Absolute terrible company to deal with. Customer service operators don’t have a clue. Policy will b getting cancelled and would rather pay a bit more with Scottish Gas. Customer service operators shifted me from Pilar to post nobody wanting to deal with the situation. Would I recommend this company definitely NO

Shocking customer services! Spent several hours on the phone being shifted from pillar to post for what should have been a simple task - to get a service engineer to take a look at my tumble dryer! All attempts to put me through to the repair centre failed. Resorted in e-mailing them to be told that I should try calling back when lines open in the morning to avoid queueing! Frustrating!

Absolutely appalling to deal with so avoid them at all costs. Been waiting 2 weeks to get a cooker repair and not once has anyone called to update me so it's left to me to phone them all the time. Their so-called Resolution team are a joke and have no intention of helping, in fact, they're the exact opposite and seem to take pleasure in making you wait. When I asked why not one person had called they actually said this is an incoming call centre so we can't call you back, this despite being told on 2 separate occasions that they would, so make of that fiasco what you will. DO NOT USE THIS CROWD........you will regret it.

After 4 years of paying for washing machine and tumble dryer cover, my washing mashing spinner has broke, the door has also been leaking and the bottom of the machine has corroded so they are refusing to repair or replace, wouldn't touch this company with a barge pole, absolutely disgusted, now left with no washing machine and out of pocket by 4 years worth of insurance

I had a fault with my washing machine, Domestic and general sent out Whirlpool, engineer arrived said I dont work on these, stated I will try ot get going, if you call back in 4 to 6 weeks I will get it written off and replaced with a whirlpool machine, waited over a week for this appalling service, called D&G again and they appointed an independent repairer, they cam out fixed in minutes, they told me they told me whirlpool only want to write off and then replace with a whirlpool product, I would not have whirlpool, considering changing to another insurer.

The most shocking service EVER. Please do not use this company. I had 13 engineers come out to repair a single fault with my dishwasher - that’s 13 mornings / afternoons off work. The engineers were rude, uninterested and rushed. On two occasions they simply didn’t show up and I received no explanation why until I chased up and was told on the first occasion the van broke down and then that the engineer was unwell. Absolute joke from start to finish.After flooding my kitchen they offered to replace my machine and then sent me the bill! Please, I implore you, do not give your money or time to this shocking company! I was promised call backs to follow up on my complaint and didn’t get a call back.

Sold me a protection plan for a fridge/freezer over the phone, the sales person made it sound fantastic, unlimited parts, unlimited labour to repair a fridge/freezer, and if they can't repair it, they will replace it (Fantastic right?), when they realised they could not repair the fridge/freezer after 2 engineer visits (no idea why they went to see it twice), they want to cancel the policy instead of replacing the fridge/freezer as promised. They told me that I misunderstood what the sales person said... luckily, all phone calls are recorded, but they need 3-5 days to get the phone call, and they will investigate, if they cancel my policy, I'm going straight with the call recording to trading standards, as its blatant miss-selling, beware guys, I can't imagine how many people have been scammed!

My 6 months old 49 inch Samsung TV screen had a crack. D&G replaced the screen with no additional cost as promised while buying the insurance policy within a week of lodging the complaint. I was regularly updated by the repair Agency about the availability of the spare parts and the appointment for the TV repair. Very happy with the service. Thank you. D&G and Equinox.

I am a gas engineer and it’s a scam shocking service keep well away A boiler should be covered full but they exclude certain items flues re pressurising systems expansion vessel blockages powerflush They replace items not to manufactures instruction Don’t treat the heating systems with inhibitor which will escalate problems further Keep well away cowboy outfit Or report them to trade and standards or panorama scam

Had I known how they would handle my repair I would never have taken their insurance policy. Bad customer service. Miscommunication between the company and their engineers. Waste of time. Taking unnecessary time to repair. Lack of explanation on what they are going to do. Resolutions team has no experience on what they're trying to resolve.

I took out care & repair cover for my fridge freezer with Domestic & General. The policy stated that if they couldn't repair it then they would replace it free of charge. After 3 failed repair attempts they simply cancelled my policy without consultation or explanation. Domestic and General are a grubby, greedy rabble who must be avoided like the proverbial plague.

My 92 year mother in law took out a repair plan the first week of March for her cooker with a promise they would fix the problem she had. It's now May 28th and they have still not fixed it - every time they send an engineer it is (the same) incorrect part that arrives. I have spent hours on the phone, sent them photos and sent numerous emails and have eventually given up and asked for a refund for her. Service is non existant, do not use.

Booked a repair. Took over a week. Engineer in my home says I don't know if I can fix it. I will ring the workshop. Does that. I can't take your TV, we don't know if a part is available. We will ring you next week. Week later t. Is written off admitted my TV is old but it was working perfect before my son dropped the ironing board and it went through the screen. They have offered me an unbranded TV in its place. Nothing compared to my tv. Disgusted. I will be cancelling my service once this is done!!!!! I will not use again!!

Absolutely appalling customer service I have been waiting for the engineer lost out on work because of it then had the cheek to call me and said that he will not be able to walk over because he can’t carry his bag I offered to pick him up any solution that I offered he sisd no, domestic And General Insurance are you to a place Called domex they are even worse. Do not use this

I am absolutely appalled by the way Domestic And General Insurance handled my problem, called up made an appointment because my fridge was not working five days later the engineer from domex called to say that he cannot park the car and walk 300 feet because the company will not let him I offered to pick him up he said no to every solution that I gave and then they called me back and offered me an appointment for 10 days later in total that’s just over two weeks without a fridge . It’s all good when they take the money from you every single week I am going to take this complaint further I am absolutely disgusted!!!!!

I wish I had checked out the reviews first ! As many others have posted, the D&G service is very unreliable. The engineer failed to show and kept me waiting 3 times. Don't use this company. So many bad reviews. How can they keep trading ?

Strongly disappointed with D&G as a company selling insurance cover. You don't get what you pay for with their insurance cover. Mine was an insurance policy for Boiler Service, what a joke calling it a Service! This company couldn't care less about their customers, especially if you're Elderly, Severely Disabled be it Mentally or Physically, don't have a degree in Technology or Engineering and not forgetting the complexities of The Law. All they are interested in is taking money from people and doing whatever they can to 'get out' of providing the care service they profess in their literature, i.e. Customer Policy letters with headlines such as "Relax, we've got you covered"! The Policy I paid for offered an annual service on my Baxi Boiler. To arrange this, Customers are told to ring for a service engineer appointment. D&G policy states "Arrange a day that works for you". In reality, you are informed that an appointment is only arranged via Baxi Customer Services. My Policy date ended 10/4/19 and guess what, the only appointment available to me was 9/4/19, despite my contacting them several months in advance! As I expected, despite being told the Engineer would call anytime between 9am until 5pm and would ring me at least half hour prior to his visit. After waiting all day for him to arrive or ring, he did not! When I contacted D&G, I was told that their records state an Engineer called at my property. Well, he must have been invisible, as myself didn't see him, neither did my very diligent, very yappy dog with outstanding hearing! Therefore, any problems with the Boiler ,which should have been picked up by the Promised Annual Boiler Service Engineer were not! Was this extremely poor service due to the fact that several weeks earlier, fed up with D&G's increasing policy costs, lack of value for my money, their expectations placed on customers of all ages and capabilities to visit their Online Boiler Care Portal for boiler maintenance advice! Are you kidding! WHAT PLANET DOES THIS COMPANY COME FROM! Customers expected to learn boiler engineering, no doubt another ploy to not provide a service and terrible Customer Care I cancelled the Policy?

Case still didn't solve after almost 2 months,if want to find out something need to phone as noone is bother to contact you, all you can hear is " I do apologise " and still nothing,ignorance all the way,but first to take money of your account

I would award this company 5 stars but I really do think it is DISGRACEFUL the amount of money they throw away in paper and postage. We have a 10 appliance plan and every renewal we get 10 letters!! I have phoned them for the last 2 years about this to no avail. We also have 10 direct debits! WHY??
