I am writing to express my concern and disappointment regarding a charge of £1,494.95 that was unjustly taken from my account following a non-fault accident on March 22nd.
Despite my insurance provider, Aviva, being involved, this payment should have been charged to the appropriate third parties rather than to me. I have already raised this issue with the Financial Ombudsman, but I would like to give Enterprise the opportunity to resolve this matter directly.
I urgently request that you arrange for an immediate refund of the £1,494.95 to my account. Can you help me to sort this out as quickly as possible?

“I have a motability car which had to go into the garage for repair after an accident which was not my fault. So a rented car was arranged for me. The rental car was not like for like, it was so low getting in and out of was a joke.
I left the rental car at the garage where I picked my car up from, BIG MISTAKE!!!
I had £101 taken from my account without my consent! Apparently when the rental car was collected it had a cracked headlight so I was charged the access for repair. I hadn’t damaged that car, so be aware of making sure the rental car is returned in the condition you got it in.
Enterprise will try and charge you for whatever they can get out of you!!!”
“If you wanna be late for a funeral and deal with incompetence rent period but if you would like the car that you reserved on time and professionals to serve, you do not do not do not rent here. This is your warning. They are rude. They are unprofessional. The young lady helped me didn't even get the reservation. Put in the computer when I ask for a print out at time of reservation made. She told me the printer was broke, which was a blatant lie.She just did not know what she was doing when I called corporate to complain that the car was not ready.Corporate said that the reservation was never made, which means she didn't put the reservation in correctly.So to sum up, do not rent from here.This is your warning”
“I have rented cars from Enterprise for many years. DON’T ever modify your reservation! If you do, you’ll end up paying more just like you made a new reservation. My plane was a late night flight that was delayed 1 1/2 hrs so I modified my arrival time through their app to make sure I’d still have my car. It only cost me $100 to do that. But I didn’t find that out until I showed up to pick up my car. Even showing them my original rental confirmation didn’t change their mind. I was told it would be corrected by 5 different customer representatives on the phone but to no avail. I’ve spent thousands with them over the years but they are losing my business by saying they would correct the problem and then were unwilling to do so later.”
“I went to enterprise in garden city because they said they had vehicles available. When I arrived they said they had nothing until tomorrow and there was no way to get a car. I called the 1800 number because it was an insurance claim car a total loss…the lady on the phone says because of that they will find me a car and call me back. I did not get a call back so I called back and they said yes we have vehicles available you can pick it up at 3:00 so I proceeded back to enterprise and NO Vehicle. I was turned away AGAIN. So I give it about four days schedule another pick up this time different location and made sure that they had vehicles they said yes. So I get an Uber up there when I arrive they said there is a 400.00 deposit and they do not do insurance claims. So I said I will get it for one day the and they wanted to charge me 75.00 for a basic car and a 400.00 deposit. So with all that I said no and had to get another Uber. So in dealing with enterprise I am out already about 60.00 in Uber because this company can not get it together! DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS AWFUL COMPANY WITH NOOO CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!”
“I should've read the reviews before I came to this place and ended up stranded on the side of the road in front of a motel 6 as a 5’3 100 lb woman. I called the enterprise in Atlanta on courtland ave 4 different times asking if it was okay that I picked up the car with my paper temporary Maryland license because mine was stolen. They told me 4 different times that that was okay, seeing that I had booked my rental through my Maryland insurance. Today I go to pick up the car and they said they "can't help me." They said I have to pick up the car using a physical license which is funny because their corporate office said that out of state paper licenses are fine as long as you have another form of proof which I did, I had a passport and Georgia school ID.
I told the woman at the desk that I spoke with a man on the phone THIS morning and she told me that was impossible because no men work there but as I was sitting outside stranded a male manager came out to show another customer a car.
I spoke with customer service on the phone and they told me they were horrified about what I went through and would contact me the next day to bring me a car. It’s been a week and i’ve called them several times and they have been absolutely no help at all. I missed my family vacation because of this company and they’re not willing to offer a single compensation to try to make this right.
I have never experienced this level of unprofessionalism from the two woman at the desk, the male manager who I guess was hiding in the back throughout the entire situation or their customer service team.
This is a horrible company that doesn't have a single regard for the safety of their customers, left me stranded on the side of the road even though I brought with me all of the necessary paperwork I was told to bring. Karma is real though and they'll get theirs eventually.”
“Terrible Terrible service ignorant employees. No type of customer service skills. We live I. The same community as the North Lauderdale location. I'm sorry but they need to Shut IT down. 3 time we have attempted to rent a vehicle and was told yes the have a mid sized car to spend 1 hour each time to be told they only have a roller skate sized vehicle left. Please take care of this location asap! They are pulling our community down. Employees are very rude with no type of appreciation for people and no apologies for always making patrons unhappy”
“Turned in my rental car due to an accident. Paid the extra insurance coverage out of my pocket for 10 days on top of what the other person's insurance paid since it was their fault so enterprise made a killing on my rental. Then two weeks later, I receive an invoice for tolls incurred that included a service charge. Found out it is from a 3rd party that contracts with Enterprise to assess tolls to Enterprise customers. I live near the state line where there are two toll bridges across the state line. There are no toll booths and all my cars have responders to pay automatically at the cheapest rate every month on a credit card. The invoice for the tolls from Enterprise came with no dates and times that I crossed these bridges only the dates of my rental. Enterprise has a transponder on all their vehicles so I am certain they are being charged the cheapest toll rate but then charge customers more. Didn't have a choice but to rent from Enterprise as this is the only company offered by the other insurance company for a car rental. Will not be renting from Enterprise in the future especially living so close to toll bridges.”

“Enterprise on clinton hwy knoxvill. I had a insurance rental from enterprise n got the car n no contrack on the car so after 2 weeks call them about is the return of the car n was told im still good n response from insurance n days later on june 18 called again n same response n still good so i didn’t get any reply from them so its still good but on july 3 got a text that the car needs to be returned coz it expired june 26 n got charged $227.?? For the extra days which they should know when i called but wasn’t told n i guess they need to take extra money since i have my catd on file with them n we are in their mercy so i called n yhe manager miss bree said they can’t do anything n i need to call the insurance instead. “Absolute worst car rental experience in 40 years. Took over an hour to get our car, they had no stock so we downgraded, 45 mins into driving we were overwhelmed with the smell of cigarettes. Called the Matamoras PA location we rented from for over 2 hours, no one picked up. Enterprise 855 number said driver to Newark airport to switch out cars. Drove the 90 mins to Newark to be told, Enterprise customer service lies to you to get you off the phone, We cant switch. So still stuck with a car that reeks of cigarettes and we have to drive for 4 days now! DO NOT RENT FROM ENTEPRISE!”

I had to cancel every thing I had planned for two week. I had to miss a family event and visit with my 94 year old aunt. To say I was disappointed is an under statement. “I made a reservation using Costco travel for a local office. None of the 3 local offices were able to fulfill my reservation due to low inventory yet I was allowed to make a reservation as if they had vehicles available. I only found out when I called to see if my vehicle was ready- not sure they would have bothered notifying me beforehand.”

“No one was at the location to open when I had a reservationfornthe morning. This happened to me twice. Now today I decided to give them a third chance. Booked the reservation online. Took a Lyft to get the car. Get there and this smug kid told me they called to tell me they couldn't provide a car. No one called or spoke to me or left me a voice-mail. So I wasted money in 2 lifts and ended up without a rental. NO MORE CHANCES FROM ME”

Received a phone call from Texas regional many named Jared July 24, 2024. He contacted me and let me know I am only not at fault, but I will get deposit back and he will handle this situation 👇🏽 to make sure.y insurance isn't being charged either. Returned the vehicle on the 29th of July. And now Jared is not answering. Or returning my calls. Enterprise has filed a claim and went back on their word. This is very shady and scam like a situation that was going to be taken care of and you trust the person to keep their word. Even the contact number given and no responses or call back.
Rented a vehicle June 27th with damages on the Nissan Altima. The customer service provider did mention these damages on the car are notated and I am good to go. I trusted this location and the person who handled my vehicle transaction would be honest.
I declined to have any protection on this car because I am fully covered by insurance.
There was a tiny circular crack at the bottom windshield as I drove off the lot. Not paying it no mind because the provider already assured me damages of this vehicle is notated.
July 23rd I came to the car to see the crack had expanded directly in front of the driver side. I called immediately and asked about the notated crack in the window and let them know this crack has expanded. The woman I spoke to let me know they will contact me back, she will notify the manager. Three hours later I am coming out of my appointment and the crack has now expanded to the middle of the entire windshield. I called them back immediately. Let them know I have not received a phone call back and three hours later it has expanded. I spoke to the previous woman, "the phone call dropped" and I never received a call back, I had to call back twice plus be on hold for a bit before a male picked up. He let me know he can expand a crack and I will be responsible for the crack because I did not pay for the $50/day protection and I am liable.
My confusion and frustration set in because I was told everything was notated, now I am being told it wasn't. I am then calling to receive answers and when I do it's stating you should've spent money on a protection that would be over $1000 then I would be good. Mind you they quoted me $400 is what I will be paying for this notated damage that worker confessed and said will expand with heat, but I am reliable because I shouldn't have trusted this guy who said it's notated nor got into a vehicle with a crack in it because if it expands, then they are going to blame you versus taking responsibility. And by the way we are going to charge $1000+ in protection or come off $400 in damage 😔. Very disheartening.
I requested the manager. The manager let me know if it's 6 inches or less then I'm in the clear. But after that I am responsible. I asked about my insurance and was told we cut out the middle man and just Bill you. Like what's the purpose of me having insurance if you are going to cut them out versus filing a claim with them. Straight confusion and made me feel this is a way to become money hungry as they brought up the protection should've been taken. Even though no damage to the vehicle has been done. Just an expansion of a previous damage that was not my fault. I let the manager know I have photos from the time I picked up the car. To the first call to the store about the expansion to the last call made about the even more expanded crack.
This is frustrating when I trusted this company, the same way they trust me to bring it back safely. I hope I can get this resolved without money coming out of my pocket. They can keep the deposit even though that should be refunded too. I won't be coming back to enterprise because this is truly a mistreatment of a client.

“PLEASE DO NOT RENT a car from this company I got a vehicle from them that wasn't running right when I got it then it quit running,had to get them to bring me another vehicle and they said the first one had water in the tank so now they are wanting me to pay them $4047.79 for whatever a new motor wouldn't cost that much...plus I never put any gas into the vehicle before it quit running from the way it's looks they done this to several people so if you need a vehicle go to another place this place is a big joke....they need to change the name from enterprise to SURPRISE”
