Never listen, threatening letters all the time, they actually owed us money, happy to leave them

How can this company operate so unlawfully? OFWAT need to address this company fast as they are profiteering illegally at the customers expense. Nobody has anything positive to say about them and most Trust Pilot reviews are insiders.

They changed my water supply from Thames water to castle water without noticing me. I was a student at that time, but they set me in a business account, charge me 300pound a month. When I send them all the documents that prove I do not own a business at that property, and do not live at the place anymore. They just ignored my email, and keep sending me bills. They are purely bullys.

I agree with every review, they are not even worth a one star , we have a little family garage business on a small trading estate, out of the other 10 businesses on the estate no one has received a water bill , we have an outside porta loo , and an outside tap we use to fill the kettle and wash our hands , and today received a bill for £10259.00 !

CASTLE WATER IS THE MOST CROCK company in the UK Terrible service ,no respect,, waste your time, and do whatever it takes to add unnecessary charges on your bill such as DEBIT RECOVERY CHARGES £329 AND LATE PATMENT CHARGES £55 for what ?????? Speaking to customer services is pointless, and next call they deny that they already spoke with you before, they give you false information to get you to pay recovery charges. Huge mistake switching to their company £1800 is my bill which is 85% overcharges for a small retail shop that has a toilet only.”

Failed to read meter for years, then attempted to charge for taking a meter reading before realising that a reading had actually been taken. Interest and debt collection charges are certainly a good way of losing customers in a competitive market: I'll be sure to close the account in the coming month. Their website states "The Best Water Suppliers [sic] for Business Owners" - no source provided, and no means of proving this outrageous claim. Unethical. Avoid at all costs.

I have been reading all the reviews below and it sums up what I am currently experiencing with them. I would like to complain formally to cow council and wondered if any of you that have complaint would like to join me? Ok so we have experienced harassment and intimidation from Castle Water . It would seem they believe they are above Laws in England , Has anyone received support from Trading standards or the Police to investigate this company for trying to Obtain monies without receiving services

Castle water did not read the meter for 2 years, even after being asked to. After months of not being able to locate it, even though they told me where to find it a read it myself. Sent a bill to me for clearing it even though not on my land, and it had already been cleared and photos sent to them. They did not even do any work clearing, I disputed the charge and put account on hold, then charged me for not paying the bill. They are a fraudulent company!.

I’ve been tangled in unjust water charges that I have received from Castle Water for the past two years. Despite repeated explanations provided to Castle Water, the issue of overcharging for water usage on my property has not been resolved. I have clearly stated that my property is stripped back and has no water usage, as there are no pipes on the premises. My property has been disconnected from the mains water since 2021. Castle Water has carried on charging me for water that I am not using, as I share my water supply with neighbouring properties. I have made numerous attempts to rectify this issue by providing evidence of the lack of water usage on my property but to no avail. It is unacceptable for Castle Water to continue charging me for services I do not benefit from. I have repeatedly requested that Castle Water thoroughly investigate this issue and adjust my billing accordingly. I am afraid in 2 years, Castle Water has not taken any of my emails, complaints or phone calls seriously. Castle water’s tactic is continued disregard of facts & wearing the person out so that one gives up & pays.

They continue to issue a bill, don't inform me that they have issued it and then pursue me for late payment (even after I have paid}!Ive blocked the automatic voice calls because they are so stressful. It is tantamount to harrassment! i cancelled my DD to them because I just dont trust them. They have so many departments and seem very inefficent but it is always the customer that foots the bill! I stopped them sending me paper bills because they either didnt arrive at all or they would arrive at same time as the threatening, bullying letters. Soul less company operating in the rarified atmosphere of what should be a public utility.

Castle Water change bills from 6 monthly to monthly without your permission. They then send bills with penalties even after you have paid for your water. So a £26 bill escalates to several hundred pounds and the scam continues. In our area Castle Water has bullied many customers,including people with poor English,cutting them off. Utilitity companies inform you of a change in contract etc and give you a choice but NOT Castle Water. We never agreed to use Castle Water and it won’t allow you to move to another company whilst their fictitious penalties are in place. The Water Council seem to have a long backlog of complaints against Castle Water so don’t bring them to task!

this company is completely based on scamming people and charging then extra on their bills this company should be banned for scamming so many people they gave me bill of £935 for not even using water and then send me £140 for late payment after I paid them £935 be careful and change it to different supplier as soon as possible ass I am going to do now

Deliberately unresponsive. Holding a credit of £600 & have not refunded it for 3 months now. The complaints handler just does not communicate. Telephone calls are answered but lead to no resolution.

Use "ESCALATE THIS COMPLAINT" it seems to make them pay attention. Tell them you will take it to the consumer council for water I moved into a business premises that had no water. Two years later Castle water send me a bill and demand immediate payment. It turns out that it was disconnected before I moved in but they still demand payment and instigate court action. Horrible experience. Don't give up. Don't take it personally - maybe soon we will re nationalize our water

i am on 6 monthly billing after castle water put me on monthly, it was changed back after having to pay £780 and a disconnection guy at my pub its totally disgraceful. now even those it was changed back to 6 monthly i keep getting a 3 month bill and just recently a 1 month bill which is higher than the 3 month bill. but yet it has £92 worth of charges for what its a total disgrace and it all about ripping off commercial water users. i am taking it further as this is not right in this climate and my MP is taking on the case and he will go public to name and shame castle water. not only that you get letters emailed and you cant even read them as they are in the wrong format

For over a year I have been asked to read my meter that I have no idea at all where it is. I have had back surgery and told them months upon months ago that I was unable to locate and read it. Eventually they sent an engineer to read it. He apparently said that 'he was unable to read it as there was a lot of leaves in the area'. I then said that I would meet the engineer and would try my best post Operation to move the leaves out of the way. No reply to that. Just continue to request a Meter reading to be submitted. I am nearly 70 years old and still in recovery from Op but they don't seem to care and just continue to send emails which really worries me as there doesn't appear to be an Ombusman to ask for help. Now I have received a letter through the post, by email, and on the Portal telling me that I haven't paid my last Bill. This was paid on receipt and on time on the 17th May as usual through BACS. I called them. I must admit that the gentleman I spoke to was very nice but said that there was no record of the payment and requested I send proof of the transaction. I was unable to do a screen shot on my phone and ended up asking someone else to do for me and they couldn't either. Took a photo of the transaction and have just sent it and am now really worried having read these reviews. If they handle this in the same manner as they have with the meter reading then I could have my credit rating trashed by them through no fault of my own.....
