“We purchased the Dillon Foam Corner Sofa two years ago and unfortunately it has been one of the worst purchases we ever made.
The sofa started sinking after 6 months of use. We are a family of 3 and take care of our furniture in the best possible way.
However no amount of care can rescue the lack of quality provided by DFS. We regret our purchase deeply and will never go back to DFS.
The showroom sofa we decided to purchase was of much better quality. What was eventually delivered to our house was by no means the same product. The sofa is way lower then the product we chose in store and the quality is appalling. After siting on it for a few minutes you sink so deep into the sofa, we barely manage to get up from it. All the zippers of the cushions broke and the inside material is coming out. The fabric attracts all the dust and no amount of cleaning is helping. After complaining to DFS they sent a consultant to our house to check the product.
As a matter of fact, it was a laughable experience. The consultant sat on each spot on the sofa for about 30 seconds and confirmed nothing is wrong with the sofa. How can you come to a conclusion after 30 seconds? Try sitting on it for an hour and see how it feels. Both my husband and I have been suffering from back pain since purchasing this sofa.
If you are looking for quality, avoid DFS.”
“Purchased red leather suite and after a couple of years the leather is peeling and worn. DFS uninterested as it's out of warranty. Don't purchase a suite from them if you want it to last”

“Bought 2 leather settees, the dye is coming out so it looks awful, the stitching is coming apart. Phoned dfs quoted the 15 year guarantee plus the extra 5 year warranty I bought. Dfs response. Nothing is covered so we won’t do anything. Cheap badly made rubbish with very deceiving advertising on their so called warranty. “Sofa seat cushions wore out after 3 years. Could not claim on insurance as it was not “accidental” damage and customer service say I have to pay for new ones as they don’t cover wear and tear past 2years. Clearly products are not built to last and customer service team and not interested in driving customer loyalty. Absolutely disgusted with how I have been treated. Would not recommend buying from DFS to anyone.”

“Ordered a corner double recliner we have had it 3 yrs, already had someone from dfs to look at it last year, told was perfectly ok and was not that interested. It was the worst thing i have purchased, feel springs through cushions, padding all gone and recliners still don't close correctly. For what i paid and the claims dfs made would not be expecting to be sending to the rubbish tip. Would never recoccomend dfs.”
“Complete farce..... Sales rep ordered the wrong table so we waited months for the correct one, we received calls on 2 occasions telling us the table has arrived only for the appointment to be cancelled. When it arrived it was damaged so waiting another month. the correct table finally arrived but one of the chairs was damaged but they wouldn't accept responsibility because we didn't point it out there and then. if it wasn't for the 4 years interest free option they would have zero business. First and last time i will be using DFS”

“Terrible experience with the suite we payed cash for! Delivery men ripped the lining underneath the settee on delivery! Had to get the customer service manager to come out! Recliner chair the chair us out of sync! The cushions have all gone flat and looks like there no filler in any of this awful suite! The suite is 3 months old and looks like we have had it for over 2 years! Had management come out took pictures etc and now been told there is nothing more they can do! “WARNING! DFS sofa left my child with permanent scarring on her arm due to a protruding upholstery staple. We raised a complaint with customer services and they offered us a hamper ‘for our inconvenience’. Their Customer Service is appalling. We wrote to the CEO and he wasn’t interested. They said they’d email with an offer of ‘monetary value’ then we heard nothing. I tried to call the Customer Services Manager and left several messages without any reply. Do not go near them.”
“Wish I had seen this website before I ordered my sofa. Where shall I start? Foot hole not drilled so had to sit on sofa while it was directly sitting on the floor. Delivery chap left blood on the front of one of the seat cushions. Pulls in the fabric, one of them actually broken so there is a small hole, back cushion that doesn't fill out the cushion cover, bottom edge of one cushion isn't straight it has a wave in it and it isn't the same height as the other one. Wavy piping on one of the arms, fabric on the front of seat cushions all puckered. Numerous loose threads in the seams. I had a so called service engineer
come out the day after it was delivered, all he did was drill a hole for the foot, with some difficulty, snip some of the loose threads and remove the blood. I've spoken to the shop in Northampton twice now, you couldn't find a more rude woman, so dismissive and aggressive, she must have been a Rottweiler in a previous life. Definitely a case of we've got your money now don't bother us. Another visit for yet another service engineer was arranged for June 20th, yesterday, between 1 and 4pm. What a surprise, he was a no show. I've taken legal advice, informed my credit card company what is going on, they've been very helpful. I've sent a letter today to Head Office by recorded delivery setting everything out, telling them I am rejecting the sofa as it is less than 30 days since delivery, telling them I want a full refund and giving them 14 days from the date of the letter for confirmation. If that doesn't work I go back to credit card company and they take over. You can find all the information you need to get a result on the web. No, DFS doesn't return phone calls or emails, their customer support is non-existent despite all the blurb on the paperwork. They are very good at ignoring us. Don't let them get away with it. I'm not going to. I'll keep you posted.”

“Ordered a sofa through Poole branch under finance. Great expirance in store but that is as good as it got. Got confirmation that the finance was approved. Then got a delivery date for Tuesday 11th June. Tuesday came a went no delivery so I rang them. They said they are still waiting for release code from finance company. This all came about from a paperwork issue from store not paperwork not filled in correctly. Now 2 days passed, had to ring Hitachi finance to get the release code my self. Passed this on to DFS
Fully booked for delivery for the rest of the week now so have to wait another week but been on a list for express delivery on Saturday or monday but delivery will only happen if someone cancels their delivery. This is not acceptable DFS. Considering it was a paperwork issue on your behalf I would expect you to get a delivery space available sooner.

He arrived at 1.30pm so neither my wife or i was there. My 78 year old mother in law let him in. Apparently He straightened a bent bar then left before 2pm. So we had no chance to check if it was repaied. Absolutely no difference. Still doesnt work properly and ca not get Dfs to answer the phone after 2 days of ringing. Very poor”
