DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM NORTHAMPYOM CARSHOP The worst customer service experience I've ever had. I certainly will never deal with this company again. Purchased a 2014 cla180 with a "service light" they told me the service was done last week and turned the light off. The next day the light came back on, I rang promptly and asked if I could bring it in the same day. To be told I'd have to wait 2 weeks! Outside of their 14 day promise. I have spent hours on the phone and lost the car for 9 days in total. With around 6 trips back and forth to the garage prior to diagnosing the fault with the thermostat. The reason it took 9 days, was because I couldn't get anyone to approve the work or pay mercedes! Northampton never answer their phones and the staff are hopeless at responding to any form of communication. The car is now chipping and there's a knock on the rear. Carshop haven't responded to my emails so I've raised with the fiance company. I suppose its luck of the draw, but I won't believe a word any of the Northampton staff tell me. Bad experience and ever worse customer service. Nice as pie when selling you a car, but don't want to know you when there's a fault.

Cancelled service plan 2 months ago and still not had my money owing to me despite having made a call a month after first call and instead of returning the money took another payment out of my account so cancelled direct debit didn’t take long for you to send me a letter about that ! Tried phoning again but as usual no one answering. Heard so many bad things about car shop and their poor customer service finding that out the hard way.

Awful Experience Please please please do not buy your next car from these cowboys..!!! In brief, I purchased a 2017 Audi A4 from Carshop Nottingahm and the condition of the car on had over was horrific, Juddering clutch, broken turbo Air inlet pipe, and the interior was plastered in Vomit, yes Vomit..Civid-19 is amongst us and they cannot even clean the interior, but yet they are happy to take your money to spray it and protect the fabric, on top of Vomit is a great practice. On further inspection getting home with the car it had had a lot of paint work done on the front bumper, and done badly. I reported this imideatly and asked for my trade in back, to be told that the outstanding finance had been settled so no. After 4 days of Persistance over the phone, email and going back in to the store i finalaly called the finance company who stepped in, within 20 min I had a call from Carshop saying there has been some confusion over my traded in car, the out standing finance had NOT been settled..amazing..or just blatant lies, I now have my car back and will Not be going back there ever again and will share my experience with as many people as I can so know one else will have to go though a similar experience I have had to go through with this company.

Went to look at cars at Carshop Ashton under lyne first visit to look at options for which car to buy and enquire about possible finance options. Was given excellent service by Steve ie explained and answered all our questions and we sat if a few various cars on the forecourt. Although there wasnt a car on this occasion that suited us would definitely go back to get the excellent service from Steve informative and patient without being too pushy.

Don’t go to car shop to buy a car as they change there prices as often as I change my socks.I nearly bought a Audi Q3 from them registration ESZ9526 for £20,000 but decided it was a little too expensive for a 2015 car. But I have been looking and it still comes up as available but at a new price £20,500 and then went down to £20,300, and now increased to a massive £21,900 so over 3 months the price as increased by £2,000 so be careful as there is no haggling allowed but they can charge what they want total GREED.

Looking at the reviews, I'm not surprised I had a bad experience at carshop. Took my car in part exchange and tod I had 14days to change my mind. If somewhere advises that you have 14days, then I'd take that as I would be able to receive my part exchanged car back as part of refund. Other showrooms have told me that by law I have 30days now (not 14), but either way I tried to return their car less than 24hrs later, to be shot down. I have also been legally advised that if they haven't sold the part ex car, then reversing the deal should mean you are put in the same position as when you came in prior to exchange. NOT WITH CARSHOP!! 1 minute I'm told I can't get my car back, then told I could, then tag teamed to be told I can't again. Then I'm told its been reserved! Now it's been moved to Wakefield!! Then had to wait for my refund to be paid.....in part installments! I'm now back to looking for a new car. A journey I wish I never started with carshop! Thanks for the experience in being swindled! Some staff were kind of helpful, just not the ones I dealt with directly

Would have given a zero if possible booked a appointment to pick car up at 4.30 was in shop for 4.15 still in at 7.20 nothing sorted. Told car would be immaculate found dint in driver’s door (booked car from different show room) so didn’t mention any thing at time. Then after Being passed about and actually paying for car car told it was wrong log book to tax car so it is was my problem. Explained I’d paid for insurance to be swapped over with my trade in no reply. So i asked for a full refund and told 2/ 5 working days. Conclusion keep away

I picked up Audi A6 ultra to find in first day I had issues when braking, on paper work given and told to by carshop my car has had new discs and brakes! So after waiting hour on phone they hung up so then tried few times to finally get through but then told I have to wait three weeks with the date they give for car to be seen, which of cause I refused stated car is less than week old so they finally say car can go to independent garage Halfords in Kettering who call me after few hours of leaving car to say the car needs new disc and pads !! So clearly been sold a car from carshop with the paper works saying they done disc and pads but clearly did not do now I will have to get car fully checked by independent garage and trading standards are being involved.

Thanks to Richard and team at Warrington for their honesty and professionalism in completing my recent car purchase. I bought a Mini Cooper 7 online without viewing it as I live 150 miles away.I have several years of experience in a car paint shop and would never normally buy this way. I viewed a detailed video and paid for car. When the car was delivered it was as described and I was more than satisfied. The whole experience was different and not without worry, out of my comfort zone, but all went really well. Thanks again

Hope you can, I think for the interest of carshops future I think this needs to be addressed at the highest level, I placed a holding fee on a car sq5 in Doncaster, After being seen to by a salesman jay I was told after he had sorted a deal out to wait wilst he went to see his boss, some 30 minutes went by and me and my wife was joined by a salesman called Sid, after some 30 minutes we decided to look at the car, we just happen to look on your site at another sq5 in Bristol We asked if this could be brought to Doncaster when he said it will be £50 Transfer fee, we said but on the website it's free, his attitude was it is was it is, Apparently he was spoken to after I had called the manger adheel, who I may add was very very helpful, We decided to buy one in the Sheffield branch, we paid a holding fee for a blue sq5, we had arranged a viewing and after a few days we was called to say it's not for sale, Curtis at Sheffield had told us that a lot of the staff including himself fancied the car, I said to him you haven't bought it I hope, he said no, I do find it really odd, however we had told of our experience at Doncaster and asked if we could have the one from Bristol brought up, they said they would waver the transfer fee, which was very nice, The car came and we loved the car, we sorted all the £7000 cash deposit and the finanace was all sorted, we noticed that a tyre was really low and asked if this would be changed for a new one, M•••••• the salesman said it is what it is, we don't work like that you buy as seen, his whole attitude changed dramatically, we was so shocked, we even took our 19year old grandson for a little buying experience, he too was amazed, C••••• called us later that afternoon to say that M•••••was giving us until 11am the next day to make our mind up, then it would be back on sale, and we are now still awaiting our holding fees, please can you look at this as it's really bad for the future of CARSHOP, Kind regards, Chris davies

My experience with CarShop began with an online form resulting in an employee called Dylan Thomas calling me repeatedly; certainly relatively pressured and less than pleasant. Despite this, there were some cars in stock which I liked and so decided to attend the showroom. I was handed over to a 'Business Manager' called Alexander Collins. Having requested to buy the car via PCP, Alex proceeded to comment on my income in front of my relative, information I don't want anyone knowing but trusted that a senior employee at CarShop would be professional enough not to divulge, especially not in the blaise manner of 'Oh, you're doing well for yourself' Having found an acceptance for a PCP, I asked Alex what the total cost of the finance would be in the event I settled it in December, and that I would be happy with anything less than £1-2K in total interest paid. A prompt reply came in the form of 'Around the £1000 mark'; having asked the finance broker themselves, they informed me that such a calculation isn't possible as the lender will allocate payments to the interest and principle at their discretion. It is thus my opinion that Alex quite simply lied about the level of finance cost, which is in and of itself, fraud. From there, Alex proceeded to add on the Warranty (which costs double the warranty of other providers), and paint protection- both of which I wanted on a different car, not the one I was at this stage proceeding with. Alex seemed to adopt the strategy of pretending to be Forrest Gump and not understanding my very basic request to remove these two items from the purchase price. I received several perfunctory email replies, including 'yes, I can confirm that these are on the order' and 'no, we cannot discount the vehicle', not to mention several ignored emails. At this point, having become utterly fed up of being lied to, I told Alex that if he did not remove these items from the purchase by the close of business, I would cancel my order. Alex did not reply, and so I cancelled my order the next day. Alex claimed that he left the office early, and that he was now all of a sudden happy to take them off of the order. As if this wasn't laughable and dishonest enough, I sent the aforementioned email at 12:22- I suppose it must have been a very short day for him not to have seen it. From here, I have to say that a different colleague, Richard Geen, was helpful and assisted me in recovering my deposit immediately. In brief, I was lied to several times and received some of the most embarrassingly rude service imaginable, from someone whom CarShop has promoted. There are positive reviews written here- most of which with very similar verbatim and writing styles; draw whichever inferences you wish.

Well, it started off ok. Nice car, nice spec, paid the 99 to hold, and they kindly agreed to move it, from Warrington to Doncaster. First slight issue, they had put the wrong description on the vehicle. Fair enough, easy done, they have a lot of vehicles just a mistake. After that, i tried a few times to find out a bit more about the vehicle, before I arrived, because I would be pushed for time while there. So you can call several times, you will get someone in an office who will tell you that they are in an office. But they will email somebody. They will happily say anything happily to get you off the phone. No one gets back to you. So you turn up on the day. On time. The car has arrived a bit early so been with them for five days or six days. Someone called to tell me it was there but took umbrage that I couldn't get there any sooner. It was a near six hour journey for me, with family. So I look at the car, and it's dirty. Grubby. It was in a line of gleaming vehicles, they couldn't be bothered washing it. The guy who comes to deal with me, keeps telling me that he knows nothing about me or the vehicle, the guy dealing is off on holiday. Next low point. When it says in the advert service history - present. That doesn't mean it is actually there. He doesn't know where it is. He goes to find out. By wandering round in circles hoping that something easier is needing dealt with. And thats when you realise. You look around, and it's like something out of dawn of the dead, hordes of gormless zombies, wandering around smiling and asking if you are being seen to, hoping that they don't actually get asked anything, because then they will leave you waiting while they ask someone else. So wandering chap comes back and suggests quite helpfully, that if the car has come from Warrington, perhaps I, the customer, should call the Warrington branch and ask where it is. You see, it's very much a case of you get what you pay for. These places are cheap for a reason. Behind all the smiley smiley, happy pictures, shiny cars, they want you to turn up, hand over your money, and f off. Someone else helpfully gets involved, comes across with a bit of paper with scribbles on it that is the service history, apparently. They can't understand it themselves to explain it and go off to ask someone else. There is also only one key, no one knows where the other one is. Sad thing is I think it was a good car. Just no service history present and only one key. And no one cares enough to deal with these things before you get there. Or to answer any of these questions before you get there. A waste of time. I got the £99 back and bought a car from a proper place.
