I ordered a Samsung Galaxy S8, at probably the lowest UK price available, on Thursday and it was delivered via DPD on the Monday. Just two working days after. So full marks for speedy delivery. Their e-mail messaging service is very good too as they are prompt in replying to queries.

At no point in time on the Debenhams website are you made clearly aware that Debenhams Plus is a different entity to Debenhams. Therefore you cannot return items to Debenhams stores. You have to ASK permission for a return and then you have to pay for the returns postage yourself.

Poor customer service experience. We purchased a microwave from Debenhams Plus which turned out to be the incorrect size. Debenhams wanted a 25% restock fee and customer also pays the returns post charges. There is no local drop off point for returns. After they take the restock fee and delivery charges Debenhams Plus would issue us with a voucher which would be less than the value needed to purchase the replacement microwave. In the end we decided to resell the microwave at a loss but meant we could take our business elsewhere. Bit of a learning experience but proves that price isn't everything and always a good idea to read over terms and conditions before purchasing anything. We thought that we were purchasing from Debenhams but the microwave was delivered by Hotpoint and when we contacted Debenhams to return it we were then transferred to Appliances Direct. The whole operation is a bit unclear to us and we will never purchase from any of these companies again. Stick to companies which offer local drop off services like Curry's and John Lewis. They also offer 30day returns policy on purchases.

I placed an order using my debit card. The order was for a laptop for my business. They invoiced me personally and would not change the invoice to that of my business. This meant that I was unable to reclaim the VAT element. Poor show!

I purchased a Samsung Note 8 at £69 lower than available on the high street or reputable dealers online. I chose next day delivery for an extra £5 but as that was a Sunday I new it would be a Monday delivery. I trust Debenhams but thought I would do a search on Debenhams Plus rating. I was worried by all the bad comments and worried I had made a mistake and thought I should cancel my order. At their opening time on Sunday I called and was careful to choose the options to get through to the correct department. I got through first time to a very helpful lady who reassured me Debenhams Plus was associated with Debenhams and was surprised I had reservations. I decided not to cancel. Sunday evening I received a confirmation the parcel was dispatched and would arrive next day at about 11:00. Monday I received notification it would arrive between 11:28 and 12:28. It arrived at 11:32 by DPD. The mobile phone was sealed as new from Samsung. Very pleased with the efficiency and low price and I cannot understand why Debenhams Plus star rating is so low. Very pleased with service, price, delivery and the product was as described.

Not a complaint more general observation. Went into Foreign Exchange in Exeter to purchase Thai Baht as easily the best rate. Only wanted £500 worth, told by the 3 members of staff sat with no customers can only purchase Dollars or Euros. Seems everything else has to be ordered and picked up 5 Days later ! Went to Marks and Spencer’s lower rate but told over 40 different Currencies in Stock. Need to provide a better and wider service Debenhams.

selling dangerous goods. Having purchased a picture from Debenhams it fell and broke within a few minutes of being hung on the wall. One of the mounts have broken under the weight of the picture. Luckily it missed my granddaughter. My wife has just spent around an hour on the phone trying to resolve the issue and I cannot believe how inept their staff are when it comes to customer service. Will never buy from them again. If you have shares in Debenhams I suggest you sell them as a business with this level of customer service will not be around for much longer. Does any business have a Trust Pilot score worse than Debenhams?

I bought a new TV from them in July, 4 weeks ago it stopped working the sound, I reported this to them after many attempts to do so I finally got through, all it needed was a new remote but the date now is 2/10/2017 and I still haven't got it but I'm going to have my satisfaction because I am off to the Sheriffs Court today to sue them for the money to replace the TV plus compensation for the distress caused. They're not gonna like this but they can just lump it.

DPD courier said they had attempted to deliver and no one in. There is no way they delivered or attempted to deliver to my address. I even got the mail saying they left a calling card whilst I was sat waiting with a view of the front of my house, There was no calling card. I have contacted depot who said they cant reach the driver but have given him my number and will ask him to come back and deliver. No contact or sign several hours later

Ordered TV then cancelled within 10 mins to be told it had been dispatched. after numerous phone calls to customer services they advised me the Order had been cancelled only to receive phone calls and emails asking me when they could deliver. Phoned today to chase up my refund, spoke to Ashley, to be told It had been refunded today without asking my name, address or Order Number. Phoned again and told they had refunded on the 29th August but the Bank has advised me this is not the case. Stay well away from this Company they are a nightmare. I am fortunate I paid with my Credit Card and they will deal with it for me.

I ordered a chrome book from Debenhams Plus. It arrived promptly but was not the product described on the website and was not the product described in the delivery notification email. It was an inferior product. After great difficulty, time and expense, I finally reached Customer Services. Their response was that this isn't their problem if the product doesn't match the website description as the manufacturer must have given them the wrong information. They are very busy people and do I understand how many products they sell? My understanding is that the seller actually is responsible for providing what they have agreed to sell and for ensuring that their advertising is accurate. I certainly don't rate this company - who seem to be sullying rather representing Debenhams name. And I certainly don't recommend their customer services training provider, who seems to have trained their representatives to take a rather defensive/aggressive approach. They did offer me a small discount in the end.

I ordered a TV on Debenhams online which said it was in stock. The website stated delivery would be 2-3 working days. 4 days later I get an email from Debenhams saying they cannot deliver for another 10days. When I spoke to their customer services they said the item was not currently in stock. I had to get a refund. Totally misleading and inaccurate information on website. Poor customer service. Would never use Debenhams again.

I ordered on 14/08/17 at 12:32pm, i called on 15/08/17 at 12:27 to cancel the order and you advised me i couldn't cancel even though the order had NOT yet been dispatched, on 16/08/17 at 14:12 then dispatched the order. VERY POOR SERVICE RECEIVED! I will never buy or recommend you to any of my family and friends.

I ordered a freezer 4 days ago Tuesday)to be delivered Thursday it's now Friday customer care team said everyday it was to be delivered . Now 1900 hours Friday . I've waited in for 2 days. Appalling service. Sent emails with no response . Unfortunately they use the name Debenhams given them a bad name .

I ordered a Lenovo laptop, when it arrived it would not load up. I spoke to Lenovo who went through checks with me, it turned out the laptop had no hard drive! I rang Debenhams and was cut off twice 4 minutes into the call. I then emailed them and have been told it could be 28 days before I get a refund, that is if they accept it is faulty! Disgraceful! Avoid them like the plague!

Ordered a robust Cat B25 phone, after a few days it wasn't holding the charge, I contacted them and was advised to try different charger which i did, a few chargers + and in car charger, I emailed them and was told to return it which i did, got phone call to say charger port was damaged, this wasn't under guarantee they would return it with photo evidence, got phone back no report or photos or anything. So now I'm left with a phone a few weeks old which is useless, I paid £10 for next day delivery and then had to pay postage again to return it. --POOR SERVICE

Purchased a item in the sale was chatting to the cashier unfortunately didn't realise i was charged the full price for the item. Was in a rush so didn't realise until I received my bank statement. On contacting them was told that even with the receipt and item number they couldn't tell if it was ever in a sale. Maybe my fault that I should of checked at the time of purchase. But cannot believe they can't trace the product ever being in a sale. I will be contacting trading standards. And will never shop in there again.
