3 weeks later im still waiting for £250 worth of fishing bait, french fishing trip next week, if they let me down im gunna go mad at them and plaster it everywhere how bad they are!!!

DO NOT BY A BIKE. Ordered a bike. It was not serviced as it was promised so when I went on a bike ride the gears didnt work and the seat shifted so i fell off right in front of a moving car. I had a swollen leg and couldn't walk. The whole thing scared my 6 year old badly.

Two folding bikes collected from Nottingham. One had under inflated tyres, and a badly scratched seat post, no brake cable end protectors and one cable had a frayed and damaged end. Both bikes had misaligned steering, incorrect brake cable routing, not fitted correctly into the guides welded to the frame, one of which caught on the folding mechanism, and would at some stage get trapped and rendered useless and dangerous. Both had an incorrectly fitted brake pad touching the rear tyre. Very poor preparation. Whilst the assistant did a reasonable job, his product knowledge was poor, enthusiastically telling us the frames were aluminium, when clearly they are steel. (as their own website states) Aluminium would be far to weak to work on such a design and this misinformation could put anyone with the slightest knowledge off purchasing the bike. The website showed three bikes in stock, only two were actually at the store, so we had to take the demonstrator, which presumably explains the scratches, though I fail to understand what sort of abuse would cause such damage, also it showed two carry bags in stock which we also wanted, these too were not in stock, and in fact not a product even recognised by your staff. I was told several days after sending my review to Decathlon, that it had been published on their website. It has not been. A further e-mail to Decathlon requesting a response to my comments has been ignored, as has my suggestion to them that they would not post my review because it is too damning. A simple apology and offer to rectify the problem would have been fine, things do go wrong occasionally, but completely ignoring the whole matter is a very poor reflection on the company. Clearly they are too big to be bothered. Wonder what their reaction would have been had I not spotted the faults and an accident or injury had resulted?

I rang the Sheffield store yesterday the 12/5/17 spoke to a guy in the workshop asked if they could fit a campag chainset to my road bike yes was the reply I double checked later that day as its a specific tool that's needed the same guy said yes we have the tools for the job so off I go today by train at a cost of £6 the 15 miles to the store only to be told by a different guy no sorry we don't have the tools needed for a campag chainset fit then to add insult to injuryi get offerd a meesly £10 gift card never again shall I deal with this company they clearly have no idea what they are doing total cowboys

Received online order. Obvious red pen mark on white cricket trousers. Items were creased up in a ball in the bag. No care when picking. No care when packing. No paperwork in bag to make the return easy. And their returns online is crazy complicated. Might be an idea to learn from how Nike does online.

I am writing to let you know about the level of service from your Giltbrook store. My wife phoned on Saturday 29th April to enquire about stock of Item 893378, yes it was available, yes in Medium, yes in Pink. We asked if we should collect that day but were assured that it would be put in a bag with our name on and that it was OK for me to collect yesterday Tuesday 2nd May. I left Huddersfield early to travel back to Nottingham so I could collect the jacket in time I then spent over 1 fruitless hour at the store with 2 assistants trying to vain to find the jacket, being offered alternatives, sending photographs back and forth to my wife trying to work out which jacket she'd reserved, speaking eventually to the manager - the jacket hadn't been reserved and had been presumably sold in the meantime. I have been assured that a replacement jacket will be posted to me free of charge so am now in the position where I have actually paid for a jacket that I actually still haven't recd but may get in 'around 7 days time' It's surely not that difficult and hardly rocket science to place an item in a bag labelled for someone and if your staff cannot manage this they should not offer this service. If anybody does ask me the level of service from Decathlon I'd have to say something along the lines of inept/clueless. Garry Perkins

Terrible experience - ordered a bike on 22nd April and was promised it would arrive on 27th April as I needed it for the 29th. Didn't receive it on 27th. Didn't receive on 28th. Was told had to wait at least until 2nd May - simply NOT ACCEPTABLE. Never ordering from Decathlon again. If I could give 0 stars, I would have.

Disgusting service. My son has rode his bike 4 times since Christmas, I have had numerous emails back and forth from decathlon about a complaint, then the product was recalled! However I still after 3 more weeks still no further forward and still have a bike that can't be rode!

One star isn't even worthy .. ordered a bike in store for my sons birthday 20th April 17 the assistant processed the ordered n stated it would be delivered on the 19th perfect I thought ! When I returned home I realised that the bike was a medium not large so I cancelled that order and orders the large instead .. on the 19th we stayed in all day waiting for the delivery to our disappointment it never arrived !!it in fact came the Nxt day at lunchtime however too late as my son wanted it on the morning of his birthday.. we opened the box and the back gears were hanging off !! I called and spoke to Sonia who advises me to walk with the bike to the nearest bike shop to get it fixed as I had no transport and send them the receipt for a refund .i asked about my refund for the first bike to be told it was being processed ..she informed me I cudnt exchange until the original bike had been returned back to them .. so now I'm £320 out of pocket for two bikes my son still as no bike and when I called to spk to a manager I waited 3 days for them to return my call !! I called again and spoke to Beatrice who lnformee me that the manager miss OKSANA was unavailable to speak to me !!! Never will I shop In Decathlon again as their customer service is appalling !!!

Well I ordered the table tennis table in November so it would be here in plenty of time for Xmas. I called the second week in December as it was still saying awaiting deliver. I was assured it was on route and everything was ok. I called again the third week of December to chase again I was told my order hadn't been dispatched as they didn't have the bats and balls I had ordered at the same time and that they couldn't guarantee deliver by Xmas. So much for being organised and planning ahead. Your team were totally unhelpful and basically couldn't care less that my order wouldn't be delivered in time for Xmas even though it had been ordered a month before. So basically due to the uselessness of your staff rather than just calling to say there weren't any bats which I could have got anywhere but your table will be delivered they just sent nothing. I cancelled my order the week before Xmas and ended up with a very disappointed son on Xmas day. No apology or understanding from your useless unhelpful staff. For a big company your are an embarrassment.

Very dissatisfied with the anti-fraud policy of decathlon. This is the last online shopping I make in your store. I am forced to buy online only by a small selection of goods at a local store. This policy significantly slows down the execution of orders, I am forced to buy another birthday present for the child.

tl;dr Greatproducts, provided nothing goes wrong and you don't have to use their customer service. Call centre staff will lie through their teeth and are less than helpful. From the very start, before having bought the product, had issues placing the order and call centre staff were less than helpful. Paypal accepted payment, decathlon declined it, leaving £420 in limbo. Customer service clueless, offered call backs that never transpired, had staff hang up and refuse to allow me to speak to a manager. When product was recieved, a manufacturing fault meant i had to deal with call centre again. Decathlon soon accepted responsibility and offered to send out replacement part after around a week of persuasion. When i came to look at the replacement order i found that decathlon were trying to fob me off with a lower priced home brand product rather than replacing like-for-like. Had to phone CS again, this time i encountered a more helpful staff member who refunded me the difference in price between the two parts; claiming that decathlon didn't stock the spare that came as standard on my bike. Now my bike has been off the road for almost a month, spare parts have been recieved, but when i come to swap the parts i realise that the two are incompatible with eachother. Phone CS, as soon as i mention it is a faulty product 'Dean' claims that i would have to speak to the 'Man' who first took my call (it was a woman) because he was only filling in and couldn't possibly help. Apparently, yet again, no manager was present - of course, it's a lie. At every step in the process, the answer has been the same, lying CS agents who are less than helpful.

I wouldn't give even 1* for Decathlon. The worst company ever, customer service is just a joke. When you call them and ask for their name they don't want to tell you, when you ask to speak to the manager they reply "I'm a manager". Completely unacceptable behaviors there, they all should be sacked immediately. I ordered one item and they couldn't deliver and they didn't know where is my parcel. They didn't even want to give me a refund as they said 8.50£ is nothing. They always told me that my parcel will be delivered today and they told me to call tomorrow if not. Then they promised a free shipping to my house again and a gift voucher but they never do that so no delivery, no item, no return. NOTHING. DECATHLON YOU ARE THE WORST COMPANY EVER!

I ordered on line for the first time only to be told that they could only process my order if I sent a copy of my passport and utility bill. I didn't want to do this so asked to cancel my order. I have now been informed that it will take up to 7 working days to refund me. This is the first and last time I order anything from decathalon. I am very disappointed.

Ordered football boots (Adidas Copa Mundial) online for instore collection, received email to advise product now in store so drove to store, collected product and returned home only to find that size is not what I ordered - I ordered UK 8.5 (clear on invoice) and received UK 9. Tried calling the store to complain only to get a recorded message that it's closed - it's not closed at 4:30pm on a Sunday! Now i'll have to do another roundtrip to the store to return them. Don't think i'll be ordering from Decathlon again.

checked on line for a sweatsuit said it was available at the Surrey Quays branch when to the branch none in stock so ordered on line at the branch to be collected at my local branch Croydon, went to the tills to pay the system failed and the order was lost.....was a total waste of time....I will never look to shop at Decathlon again.....and for all my inconvienance was only offered a 10% discount which totalled £1.19....DECATHLON MASSIVELY FAILED ME....never again.

Me...2 mins to select item. Me...2 mins to pay for item (Now £30+ out of bank) Decathlon....Now £30+ up and in Bank. Decathlon.......A week to acknowledge an order.....DUHHHH!!! Decathlon......The acknowledgement was only to tell me its out of stock.......DUHHHH!!!! Decathlon.......Will now happily pay me back my refund in another 7 days........Smart !!!!! Me.........DUHHHHHH!!!! Bumped again!! Even if they did have ithe item it was still a 2 week turnaround.. Avoid Avoid Avoid Try to buy at your peril. My money is on a 2 week holiday..
