Customer service, does not exist, slow dispatch, tracking number's which don't work, 24 hr reply is a joke, nothing after 4 days, looks like my experience is just like nearly everyone else, vote with your feet, never buy off them again.

Not worth a one star! Placed an order 7 12am 7th Sept. got an E mail confirmation 11am, saying I would get a E mail when it was dispatched, this arrived 11 07am and I would be able to track my purchase, checked the next day, nothing there,tried next day still nothing,rang customer services the lady on line checked and told me It was still there but would be shipped that day,checked next day, not there, rang customer services again, the gentlemen told me it was still there but would be shipped that day, checked next day still not on yodel site, rang customer services they gave me a tracking number, checked next day number not recognised, rang yodel they told me they recognised my name and address but did not have the package, called Eckman customer services and was told they would sort it out and it would be shipped that night, checked 16th Sept.nothing on yodel rang customer services at Eckman again said it has not been scanned,after a long discussion I asked to speak to a Manager told she would pass the request on and I would receive a call within 48hrs,I didn't agree with her on that comment then asked her for my money back told I would have to wait until they investigate the problem. I lost my temper and would not recommend anyone to use this Company. I wish I had read the reviews on this Company.

What a shambolic company this is. Ordered goods 29th July 2016 and money was taken from my account the very same day. Goods received today 14th September 7 weeks after order placed and accepted, but still no replies to the several emails I sent them. Rang customer services but not on the 0844 number. I found another number on their website. Useless couldn't give me any information, only to say they don't take funds until goods depatched, they do! Was going to do a charge back through bank today and then received email from courier to say item delivered! NOT WORTHY OF ANY STARS. BUYER BEWARE

Returned my Eckman 36v Battery hedge cutter via Yodel in July that stopped working after 10 months use, after many phone calls and e mails to customer services it is now September. Still no replacement or repair. This company will sell you a product but if it goes wrong don't expect a replacement or repair. My advice is go to Screwfix or B&Q and save some money and if it goes faulty you can return the product and get a refund. By the way apparently they have a huge warehouse in Sittingbourne where your returns are dumped never to be seen again. One star as the hedge cutter looks good!!

Ordered a hedge trimmer online on 22,7,16 and paid in full. Expected an email informing me of a dispatch date but none came.After a few days I rang them, after being held in a queue for twenty mins, I was told that it had been dispatched and should be with me within 5 working days. It didn't arrive so rang again, waited in the queue again.This time told had problems with the ware house and only been dispatched that morning. I then asked for a tracking number and was given an incorrect one, phoned back again and given another-tracking number. Contacted Yodel who told me that they never picked up a parcel from Eckman, when I asked how come Eckman have a tracking number then, they told me they issue a tracking number when they are instructed to collect a parcel, but the parcel was never collected because it wasn't there! I then spent the next week phoning between yodel and Eckman to try and find the parcel, whilst Eckman did nothing but send a few emails! I eventually gave up and asked for a refund. I have since contacted trading standards and been told to try to get my money back through my bank with charge back. If any one out there is tempted to buy any thing through this company, please save your selves a lot of heartache and avoid this company like the plague that it is!

I ordered online goods on 10/08/16 and paid. I received advice that, on 12/08/16 they had despatched the goods, The goods had not arrived by 30/08/16 so I phoned. Their ".call centre." could not give me any information - the goods were allegedly held up in their warehouse due to "shipment problems" My research identifies a company run by disqualified (bankrupt) directors . It takes your money up front for goods, fails to deliver, promises refunds and uses the £multi-million cash for offshore scams, dodgy deals or drug imports. It deserves in-depth investigation by HMRC tax and Police fraud teams, as it should not be an online fraud.

Ordered a telescopic hedge trimmer and paid for next day delivery . Stayed in to receive it then called pm to find that it hadn't been sent. Waiting I think for a pair of safety specs. I was so cross to have wasted my time especially when they didn't bother to contact me to advise me of situation. Found that Customer Services staff seems to be poorly trained in customer skills until I had insisted to talk to someone "in charge". Was told no one in charge but after pointing out that if staff area working there has to be someone in charge. Eventually spoke to Tracey , a breath of fresh air who sounded sensible and knowledgeable. She sorted out the problem and the trimmer was received the next day. Mr Jonathan SWIFT, I am told is a Director. I would urge him to look daily at the reviews his company is receiving as almost all complaints are for customer service. The hedge trimmer is very efficient but heavy if using it with arms raised. It cuts through medium branches very well. I would recommend the trimmer but not the company.

I ordered a telescopic hedge trimmer from Eckman online which arrived with a bent securing screw and handle. There are two of these as part of the trimmer and both hold a section of the trimmer together so both are needed to have the unit work. It looked as though the parcel had been dropped and the part bent, which can happen but it is the customer service from Eckman that is very poor. I was asked to take a photo of the part and mail it to Eckman which I did. I heard nothing. I contacted them again and was told that it would be sent out asap. I have heard nothing. I have mailed them a third time to tell them that I have not been able to use the trimmer yet and that I expected the small part to have been sent out immediately. I informed them that I would be leaving an honest review of my experience with Eckman. Still waiting for the replacement part. Form your own opinion of their customer services if you are looking to order from them.

I never had a bad experience with online purchases until dealing with Eckman. I ordered some garden edging on 30/7/16 and it never arrived. I am currently trying to get my refund of £54.97. They are a despicable "company". I do not believe they have items to sell in their "warehouse". Do they even have a warehouse? I can see me having to go through my bank to get the money back. As someone else said they are brilliant liars over the phone. They need to be investigated by Trading Standards and Watchdog. DO NOT DEAL WITH ECKMAN!!

Last year bought a second 4 in 1 electric hedge trimmer and gave the first one, 3 years old, to my son-in-law which he is still using. Unfortunately the motor failed on the second with just a few days left on 12 month warranty. Contacted eckman who picked it up 3 days later and have replaced it NO QUIBBLES. This machine may not be as robust as others but then it is not as expensive. It is good value at a sensible price for the average gardener. Would recommend it and eckman to anyone. Excellent service.

This company is the absolute pits. It would seem, the first thing they teach their customer service staff to do is lie, and convincingly. Ordered and paid for an item on 31st July - a set of metal fence posts - which was supposedly despatched on the 3rd August, with a delivery time of 3 - 5 working days. More than a week later and nothing had happened. Called the customer services dept. about the problem, only to be told to ignore the emailed despatch notice, as they are generated automatically three days after any purchase and that my item was still in the warehouse awaiting collection by the courier. The member of staff than told me she was very sorry about the delay and would have my order expressed for next day delivery. Yet another week went by and still nothing had arrived. More money spent on yet another phone call to their customer services dept. and this time I was told the item would definitely be delivered on the 18th, which has since come and gone, but with no sign of my order. (Admittedly, she didn't say the 18th of which month.) It is now more than three weeks since the original order was placed and having spent even more money in calling the company yet again, the latest news is that my item is now with the courier, but the customer service team member I spoke with was unable to give me either their name or number for me to contact them directly to ask where the dickens my order has got to. When dealing with Eckman it really is a matter of "buyer beware" - and my advice to any potential new customers is, don't deal with them at all. Plain and simple, Eckman sucks!

I bought an Eckman extending hedge trimmer as a special offer through the Daily Mail and it worked reasonably well although I probably only used it about twice a year. After three years and approx. six times of using it, the battery refused to charge and, as I was unsure whether the fault lay with the battery or the charger, I sent an email to Eckman via the 'contact us' button on their website to obtain advice or alternatively purchase a new battery/charger. I followed this up this email with another having received no response. With no reply again I then changed tack and wrote to Eckman's sales email address. Still no reply. I have now sent four emails to them over a period of nearly a month and they can't be bothered to reply, however, they did send me an email asking if I wanted to buy any of their product range so someone has seen my email address! If you are looking for a company that will provide a quality after sales service I suggest you look elsewhere. I'm going to buy another hedge trimmer from a different company as I can't be bothered to keep up this one sided dialogue.

Bought and wheeled brushcutter for my holiday home and payed for next day delivery, didnt happen, phoned and was told would refund next day charge, hardly the point! Product eventually arrived, assembled as instructions and wheel fell off at first bump, threads stripped. Had an imminent ferry crossing i modified and repaired myself. On first use I could not get the machine to stay running without partial choke, suggesting and air leak, After approximately 15-20 minutes use the engine seized solid. On my return to England I emailed Eckman re the problem and, like may other reviewers have had no response! I can only assume A cheap Chinese product and a poor company, I will seek money recovery via legal means or my card company, I would suggest avoiding this company

UPDATE I placed a review about a week ago stating I had been charged £7.58 by my phone provider which referred to 0844 calls to Eckman regarding my initial purchase. I am pleased to say the company read my review and replied quickly with an apology regarding the phone costs stating they would forward a cheque to the value of the phone calls. They have been true to their word and the cheque arrived today. Also they will be reviewing the use of 0844 numbers which will please some of the bad reviewers on this site. This proves that maybe this company is taking notice of customer's reviews and I hope in future they will have picked their socks up by realising bad reviews have a real effect on sales. I wish they would change their carrier!!!! but they have contract with them and I do not expect this to change yet? Overall they have addressed my issues but I wish they had got it right from the time of the original order.

I placed an order with Eckman for£130 months ago took payment but still waiting for items despite several emails they have not contacted me .APPAULING COMPANY Trading Standards should investigate them.

Ordered railings had conformation email, did not deliver, phoned and was told part of order not available promised to send what was in stock, as 1 item would not be in stock for another 2 months, once again nothing turned up phoned again was told it would be urgently dispatched and once again nothing turned up phoned again told it had'nt been dispatched and would put a request for dispatch but could'nt guarantee that it would be sent so i've requested money back.Poor communication no email or phone call to let me know what was happening. I have since read some reviews and it is possible I might have to ask a colleague of mine (who is a solicitor) to get involved if my money is not returned

Ordered a gull sonic scarer on 28/7/2016. Received dispatch details on 3/8/2016 with tracking number. Tried tracking order no recognition of order. Tried to e-mail Eckman cant get on that part of website.I refuse to call a premium number to sit in a que at MY cost and still not recieve my order. THIS IS THE WORST INTERNET COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALWITH. Feels like i have been taken in by proffessional SCAM artists. IF YOU VALUE YOUR CASH AVOID HIS OMPANY

Ordered an item online for next day delivery. Item never arrived. Emailed Eckman a dozen times no response to any emails. Called their customer services twice, sat in a huge queue paying 0844 call rates. Both times they said they would refund but never did. My bank had to intervene and money refunded after nearly 3 weeks.

I Paid for telescopic hedge trimmer on 24th july. I got email on 25th saying it had been despatched. 3 weeks later still waiting. I am now getting on to visa to initiate Chargeback to try and get my money back as they will not respond to numerous emails and calls. SHOULD HAVE READ REVIEWS. STAY MILES AWAY FROM THESE GANGSTERS
