Hi, I bought the D7000 kit, I found the service sadly i had to take the camera back, for some reason I was getting blurred pictures, you sent it of to Nikon, and came back, not much different, i then took to a local photographer who sorted it out, but from time to time my lens has a dicky fit, for some season it goes on a full focus and stays there, I have to turn the camera off, to fix the the problem,, so in a nutshell things could of been better ,

Calumet are very good when it comes to ordering the goods you need, with advice and help with queries and getting your goods to you. The staff at Manchester are great. Unfortunately Calumet falls short when a problem arises, as, for example, faulty goods. You are requested to put your complaint in writing, but I am still waiting for a reply, or even an acknowledgement, 6 weeks later.

I ordered a camera off the website and chose to pick it up at the Manchester store. I was told I would be sent an email when it was available. I wasn't sent an email and it was only after a few days when I phoned the store to check that I ws told that they'd had it for several days.

Disappointing service over Christmas , ordered a tripod boxing day but i had realistic expectations of delivery over Christmas. Nearly a week later it had not turned up and no contact so i called customer services to discover the tripod had been sent (no dispatch notice received) but the courier was unable to find the address (the same address that the postman and everybody else finds) the courier actually tried to tell me the address was wrong, as if i was confused about where i live. In the end i had to go and collect the tripod from the couriers depot, costing me time and money! So why no dispatch notification? why no phone call despite having my mobile number? incompetent courier (and i suspect dishonest) and poor service all round.

Hi guys I'd honestly say that calumet is a 3.5, you're always normal, sometimes amazing but other times very poor. Generally the service is good, but emails have gone unreplied. The service inshore can be incredible but often when you start chatting to various members of staff you get a look that says "oh my god, you're are going to cause me hassle". I spent 7 years working in sales for a high end music manufacturer, dealing everyday with the end c

Regarding your show room in Belfast, the way you sell your studio accessories suck. Sorry to be so blunt, you can't really sell in boxes. It dosen't matter with me, I know what I am looking for most of the time. I have to open sealed box after box to see the goods/products, most of the time, I end up buying! Because I have known the staff for years and years I feel comfortable doing this. I can't see the occasional customer doing this. Hope this helps.

Bowens could fix the Estime 3000 AMF pack - so was very disappointed in that.

In store staff are great ... web site very clunky and not user friendly .... turnaround of goods very poor you have products on your website when you try to order they could take 1 week to 10 days to get in stock and deliver (profoto) not good enough for a busy professional . You lost a sale from me as 1 of your competitors had the products to me next day. If you are selling products such as the profoto rfi range to the professional market you should have demos in stock in all branches these products are not cheap and it would be good to sample before purchasing .

While the service was polite, friendly and efficient I ended up with one product that did not suit my needs. I was disappointed that it was a calumet own brand and that the staff member did not have the technical knowledge to spot that the remote release would not be suitable for light painting as it was not possible to use on bulb setting.

hi your front counter staff at the Milton Keynes head office (carol) is an absolute credit to you. I knew her from snappy snaps when I worked at the Milton Keynes citizen and we used to drop off our films for devving. (till we got our own darkroom) any how that aside your website is absolutely atrocious its missing images its not even in any type of logical order. ive given up ordering from your website and gone elsewhere. I came in personally to purchase some ilford ID11 in 1ltr powder form and was told not in stock on 4 separate occasions so I succumbed to ordering some there and then, its been 2 weeks now and it still hasn't arrived. I gave up and went elsewhere and it was delivered next day for £1.90 (2 litres of perceptol and 500mls of tmax Kodak pro). learn form this. why on earth don't you open up a shop in Milton Keynes some place, you would be the only bona fide photographic shop in the area. you would sew up all the trade. Calumet as a supplier for walk in or hire are a good company and competetive with prices its only a pity that the same can not be said of the analogue colour paper supplies. They advertise a price then change after the item is paid for and if the price for teh order is lower than the highest charged, it seems strange that the supply suddenly is no longer available unless one purchases at the higher cost. Very dissapointed and now obtained an alternate analogue paper supplier at a fraction of the calumet price

price displayed was less than the price charged. Also had camera cleaned and afterwards it broke!

Good service generally but I wasn't happy that the second Matthews 40" grip arm wasn't available and it took 2 calls to find out that you couldn't get hold of it.

I was initially very impressed by your staff in your Belfast office. I travelled from Dublin to purchase over £5000 worth of camera equipment (Nikon D800e with grip and extra battery, Nikkor 24 1.4, Nikkor 50 1.8, a Gitzo Traveller tripod, and a Billingham Hadley Pro Bag) late last year. Your representative was very knowledgeable and had stock shipped in from other branches to ensure everything I wanted was available. I was very happy with my purchases Three weeks later; however, I decided I wanted to purchase another Nikon lens (70-200 2.8) and when I contacted your Belfast branch for pricing, I was only offered the standard Nikon cash back discount, which is available to anyone purchasing the lens. I had hoped after spending over £5,000, and looking to spend an additional £1600 that I would at least get an extra 5% off. I was very disappointed with this, and travelled to Belfast where I purchased the 70 - 200 lens in Jessops because it was marginally less expensive. I really appreciate great customer service, but I also shop around for the best prices; and Calumet lost a customer because of this. Regards, Justin Mahon jbmahon@gmail.com

I have made several purchases and I have found the customer service levels on occassions to be below expected. You refused to accept my student discount as it had expired but had done so because I was waiting for an item of your own brand merchandise to come back into stock. Wheelie bag. I always shop around before coming back to you to make any purchases.
