I am absolutely disgusted by Esure. I've had both my car insurance and home insurance for many years with esure. My previous year's renual was just under £300. With another year's loyalty bonus and another year's no claim bonus, I was expecting my renual this year to be around the £250 mark. To my absolute horror, this years renual has shot up to well over £500, for no apparent reason. After thinking there might have been some sort of mistake, I contacted Esure directly and was told it was due to inflation. Its funny that on price comparison sites my quotes are well under £300! What an absolute shambles of a company. I feel totally let down by Esure having been with them for so many years. What a disgrace of a company.

0verpriced increased price hikes over 3 years the last price increase been by 25% I eventually got motivated to look at other companies. I found a far superior policy which included fully comp instead of the party also included a courtesy car and breakdown cover this price was £260 compared to esure quotes of 520 for third party fire and theft absolutely disgusting

Terrible company, same can be said for their partner Rye Street Group who returned my vehicle with multiple faults including engine, heating/fan & oil and took no responsibility. Vehicle left my property with none of these faults present which was verified by the picture taken by the collect driver. Left with a car I can’t use following excess payment Avoid at all costs

Avoid this insurer at all costs - they are dodgy as! Our BMW recently had its catalytic converter stolen. We reported this to the police, then made a claim with Esure. Having the converter removed deemed the car undrivable, therefore the car sat in its parked spot on the street until they collected it for assessment. During this time, the side of the car facing the road was not visible to us - thus any new damage there wasn't noticed. Two or three days later, when someone from ESure came to collect the car, we noticed someone had swiped it down the road-facing side. We're not sure how this happened - whether it was at the same time as the theft, or due to someone on the street subsequently sideswiping it (possible, as our street gets busy in the mornings). The police also didn't make note of this damage when they initially inspected the car following the converter theft - I'm sure they would have included this in their report if it was there (though it was late at night and it's possible they missed it). My husband reported this new damage to Esure and explained the situation. He was advised by Kieran on 4th July that this damage would be added to our claim. (Esure has have a recording of this advice.) We later received a call from ESure saying their estimated market value of our car was £2890 (!), and the cost of the repairs would be £2223. On this basis, they deemed the car a total loss. We were unsure how Esure arrived at this market valuation? Previously, they valued the car at £4853. It was in very good bodily condition: a few paint chips and scratches on trims of bumpers (all superficial), as well as a cracked panel over the front left wheel. We pressed Esure on why there was now such a dramatic reduction in our car's value?? Following that call (and because we believe they initially mistakenly deducted the cost of the catalytic converter repairs from the new car value!!!) they upped the car's market valuation to max £3800. The reason? The NEW sideswipe damage was categorised by them as PREVIOUS DAMAGE, so they therefore deducted that repair cost from the new car value! Doing this is illegal according to the financial ombudsman's website. (Also, if it was pre-existing damage as they insinuated, there was no reason for us not to report it to them beforehand as we were already covered for this kind of damage!) Second, I challenged Esure that the new valuation they'd assigned meant, as per the wording of their contract, the car was no longer a total loss (new value of £3800 vs repairs of £2200). Given I couldn't replace my car for the new market value they'd offered, I instructed them to please fix the car. Ian from the engineers team insisted that no, they weren't prepared to do this, because Esure had already decided the car was a total loss based on the first valuation! He also insisted that Esure had behaved legally... Come on guys - you don't have a leg to stand on here. Both your policy wording, as well as voice recordings between Kieran and my husband on 4/7 will attest to this. This case will be a no-brainer for the ombudsman. Will update gere again as this case goes forward. TL;DR: AVOID AVOID AVOID, this insurer is shonky as hell. Zero stars if I could.

In a major crash 10 weeks ago was offerred medical help by esure and specifically Physio for my multiple injuries. These were acknowledged in the medical report their doctor who examined me and after 5 week they are now saying they are not going to give me physio and have withdrawn from dealing with me. Not sut sure what that means legally but they are clearly panicking and are worried about spending any money. They wont speak to me they have just left me injured and dont care. Tell you one thing then walk away Can you afford to be off your work without any money coming in. Thats what ESURe do to you. Can you afford to deal with ESURE? LIARS CHEATS COWARDS never heard of anything like it but look at the reviews on Trustpilot and Smartmoney people the reviews are frightening. Now pursuing the driver who hit me through the local sheriff court system. I thought that was why you had insurance Avoid Esure at all costs because it may make you very poor

ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE I was injured by a Esure customer and Esure called me at home and admitted full liability the same day. I was hit at 50mph.They agreed to fix my car 10 weeks ago and its still not fixed. More importantly and despite their medico expert putting in a report that i need physio to 11 injuries. But still they have not sent me for physio. I phone very day and ask for someone to help me and they say that person isnt in or has logged out. I was told by Simon Marsh that they had a panel of hospitals and physios which i could access once i was examined by their medical expert. That was 5 weeks ago and they have delayed in helping me This is shambolic they just keep ignoring you and hope you will go away they are burying their head in the sand. They have left me no option other than to take the person who smashed into me to court. I feel sorry for the driver but his insurance company will not speak to me and he is now going to court unless hes got a lot of money to pay me off he has made a big mistake dealing with esure it could cost him the ability to get a loan or mortgage in future and he is only 17. Look at Esure company trading very worrying Avoid Esure at all costs it is not good for your financial physical or mental health Scott Friery

Called today 4th day in a row and got michelle from a different department? How many people have they got answering the phone if i get the same person 4 days in a row. Deeply worrying. I asked for Charlene who is my file handler iv spoken to her once. Michelle took pity on me and had emailed her and she had said and i quote "she has withdrawn her services" so it would appear this poor girl has been getting so much hassle she has chucked it. Sad as this may be i now dont have anyone dealing with my claim. Despite being hit by a 17 year old who had run through a red light light and then gone down a one way system the wrong way and hit me at50mph. Im lucky to be alive. Their medical man has told me to get physio on my multiple injuries but no information of where and when. Does anyone know anybody in Esure and can they find out for me. This lot are a total shambles. They have had my car for nearly 10 weeks still not fixed dont understand that because its costing them a fortune, i would have thought a company that watch every penny that they woudnt be allowing that. Despite clearly being a victim here and they have taken full liability. I cant get through to anyone except Michelle, as nice as she is, she cant help me. My serious advice to anyone here is to not deal with Esure because if your giving them money they ask you to give a positive review but the non invited factual reviews from people like me show the reality. If you get involved in any kind of claim you cannot get anyone specifically. I have phoned them more than 50 times and Michelle who can help me is the only person i have been able to speak to more than once and that by accident. They throw a whole load of names at you who clearly dont exist. I had a file handler called Simon Marsh and he has phoned me once i have phoned what he told me was his direct number more than 50 times Ponzi Scheme Scott Friery

Avoid this very dangerous organisation They have screwed up my boss he was hit by a young driver and his car has been off the road for months and he is badly injured and cannot come to work We have tried to contact ensure on his behalf and using his claim number. They are not interested they cannot transfer you too anybody. It’s like the whole company is a figment of your imagination. There are all these names but you can’t get them He has sent dozens of emails and nobody ever comes back to him They owe him money for foreign hospital visits and have offered him no treatment or payment for treatment They seem to want this to go to court despite admitting full liability If you want cheap car insurance and know your never going to make a claim this is your company but everybody else stay away stay away stay away

I have spent the last 4 days trying to contact someone in customer support, several emails and several hours listening to dreadful hold music and I still have not managed to speak to someone about my claim. I received a text message and an email within a few hours of making a claim telling me circumstances indicate I was at fault, despite the fact I feel it was clearly not my fault. They have made this decision without speaking to me or hearing my side of events. Dreadful service. Avoid at all costs.

9th March car drove into my wall. Took several attempts to engage esure who ignored me before eventually telling me to get 2 builders quotes but they still ignored my request for information on what would happen next / the process which would get my wall repaired. It took over a day's worth of effort over a period of 4 weeks, contacting 13 builders, to get two quotes (main reason for not quoting was the job was to small), I sent the quotes to esure and again asked them to tell me what happens next who then ignored me, despite now requesting that they handle my case as a formal complaint. Two week's later I've just been contacted by Sedgewick Validation Services who say they have been appointed by Esure to "assess the damage". They had no other information from esure, including the 2 quotes I had sent to esure, they suggested that I show the quotes to their assessor as it might help them in "assessing the damage". I will never, ever take insurance with esure!

I am currently waiting a claim which I thought was going g through to be told ( after waiting 2hrs 45 mins on the phone that none of my uploads hadn’t gone through and to disregard the text of it being written off , the settlement offer , and asking for my finance settlement . I’ve been waiting a week with no correspondence and the first call being over and hour and this last one today . 2 hours 49 mins . I was told a link would be sent so I would have to start again with my claim and uploading pics and the link hasn’t been sent so I may have to call again and wait another 3 hours . I sent 3 emails which have never been answered or acknowledged .
