I bought a diamond Emma mattress with furniture village and you have ignored my complaint. Emma Mattresses should be refunded if it is not comfortable or correct. This one is like hard cheese one side and marshmallow the other after 2 nights then I turn it around and that side goes very hard and the other side soft it’s very painful to sleep. I just had an accident which caused back problems so I threw out my original Mattress and bought the Emma from you, it doesn’t show on photos. If you don’t reply to my complaints I will have to buy a new mattress somewhere else and I will take you to court and you will pay. I will shortly seek legal help with ombudsman and may take you to court even if it costs me £10,000. Your not getting away with it.

Truly dreadful - the product (a set of Dinning chairs) delivered was faulty yet it took an age for them to agree this despite pictures sent (they eventually sent someone round who agreed it was faulty), the follow up customer service poor, no one takes any responsibility and having placed an order in April 2022 I still don't have the order in September 2022

Horrible customer service! They have been giving me the run around for 10 months to deliver a part of my purchase! At the end of the day, The manager just accepted to give a refund without a simple apology! They should be ashamed of their service.

READING Furniture Village We bought a bed from the Reading Branch a year ago. ( May2021) The Manager Steve, and the gentleman who helped us ( Beds and Mattresses Section Upstairs) in deciding our requirement, the right bed for us and also at the pay desk James were excellent in Customer Service. We also bought a sofa bed and we are enjoying the comfort of both. We recommend anyone who wants a Goodnight sleep to visit Furniture Village. (Reading) Thank you.

Never experienced such bad service. Ordered a 3m table in January and they delivered a different 2m table in June. After telling them of their error they blamed the sales person in-store who had now conveniently left. After saying the new table is 'now in the warehouse' and will be 'imminently delivered', they suddenly say in September that the table is no longer manufactured. So 9 months and still don't have what I ordered. The reviews suggest this is a rather common problem... AVOID!

Do not buy from furniture village their after sales service is shocking. I bought a table and paid extra for an extension leaf which cost nearly £1,000 in total. When we unboxed the items the extension leaf was a completely different colour and the grain tan in the opposite direction. We were convinced they had sent the wrong extension leaf. When I called them they were awful. They did not offer to replace or refund my money. I sent photos and they advised that the colour difference is normal. I’m sorry but it would be like buying a suit and the colour and material of the trousers not matching the jacket it’s that obvious. I have called on 3 occasions and they are just not interested. Shame on you Furniture Village. I will never buy from you again and neither will any of my friends and family. I just wish I had looked at reviews of this company before buying as it looks like many many people have had similar problems.

Bought a G Plan 3 piece suite which was delivered in December 2021, just before Xmas. This item was for us, very expensive, but G Plan said reliability & quality to us. Both chairs were delivered faulty, confirmed by Homeserve, Furniture Village’s engineers. Although we reported these faults in February 2022, Furniture Village ‘After care’ department told us that we were not entitled to a new suite as we reported the fault out of their 30 day fault reporting period. Hence, I agreed that the 2 chairs should therefore be repaired & then I began the wait & non communication from the ‘after care’ dept despite my many calls for updates on when the repairs would take place. I called the ‘after care’ team again & again sometimes with promises from FV of a call back with updating information which never happened. I emailed Peter Harris, the CEO in March 2022 with my complaint & asking for his help, I got no response! Finally, in desperation, I filed a claim in the Small Claims Court in June 2022 for the refund of the value of the suite. This is when Furniture Village’s Judith Barnes, Online Administrator Supervisor became involved in our case due to the court claim. The service from that point on, from FV, became absolutely first class. We were rapidly offered several option, repairs, replacement or full monetary refund. We opted for the full monetary refund including our court costs of £205 - this was overseen every step of the way by Judi Barns with a full agenda for the collection & return of the suite & monies returned! I must explain that at this stage I withdrew the court claim as I was being given just what I wanted originally. Ms Barnes turned a really awful experience with FV into a calm reassuring one. What I am sad about is that we are asked to put boxing gloves on to fight these established companies like FV that think sub standard in quality is totally acceptable for their valued customers this then leading to sub standard in customer care…we deserve more as your valued customers. Let’s see you giving it to us without all this aggravation & bad feeling!

AVOID AVOID Only had the £3300 sofa less than 3 months, at which point we started noticing the seat had dipped on one side. On closer inspection we noticed the foot was wobbly, when my husband tried to tighten the screws, they were just spinning around, so we phoned the engineer. The engineer came out, took all the inside packing out, and didn’t replace them, then tried to tighten the screws which he couldn’t do. He then got up said do you want the sofa replacing or fixing, to which we replied I’m happy if you can fix it to which he got up and said ok well I will make my report out, and you will hear from furniture village soon, and we will get it sorted. Days passed and we never heard anything, so after phoning furniture village being disconnected put on hold, and being put on a wild goose chase, we finally spoke to someone who told us unfortunately the engineer tells us that the sofa has had a heavy impact, and it’s your fault, and the manufacturers warranty does not cover this. LIARS, THIEVES, AVOID THIS COMPANY. PETER HARRISON CEO, you should be ashamed, I am taking this further.

Hi all. Brought a reclining chair and was happy enough but then noticed that oil was leaking from the hydraulic ram. It leaked on our recently overhauled floor (sanded and re lacquered for in excess of £1000 ). Furniture village were slow to react and eventually refunded the monies paid after a number of visits as they said there was a fault with the chair. Since then customer services ( joke department) have offered us £80 😂 then £100 😂😂. I consider this an insult. They did say that they would pass this to their insurance company and call us back, this has yet to happen. Nobody will take control of this issue. I ask you to never purchase from this company until they become the company they could be.

Avoid at all costs! Wish I could give minus stars! Spent nearly £4,000 on sofas, a bed and mattress, was not told I’d be waiting over 5 months for sofa delivery and when requested to cancel my order I was told I was unable to do so unless I forfeited the £360 deposit paid. Sofa cushions are terrible, flat and ill fitting, technician told me I had to plump them by removing covers multiple times a day, thread coming out of the arms, a rip in the fabric which apparently was not a rip but a join to the frame and was stapled together, and clunking when sat on - this was after only 3 weeks of delivery! Bed frame broke within 4 months of delivery still waiting for parts 3 weeks later with no updates. Mattress is terrible but was told when reported I would “get used to it” but I have chronic illnesses so this is causing so much pain but still being told it’ll settle and there’s nothing they can do. I’ve had to call them more than 6 times due to them not honouring their word to call me back and basically told it’s my fault as I’m not caring for it properly and because the shop didn’t note my issues within the 30 days of delivery they said it’s my word against theirs. My complaint email has not even been responded to after almost a month and numerous chasing. I’m out almost £4,000 and they couldn’t care less - absolutely deplorable customer service along with the rubbish and not fit for purpose furniture.

Most staff at Gateshead really helpful however some are only interested in the sale. They are paid on commission so ……. Two years after purchasing my sofa I am still battling on, initially store handling customer service and they did there best. When second sofa arrived faulty customer service had changed to a call centre and my real nightmare began. Eventually after miles of emails, photos, on the phone for hours on hold, got a phone call from a customer care manager whom you cannot call directly??? Eventually because my sofa has now been discontinued so they cannot replace and a similar one would cost more because of price increases they have offered a refund but this would mean no suite for 16 to 20 weeks and additional costs. They have offered a repair but will only pay £50 towards loss of earnings, I accepted one repair and technicians van broke down so it did not happen. Any decent company would not put their customers In Such a difficult and intolerable position, there is definitely no care or customer service at Furniture Village See for yourself before buying, give Customer Services a call it is very disturbing at how long the call wait times are
