It was a little weird having contractors back out of the job here and there throughout the day and have new ones assigned with no warning from the company, BUT the guy that did finally come removed a 3 piece sectional and an arm chair in 15 minutes all by himself. Once someone actually shows up, the service is 10/10.

There was a scheduling conflict that kind of ruined my whole day. I was scheduled for pick up from 12-4pm but got a call at 8am that they were 30 min away. Over an hour later they still hadn’t shown up. Called and they said they would be another 1.5 hours. I had other appointments scheduled during that time that I had to cancel because I was afraid of missing them. If they had arrived when it was actually scheduled it would have been 5 stars. When they finally got there it was an easy, quick process. Just with the scheduling had been better and I didn’t have to wait around for half my morning and miss other scheduled appointments to meet them.

I had Couch Disposal Plus come pick up my couch last week. I selected the 8:00am-8:00pm time window, because my day was fairly flexible. I was called at 2:45, and told that they would be arriving in an hour to an hour and a half. They did not arrive until well past 9:00pm. Again, this didn't really matter to me, because I placed my couch outside and did not have to be available for the pickup. However if I had had a less flexible schedule, I would have been very annoyed by the lateness of their arrival, coupled with the earlier messaging that they would be there at 4-4:30. They did get rid of the couch quickly which I appreciate.

They were pleasant to talk to for making the appointment. The guys who came were fast and efficient and also pleasant. But don't believe their claim that the price you see online is the final price. The online price when I scheduled was $97. When I called, I was told it was going to be $40 more because "a recliner sofa is big and heavy." Then I was told that it would be another $30 if the workers had to remove the backs off the sofa, which I wouldn't know until they got there. Fortunately, they didn't have to do that. Total cost was guaranteed $97, turned out to be $137, could have been $167.

The subcontractor who actually picked up the couch was fantastic, perfect. The actual management messed up the date of pickup, cancelling the order on the morning of the pickup accidentally, requiring the subcontractor and I to make arrangements to get the job done ourselves in light of the bureaucratic mistakes of the management.

The two men that showed up were about to give up after only two tries. When the one gentleman called the company, they didn’t answer right away. It actually took 5 calls for the company to actually answer the phone. The young lady that answered didn’t seem to care the men were having trouble getting the furniture out the house. Because we had paid our money up front already, I made the men try again. Funny what a tilt of furniture can do. I was disappointed that no one reached out to us about the concern at that moment. They told the gentleman they were in a meeting

Kinda a rip-off! You pay them to come and pick up your furniture, then they turn around and sell the parts for a profit.

Dear Couch Disposal Plus, I'm writing to let you guys know about my pretty keen displeasure in the logistics of how my couch removal went yesterday afternoon. I scheduled my haul-away service for 8 a.m. to noon because I was having the new couch arrive between 12:30 and 3:30 p.m. yesterday, and my living room is too small to accommodate two couches at once. Imagine my dismay when I get a phone call yesterday at 8:45 a.m. telling me that my new haul-away window was noon to 4 p.m. When I told the woman with whom I was speaking on the phone that the new time really inconvenienced me, she told me that service times weren't guaranteed. As per your own policy as described in the order confirmation e-mail below: "We do our absolute best to accommodate all time-frames selected. However, due to unforeseen circumstances (i.e. weather, routing distance, truck issues, etc...), the time frame could be altered. We will contact you the day prior if that is to happen." The woman on the phone also told me she'd call back with an update. That never happened. I called back three hours later and spoke with another woman (who was a little more sympathetic to my issue). She told me that my new service window was 2 to 2:30 p.m. That didn't happen. At 3:20 p.m., I got a follow-up call from the second woman letting me know they were actually going to arrive at 4:15. Once the haul-away guys actually got here, they were great. They were fast, friendly, and they even helped us move the new couch into position (we'd had it shoved out of the way to give them a path out of the unit for the old one). Also, I get that things happen unexpectedly. But if the cause of a service delay is how many stops there are, or where they're located, that's something you're going to know enough ahead of time to give customers a heads-up before their delivery window (as per your policy).

Hauler appeared six hours after scheduled block of time was over, after our new couch was delivered. The system had clearly scheduled too many jobs for the hauler to handle them all on time.

We did have a problem in communication with the supplier. No time frame call the night before per your site. Only an email saying pick-up between 8 am and 12. When it got late in am, tried to make phone contact as we had plans after 12, but could not reach anyone. At about 12:30 pm, on our way out of the house, finally reached someone by phone, who advised crew on way. They arrived shortly after and did an excellent job, but we missed our appointment.

We appreciated the clear communication and friendly demeanor of the folks who helped us. They worked quickly, which was also nice. Unfortunately, they badly damaged our apartment door frame when removing the furniture. We are likely to owe our apartment complex for the damage. We are very disappointed that an otherwise great experience was undermined by some carelessness.

Two hours after their pickup window ended I called them to find out they were running late and couldn't get to me that day. A phone call in advance would have been greatly appreciated. They promptly rescheduled and I received communication throughout the day regarding their anticipated arrival. They still showed up a couple of hours after the pick-up window ended, which was nearly four hours after the anticipated arrival time. The crew was incredibly nice, but you could tell they were run ragged. Dispatch clearly has them stretched too thin.

Once the haulers arrived, they were courteous and worked quickly. They also took great care not to do any damage while moving the sofas out. However, they did not arrive on the day scheduled. Because they were a day late, they arrived after the new furniture had arrived and the installers for the new furniture had to work around them.
