accept my complaint. I'm stuck with this £1500 Matress. My only hope is to try a small claims.

Avoid avoid avoid!! So far I’ve had 3 beds and am still not satisfied. Customer service is appalling - I’ve taken 3 days off work with most money and they are refusing to entertain any compensation. Disgusting!!!

We went in to Bensons and Dreams on the same retail park but were leaning slightly towards the design of the bed at Bensons. The man we spoke to in Dreams actually warned us of Bensons terrible service which we thought was a bad sales tactic but turned out to be true. We went back the next day to proceed with the quote and order the bed. Once ordered and a 20% deposit put down we got a call from the store offering us our 'quotation' at a few hundred ££ cheaper... to which we said we had already purchased the bed and could they amend our order to honour this new price. Upon a dispute with the store and head office we were offered £50 off our finance amount. A few hours later we got a call from the MANAGER of the store offering us the cheaper quote yet again!? Do the staff at this store even communicate? After various phone calls all we were able to achieve was the £50 off. We were then messed about when our delivery date was moved 3 times and the mattress came 6 weeks before the bed. After further correspondence with Bensons we were offered £15.00 as a good will gesture, to which we responded we would rather them give to charity as the offer was a slap in the face for all the time we spent chasing this order. Furthermore when our first finance payment came out the reduction was not even applied and we had to chase them AGAIN. To which I was told the finance reduction had been declined... did nobody think to re-apply for it or at least call us? After another 30 minutes on and off hold we managed to get this put through again (hopefully)... I guess we'll see on the next payment! Absolute joke. Walk a few doors down and deal with Dreams instead.

If you have problem search and read up on: Consumers Rights Act 2015 - goods should: Satisfactory quality Goods shouldn't be faulty or damaged when you receive them. You should ask what a reasonable person would consider satisfactory for the goods in question. For example, bargain-bucket products won’t be held to as high standards as luxury goods. Fit for purpose The goods should be fit for the purpose they are supplied for, as well as any specific purpose you made known to the retailer before you agreed to buy the goods. As described The goods supplied must match any description given to you, or any models or samples shown to you at the time of purchase. If you are within 30 days you are entitled to a full refund? After 30 days you still have rights. Contact Trading Standards, citizens advice for direction and support. Look at Martin Lewis web and Which co.uk for advice. E-mail, write to CEO - spread the word on the street to warn people. I have and will continue to do so

I returned my memory foam mattress as it was below standard, it was collected 2 weeks ago, they cannot find it in the warehouse so will not refund me. Just a joke, £600 they have of my money.

Unbelievably awful!! A brand new mattress was delivered yesterday. Although I expected a soft mattress, I never ordered SAGGY mattress. It dips so badly, the material shoots out over the divan!!!

Are the worst company I've ever done business with! First they deliver our bed with a leak in the van and try give us a bed filled with dirty water. When we send it back they promise to be in touch but aren't until 9pm that eve.  I'm heavily pregnant so they promise a loan bed the next day which doesnt arrive only for us to ring and be told it hasn't been scheduled for delivery and our actual one won't be coming till march. They've put notes saying tried to ring when they haven't as well! Complete fob off. The store doesn't talk to the warehouse who doesn't talk to customer services or the delivery drivers apparently. Save yourself the grief and do not buy from here!

bought sensory foam 3 years on now has always caused bad back and aching not happy. I complained 2 months from new but experienced bad service.... would never buy from here again.. never had a bed that feels like your sleeping on a hill as it dips in the middle.. unhappy customers would not recommend!

unfortunately it is not possible to give zero stars. order 3 piece bedroom suite. items arrived but wrong warbrobe. after a dozen phone calls and 3 months later correct item arrived. disgraceful company. they then send a £50 voucher . Unfortunately the voucher was for benson for beds!!!! you could not make it up. DO NOT BUY from this company. the worst i ever dealt with. disgusting. i am now contacting the ombudsman regarding their so called voucher offer

Just before Christmas we ordered a new bed, base, headboard, pillows and bedroom furniture. The bed was delivered two weeks ago and we paid extra to have the delivery guys unpack and put the bed together. Unfortunately due to a manufacture default they could not put it together due to missing parts in the base. The relevant paperwork was completed, and we were informed a new base would be delivered. I then called the customer service team and was informed, no problem a new base will be sent, four pillows arrived! I called them again and advised them exactly of the problem, 2 screw fittings arrived! Not the right ones I might add! You really couldn’t make this up. Nearly £6 k short and still can’t sleep in the bed, and waiting for the bedroom furniture still. I’m just wondering now what next will arrive, garden mower, bathroom suite?? I just can’t believe how bad the service is from the customer care team.

Along with all the previous reviews, I agree that the quality of the mattress that we purchased has not come up to what we expected in that it is sagging already (after only six months). Examination by Benson's rep reported that there is no fault (this seems to be in common with several other reported reviews). Altogether we are extremely disappointed and would certainly not recommend Benson's to people.
