The items I ordered were sent in the wrong size. I then called the shop who said they'd order the correct sized items in as they didn't store them in stock. I then chased a week later to be told they had never been ordered!! I then had to take a trip upto your Thurrock dept. and get different items

I was let down on one order that was of great importance. They let me place my order and believe that it was boing out together, I completed at the checkout, then get a phone all a couple of days later to say that they are sorry they don't have the item I purchased! Their solution was an apology and a £5 voucher. The correct course of action would be to ensure that you don't sell items online, which you don't actually have! I've made numerous purchases in store over the past 3/4 years and have always been happy with my Rowing Machine, Exercise bike, running gear, badminton related goods, cycling equipment. I will shop in store in future as I will be able to see the item I want to buy, rather than be sold an item that they don't actually have.

Although we try and ensure that our stock levels are correct sometimes orders can go through when the stock is missing. Second time ordering online. From submitting order to it being in store for collection took 9 days which in my opinion is very slow. Despite all items being "in stock" when ordering, I later received an email stating one of the items was unavailable and to go go online to amend my order. I tried this but the website wouldnt allow me to amend the order. Once the remaining items were ready to collect, the member of staff at the store only gave me one small parcel. I asked if this was all as I had ordered a set of football goals. She said that it was everything and the rest would be in separate order. I then pointed out that the parcel she gave me had parcel 2/2 on it. I had to ask her to go and look again, which she did, looking at the small soft parcels first. I then asked her to look at the boxes as a set of goalposts are likely to be larger and heavier than the smaller parcels. I am now reluctant to order from Dacathlon online as it is slow and didt provide me with what I was after. My experience with Sport Direct is far better, both for home deliveries and collect in store.

Thank you for contacting us. We are sorry that you experienced problems with your order. Many of our items come from warehouses in France which is why delivery times can be longer but the estimated delivery date reflects this. Although we try and keep our stock levels accurate the system can take time to update after an order is placed. We try and notify all customers as soon as the problem is noticed and give options to make changes or be refunded. The email sent specifies you must contact customer service to do this therefore you were refunded as we did not receive any contact. I purchased 8 tents costing £438. Before purchasing I contacted the lakeside store seeking a possible discount as they were for a scouts group. My first email was ignored. I sent a second and was told no discount. 4 weeks later, after purchase online I received a further email from lakeside offering a 10% discount on the purchase. But too late as already purchased. Not happy!!!

Having purchased goods from Decathlon, One of the items broke. I contacted Decathlon to arrange for a spare part to be sent to me. I got a very amateur phone call suggesting I contact a branch in Surrey Quays which is 250 miles from where I live. The person was unhelpful and ill informed.

Picked up item (2 man tent) from collection desk, then got stopped by security on the way out accusing me of shoplifting it. Who shoplifts a tent?!

I placed an order, one of the items sent to me was completely wrong, couldn't get through on the customer service line, emailed, got a response but then could by generate a returns form, again I couldn't call. I enclosed a full explanation within my parcel, then got an email telling me my refund couldn't be processed!! The only helpful person in this whole process was the person who sorted my refund. Will not be ordering online from you again.

Went to Lakeside and Surrey Keys store to try on the item to make sure it fitted, but NO SHOOTING VESTS OR GILLETS in store at all. One or two for fishing but NOTHING for shooting.

Although the delivery was nuxh faster than advised- I was sent the wrong item! When railing regarding this I was told I couldn't ask for a replacement until they had received my order back. I eventually did receive a full refund

The flip flops I ordered were slightly damaged as about 5 pimples on one flip flop were pressed down so they were pressed slightly in the box and did not stand up which was not as expected. I decided not to send back as would take to long for a replacement pair to arrive but I was disappointed with the condition of one when arrived.

Requested size 7 but received size 7.5 and later advised no size 7 in stock. couldn't be bothered with hassle of returning so now have pair of trainers too big sitting idle in the cupboard

I tried to order a sports bra but the usual brand I like was out of stock and I was given the option of receiving an email when they had more stock in. I selected this but several months on and there are still none available. I ordered an alternative and selected the colour white. The bra was a pale BLUE - definitely not white!! Couldn't be bothered to send it back in the end. Disappointed :(

Loved the style of jacket and the click and collect was fast and easy but there must be mass disorganisation at the warehouse because my 3 in 1 jacket was delivered to store with only one part of the jacket. Annoyingly by the time I had picked the jacket up it was out of stock for reorder so the only thing the sales assistant could do was refund my money. very disappointing and annoying.

My first time using your online ordering system was a disaster firstly one of w items we ordered we received a message to say out of stock we ordered an alternative with a different ref to be told it was the same item but that the ref number was the same! This one item delayed our whole order also when I came to your store to collect the other items the item i couldnt get was on your shelfs .

You get an unhelpful person who had no more authority or common sense than a robot if you try to resolve an issue by e-mail/online. On the phone, it's a whole different thing: much more is possible, and they are friendly and helpful, but I can't see what that same service can't be offered online or by e-mail as well!

Sadly, having moved to the Channel Islands, I find that Decathlon is unable to even accept an address over here. After complaining, individual staff very kindly arranged to mail my order on an individual basis but I don't expect this can be done routinely. What a shame as the wetsuit and fins they sent are excellent quality and value as usual.

I ordered swim noodles and they arrived fine but there was no option to order the colour of your choice. When I emailed customer service to ask if this was possible as I had wanted I was told "The Swimming Float Noodles do not have an option to select a colour as in our warehouse they are picked at random and the colour picked would depend on the availability, unfortunately we can not influence which is picked.". This should be something in the future to add to your website. If I had gone into your store I would have been able to pick the colour of my choice.

The football boots I ordered arrived in the wrong size. I turns out they donlt even sell my seize, even though they were advertised, and I was able to order them.
