The sales person was so incompetent it was ridiculous. I had to repeat everything over and over. It was clear that she didn’t listen properly or read my emails. When I mentioned my frustration she replied with “BIT BUSY” as if that made it OK. Also, when the boards were delivered the bullnose board was a different shade than the rest of the boards despite being labelled as the same colour. See attached image. I also don’t like the fact that every board is wrapped in single use plastic.

Purchase on two separate occasions and everytime something went wrong. Felt like I was dealing with the most unprofessional company. The sales manager Steve needs a lesson in how to be a professional manager. 0 care factor!! Too long to go through all the issues and delays and screwing around he cause me. Would never return or use again!

Customer service over the phone was great until I paid for my order ($8k+) and then it all went downhill. Promised delivery the following week and then could not get in contact with anyone. Delivery was promised the week after that and again no communication from the company and no delivery. Had to have my wife call on a different number and was able to speak to someone else who said they would chase it up. Another week an I finally get a call to say they are sorry but can’t find a transport company to drive interstate to deliver even though I had already been told they were on the way and had paid $450 for the transport. We then suggested a company in our hometown which worked out and they were able to pick up the following week. Finally received my order to find Brite Deck had supplied all the wrong fixing hardware which was not compatible with my boards. I was told to keep it all and they promised to send new hardware in over night airmail to me. 4 days later I had to drive 2.5hrs round trip to pick the order up from the depot in Adelaide as Brite deck sent them through road freight not airmail as promised and the company would not deliver to my house as it was too far from the depot. It finally got my fixing with 1.5days left to lay my entire deck before we had over 30 people coming round for my sons first birthday. I finished the deck 1 hour before people arrived and had to take 2 days off work as annual leave to get it done working 14hours both days. After receiving a phone call from the owner of the company I got an apology and a refund for the delivery promised it would be sorted within the week. The week passed i had to call again and chase it up as well as asking for a refund on the $250 worth of stainless fixings I paid for which were useless to me. Finally received the refund a couple of days after that.

I am super hoping we don't have to order more decking than they supplied us as their estimate is far less than mine because it was an absolute maximum stress to get the items delivered to us that had been fully paid for in advance. We were told they could be delivered in 3 days but as I was in no hurry I said just deliver in two weeks is fine but it took 6 weeks and at least 12 calls & me losing my patience to get it delivered in the end. Even when it was delivered the truck driver wouldn’t unload it as he wanted to be paid first which was already done through Brite Deck. I was told at first we hadn’t paid a deposit so the order was even started which was not true, then they had not allocated enough decking to our order so they didn’t have enough, when it got delivered the first time there was no way to get it of the truck on site so they took it back as I she my wife was not capable of lifting the weight of the boards & the truck driver wouldn’t either. Lets hope the product is better than their extremely poor service & I am hoping I don’t have to order anymore & go through this all again. My advice is try elsewhere.

If we had of received the product, I could review it. We ordered months ago. We’ve had 3 delivery dates and it’s been cancelled right before delivery. Paid for in full. No phone calls to let me know what’s happening. Always me ringing them. Customer service is non existent. Would NEVER recommend this company to anyone. Awaiting call back from yesterday and still haven’t heard anything. If they still can’t delivery, I will cancel the order and demand my money back in full

The worse composite board we have ever used, very heavy and you apparently can not screw within 25mm of the ends of the boards as they crack and blow out, so everywhere you have a but joint it needs to be double joists Tech support took 2 weeks to reply to our issues and were of no assistance Will never use again MK carpenter/builder 30 years

Communication is very poor and pressure sales were used to try and push me into the sale. Not real happy, I am now going elsewhere to buy decking. I would NOT recommend brite to anyone, worst salesperson I have ever dealt with.

Very well. Where shall I begin? We were sent the wrong screws with the initial delivery. We scratched our heads as to why the screws wouldn't sink into the steel frame unless we pre-drilled the holes. As the deck is 140 m2 this meant we had to predrill 1000's of holes. Anyway, we did it. Then we ran out of these dodgy screws and had nothing. So we asked for more and were sent timber screws, even though we had sent several pictures and emails clearly showing we were using a steel frame. Then we were sent the correct screws. These screws don't require us to predrill the holes saving us a tonne of time. Alas, we are 95% completed already when we realise this. Even though we sent the engineering plans Brite Decking over estimated and sent us 17% too many boards, which equates to $5100 in unused boards and overpayment. You sent us about 500 more of the metal clips than we could possible need while at the same time you didn't send us enough anti-creep clips meaning for the 4th time we had to stop work while we wait for you to send more. The instructions on the Brite Decking website were nothing like the accessories we were provided with. The fascia boards are not wide enough. We had to figure out how to properly trim the edges of the deck ourselves. If we hadn't figured out a trim/angle solution the whole project would have come out looking terrible. The joke on site here is that you guys should change your name to "Not so Brite Decking". For a $30K investment our deck will eventually come out looking great, But this is only because the boards look good. The rest of the experience made me wonder whether some people on your team have taken a course in stupidity and tried really hard. Regards, Phil Mathieson

“Cracking boards, cracking boards everywhere!" Just like all bad reviews I read about Brite Decking, this one is about not caring about their customers, warranties, and the overall poor quality of the product. I have a warranty issue which I reported 15/03/2022 and the first couple of months after reporting it, I was being ignored. Just ignored. No debate, no nothing, just ignored. I got told that the founder of the company was in Columbia, and he needed to deal with this. I guess the whole warranty process falls apart if 1 guy goes to Columbia and apparently emails don’t work there either? As I have seen on different review platforms this seems to be the way they avoid honouring warranties. They try to drain you until you give up. But I did not give up and finally after 4 months of ridiculous excuses, somebody finally came round and admitted the product is faulty, but the solution offered would still leave me at least $10,000 out of pocket myself to rectify all the issues and I would need to dispose of the faulty boards myself. They advertise on FB as a true-blue Australian company with long warranties. And mentioned that several times in the quoting process claiming they were manufacturer and supplier. So, I did the right thing and bought products from them late 2018 & again in 2021. Very responsive and attentive during those sales processes. Could not fault them. But of course, that is at the stage where I am spending money with them (Over $14,000 in total). Turned out they did not manufacture themselves and started shifting blame on “their supplier”. Which is amazing since I have emails from them in 2018 claiming they manufactured the product themselves. The whole idea about composite boards is that they are low maintenance and will last for years, what a joke if you get them from Brite Decking. I have lodged with NSW NCAT & NSW Fair Trading as have done many other people. The more of us that put a complaint in, the better. So, this company gets stopped before they do even more damage. It might even be a good idea to get A Current Affair involved. Feel free to email me on rubbishcompositedeck@outlook.com

DO NOT BUY FROM BRITE DECK Ok, I'm sorry to say but after writing up a positive review on this company. I have had the worst experience thus far. It's 3-4 months and counting but I have yet to have my issue resolved. I have even contacted Stephen Scott (Founder), which after 1 email reply.. that was it. Basically, I ordered the nextGen titanium composite board. However, the boards arrived damaged and some you can see the discoloration already. Even though they were damaged, I had no choice but to use them as I had the framing built and I had a deadline for it to be completed so the area can be used. The team at Brite are aware I had to use the damaged board. I have been contacting Brite about getting replacements on them but to no avail, no one would answer my emails. Not even Stephen who is supposed to be Founder of Brite would answer my emails. It's very frustrating. Apart from that, even if they do replace the boards, who is going to install it? I've already cut, shaped, drilled them down... this takes a lot of time and it means I'll have to do it again. Have a look at the photos and tell me who would be happy with that. It hasn't even been 6 months and it already looks like it's been there for years. On their website it's supposed to be weather resistant with a double layer of ASA, protection against weathering, stain and fading and supposedly 30 years warranty. It hasn't even been 6 months and I'm having trouble getting the damaged floors replaced. I'm now asking for refund on the damaged boards as I can't be bothered installing them myself. Unless they offer to install it, then fine. Be warned of Brite, DO NOT buy from this company as they have not been very professional in resolving my issue. I would recommend any other supplier of Decks, their product is not as good as what they seem. I paid $9k for these boards and I am deeply disappointed. I've given these guys several chances and until now it has not been resolved.

Offers no solution to a clear warranty issue, they don’t call back or say they’ll pass it on but it just doesn’t happen. We’ve chased them for weeks/months and there’s no solution, nobody has come to inspect cracks in boards after only months of use. Even a sample board that has always been indoors shows cracks. This is not ok! They were very quick with replying before purchase, but customer service is worth nothing. The person I spoke with on the phone is great at his job: fencing off the people that are actually responsible. Must be a hell of a job.

Product delivered broken and scratched numerous times after very slow delivery. They say it will be there on a Friday, expect it the next fortnight Friday and that’s after you have to chase it up numerous times! Company tries to blame the customer. Take lots of photos! Don’t be fooled by nice initial customer service. They will treat you like a criminal if you complain about broken and scratched boards delivered! The boards are thrown around in the back of the truck in the same manner they treat customers who have spent over $15k! Absolutely disgusted. Should’ve saved the stress and gone to Bunnings.
