“I made a reservation on Monday 06/10/2024 9:55 am. I received written confirmation of my reservation. Tuesday 06/11/2024 at 4:50 pm received call that they would not be honoring my 10 day rental, as they had no cars at that location and would not help find a car at another location. I recontacted the reservation department that transfered my reservation to another location at a $200 increase in cost (again with written reservation sent to me). Not trusting them after what happened the day before I called the new location and was told no cars til next week. I needed the car on Thursday 06/13 2024 to go pick up my 89 year old father and move him to assisted living in my state. I have had to make other arrangements to make a round trip of 1200 miles without the rental that was planned and confirmed to move my father and his belongings. Do not trust this company.”
“**Beware of Enterprise tricks and Excess charges for any damage**
I rented a car from Heathrow branch for couple of days and on my way to return it on 21/04/24, my child vomited due to motion sickness. It was an unfortunate situation, and when I reached the branch to return car, they helped provide tissue paper, cleaning towel and liquid. I used them to clean most of the vomit but the branch manager said I will have to pay £75 for Full Valet service due to possible residue or odour, which I paid on the spot. Everything else was fine, and invoice was issued and matter was resolved by branch. 50 days later, on 11/06/24, I noticed a charge on my credit card for £302.92 and an email from their 'Damage Recovery Unit' with an invoice for Damage £250.00, Admin Fees £78.00 and Loss of Use £49.92 with 'Damage Description: Spare Tyre/inflator Kit : Other-FULL VALLET'.
This was SHOCKING!!! How can they come back after 50 days, invent more damage and charge such a hefty amount from my credit card which was unauthorised. I called their helpline 4 times, where first time I was promised case handler will contact me next day. On receiving no call, I rang next day, a gentleman named Ben was helpful and informed me to hold while he call branch to check as he didn't have information that I have paid £75 and resolved the matter. While holding, my call dropped. I called again and spoke to Kelvin who ask me to send invoice but before providing an email, hung up on me. On 4th attempt, call was routed again to Kelvin who mentioned Ben spoke to Heathrow branch and that Enterprise will refund the amount charged and I should expect to get it back in next 7-10 days after case handler Cassidy release it. All calls were recorded. An hour or so later, I received call from Cassidy saying I have to pay additional amount for damage stated above. Clearly she didn't spoke to branch or her colleagues Ben and Kelvin.
This is SHOCKING from Enterprise. They charge for damage after invoices are settled. One part of business say something, other something else. They clearly seem to be trying to make profit from by hurting loyal customers, hoping customer won't notice or won't fight the fraudulent claim.”
“Do not rent from this dysfunctional, shady, company. I recently paid over $3k for flights to a funeral in Minnesota. We picked up our rental car, paid for the road side assistance insurance and drove an hour south of the airport. We parked the car for the evening. We woke early to prepaid for the funeral. We go to start the rental car and the car battery is completely dead. We couldn’t even lock the vehicle due to lack of power. We had to catch a ride to the funeral with other family members. On the way to the funeral I called their road side assistance. They scheduled someone to come help with the car later that day. At 1:00 pm, during the middle of the funeral someone from enterprise is calling. They cancer road side assistance because I did not answer the phone. I was in the middle of my uncle’s funeral!!!! I called them back after the grave side burial only to be told I needed to sit by the car and wait for someone. It would be 1 to 4 hours. I spent $3k to get to MN and needed to be with family member. Not sitting by some car in a parking lot. I spent over 4-hours on the phone trying to get help. NOTHING!!!!! Enterprise Rent A Car is a complete joke. Stay far away from them. I still have not heard one word from them. I had to fly out early the next day with no working vehicle. We had to catch a ride with family. Enterprise is still trying to charge me $250 for NO SERVICE!!!!! I will NEVER rent from this crooked company again!!!!”
“Well I have had a reservation for 2 weeks due to car wreck claim and they continue to lie saying Wednesday they will have a car then another week I call and they said it be Wednesday before they have something call today n still no car they put cash paying people in cars because it's more money in there pocket insurance pays 26$ a day people pay 80$ a day”
“Do not rent from Enterprise/Alamo. Rented a car in Zurich that was damaged from a previous accident. Dents on both side of the vehicle. The agent accepted the car on return without any comments. Two month later I got an advice that I caused damage to the left rear wheel and charged my credit card a whopping CHF518.32 which almost as much as the whole rental cost in the first place. The picture provided mirrored the same damage that already existed on the right rear wheel. My complaints were blown off as unsubstantiated. I’ll call those Mafia tactics to milk every customer with the same car. I frequently rent a car in Switzerland a few times a year for 10 - 14 days at a time. I’m so disgusted by this episode that I will never rent from Enterprise/Alamo again”
“The guy at enterprise in Southampton, NY was a complete scumbag. I was quoted a daily rate of $43 back in March 24, but I looked at the bill when home I was charged $61 a day. Of course I called back and got the big runaround. Finally he said I would receive a $54 refund. This never happened. I called back every month asking about my refund. When I never got it I called Chase bank and lodged a complaint. Now it is June 11, CHASE just called and told me I would not ever get a refund.
In addition, as I was driving away THE FIRST DAY, he told me about a great gas deal.....well that cost me an extra $17. I could have easily filled the tank for about $4 as I only drove around town and used a quarter of a tank. DO NOT USE THIS RIP OFF SERVICE.”

“Just had the worst customer service experience of my life at Enterprise in Santa Cruz and then with multiple service agents on the phone. I have been renting exclusively from Enterprise for more than a decade, went to pick up my confirmed reservation this afternoon and was told I was on a "do not rent" list. So they didn't rent me the car, said they didn't know why I was on such a "list" and 4 different agents on the phone couldn't tell me either. Insane. Well, doesn't matter to me now, because I will never rent from this ridiculous company again!”

Agreed on a $120 for 1 day rental and end up paying almost $620. Lisa (3rd rep i had spoke to so far) said that in the receipt it was stated that the tank wasn’t filled all the way up and so that makes sense that i was charged this amount. 🤯 This is outrageous! from $120 to $620.”
“I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the service I received from Enterprise during my recent car rental experience. I booked a full-size vehicle through my insurance, but upon arriving to pick it up, I was informed that no full-size cars were available. Instead, I was given a small-size vehicle, which does not meet my needs.
I accepted the smaller vehicle due to the urgency of needing transportation, but I have been trying to rectify this situation for the past 3 to 4 days. Despite numerous calls and emails to Enterprise, I have received no response. This lack of communication and support is highly unprofessional and frustrating.
I have an important trip out of town coming up and urgently need the full-size vehicle I originally reserved, as I will be traveling with 5 people. The disregard for my situation and the failure to provide the appropriate vehicle is unacceptable. I feel completely ignored and undervalued as a customer.
I am requesting immediate assistance to resolve this issue. Please have someone contact me as soon as possible to arrange for a suitable replacement vehicle.”
“I reserved a pick up truck on 5/28/24 for 6/1-6/3 I reserved a pick up truck because that is what i wanted and needed. I was notified 20 mins before pick up time they didn't have the vehicle and it would be late (never mind appt times) They finally bring me a vehicle 1.5 hours late and its a jeep gladiator ( not what I wanted) this vehicle had no gas, needed air in the tires, smelled of cigars and the back window didn't work. When we returned the vehicle everyone was too busy to ewven acknowledge us, so we left the keys on the counter as an employee directed us we snapped a couple pics and left. the next day after noon they call and leave a voicemail wanting to know when I'm returning the vehicle. Maybe I'm crazy but one would think that monstrosity of a vehicle should have been seen and where did these new keys that weren't here before come from but clearly that's not how enterprise does business. I finally speak to a woman that now wants to know when I'm returning 2 vehicles, I'm put on hold and left for 15 mins then hung up on, I call back to no answer, call again Ben answers tell me immediately to hold, leaves me on hold 10+ mins and I'm hung up on again. At this point i am furious, the trip was horrible and we have to go again and had to bring a second vehicle because I want given what i asked for to begin with. I was rude to the lady on the phone because I felt like no one was listening or helping and I have yet to hear any apology but yet I was banned by the Reginal manager for being upset that they did NOTHING right and the only reason they did anything is because I told them I was going to call and complain every day until this was fixed. they gave me one day rental but no apology. Banned or not id' rather cut my leg off than deal with the very condensing ass that is the management team in Mount Airy NC, and his reginal manger who did NOT tell me his name. At this point not only will I not use your services but the hundreds of people that frequent my local music festival will no longer use your service, maybe you don't give a damn about this customer but I am loud and vocal and will tell anyone that will listen how horrible enterprise is and I will help them pay to go elsewhere!”
“I reserved a vehicle with enterprise car rental at the Bentonville/Fayetteville, AR Airport through my companies travel agent on the same day I was traveling. I received an email with a confirmation number for the dates I was reserving the vehicle. When I got to the counter, they refused to rent me a vehicle due to their company policy. They do not allow online same day rentals. Needless, to say I was annoyed and frustrated at the lack of customer service and the ridiculous company policy. Of course, he told me to go to Avis or HERTZ. They were booked. Enterprise needs to rethink their company policy. Fortunately, I was able to Lyft from the airport to the hotel. Unfortunately, I will have to Lyft to and from the worksite to the hotel. However, Enterprise inefficient policy clearly lacks care and concern for consumers. Make a note on the companies online booking informing customers they are unable to reserve a vehicle online the same day with Enterprise Car Rental. Apparently, they can’t change their policy or system.”
