I ordered a divan bed and mattress. The mattress is fine, but one half of the divan is the correct colour - grey, the other is brown and the headboard is blue!! I did not order a multicoloured bed. I find this appalling when, on ordering, I had to spend a considerable length of time checking the order with the sales person and signing to say that the order was what I wanted. What a pity that no checking obviously happens before goods are delivered. What is even more upsetting is, that despite contacting Furniture Village, I have yet to receive an email or a phone call apologising and explaining when I might expect the correct delivery. After reading the other reviews posted, I am not hopeful that the problem will be resolved soon. What a pity that I did not read these reviews before placing the order. I would advise potential customers to leave Furniture Village well alone if they want a reliable service.

All customers should start a Facebook page for furniture Village same as we ha e on sofology and Dfs. Section 75 if you have paid finance and ask for a refund if the goods are faulty! Also you can go to your credit card provider, small claims court. Do not except what these sofa companies are doing we pay a lot of money for sofas that are not for for purpose.

I placed an online order. I as told it would be delivered in 7 days. Six weeks later still no delivery. I have paid in full. I tried live chat and was supposed to be transferred to another team but just got left hanging. Tried calling and was 39 in the queue! Sent an e mail a week ago and no reply. This is appalling customer service. Not even worth one star

Unfortunately their customer service is terrible. After placing an order on line, they debited my account but I was not able to contact them about delivery, etc. I have emailed them and not received a reply, and tried to call them twice, and waited over 50 mins and still not been able to speak to a sales person. I will never buy anything from them again. Very disappointed.

Appalling Customer Service & Experience I am 44 years old and all them years I do not think I have ever experienced such poor customer service from a mainstream company. I ordered a corner sofa and footstool and was sent the wrong footstool. I made Furniture Village aware and they ordered a replacement. The second one that arrived was the same as the original and the wrong one. 10 months later I am still awaiting my order!! I have no problem with people getting things wrong we are all human, it's the fact I am always the one chasing them and have to call and email. Never are Furniture Village proactive and call the customer to apologise and try and rectify the problems. Today it is 20th May and I am awaiting a call from a Manager since 29th April after I received a further broken promise I would receive a call within 5 working days. The customer service is appllaing and I would not recommend purchasing from them based on the customer experience. Their products are decent quality, but they do not seem to value their customers.

Bought a corner sofa from these nearly 2k and it's the most uncomfortable poorly made sofa ever and I feel like I've been robbed, trying to get assistance is a waste of time, never ever again

Spent half an hour on hold to their sales team to be told that nothing similar to the website was on sale because the site takes "24 hours to update". It's a bait and switch scheme and judging by the reviews of people who then bought a bed we dodged a bullet.

To sum up my complaints: - 2 failed mattress orders, meaning a wait of 2 months (I am now in the process of cancelling the third attempt as I have had enough of this company and resorted to ordering elsewhere) - They delivered the WRONG sofa, meaning a total wait of 6 months for the correct one. - Incorrect contact details from the beginning - No notification of delivery slot the day before, despite wrong contact number. The delivery van also came before the confirmed time slot. - Chosen payment option of IFC was not put through - Extreme lack of communication and miscommunication - Constant disappointment I have been extremely frustrated, angry and upset by this whole experience. I am 24 and just bought my first property as a single occupant, it has impacted my experience very negatively throughout. I am beyond belief and appalled by this company and it's service. I am even more appalled that a big company like this one does not have an official complaints procedure/time scale or department; this is how it has been explained to me. I have all the evidence to back up mine and Mo's conversation via Whatsapp should you require, if this needs to go further. I am sure you have recorded phone calls and live chat threads also. I am confident that any person who reads this would agree that I am more than liable for heavy compensation. Furthermore, I took a day off work for delivery and will need to take another day off for the correct sofa to be redelivered. I work as self employed and I have lost a whole day of income due to your company's incompetence. Most definitely would not recommend. AVOID at all costs.

Delivery fine, my complaint is about customer service and aftercare. Sofa delivered 17th April 2021 and the leg broke off on 28th April. Called and was told to email. Still no response, not even an automated reply

Ordered a three, a two seater recliner sofa and a single chair. When it came the two seater recliner was broken where the foot should have been, it looked like it had been dropped. The men who delivered it said that I could get a new one and that I could still use it. On the three seater in the middle there was a three inch gap. Not happy so I rang and somone said they would replace them. In the meantime someone from homeserve came and said so it was dangerous he would temporary repair it so it was safe. The three seater he said it would have to "bed in" and the gap would get smaller. Although there isnt a gap in the other one at all. Home serve lied as they said I was happy with the repair I was not. Peterborough store manager rang there is nothing they will do for me. So I have one sofa that has a bodged repair another one that the middle person cannot sit on because the gap is too big. If I could give this company a zero I would. Please dont buy from them. I am even thinking of sitting outside there store on the faulty furniture. I am so mad and upset.

We bought a corner sofa from the Cheadle branch and at first we were happy with it. After a few weeks the interior cushions started to go flat. I contacted the store who told me they weren't covered by the guarantee and we'd have to pay for new ones. We were not told this when purchasing and in places can now feel the frame. Do not buy from this company they have no after care or customer service.

Totally unprofessional and disrespectful staff and store manager. They literally shouted at us and showed an aggressive attitude when we went back to store as we weren’t happy with our mattress. Bought a Tempur one, £1900 and the quality is awful. No returns/ changes or refund accepted and also there is no way to make a formal complaint.

Still haven't refunded my money it's been 6 weeks! Sent damaged table to us. Requested refund, they picked it up but never sent money back. Emailed and got no response. I call and all I get is someone will call you back. Guess what... No one does, have to call them back again and still no answers. Absolute joke of a company

Worst Company Ever - order new sofa, wrong one turned up, then they eventually delivered it 3 months later but it was used and had a strong curry odour. They had tried to fob us off with a used one without telling us!! One that had been on someone else’s front room with no mention of COVID! Very hard to contact, and they are only offering a small discount as a gesture. do not use!

After purchasing a complete divan and headboard in October 2019 and delivered November 2019 by September 2020 the springs had collapsed leaving a very large hole they sent a man from Hypnos who confirmed the springs had separated and would be replaced under the guarantee and said we should go back to the Abingdon shop to arrange this so off we went and chose another mattress for fear of the same thing happening still Hypnos we were told we should have it by end of November 2020BUT that was cancelled then told end of January 2021 BUT that was cancelled as we went into lockdown and told us Hypnos was on reduced production so then told March 2021 the did lend us a topper which was useless as it just fell into to large hole I rang them on many occasions and tried to get hold of customer service who had first logged my problem (Jane) but was never available so fed up with all this I asked for a refund as advised by trading standards because they could not supply the goods BUT the manager of the Abingdon branch said he would not give a full refund as it was over year I tried to explain it was not my fault it was over a year but there’s as they could not supply a replacement and I had first reported this way back in September last year well within the year but he still insisted and would not refund so with no option we just had to wait and sleep on a mattress that hurt our back , I would just like to tell others to stay clear of this company as they should me no sympathy at all

Just received the 4 seater Ariana settee and armchair with the fabric backs. It is so uncomfortable, its higher than the one we sat in in the store and we keep sliding off, it’s ridiculous!!!!!!! Im going to ring and complain but I’m sure I won’t get anywhere with customer service. Avoid this settee as you will be very dissapointed.

Purchased an expensive bed frame and slatted base from Furniture Village & a top of the range Hypnos Ortho Extra Firm mattress separately. The problem is the slats are 9 and even 10 cm apart in places, and this has distressed our Hypnos mattress and made the guarantee invalid, Hypnos lay the blame firmly at the feet of Furniture village, who sold us the slatted base. As Industry standards warn gaps in slatted bases should be no more than 7cm And any mattress you purchase from whoever it is will say that the guarantee is invalid if it is laid on a substandard base. ie substandard = Any slatted base over 7cm, so why did Furniture Village sell us one that has 9cm and even 10cm gaps in places? The bizarre thing is that Furniture Village warn customers AGAINST purchasing a slatted base with slats over 7cm apart, It's on their how to care for your mattress guide, on their own website. We foolishly thought it was an oversight and once we brought this matter to their attention they would apologise and resolve the matter as quickly as possible. Wrong. Very Wrong. We called the manager Luke at Friern Barnet and Stevenage Furniture Village. It took weeks to actually get to speak to him firstly because once you press option one for customer service on their contact number it says mailbox full throws you out and one is unable to leave a message. If customer service is this bad there really is a problem, its one of the biggest gripes on their negative reviews. Once you do get through to a human it takes weeks to go through the chain of command until you finally come to the store manage Luke. Email communication is even worse. Luke commissioned a really incompetent firm called Homeserve Furniture repairs, (We mistakenly thought they were the Ombudsman) a shady firm that if you Google their company you will see they have been discredited by money saving expert and have various negative reviews from customers using words like , cowboys, woeful, scam. A very unsavoury bunch. Anyway Furniture Village have made us an offer of replacing the slatted base but not the mattress. So they accept liability for the frame which caused the damage. The mind boggles? On website reviews where you have to input your order number or receipt Furniture Village and Homeserve Furniture repairs have over 79% to 92 % negative reviews. Two questions. One how can a company survive like this? I suspect they won't and they will be closing their doors sometime soon, so be very wary leaving deposits, unless you pay by card. Two: Where are the positive reviews coming from when you don't need a receipt as proof of purchase. I am sure the Ombudsman will be interested. which is our next stop, we will pass on the dossier we have collected with their unethical practices. We really wish we had taken the time to view the negative reviews before we made purchase, and if you are going to make a purchase make sure you pay by card so you are covered if they go into administration, which is where they are headed if they carry on providing such woeful customer service. Only 9% recommend Furniture Village thats a whopping 91% of unhappy customers.
