The worst company to deal with. Never make the mistake of assuming they are worth using for insurance because they are the cheapest...as the saying goes you pay peanuts you get monkeys. 6 months to pay out on a non fault claim. Continuous pressure to use sister company admiral law who send letters as though you have signed documents. Harassing phone calls. Under value the vehicle and demonstrate no knowledge of how to value. Fail to answer queries. Given crime numbers and details of police officers dealing and have the cheek to say without contacting them that they are processing claim as potential fault. Left me without a vehicle for 6 months. Assessors weren't passed documents. Assessors didn't go out to view vehicle despite the fact that all they had to do was arrange viewing with police and suggested I go and take pictures after I was nearly killed in the accident. No thought to flashbacks I still have Left me to collect vehicle two weeks prior to giving birth. Still ongoing so will contact ombudsman.

Have a few policies, aparentally in 2021 they cant be linked to the same email or account!!! advised me to set up more than one email, refused me access to legally required documents, rude staff, didn't respond to calls emails etc.. as promised, no help at all. One staff member confirmed another had lied to me, but dint apologise. I will be going to the financial ombudsman as they still haven't even given me a receipt. and no documents at all for my car insurance, took the money mind.

I requested to ‘NOT automatically renew’ my policy last year. However admiral suddenly changed it to “automatically renew” just before my contract expiry date without my agreement. Furthermore, Admiral renewed my insurance policy at a premium higher than the renewal quotation without notifying me and without my approval. On my last contract date, I called Admiral in the evening, but their phone line closed an hour before their publicised closing hour. As a result I could not stop the renewal. I called Admiral the next day and asked for cancellation of my renewal. However, Admiral tried to charge me £25 cancellation fee. Finally, I sent an email to the CEO of Admiral group to complaint about this. The customer assurance executive, Beth Jones, replied and explained that the premium increase was based on statistics, the renewal quote was just a price of offer, which I was under no obligation to accept a quotation. I totally disagreed with her explanation. I believe that a renewal quotation is valid until the renewal date, Admiral shouldn’t make any changes after the renewal quotation was sent. She didn’t answer why they changed my renewal to automatic renewal. I left Admiral now.

I am taking them to the financial ombudsman because they have still not refunded me the £63.34 they owe me from June (it is now October). Their call centres are in India so wait times are long and their agents know nothing about your case when you eventually get through. They are unhelpful, rude, and do not care.

I am so so disappointed with the service i recieved if you are to call it 'service'. Back in February last year I had a vehicle go in to the back of mine and spun me on the roundabout on my way home from work. I instructed that it was the third parties fault which it was and that I would not settle for 50/50. During this time it was apparent that despite all evidence presented and even though I had instructed admiral to take it to court they were not going to do that and wanted to settle on 50/50 which was just ludicrous. I told them that I do not agree to this but the person dealing with my claim sent me a rude email back basically saying tough and that they were not going to do what I had asked despite the repair report on my car stating that this could not have possibly been my fault. To top it off I was due to renew my insurance in November but have cancelled it due to no longer owning the vehicle. They have now stated that deposit being over the point where I am entitled to receive my no claims bonus that I will not get it unless unless insure another vehicle with them! I am absolutely disgusted and am looking at taking this further. I advise anyone renewing or taking out insurance not to go with this company as they only care about themselves and how they squeeze as much money out of you as possible.

On hold now for 56 minutes utterly appalling such a shocking wait time, how are customers expected to cope with this? Utterly untenable

Worst company I've ever dealt with. Appalling service from start to finish. I took out the Platinum level of contents insurance with the understanding it covered theft. AS IT CLAIMS. I never received any policies nor were any exclusions shown on my dashboard. I realise now I should have chased this up. We had workmen in, and had over £2000 of personal items stolen. They are refusing to pay up as the workmen were in the building legally. This is inspite of the fact they stole from a room they had no right to be in, and a policeman explained this is theft. I have lodged a complaint, and all of a sudden all the policies have been sent through to me. Amongst this it states theft cannot be claimed unless force is shown. This is actually BURGLARY. I am still battling with them, totally misleading wording, and unsympathetic treatment. DO NOT GO NEAR THEM!!!!!!

All good until you have an accident. I was not at fault at the accident, Admiral made the process really difficult and created me a lot of stress and left me with no curtesy car even though i was paying for it. My car was a write off, they have failed to inform me on time, gave me 6h notice that because its a write off my insurance will be cancelled. Havent provided me with curtesy car on time. Once finally got the car, they have cover insurance on it for the period of 6 days even though i was informed it will be insured until i receive a pay out. Won't be using them again.

They said they would have to charge me, a cancer patient an extra £60 because I couldn't work. I was told if I was unemployed because of covid, they would not charge me extra. I'm not sure why having cancer made me have to pay extra. I had been with this company for 6 years.

My daughter was involved in a collision that was not her fault and then was told that her car was a right off and that she would only be given half the worth of the car. So she would be losing over one thousand pounds. I then tried to deal with Admiral my self and I can only say it was like hitting my head against a brick wall. My daughter had dash cam footage of the collision that wasn't given to the other insurance company until 24 weeks after the collision when I complained. They told the other insurance company that the car was a totally written off and they got full payment for it even though it was fixed for less than half of the price. I can not believe how incredibly bad Admiral is. I can only say Avoid.

Horrible user experience. We were figuring out for good half an hour with my wife how to cancel her car insurance auto-renew which is clearly on purpose made as hard as possible to do. First we found out it is not possible to reply to the auto-renew reminder email to tell them you don't want to renew. Then, when logged on Admiral website, there's no way to cancel from the website. The "customer support" chat is AI powered and not particularly clever one neither; you type in what you want to do and it replies with nonsense. Then we learned the only way to cancel the policy auto-renewal is to call Admiral on telephone. Surely these lines are now closed because it is out of office hours. Every car insurance company my wife and I dealt with in the past allow cancelling auto-renew from their app, website or by simply sending them an email at minimum. This is highly time consuming, annoying, unacceptable and should be illegal if it is not already.

Totally useless legal insurance Had an accident where (so-called) 'third party' (the other driver/their insurance) immediately accepted liability. After two full working weeks Admiral legal insurance have not given any useful legal assistance - other than declaring themselves incompetent (after 1 working week of waiting with phone lines closed) for defending my financial losses to third party, not having made any decision - or entered any meaningful conversation about whether they provide a lawyer to get involved etc (another 7 days after their own law firm had declared themselves incompetent). Admiral insurance also initially tried to persuade me into me letting them handle the case - which would have cost me (with very high likelihood, given the prompt response of the 3rd party insurance) £500 of excess fees. Great, thank you Admiral

Every time you speak to somebody the terms of your policy change. They tell you they will pay out but every time you call up they speak to "a senior" and it turns out you aren't covered. Don't waste your time

What a joke!!! Signed up for home insurance. Never received confirmation. Could not set up an account. Told countless time they would email documents but nothing ever arrived. Told I had an online account but could not reset my account to get a new password. Never anything in spam folder. The irony is when I cancelled the account they sent me an email which arrived - bonkers.
