Why did I not see this site before booking with easiride? I can only agree with what has already been said, they were so unprofessional it was unreal. The shuttle bus only runs every 50 minutes. Once we got there we had to wait while staff tried to muddle through, all 3 customers in front of us had some sort of issue. When we finally got served they tried to give us a lower spec car,( because they had given the car booked for us to the people in front of us who also came from the same town as us ) After 2 hours waiting we placed our stuff in the boot while we checked the car, (silly us we left the boot up and surprise surprise there was scratches on the boot that were not recorded) ok our mistake our responsibility but when returning it took 4 guys to sort out the paperwork so 55 minutes later missed the connecting shuttle bus back to Gatwick. Summing up AVOID AT ALL COST - pay a bit extra as Easirent Gatwick are a shower of Cowboys

If you say your not happy when renting a car with them they simply refuse to rent one to you. I said I would put a review about the hidden charges I received and the guy rung up just head office and said they don't hire to people who give them bad reviews. Sick twisted people work at EasiRent go to a decent hire company where you receive a smile along with please and thank you instead of rudeness. https://youtu.be/ujsT4B5jKm4

We returned a hire car to them with a new booking was meant to be collecting another car. I had an issue with a hidden charge what wasn't clear in the contract, I said I would be reviewing this online so the manager said "anyone that leaves us bad reviews will not be able to hire a car with us". He left us stranded and was happy to be rude and abrupt in front of my child. I filmed everything and will upload this to YouTube, search EasiRent and you will find the video....

It's a harsh word to use, but how these guys operate is nothing short of criminal. Save yourself the hassle and go to a reputable car rental firm (Enterprise/Avis/Hertz), the service will be much better and you won't be stung for damage you didn't cause.

Avoid at all costs!!!!! Seriously, at first glance they look cheap in comparison to the competition but don't be fooled. Pay the extra upfront and go with a reputable company. They tried to charge me for damage but after showing the pics I'd taken at the time of collection I've been charged £75 for cleaning....the car was absolutely filthy when collected and they want me to foot the bill for cleaning it surrounding me in an ill attempt to intimidate me. Thieves who are only interested in getting as much money as they can extort while they still have customers....only a matter of time until they are out of business as anyone who has been unfortunate enough to go with them once will never return

Absolute Scam... the worst ever, I got charged for one day of rental more than I got charged in my entire 25 year driving history, combined. I got a car with a chip on the wind shield that compromised its integrity, and when I returned it back they charged me a ridiculous amount to replace it!!! That is in addition to all the issues with the customer service and professionalism... This is a company that will run out of business very quickly.

Horrible experience from start to finish. They try to take as much money from you as possible. Fees, hidden charges, not telling you everything up front. Dishonest and unscrupulous.

Its a trick! Great prices, then we arrived and were asked for a deposit of £1500! When we said 'no chance' they said take out an insurance policy for £120. So add that to your bill. I havent taken the car back yet so they better not try on any damage. I made sure i took photos of the vehicle with the chap doing the checking in the picture. I shall photo it when I return it to make sure that they dont try it on. Every person waiting to pick up a vehicle were having the same argument as we were. Most were foreign and didnt really understand. I wish I'd checked the reviews first! Its a con. Go to one of the big names, they cost a little more but are much more reliable and dont try and rip you off (too much.) Not a happy customer.

Easirent London. 1) Terrible service. Took 50mins-1 hour to do all the paperwork in the office. 2) Car is parked 10-15min walk away 3) Charged £150 for a scuffed wheel when returning the vehicle, which I have no way of proving and they probably know that. Front right wheel. I know for sure I did not scratch any wheels. Such con artists. Pay a bit more for another rental company and save yourself the hassle, AND the money later on as these guys will get you somehow.

Terrible company. Refused to accept the full cover that i had already taken out with Rental.com, claiming it would not cover me if the car was damaged in a car park !! Of course this turned out to be not true. Horrible people

Below you can read my complaint Dear Sr./Madam, I am writing regard a poor experience that I had last night when I returned my car to your garage. First of all, there was a mistake with Expedia and I don’t know where it is your fault or their. I have booked the car online under the driver name, however I read that the driver were suppose to give a credit card details. The driver didn’t have a credit card, so I called Expedia to change the driver – that was myself who has the credit card, they told me as long as I was in the car with the driver there was no need to change the driver’s name. Yesterday, I went to pick up the car with the driver and your people said that they couldn’t do it, so we had to book under car and we spent £75.91 on top of those £20 that we paid with Expedia. I will check who was wrong between you too! Secondly, when we brought the car back, a person from the staff claimed that there was a scratch on the car body. I insisted that it was already there and he checked on his computer and he found out that actually that scratch was already there. As he couldn’t find anything else, he said that at the front wheel there was a small scrape, which it was no true – see the picture attached. He kept saying that the car has not been parked in a safe place. I can show you the picture where car was parked and it was a secure place and I can get the recording from the car park. I am just writing to let you know that I have called my bank to cancel this payment, as it is ridiculous paying £250 for something that I haven’t done and as it shows the picture is not there. Obviously, this was the first and the last time that I use your company, as I don’t trust you anymore.

Avoid at all costs This is by far the worst case of 'you've agreed to our t&c's so we can do whatever the hell we like' I have ever experienced. I booked a car with them through a third party website, which I use all the time and I have grown to trust. I foolishly assumed that there was some kind of minimum requirement for the companies they list. How wrong I was. Firstly, they advertised as being based at Heathrow. What is not clear (I'm sure it's there somewhere in the small print but it's far from apparent) is that they are a bus ride from the terminal and you may have to wait half an hour to get the bus, then be told you need to show a booking in order to avoid paying for said bus (again, I'm sure it's in their t&c's somewhere, but I sure as hell didn't know), then miss the bus as a result of not being able to get online quickly, then wait another half hour, then finally take the bus to a hotel a considerable distance away. When you get to their office (a dingy backroom in a hotel) the fun continues. I had just got off a 13 hour flight and wanted to get to my b&b nice and quickly but was waiting for a good half hour in that freezing office before it was my turn to speak to someone. This is where it went to a new level. I hire cars all the time and am very used to the way insurance usually works. I take the basic cover and don't opt to cover the excess; I'll take my chances. Why? Because the extra cover is so damn expensive. With Easirent, the insurance cost per day was way more than what I was paying for the rental so I definitely didn't want to pay for it. I'd already booked through rentalcars.com and opted not to take the insurance. I was told that if I didn't take the insurance I would have to pay a deposit. That seemed fair enough but unfortunately my debit cards were not good enough for Easirent. They needed a credit card (it says so in their t&c's, of course it does). I mean everyone has credit cards, right? What sort of person doesn't have a credit card? What sort of person just assumes that you can pay with a dirty, filthy DEBIT card and doesn't follow the link from the third party site to the obscure, lengthy terms and conditions to check the specific forms of payment that are acceptable. Well, me. I don't have any credit cards at the moment. I'm sorry. But I really need that car and I can't go back to the airport now because it's a long way away and I'm cold and tired and I think the last bus has gone anyway. Sorry, sir, it's in the t&c's. So I ended up paying for ridiculously priced insurance. They were very happy to let me pay for that with my debit card. I was going to write a review after this experience but didn't get round to it then over a month later I noticed an unexpected transaction on said debit card from.... guess who. It was £55. A £55 admin fee for forwarding a parking ticket to me. So this rental has ended up costing me more than all my other rentals for the year put together. This company operate very differently from all the other car hire companies I have dealt with. I wish I'd read others' reviews before checking the box!

I wished I had researched reviews before renting with this company. Very easy one-step booking process on website. But the rental process turned out to be a true disaster. It took me 1.5 hours to collect the car from Manchester airport. 30 minutes to wait for van pickup at the train terminal. On arrival, the staff there were extremely rude to all customers and basically yelled at all of us, including the non-English-speaking tourists that just got off the plane. It took me 30 minutes standing in line to get served. The amount of paperwork (including two recent proofs of address and some sort of licencing check) was extraordinary. I was given a car that had a big dent on the side - people would ask me what happened, which was quite embarrancing. The outside was clean but the inside was not cleaned at all with rubbish strewn across the car floor. On return it was the same terrible attitude with staff yelling at customers and at the phone. Again a long wait - 20 minutes to be served. There was a 1cm scratch on the plastic hubcap of the wheels, which all major companies would count as normal wear and tear. I was charged £410 pounds for it - it would have cost 30 pounds to buy a brand new one in the shop. As I was in a hurry to catch a plane, I paid and jumped on the van. These guys are rude blood suckers. I have rented cars in more than 10 countries and have never encountered anything quite like it. An extremely unpleasant and expensive experience. Be ware...

Avoid Easirent like the plague. I rented a car from them at "Gatwick" (they are quite a long way from Gatwick, by the way). When I picked up the car I asked for the location of the nearest petrol station so that I could fill up on my return. I was given verbal directions, but on my return journey I failed to find the petrol station. As I was very close to Easirent and wanted to make the next shuttle bus back to the airport, I drove into their office with the intention of getting directions and then re-filling, or paying them to do it if it wasn't going to be too expensive. The person who dealt with me first was extremely helpful and explained that (unsurprisingly) it would be very expensive for them to fill the car. He directed me to a nearby supermarket even offered to run me to the airport if I missed the bus whilst filling up! What brilliant service I thought!. However, at this point the manager interrupted and insisted that once I was on their premises I was deemed to have returned the car would not allowed be to leave again. He was rude and belligerent. The rest of the staff were clearly embarrassed and looked a bit intimidated by his bullying manner. He took the key and hurriedly ordered the clerk to debit my card for the fuel without my agreement. He then told me that there was nothing that I could do about it as it is all in the terms and conditions (the last refuge of the rip-off merchant). It's a pity that they have managers like this because the other staff seem very helpful.

I have only read a few reviews, as I see there is a very consistent pattern here (one star ratings). I'm thinking mine must be amongst the best reasons for yet another poor Easirent / Rentalcars review. Two weeks ago I booked a car for 12 midday at Edinburgh Airport but arrived at 3pm. I was told my car had been given away. Ha, ha. Given away! It wa the straight faced delivery of the guy behind the counter that made it worth the money. Delivered with sincerity, as if their position was totally reasonable, and what an idiot I must be. I should have been annoyed, but I thought it hilarious when the assistant manager started wittering on about reading the small print, about late arrivals policy and just like the other review pushing for me to get a more expensive upgrade instead. We went to Europcar who gave a fantastic service for a decent price and put the whole episode behind us. Don't let these people steal your money and ruin your trip - avoid Easimoney and Choose Life.

I have rented with easirent at least 5 times in the past year or so from two of their London airport branches The ONLY reason I have gone back in the past is because they are cheap. Their service is awful and every time you rent they will find a way to bully you into paying more. Upon arriving at the Glasgow High Street branch the gentlemen behind the desk started the usual process by trying to get me to add an additional driver. I had to point out that the person with me didnt have a license for him to stop. I provided my licence and proof of address. Same license and proof of address type document I have used all other 5 times I rented from them. I was told he had to call customer service as my license is in my maiden name and proof address is in my married name. The gentlemen then informed me after his call I was unable to rent from them. As I could steal the car.... I pointed out that this has never been a problem. Not any of the other 5 times have I ever been questioned. His response was he was doing his job. After going back and forward the gentlemen told me (with a huge smirk on his face) he would give me the car for £230.00 versus the £39.91 I paid online. At this point I decided I to walk out. I appreciate terms and conditions are in place for a reason however if you are prepare to "bend" the rules for for money - then you are being dishonest! I called customer service after I left, spoke to a lady that wasn't very friendly who pointed out to me that even if I did pay more I couldn't have the car. So I would be really interested to know what is the actual policy? And do the rental agents get commission if they manage to bully more money out of you. I jumped online and reserved another car with Sixt. Their location is very convenient right by Glasgow City Central. Within 30mins of making my new booking I was driving out of Sixt car park. I paid £67 and I got a much nicer car then what I have previously rented with easirent. The gentlemen that helped me at Sixt was also extremely helpful and made us feel welcome in their office. Sixt has gained a regular customer!

This company has failed to provide a satisfactory rental service, I've had unauthorised charges made to my card, customer services have been very slow and have avoided questions. I arrived to find the branch closed at 20:50 despite my booking for 21:00 being accepted and the branch advertising they were open until 22:00 (this was even confirmed with a phone call to the branch). I was then charged more to collect a lower spec car than I ordered the following day. It's taken over a month and they've still only refunded me the taxi fare and unauthorised charges they made to my card. They've done nothing about compensation for wasted time or refunding me for the extra charge for picking the car up the following day due to their offices shutting early. Customer services have ignored emails for over a week on some occasions and even when I have phoned and been promised a reply the following day they have failed to do this. The branch staff seemed very dismayed at how awful the company as a whole were so I get the feeling it's well known within the company that their processes are dreadfully below par.

Terrible customer service at the Glasgow branch. Both on arrival and checkout the staff were extremely unhelpful and in some instances rude. Would never ever use again.

I recently rented a Nissan x trail from this company, we collected the car at 11.40 pm the guy who we dealt with was OK, we done the paperwork and he brought me outside to check the car, he looked all around it and it seemed perfect so I signed the paperwork, it was late and we had to travel from bristol to llanelli so we left, all we did was motorway driving and we had to take a back road diversion when leaving the car back as there was a tree down due to the recent storm, when we got back one of the sales guys checked the car and miraculously found a stone chip on the windscreen, I know it didn't happen when I had the car but he informed name it could cost between £60 and £300 "depending on if the repair company can fix it" and that he would let me know when he got an estimate, we were tight for time so I signed the relevant documents and left. I personally think it was done before we got it, because how could the first guy see it at 11.40, I'd like to know if anyone else was caught with this scam, we paid 86€ for the car plus we paid 52£ insurance and 10£satnav fee. I would never recommend these rip off chances to anyone, the guy who "found" the stone chip was a smarmy clown who blamed the bad roads, I will seek legal advice on this simply because I think it's a scam to get more money from people. The car was a Nissan xtrail mustard color we rented from the holiday Inn, beside bristol Airport, if anyone else was in a similar situation with this vehicle please let me know. Thanks
