It took nearly an hour in store to order an exercise bike as the screen did not work properly. It took 2 trips to the cash desk and 2 different in store personnel. Then, when ordered there was a problem with the delivery that meant we were not kept informed on when it would arrive. I phoned to find the store could not help me and was given another number. That number meant I had to leave a message, then no-one returned my call. Customer service was very poor - but the bike works!

Free delivery over a set amount of purchase would encourage ME yo use you more

The delivery date given was not met and was in fact 3 working days late and 5 in total. The bike however was as it appeared and I am very happy with it. I would recommend that if you do want a bike from them then to if possible pick it up from in store. Their in store staff are not the best trained either. I would still use them again but would ensure that I research the item before going to the store and being looked at like I'd asked them to stop a speeding train.

The ordering system is a bit old-fashioned, final order confirmations coming hours after the orders are placed online. As well as this, I had to wait quite a long time for my goods to arrive the second time I placed an order. There is no question that great value and high quality goods are provided and I will be ordering again.

I was happy with the goods when I finally collected them but I think your on-line buying facility and delivery need to improve to keep up with consumer expectations. I found your website quite confusing and believe me I buy a lot of things on line. I wanted the goods delivered to work but after being allowed to enter the invoice and delivery address, I was told to select the store I wanted to collect from. Later on I found out that only orders over a certain amount qualify for home delivery, but this wasn't made clear from the start. The website was very slow at that time (I tried IE 11 and Google Chrome) and the store selection didn't seem to work at first, so it took me a few attempts to do it. I placed the order early in the week (Mon or Tue) and was sent an email that the estimated collection date was Friday of that week, which I thought was a bit long since this was a delivery to your own store and companies like Next and John Lewis can do next day delivery to their stores. I was about to set out to the store on Friday to collect my goods but luckily I thought of phoning the store first. They didn't have my order or any record of it. So I phoned customer services and was told that my order was still being processed and will be shipped to the store in a few days time. The goods were finally shipped and I received an email telling me that my order was ready for collection but as I said before, for a delivery to your own store it took an awfully long time. I believe you have experienced an IT problem called "parameters", depending on the sizes of the order, fixable straight away calling our Customer Loyalty team. Everything arrived quickly but it was difficult to place the order as the on line system was not offering a home delivery option and I had to call Customer service a couple of times so they could unlock the home delivery option for me. The overall ordering process was too tedious and I strongly suggest you improve your on-line ordering process. Kind regards Roberta Baldo

The delivery took nearly 3 weeks and when the clothes arrived some things fit and others didn't even though they were all the same size and brand

Hi not been buying from you guys for long. I stumbled on your site by accident and ever since have bought a couple of items from you mostly on line. My problem is deliveries take too long through processing to delivery and sometimes it does not help if you need something urgent. Also I requested for a membership card and any time a go to the shop and ask for it as you do not post it, I am told stories like 'our printer to print it is not working' or 'the person to deal with it is not available'. Have no complain about the quality but sometimes the sizes are a squeeze and one will have to buy a size or size and half bigger.

TO START WITH I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THE SWIM SHOES IN THE WATER THEY ARE VERY GOOD AND ON DRY SIDE, BUT IF THE POOL SIDE IS WET THEY SLIP.

I ordered an all in one swimming costume and the quality and price of that is really good, but it was the overall delivery and collection service that I found appalling. I received an e-mail to inform me when it was in store, so I went on this day and I was stood there for ages whilst they were rummaging through piles of deliveries and bags and they kept stating that it wasn't there, (they kept looking at me in a manner like what do you want me to do about it its not here). This went on several times with different people looking and I was getting quite frustrated by this time. Eventually this girl found it and passed it to me saying its here, you can go straight out now you've got it. I can certainly tell you it has put me off buying anything else from your store.

The Braehead store (nr Glasgow) is an absolute riot. Staff are under trained and have no idea what they're doing. The outside of the store is a mess (ripped tents blowing in the wind) and the availability of stock in the store is haphazard at best. I do not often use Decathlon but after my recent experiences I will be using them even less.

Found the whole process very poor. The address checker didn't work on my tablet so had to fill out my details again on my laptop. My order took an age to turn up because of a system issue. I got an email about the system after I expected to have had my order Sorry IJust wouldnt use again.

With a tablet or smartphone we advise customers to use our online app as some smartphones and tablets are not compatible with the online browser. In regards to the date of delivery we apologise for the delay I can see that your order was dispatched on the 05/02 and out for delivery with Royal Mail on 06/02, which was a day delay as an item was being shipped from outside of the UK due to stock transfer. Ordered something online and then needed to change the pick up place. After terrible difficulty finding a contact number, and an inordinate delay in replying to my message AND email they said it was too late to change anything at all. It all just seemed like too much trouble to be honest.....very disappointing as the in store people, particularly in Southampton, are generally VERY helpful. The products are good but I just wouldn't expect anything above and beyond a very average service. Fine if your requirements are straightforward.

This is the first time I have used decathlon for purchasing sports products. I will never use decathlon again, and I will continue to advise my many friends within the running and triathlon circle not to use decathlon. I returned an Item for exchange to have the same item sent back to me. I then had to use my own money to return the product t which cost me £5 I eventually decided to get a refund and take my business elsewhere. In the parcel I returned the receipt for my recorded delivery and proof of delivery. Only to be told paperwork is not kept and I will not be receiving a refund. I could not speak to any customer service representatives and could not make a formal complaint as all correspondence is by email. Shocking customer service all round! I received an email to advise that decathlon had called me, but no one had even left a voicemail to let me know this.

I ordered a coat online for my little boy. The size said 12 months, which would of fit my son but when it arrived it was a 9-12 month and to small. Shame the sizing is incorrect as the coat was a lovely one.

Easy to order. Was due into store for collection on the Wednesday, I called on the Thursday and Friday as there was no sign of the parcel and was told I would receive an email when it was in the store. I didn't receive anything and eventually collected it the following Friday.

Order was not delivered on date specified (ordered a week prior to travelling near store, and delivery was stated as being on the day I wanted). I received confirmation of actual delivery 3 days after was due and therefore was not able to collect. However, in contacting them to say I would not be able to pick up, they were helpful in arranging the return of the items and the credit to my card.
