“Do not deal with the new Glasgow Canadian tire... I had called in about getting 4 new tires and they told me there were in stock.. then I had walked over there after waiting at wonder auto. When I got there I was waiting there for 20 mins waiting for the guy to bring the tires.. having 2 people cut in front of me while getting service. Then the man comes back and says I can't find them.. not happy with the service I received. Employees chitchatting with the lady that cut in front of me instead of dealing with my issues first... I'll never ever deal with that Canadian tire no more... Im having a hard time wanting to deal with this outfit”
“Do not go to Canadian Tire Kingsway
if you are lgbtqia2s+ this location discrimates
against you the basis of who you are and because
of your disabilities.
Do not give this hateful and transphobic franchise
any money!
So back in December 2023 I took my car in because
the car would just randomly die. The battery would
be totally dead so the Canadian Tire Kingsway automotiv
garage said oh its your battery so they replaced it.
And the problem still continued to happen with a new
battery. I took it back to them again the garage said
we don't know and refused to do anything about it.
So now it is April 8 2023 I have an unrelated problem
with my power steering being really hard to turn so
I dropped the car off April 7 2024 over night and left the
keys in their drop box I get a call the next morning
from the manager of the automotive department saying
we refuse to look at the car. He said that there was a
note on the account saying not to look at my car.
I call the Canadian Tire Customer service and I find out
that it was the franchise that put the note there
and now refuses to deal with the car in any way.
Customer service claims that I intimidated the staff
there now I am a woman and transgender I don't think
that the staff there also likes that either and
discriminates against me because of who I am.
I am also diagnosed with Asperger's Sydnrome as well
and Canadian Tire has been told this in the past.
Simply because I have trouble in social situations and
the staff doesn't understand my disabilities does not
give them the right to discriminate against me.
I deny intimidating anyone and that is nothing more
than a lie. I believe this is a retaliation by the
franchise for making a complaint to the Canadiantire
Corporate head office back in December 2023 about the
no starting issue. I did nothing wrong. This franchise
is hateful and transphobic! do not go to this location
I would give this store 0 rating if I could!
I have emailed the Canadian Tire customer service
already about this and spoke to them on this phone
about this matter. Canadian Tire tells me
we can't force the franchise to fix my car,
they don't seem to want to do much about it.
Avoid this location at all costs! The franchise is
hateful and discriminates against people on the
basis of their gender identity and their mental
disabilities.

“Your return policy for parts and supplies is extremely poor and outdated.
Attempted to return 2 5litre jugs of Quaker state oil and two oil filters recently. Not knowing exactly when they were purchased I stated two years well exceeding the time frame. I was not aware that according to your floor manager the maximum allowable time frame for all items was 2 months. The items to be returned are stock items in your store with a rate of sale very high. Your reasoning for this deplorable decision would be appreciated.
C. J. Hunter
P.S. I have a Canadian Tire Triangle credit card and these purchases are easily traced. I no longer require the above mentioned items because I sold my Maxima and Nissan and purchased a BMW thereby negating my ability to change my own oil.”
“Everything got too expensive, and they don't have carts anymore in St. Stephen. My go to store has gotten greedy and the prices are out of control. The people shopping there only buy 1 thing instead of a cart load of stuff. Good luck pricing yourself out of business”
“Had a wonderful experience at my Canadian Tire Service Department in Aurora today. My car battery died and I need my car tomorrow and Farokh in the service department said to come in and he replaced the battery and had me back in service within an hour despite how busy they were.
Farokh was amazing and went above good customer service

“On Wed Dec 28 I went to Canadian Tire to have a tire put on my original rim at 200. I dropped the tire and rim at 130 and was going to be given a text when the tire could be put on the car and the spare removed. I returned 1.5 hours later and had to wait 30 minutes to get the tire on. Upon leaving a paying my $43.00 bill I checked to make sure the spare was replaced under the rear of the truck box. Instead the lazy kid put the tire in the back of the truck. When I seen the mouthy lazy %$#^&* he said putting the tire back properly was an extra charge. No one said that and no one asked ? What kind of a lazy &^%&* thinks an older person with back problems wants to crawl under the truck to put the tire back underneath when it could easily have been done on the hoist ? Lazy Lazy employees and supervisors too lazy to make sure job was done properly for customers who "use to" shop there all the time. I wont be back. Ill go to a small neighbourhood shop who respects the customer.”
“My husband took the company truck to have snow tires installed at Canadian Tire on Dundas St. Cambridge, he had $210 gift cards inside the vehicle sun visor, when he picked up the truck the gift cards were gone, went back to service desk reported it, left contact info, its been a week no call back, my wife called in spoke to service manager, was told that he knows his guys, they would never take anything, said that I probably misplaced them.
He was going to check the camera. Still not a call back.
Please stay clear of the service department.
Poor customer service.”
“It seems Canadian Tire is more worried about the cost of patriotism then putting a few Canadian flags outside of their stores. After all these renovations, I have not seen a single Canadian flag flying in front of any of their stores in the lower mainland or on the island
.
PRETTY PATHETIC..
IF this American Tire you bet there would be flags.
Cheap, unpatriotic corporate scum.
Shop somewhere that shows some pride in the country.
Fly some Canadian flags!”
“i went to Canadian tire in Langford BC about a week or so ago, my intent was to purchase a 1/4 inch socket. sounds fairly normal. but all of the sockets were locked behind glass. along with many, many other items. when i got an employee to unlock the glass, she would not let me take the socket, she had to escort the 3$ socket to the checkout. i asked what if i wanted to purchase several other items. maybe some of those other items might be behind glass as well. she had no adequate response. i then asked if it was a good idea to treat all of their customers like common criminals. and again she had no adequate response. so what happens if you want to purchase multiple items. do every customer require a personal escort to follow you thru the store, carrying your items because they assume you are a criminal going to thieve everything in the store? I was embarrassed, for myself, but especially for the employee who had no answers to this ridiculous policy by Canadian tire.
I really think Canadian tire has to review this policy, treating your customers as if they are going to rob the place is not any kind of an answer. it is just ridiculous.
Canadian Tire, DO BETTER...”
“The auto part service at the Canadian Tire store on coventry rd, ottawa, ON, is atrocious. I bought a set of 4 winter tires there only to find out the next day during instalation at another garage that I was given 2 winter tires and 2 summer tires. When I went back to the store to fix the problem/resolve the issue, not only they were very dismissive but they even tried to convince me to buy 2 tires of different brand name/ specs to replace the summer tires they gave me by mistake. All the staff had a very bad attitude including one of the Managers who was smarking with one of the customer service reps. while I was explaining the situation to him. Instead of trying to find a solution, all they offered was a 1800 customer service number. They even had the audacity to say that “all they could do” was to take the 2 summer tires back (like if that was a great concession from their part), I mean that is their obligation after selling the wrong item. After talking to a different Manager, finally, they found at the back of the store the two winter tires I had ordered - something that if they had done in the first place it would have resolved the problem. No wonder why this store has ver poor ratings .”
“NEW
Please don’t trust this gas station or any other Canadian tire money was forced out my bank account and they still haven’t returned it don’t tether this retsrted store whaat a goof”
“Do more evaluations to your mechanics, do some trainings.
I had very bad experience at your garage, after I paid 700$, my car started to have some noises although I didn’t have it before the service, your mechanic said that all mazda 3 cars have this problem when replacing the brakes, I have to wait until the rust builds up and the noise will go away. It’s just not right.
If your employees do mistakes, they need to learn who to fix that, not just cover it with silly reasons.”
“I recently tried to purchase a reusable respirator from Canadian Tire as they had them on sale. I did a lot of research and asked for advice from professionals in my field before selecting the model I wanted to buy. When I arrived, they did not carry the respirators in any size other than a medium. I consider respirators to be a pretty standard piece of safety equipment that is used in many different environments by all people. The fact that, as a smaller woman, it took me weeks to locate a respirator that would fit my face is ridiculous. The only model of smaller sized safety glasses for women were also out of stock (and much more expensive). When I approached the sales person at the store, he said that I wasn't the first to complain about the lack of options for women and he was sure I wouldn't be the last. He apologized to me and said "I'm sorry, I just work here."
Upset, I posted my review to their website and was later informed that my review would not be published. I believe the reason is that I was not directly reviewing the respirator. I would, however, like to review the store as a whole. This kind of sexist practice in hardware stores of all kinds is becoming old, and women in trades and arts won't stand for it. I strongly suggest updating your practices before society forges ahead without the lot of you. Everyone deserves to be safe in whatever job they choose. And for goodness sake, don't make it all pink and twice the price. Safety is a right, not an accessory.”
“I went in for a box of shells [shotgun] for my dads birthday, along with some clay pigeons. The gentlemen I met was SUPER friendly, he helped when asked.
The ammo I needed wasn’t available upfront, but it WAS in the back... it took 45 mins to get it, however I was patient and reminded the guy that it happens. In the end they found a better deal for me in another case which saved me $. I was happy by the effort. Win for Canadian Tire Belleville ON.”
“The only place around I could find a decent mosquito net - staff helped me find it right away. It was very reasonably priced, decent quality and has saved me from being annihilated by the mosquitoes here in Whitehorse, Yukon. Definitely the best purchase I've made in a long while! Big thanks to the Canadian Tire staff :)”
“Went in to purchase my coupon to reduce the cost of the Ontario Pleasure Craft Operator Card.
It was a mater of just asking someone at the customer service desk for the coupon, which is then redeemed online to write the exam.”
