Where to start!! We purchased an Ottoman Divan Set Front opening Santiago king size bed costing £1799.00. Arrived on correct day, set up and looked good. Every week after turning mattress around we noticed a slight bump in the middle of mattress, this has now developed into a rather big bump, lumpy mess. Bensons sent out an inspector who took photos and explained that we just needed to “iron” out the mattress every morning. I’m assuming he meant by our hands and not a iron!! I have never had to do this with any mattress in my 61years on this planet. However we did as asked, it did not help and got worse. Phoned Bensons again told to get my own independent inspector who they recommend again it was in spec!! So we have given up. Now the bed frame is squeaking something terrible which wakes you up every time you move in bed, again Bensons do not want to know. I will never get anything from them and advise anyone else to do there homework and shop elsewhere.

poor quality defective matress with deep bump n hole despite repeated calls noone helped to replace or refund ne horrific experience

Matress sagging, hump in the middle and impossible to sleep on without feeling your falling out of the bed, complaint made and sent an home repair gentleman who agreed that it was very poor but said he did not think Bensons would take any notice of him, how correct, they said , it was within the normal linkage, well it's not normal for me so have taken out a court order for supplying a bed that is not fit for purpose, I intend supplying an independent evidence !! Do not use this company if you want a good matress.

Poor delivery service, parts missing, bed frame sagging and mattress failure. Spoke to store advised to send photos in, did so no response, called customer services then told photos meant nothing, will need to pay for 'technician' to visit. Was not told that at point of sale or in any literature from store. Waste of money, effort and time. Bunch of jokers, but I'm not laughing.

Purchased Sealy king size bed and mattress from birstall store in Leeds in January of this year . initially store staff and delivery me was exceptional. However, discovered one side of base damaged. Contacted customer services and this is where the problem started: overall after spending almost eight hours waiting for them to answer the phone ( from.january to August) and speaking to seven different people ( and request to speak to education's team being denied ) my issue was finally resolved ( this was also after the replacement agreed was not on the delivery van as arranged) . I requested that I wanted the bed returning and a full refund . Miraculously the bed was posted cked up within a week however, I had to wait for the money and was told that I would have to go back to the shop where I had originally purchased it from The staff weren't supposed that due to customer services the bed had been returned. I pointed out that I had the bed had been a cash purchase (almost £1800).which had come out of my account within hours yet it took all students two weeks after I had purchased it back on n January. I also pointed out that I had to contact them on a frequent basis and that had I purchased the bed on finance I would not have started paying for it till it was satisfactory. On a final.note with regard to mattress I suspect that the ones that are returned are then sent out again after being used despite people paying full price ??? Despite negative reviews Benson's still need to sort out their customer services and distribution services. I also need to say that I received a text from them a couple of weeks ago saying that they had ordered my replacement base and they would then contact me with a delivery date !!!!!! So much for data protection. Think very very carefully before making a purchase from Benson's !!!

My experience is a negative on unfortunately. Delivery problems, item faulty, return problems and customer service giving wrong information. I would strongly encourage anyone who is going to purchase from Bensons to take a step back and look at all review sites, not only Trustpilot but Facebook amongst others where you will see an overwelming influx of photographs, comments and real upset from customers. No; communication was everything other than standing on a rooftop shouting you have done me

BEWARE - REFUNDS GIVEN WITH A 20% CANCELLATION CHARGE. I.E. YOU ONLY GET 80% OF THE COST REFUNDED (unless the items are damaged!) Even when packages are unopened. Wanted to return 2 x Headboards as they are too big for the room and the colour does not match the Divan colour. The Salesman did not make us aware of the cancellation Charge when we purchased. We spent £1999! Assembly charge - paid £20 for the delivery driver to screw 4 feet on to one bed. Customer Service telephone line incredibly long wait. 41 minutes was the longest queuing time. My worst buying and Customer Service experience ever. NO CUSTOMER LOYALTY.

Don't, just don't. Overpriced and very poor quality. When products go wrong they ask the customer to PAY for someone to come and have a look. Don't respond to emails.Unbelievable. Do yourself a favour and avoid at all costs

Denise at Wakefield, you lie bare faced to customers I don't know how you sleep at night. Your company cause stress and huge problems and when it comes to the refund you try to get out of that too, the customer is the victim you horrible horrible individual get out of customer care and work in a prison where you can treat people like they are in the wrong! You have no customer care skills at all.

Absolutely AVOID THEM! First time they did not deliver the mattress and one out of two bedside tables was broken. Mattress arrived 1 week later and we received the new bedside tables after almost 2 months and guess what? They are broken again! Never ending story and very poor customer service. The shop keeps bouncing me back, asking to get in touch with the customer service. Every time you phone them you need to have a good hour to waste before being able to talk and the music is also not good. ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE!!!!

this Is a Mickey Mouse our out fit . Left hand doesn’t know what the right hand doing . 3.5 wks later still no bed delivery has failed to bring mattresses on first day second day they didn’t bring the base . And each time they’re not allowed to leave partial delivery then I’m fobbed off . They’ve even taken the £1200 from my account. I’m disabled and my old bed was destroyed leaving me with nothing.

Holly was our sales assistant who was very welcoming, polite and professional. Although my first mattress was very disappointing Holly who was very knowledgeable went through the alternatives and the one I have chosen seems to be very comfortable. The delivery drivers were very courteous and helpful. I did know about not getting you money back if you did not like your mattress, but I think perhaps it should all be explained very clearly to customers first.

Keep well away. All the promises are just "Con sale talk. When they promise so much like one can change a matress if it does not suit your requirements. What a load of codswallop, they have every talk out angle available. And then expect you to fork out some £500 for a new mattress after spending around £2000 on a totally new set up. My warning is keep away and look elsewhere for a company that offers a truthful reliable service. After sales service is disgustingas is the floor personell on the shop floor. Reminds me of the dicwy companies from the 1960's full of con artists.

I purchased 2 adjustable beds from the Ipswich branch of Bensons for Beds on a Monday and noticed on the Tuesday that there was a spend and save offer on which reduced the price by £400. I eventually got hold of the salesman who informed me that they could and would not price match or refund me the £400 as per their terms and conditions. If I wanted to cancel it would cost me 20% which is £381!!!! Appalling. He told me he was not aware of the sale starting the next morning when I purchased the beds but I’m not convinced especially as he told me his manager had visited that afternoon – surely they discuss upcoming promotions. If I had purchased on-line, I could have cancelled and then re-ordered at the lower price as there are different consumer rights. I used the store because retailers are struggling to compete with on-line so thought it was the right thing to do but if the companies do not offer terms and conditions as good as online then why use the store. The salesman said he understood why I was unhappy (more like furious) but there was nothing he could or would do. I eventually got through to Customer Services after a 30+ minute wait only to be told as per their terms and conditions there was no price match refund, no good will gesture despite me spending nearly £2000. No Customer Service whatsoever. My advice is DO NOT PURCHASE FROM A BESONS FOR BEDS STORE, PURCHASE ONLINE IF YOU WANT TO USE THIS COMPANY, YOU GET BETTER PROTECTION AND RIGHTS.

Everything went wrong and still going on . Bought a bed in Orpington branch after only two weeks it dipped in the middle by 6cm I complained as bed was expensive, after that they sent a man to check it and agreed it was foully, they never contacted me after that or got back to me , I had to keep calling them to ask what they were doing about it to which they said “ do you want us to replace it “ really ? Obviously I did but no email etc . After another 6 weeks they replaced it . After another 10 days I noticed the new mattress doing exactly the same, I thought it can’t be . Maybe imagining it But when I slept in it I could feel it dipped in the middle . I got onto them again and still they never contacted me , customer services terrible, so eventually they sent another guy out he said the mattress had been damaged well I’m a pensioner and the guys who bought it in were not great , it was definitely dipping in the middle, He left I didn’t hear for two weeks and so I CALLED THEM AGAIN ! After waiting on the line half an hour they answered only to tell me they are not going to replace it or get a refund . So after only 6 months since I bought the bed two mattress faulty I’m stuck with a bed over 1.200 that is not fit for purpose. Disgraceful in my opinion. I will take it further. I asked to talk to a manager and they said they can’t do that . I’m so dissatisfied and upset 😡 by BENSONS. Just a con in my opinion,

SHOCKING SERVICE Bought a bed on the 28th oct was told it would be delivered on the 31st. It arrived on time and as arranged, unbelievably they didn't bring the mattress. They told us it wasn't put on the van and to give it 20 mins then ring the shop. On ringing the shop they told us it was nothing to do with them and they would ring the warehouse and ring me back.,2 hrs later I rang the shop back to be told customer service would ring me to sort this out (still waiting) . The following day I rang customer care who answered after walking 30 mins. I was told how sorry they were and that they would look into this matter. We will have to find out where your mattress has gone(all ready been told it wasn't put on the van). They rang the warehouse and told me they could deliver the mattress on the 6th Nov. I refused and asked for my money back to be then told we can't pick it up till the 8 th nov,can drop one off on the 6th but can't pick one up (amazing). I can't have a refund till it is picked up. I've no bed apart from a blow up camping mattress . I live 20 mins from there warehouse unbelievable and I'm still waiting for them to ring me to confirm collection

After a dreadful service at the Bognor Regis Store we were given great advice from Sam at the Harbourne store, he could not have done more to be helpful. After the experience at Bognor I certainly would not recommend Bensons For Beds in general but Sam at Harbourne seems to be the rare example of an excellent member of staff in a Company that generally seems to offer poor customer service.

The follow u service it awful, I have been waiting 6 months for a problem to be resolved, they now say that they've done all they can and the warranty has expired, it has expired in July, I made my call in May. Would not recommended them to anyone.

I wish I had read the customer service reviews before purchasing a wardrobe from Bensons. There is no customer service. Dont waste your time waiting for a call back - it won't happen. Never again will I buy from them.
