Throughout lookdown I rated DPD ten out of ten and the odd query was quickly dealt with by very efficient UK based customer service. Recently however I was brought a delivery from one company which was logged not as one consignment but each item in the consignment was logged individually with a time delay before the next item could be scanned As there were a number of items this was a total waste of time I was very busy that day and had an appointment and didn’t have time to wait so I asked the driver to bring the delivery back the next day as one consignment. Without notification my delivery was returned to the sender Since then DPD has sent back every one of my deliveries without even attempting delivery Despite spending over four and a half hours (yes that’s right) on the phone to their customer service team in South Africa and having been promised returned calls which have not happened I have been unable to speak to anyone in the UK to get to the bottom of this problem Hero to zero overnight!

Twice now we have been told that DPD will pick up a parcel, and twice we have been told that "When our driver arrived we were told there was nothing to collect." That's because he's going to the wrong address. Ipswich is not Wivenhoe. At least the excuse this time is more likely than the previous one when we were told that our address did not exist.

It is the worst experience I have ever had with a delivery company. They didn't even ring the doorbell and said they missed our house, even though they were right there. I called customer service but they weren't helpful at all.

Absolute rubbish! Pick up service has become worse each year and today really topped it! My collection number: 0061 690 892 7 supposed to be between 1100-1200 but on checking status at 1300, it says driver came and was told there was nothing for him! We checked our security cctv and did not see anybody from DPD at our door except for the Royal Mail postman. Called at 1414 only to be told that I’ve to wait till 1700 and that the local warehouse have contacted Mr. Gabor to come to our house. Then at 1704 I called again to check status and was told I’ve to call the company who had requested the pickup in this case it was Ziffit to arrange another pick up time! Why then wasn’t this conveyed in the first phone call? I asked the second customer service lady of how and where I can lodge formal complaints of this horrendous driver service and she kept repeating that I’ve to contact Ziffit to arrange delivery! I’m very sure she understood my questions just refused to let me know or does your company have no way for consumers to lodge complaints? I think it’s time that the Trades Ombudsman to look into your failing company services that doesn’t even provide an email or person to contact for official complaints. Absolutely rubbish and unusable!

Corrupt lying cheating crooks!! Waited in watching app updates. DPD van turns up within the scheduled hour, delivering to someone else. Asked him if he had anything for my address, and was told no. Drove off. Continued waiting only to receive a message saying “Sorry we missed you as there was no one in to sign for your delivery”!!! I waited in all day to be mugged off like that!! Found the DPD depot’s number and called to receive an automated message saying the same thing; “Sorry we missed you, the driver won’t be back today, and will return on Tuesday”!! Wtaf! That’s in five days time! …and they were just here!! Give me strength; I could really let rip at someone right now! LIARS!!!!

This is the worst courier company. Before Christmas did not deliver my shipment,, I paid extra for the delivery before Christmas, they wrote all week that they would deliver tomorrow, tomorrow until they finally wrote that they missed me and returned after the holidays and there were my family gifts there, I received after Christmas all the wet and kicked parcel, did not even apologize for it. Today repeats it again, I wait all day for an expensive parcel, they changed the time and finally writing hat they miss me and will come back tomorrow😪

Ordered business cards to be delivered by DPD to my address at a block of flats. I received a text saying that my order had been delivered and was signed by me but I never received anything - I received no phone call nor heard my buzzer go off. They included a photo "proof" which was seemed to be a blurry photo of the delivery driver's hand. So I got the company to re-deliver another set of business cards to me. Turns out DPD had left the package outside the front door of the block on top of the buzzer which could have been taken by anyone who saw it. Second time around, it was to be delivered by DPD again and, again, they didn't even bother to ring the buzzer or my mobile. Luckily this time they thought to leave the package at a local pickup point. DPD is literally the worst carrier in the country.

Sent a package across the city of Glasgow next day service on the 26th March, 7 days later they still hadn't picked it up. They've now held it at Holytown depot for 4 days for reasons best known to themselves. NEXT DAY SERVICE!?

The delivery driver didn't even knock the door. I required a parcel be collected that same day and have been waiting right by the door the entire 1 hour slot, and yet this idiot didn't even knock. The DPD then gets away with rescheduling the collection for a different day with no punishment. Horrendous service.

I paid extra for a Saturday delivery. The driver pulled up, took a photo of the front of my property and I received a delivery failed notification as I opened the door (at no point did he knock or ring the bell). The driver then drove off. I phoned and was promised a Sunday delivery 0800-1200 'as compensation'. This was then cancelled at 1030. When I was phoned I was told that they didn't have enough parcels to warrant a Sunday delivery. I was told to complain to the company who I ordered through. Absolutely shocking.

I paid extra for delivery between 12-6 on Saturday and specifically went to the office. I was monitoring the map and the driver was quite far away and few more deliveries to be made. Then suddenly they said they missed me! The driver did not come to my office and didn't leave any calling card. The customer service chat was useless and unable to help or refund me. In the end I cancelled the order with the supplier as I cannot trust that DPD will come on the day that they're supposed to.

They sent me "We missed you" emails twice so far while I was just right at my apartment. They never called my mobile, or used the callbox to dial my apartment number. And they've been running around with my electronics multiple days and god knows the condition about them now. Extremely unhappy with their drivers and the customer support. Never use this service!!!

Twice I've had a "Missed you" notification from DPD despite giving them detailed delivery instructions . Obviously, they hire people with a low IQ, so they don't have to pay them much. I would suggest that they employ people that can follow basic instructions and read road signs.

DPD drivers have told me they are instructed not to even try to deliver in my rural area -- just say "business closed," "no one home," or similar. Rural areas hurt their delivery target of 20 per hours, so they do not even try. This is happening to even with shipments from IKEA and Costco. Yesterday yet another delivery was not even attempted. Security cameras prove DPD was not ever in the area.

Their raison d'etre is to deliver parcels. They failed and so fail as a credible company. Mistakes happen but unhelpful out of date web tracking, impotent chat handlers typing out script driven platitudes, and no sense of customer service are not mistakes. They are symptoms of a dinosaur service and DPD is well past its sell date. Companies like this should not survive: DPD your clock says 5 minutes to Midnight, good night

I must say Horrible service of DPD second time they lied that hey came to the property and collected the item. They put wall pics instead of parcels.
