Car hire in Southampton, nowhere near the airport, more like the other side of Eastleigh.. Easirent are complete scammers, always find additional damage that you honestly overlook when collecting the car. How the company owners and directors can sleep at night, ripping off cash from hard working customers, is beyond me. Karma will serve up sweet revenge...

Easirent is such a false statement, it should be illegal. There was nothing easy about the rental. DO NOT prepay a booking with Easirent. It's more prudent to set that same amount of money on fire. Cons: - Hour wait for the airport shuttle on pickup. - $500 deposit for rental car (which was 4x the cost of rental). - $75 reinstatement fee, due to being late on reservation (reinstatement of rental was initially rejected by manager. Had to threaten with lawyer before they allowed me to be extorted so I could get the car I booked). - Car was not only severely dirty, the windshield had a 32" crack, one bald tire, 1/2 tank of fuel, and poor A/C. - Car also had heavy bodywork damage - Three months later, the company has charged over $100 for three Florida tolls that we're incurred while I was in Canada or in transit in an airplane. Their own paperwork contradicts their claim that I incurred the tolls. Still waiting for toll refund - Nearly 3 weeks to receive draconian security deposit back on Credit Card. Pros: - If you like mazes, you're in luck! Their customer service system is one! - Are you the fighting type? You'll enjoy fighting to not be extorted, for the rental you already booked, and for money that was yours in the first place. As well as disputing tolls that happened while you were in another country. - Those that like renting wrecked cars, and those that are worse than anything they've ever owned, even as a teenager, Easirent has a fleet to accommodate your every need. - Waiting for the shuttle affords you quality time to catch up on a book, check your investments, or find another rental car company. I travel dozens of times per year for work, and have rented hundreds of cars over the years. This was, far and away, the worst experience and quality of car and service I have ever experienced. Do yourself a favor, avoid Easirent. Even if the price is attractive. It will cost you more in the long run.

A couple of weeks after having hired a car with Easirent I found out, only by receiving an alert from my bank, that Easirent tried to charge me money for what I later discovered it was a damage made to the car. Because the charge would exceed my credit card limit it didnt went through. I asked my bank to raise the limit, which took a few days, after what I called Easirent to ok the charge. A few weeks later I received a letter from a debt collector company asking me to pay for the same issue. Easirent took my money and at the same time sold my debt to a debt collector. Even if they did it before I paid them, didnt care to cancelled it. I hope this doesnt mean I have to pay extra money to the debt collector as they are asking for more than the initial charge was. Also I assume this will affect my credit score. Thank you very much Easirent, you seemed a dodgy company and now I have the confirmation. On top of everything their customer service is neither helpful nor polite.

Warning! Worst company I have ever dealt with. Absolutely a scam company. Desk in Dublin features a logo saying if you give us a good review on trustpilot we give you 5 euro off (immediately suspicious) as you havent even had a chance to find out what the company is like. Whilst we were there (a 2 and half hour stressful ordeal) several customers broke down in tears over extortionate charges. A few people seemed happy on arriving right until they told them the cost, (then many raised voices) tons of people waiting and everyone looking incredibly angry. A few customers stormed out without booking. Customer is never right, Recieved a booking conformation with listed charges which was increased upon arrival. Even after showing them the documentation they wouldnt give the price they previously stated in the email they sent. Made by excuses that their 'manager' was in a meeting and couldnt help, and they didn't have the 'authorisation' to give the listed price. Phone calls yielded different prices and they kept on asking for proof about the prices we called up about (they literally asked for a recording of the phone calls, who has those except them!?) and agreed with booking online. Asking specifically about extra charges on the phone we were assured multiple times that there was no extra fees to pay. However its a different story on arrival (when you have essentially no choice but to go ahead) your basically left feeling totally helpless and screwed over by the company (as was every other customer we saw there) Two people claimed to be the manager whilst we were there, they were both unprofessional argumentative and unhelpful. I highly highly highly recommend you have nothing to do with this company. Its simply not worth it spend the extra and go to enterprise avis or similar the price will actually work out cheaper from them after all the sneaky con work these guys do.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IT IS A CON!!!! We turned up to pick up our car in Orlando to be blackmailed into taking out a duplicate insurance with Easirent. We had our own insurance and everything required, however we were told by a very rude member of staff that if we didn't take out 'THEIR' Liability cover she would cancel the car booking. As we were in a foreign company with no other options or way to reach our next destination we had no option but to pay the additional 59.70 (which was more money than the actual car rental itself). When the car was brought round the state of it was truly appalling, the bumper was loose and falling off and the car was completely covered in scratches and dents. By this point we had spent so much time strongly objecting to the service given by Easirent and getting nowhere that we had to take what we were given. The inside was very dirty and had clearly not been cleaned, I have a multitude of photos and videos to evidence the huge amount of damage and the overall state of the car and the conversation with the staff member outlining that we were horrified with the position we had been put in. On attempting to return the car to Easirent it took us two hours to find the location of the office as the address details on all of the paperwork that we had been given were incorrect, we found a second address on our email correspondence that was also incorrect and our phones did not work in America to be able to search it on the internet or to be able to call anyone for help. When we finally found the office and complained about this the staff member simply stated 'oh yeah we moved months ago but no-one has changed the paperwork'. By this point we hoped that we could return the car, forget about the whole thing and that was the end of the dreadful experience but on our return to England we found that we had been charged an additional 30.65 for toll charges which had been accumulated AFTER we had returned the car!! We returned the car at 19:23pm and the toll charges were after 20:00pm, again, I have evidence of the time and date the car was returned. I have rung the customer service line and my phone call has never been answered. I have submitted feedback and asked for contact and not had a response. I have also emailed in response to the unjustified charges and requested an urgent response. I welcome a response by Easirent and the refund of my £90.35 that you conned me out of. The whole experience with Easirent has been absolutely appalling, the customer service has been disgraceful and one I hope never to repeat, I never write reviews but I was conscious that I had to warn people away from this company in an attempt to stop others from being conned as we were, or, from the stress of the experience spoiling your holiday too. Avoid this company at all costs!!!

I feel like I got well and truly fleeced by this company when I went to pick up a car at Newcastle airport. They required 1600 cleared on a credit card for 28 days or payment of 146 pounds on a rental of 43 pounds to lower an excess. A company designed to rip people off. Avoid at all costs. I cut my losses and learnt my lesson. Interestingly easycar.com act as agents for this company, which is somewhat confusing, can't do their brand any good. My rental number was gb544410870

********************UN-EasiRent********************* I hired a car from Easirent from Manchester City center branch. I have pre- booked the car and paid 20GBP (Super Saver pack) on Easirent website. On Pick up: On the day I went for collecting the car, the guy at the reception asked me to pay the 220 GBP again - on top of 20 GBP which was already paid. When I asked for the reason he said that he cannot provide the car without taking their own full insurance and external excess car hire insurance are not acceptable even though I'm ready to pay 1500 GBP deposit to get their SAVER pack. After long conversations he took my credit card and without a try, he told that it will not work in their machine and again tried hardest to hard sell their own insurance. As I disagree to take their insurance, he told that he is going to cancel my booking with NO refunds and any further complaints can be directly dealt with their head office. Finally I agreed to his offer of 131 pounds as I don’t want to waste my holidays. The story doesn’t end here: He added me to RELAX package which they claim as a package with Unlimited mileage, Zero deposit etc. and when I asked the staff to reconfirm it, he said that I need to pay another 30 GBP for unlimited mileage – 10 Per Day and 200 GBP deposit. Even at their office they advertise 7.99 or 8.99 as an upgrade option to unlimited mileage. Overall there was no transparency in the amount they charge. And interestingly he took my payments from the credit card which he earlier claimed as not working. I was given a car which is NOT similar to what I have booked, and told it was immaculate and asked me wait outside in the road for their staff. It was always long traffic queue before their office in Manchester City and after few minutes their staff came with a car and quickly jumped out of it with hazard lights on and asked me to pull off the car immediately. They clearly wanted me to not inspect properly and didn’t have any records of inspection (Like yellow/red receipt). And the car was filthy and full of dust and it smelt like a dozen of sweaty workers had been in it. On Drop: During return, the same guy who handed over the car came for the pick-up and he car ask me for the yellow report which they never gave me at the time of collection. Seeing his rude attitude, I went inside office and spoke to the guy who did the documentation and he also claimed that yellow report is given to me. Then I asked them to show me the carbon copy of report which they possess. He searched all over the office and told me they clean the office during weekend and hence misplaced somewhere or might me lost. Finally I requested for a proper acknowledgement letter for the car return, that every agency normally provides and staff told there is NO proof they usually provide during return and any outstanding amount from them will be refunded back in 7 days. I never agreed to that statement and after 30 mins of argument they simply print my booking slip and wrote that car was safely returned and signed underneath (And they don’t have an office seal). It is a company full of nasty surprises and there was no transparency in the documentation and amount they charge.

Vehicle damage scam. Charged for a dent I couldn’t even see, which the attendant went straight to as soon as I handed the car back. Also tried to keep my fuel deposit as I didn’t keep the receipt for filling up, even though the car was full. Avoid at all costs

My husband rented a small diesel aygo toyota , black and red on the 31st of march 2019. He was charged 666.00 which is not what the initial paperwork said. More hidden terms and conditions come out only after you have agreed to hire the car for what at first looks like cheap! He paid this 666 pounds and upon returning the car 14 days later. on the 14 day, we only got 95 pounds back a few days later. What is scandellous! apart from the charges is the fact that, they took 55 pounds from our account just 2 days ago. I have told our Bank that this I believe this is theft, fraud and I want something done about this company. I am emailing the Financial Ombudsman and the t.v programme watchdog also.....

Avoid this company, especially Easirent in Eastleigh (Southampton Airpott). You’ll pay the least initially, this is how they ‘win’ your business. It’s deception, as they run a damage on return scam. If you’ve taken out a hire and can’t cancel, make sure you spend time looking over the whole vehicle, take pictures and record damage, including the smallest marks and chips. They will fabricate details when you return the car with regards damage, so protect yourself. Best advice is to never use them.

I prepaid a car, and when I went to pick it up, they said sorry, we overbooked, there's no car. And that's all....I asked them to find me another car, but they don't have any. The customer service was more than ridiculous. The told me: call the agency where I booked the car, and ask them to give me another...it was 11 p.m...still waiting for my refund..it was 2 weeks ago. So I had to found a taxi to reach my destination, and another day another company to hire a car. My booking number: GB506125870

I guess that you may have been offered the cheapest car hire for your trip, it´s so cheap, almost unbelievable, but at the end of the day you will find that you have been charged for the most expensive car hire imaginal, the secret is to read the small print, but who does? you've booked your flights, booked your hotel, booked your car parking or & transfer, who reads the small print? no you don't, you put your trust in the company, but do not trust this company, you will be conned in the most delightful way to hand over your hard earned money for something that you don't understand until it´s too late.
