“Give them one star because i had too Give them one star because i had too Terible service missing wood on panels and missing 4 inch gap between the doors and also hinges to thick on doors so had to shave them roof covering to short then called customer services abroad somewhere to hear that i cannot claim anything because the terms and conditions stated everything had been delivered so everything is ok although what was delivered was short of wood and material PLEASE DONT WAIST YOUR MONEY WHAT A BAD COMPANY WITH A VERY BAD CUSTOMERS SERVICE WORST PURCHASE EVER”

“PLEASE READ THIS!! I should have known, in all my years I have learnt you get what you pay for. Quality Log Cabins are £3.5k, if you see one for £1k you should know better. This is the single worst product I HAVE EVER BOUGHT. The timber arrives in 200+ pieces. It is untreated. You have to set up a production line to apply 2 coats of preserve, drying in between and 2 coats varnish or paint later. That took us nearly 6 weeks!!! We had to get pallets to rest drying timbers on, saw horses to sit the timbers on while applying, removal blankets to cover the garage floor and driveway to stop the preserve/laquer staining the floors, bike covers to move bicycles out of the garage to achieve enough room to treat, lay out while drying and then store treated timbers until the whole thing was finished. If you live in a house with no garage and no driveway, I have no idea how you would do this?? It is in tiny, tiny letters on the selling website, that the timbers are untreated. It was the delivery driver who really explained that to us. 33% of the parts were missing. Of the 66% we did have, 25% were damaged or incorrectly produced. We were provided with the wrong instructions and wrong parts list (we didn't know that until after we started the build and phoned for missing parts. They emailed us a parts list which was completely different to the one we received with the delivery. The missing parts arrived 10 days later, then they have to be treated, but 50% of the missing parts were missing!! I worked out that I could buy the missing structural pices from the local timber merchants and the rest were all fascia pieces, so we could still finish the build. 2 weeks on I still have no fascia pieces and cannot get any response from GBD. We decided on clear laquer, as we wanted the light timber look. The 2 batches of timber received, plus the ones we sourced locally, are all different colours, it looks bloody awful. The first delivery arrived 15th April and we still have parts missing. The quality of timber is dreadful, its thin and flimsy with incorrect cut outs on view on wrongly made boards. With associated costs, varnish, brushes, local timber etc, we have spent an additional £500 finishing a 10x8 cabin that cost £1000. It's not finished yet and it looks an eyesore. I haven't decided yet whether to paint it and live with it or set alight to it. If you don't have the £3.5k for a proper log cabin, please, please., please, either save until you do, or just buy a tried and trusted shed from your local timber merchant. NEVER buy from these people. They are, by some distance, the overall worst seller I have ever had the misfortune to buy from. Totally my fault, I should have known. But in fairness, even at my most cynical, I couldn't have guessed this. (the above is an accurate and abridged version of the full story!!)”

“Never ever use this company!!! Their customer service is absolutely appalling, goods don't arrive on time and when they do there are parts missing. It is impossible to speak to someone from the UK and the overseas call centre is the most unhelpful that I've ever dealt with.”

“WARNING!! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! We brought a playhouse from this company for £219 a year ago. It has lasted only 1 year! The customer service is awful and their call centre is in the Philippines, you never get through to the U.K based office and they never ring you back. YOU HAVE RIGHTS CALL TRADING STANDARDS AND CITIZENS ADVICE The more people that do we will see these people be brought to justice! I can't believe they are selling products which are deemed unsafe for children!!”

“Terrible company to deal with; the customer care centre is just a call centre based in the Philippines who claim to only have email contact with the UK company. I received numerous messages that they were still waiting for a part before shipping. I called to find out what it was and was told it was the door, I asked for it to be shipped with the door to follow so I could pre-paint (as they recommend) and build most of the shed before the door was needed. They said they would have to contact the company and phone back. They never phoned back and when I chased they wouldn’t send without the door. When it finally arrived there was no parts list or no instructions (so they had to email these) and a number of warped boards. It took a week for replacement boards to arrive and the replacement order wasn’t correct. When I started building I found the back bottom plate was the wrong size, I couldn’t wait for another replacement so had to trim 5mm off the entire length of the board. One hinge was also locked up and unable to be used. They recommend screw holes are pre-drilled which is necessary, just a shame they don’t take their own advice as many pre-drilled parts had split at the screws. A number of boards were also pretty rough in places, particularly the cutouts – not the quality you expect for the cost of the shed. So overall a very bad experience and I would strongly recommend not using this company.”

“Terrible company to deal with. Bought a home office, was delivered incomplete, we had a second delivery a week later, also incomplete, the 3rd delivery did not turn up so we wasted a day in waiting for nothing, the 4th delivery also didnt turn up, even though on the day we made several phone calls to check, and they assured us it would. Even at 8pm in the evening I was told it was still out for delivery until I pressed them and finally go them to admit it was not. Downright nasty in my opinion to make someone wait in for a delivery which they know is not going to arrive. They also admitted in the end that they dont do Saturday deliveries. I have copies of all correspondance and live chat logs, to back all that i have said up and will be happy to produce all this on request.”

“wish i would have read these review before i bought from them utter rubbish service and poor quality sell you flat pack items without advertising them as flat pack, changed my delivery date 3 times and then finally when it does its very bad quality you get what you pay for - in this case RUBBISH avoid these at all costs”

“Ordered a playhouse in December, first they did not deliver the slide, then the paint they supplied was unusable (very watery with lumps of colour in it). Then after 3 months the wood began to split on the tower and side panels - awful quality. Customer services very unhelpful”

“Do not buy from this company!! The quality of wood is very poor, the playhouse didn't last six months, the roof leaked in and completly soaked the inside of the roof. Water came in from the bottom. Customer service is shocking. They don't care about their customers.”

“Think twice about buying anything from this company. The house look nothing like they do on the site. Instruction quantities don't tally up with how many panels are actually needed so you'll be treat like a criminal when you phone up for the missing parts as the drivers 'take photos' to prove things are delivered. The quality of my house is shocking, I paid £400 for a house full of jagged edges, gaps everywhere, panels which don't line up, the list is endless! I paid a joiner to come and put the house together and when I phoned customer service, they suggested that he remove all the lats from the frames and cut them all to the same length then refit. (Basically how it should have been done by them) they offered me a £40 refund to do this. Absolute joke! It would have took someone days to do this. I had no choice but to go ahead and have it built as it was otherwise I wouldn't have had my daughters birthday present in time. I'm still awaiting a response to my complaint from the resolutions team which was sent over a week ago! Even the drivers who work for them expressed their disgust at the quality of products they send out to customers!”

“Absolutely disgraceful customer service. Lies after lies after lies about the delivery - only letting you know its not coming the next day about 8pm the night before - so planning days off work for delivery is pointless! In the end, they were just useless on the phone - not in sync with logistics at all - so I cancelled the order for a full refund. Not sure how long that's going to take! WARNING : DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!”

“I ordered the 12x10 shed. Cant fault them for delivery in fairness but the quality of the product is terrible - I would argue its not fit for purpose. The wood is flimsy, there is no support and nothing fits, there is a 70mm gap in the doors and the list goes on. The (laughingly) windows are the flimsiest perspex I have ever seen!!!!! If I get a couple of years out of it I will be staggered! I am kicking myself for not spending a bit more. Avoid this company like the plague.”

“The product was terrible. I've made quite a bit of furniture around the house and thought this would be easier and higher quality than using old pallet wood to knock up a shed. Bad idea. The wood is poor, the assembly is poor, the design is poor. To rub salt in the wounds I find out that I've missed a single step out of 70+ which has made completing it more difficult. In the context of how terrible the whole thing's been that's just one more straw though. I'm at the point of considering burning what I paid £400 for. The wood's so bad I wouldn't be able to reuse it for anything else and the shed is so far from straight, square and reasonably water tight that I can't see me keeping it. Gutted I hadn't looked harder for reviews from this particular site first.”

“I bought my shed almost a year ago and started emailing the company in april about all the problems I had and that were developing as the shed was up a few months . The shed was delivered with the gable ends in 3 panels hence there is no support it just bows when you lean on the middle with nothing supporting the 3 parts . The doors have a 3/4 inch gap in them they dont fit either doors fit and have a gap that lets the water in. There is one rotten panel that was wet and soggy within 2 months . The Premium guttering I paid extra for does not fit this shed or tilt enough to actually drain any water into a waterbut. This shed has been made from very new un seasoned wood that has mad my shed have a huge amount of ventilation and gaps with the wholes i it. There is also evidence that the batons on roof panels have been used before . I have spent £300 erecting the shed and £200 reflecting the shed as the pins were so small and felt such poor very thin quality it lasted only 6 weeks and the felt I bout was at least double he tickles and good quality . I took 3 days painting the shed in and out before it was erected so this isn't a simple task of sending me a know panel for the rotten one and replacing the doors as who will pay to take the shed down to replace the sid panel and re erect it all again and repaint it and pay for the paint . I tried to email the company in fact there is 27 emails between now and April this year . Each reply is from a different person saying could I explain the problem and give me the part number of the part I want replacing and apologising for the bad service. I then get other emails that say we are sorry but we cannot view the previous emails ( even though I can see them all ) can you tell us the problem !!!!! which i have done in many emails with many photos”
