Worst company ever! Was involved in a car accident and was hit from the back! Accident caused damage to my air suspension and hand brake. Churchill’s mechanics autotech in slough advised them to pay me out as the costs are to high. Churchill’s engineer has then responded back to me with ‘these are common faults’ ‘your accident wasn’t that big’ ‘these cars are designed to go off road’ after numerous phone calls and disputes he then sent it off to Land Rover to do diagnostics which basically just picked up the problems that had occurred(basically wasted more time) he then told me he is willing to pay me for the back bumper ? I completely disagreed and didn’t accept any type of offer they have offered me so my claim is still in dispute. Mean while what the engineer has now down is cancelled my hire vehicle so now I have no vehicle at all. It seems to me that he has cancelled my hire contract in hope that I will accept any type of offer he throws at me which is not the case. Overall this company has played me around it took over 2 weeks for solicitors to contact me regarding my injury claim (which till this day I’ve not been seen by anyone). If you enjoy arguments this company is for you ! Literally a bunch of cowboys! Avoid.

Took my many years no claims, then wrote it off, claiming it was just honouring it and mirroring it. They said it was all above board, but basically they were trying to lock me in. I am now down to 1 YNC without making any claims.

Posted a one star review of home insurance 3 days ago and surprise, surprise, it wasn't there the next day which proves that someone at Churchills read them. Because this happened I sent in a review to Trust pilot. The very next day I got a phone call from Churchill informing me of how I misinterpreted what they told me. As a result a £198 plumbers bill will now be paid to me (as a goodwill gesture), and the cost of renovation to my water damaged walls and ceiling which they estimated at £1,300 pounds and for which my lowest estimate was £1,900. It would seem now that was something else I misunderstood, as I instructed tradesman Churchill would not accept. So I compromised and accepted a repair job for the £1,300 they were prepared to pay. Now they tell me on the phone they would have accepted £1,900!! Too late, the repair is underway. No mention of recompense for outright lies. I repeat, do not trust this company. I will be cancelling car insurance now since all trust has gone. It will be interesting to see if this review goes the same way as the previous one. Will let you know.

The worse car insurance out there. Emma Uren ignored an email for 2 months and has now cost me my insurance. They have cancelled the insurance without warning because my previous provider doesn't have a fancy logo printed on their no claims information. That is enough for me to be told my insurance expired yesterday!

Took out car insurance. Made a claim as it was not my fault (third party was an 18 year old who had a license for about 3 months) however as it was a mini roundabout they said it had to be 50-50 fault wise. Said they would chase up third party after 21 days, I even had to find the council contact details for the CCTV which I gave them. This would have cleared my claim to a no fault claim however long story short they didn't contact them; the council deleted the footage after 31 days. If you want an insurer that doesn't do what they are getting paid to do, go right ahead. Definitely has taught me a lesson.

Despite my informing Churchill (on 13th February, spoke to Diane who assured me she'd made the change on their system) that I did not want to renew with them (prior to my policy expiration 11 March) I got a letter saying they'd autorenewed on 15th March - four days after expiration. I phoned on 15th, spoke to Kirsty who assured me absolutely that it was cancelled and that they would definitely not take payment. Today, 19th March, I see that they've taken a random amount £204.96 from my account. This is outrageous - I have only just enough in my account to prevent this making it overdrawn. Do not deal with these people - even if you record dates and names they will still take your money. They can only be just this side of legal behaviour.

Disgusting treatment my vehicle was damaged by a Churchill customer and went in for repairs and was return to me with a broken front spring. My vehicle was in perfect working ordered and have proved this via pre work checks yet neither the body shop or Churchill are willing to pay for the work as they it’s wear and tear! So I’m £120 out of pocket for something that’s not my fault. What shocks me more is they deem this acceptable! Avoid at all costs

I have been a good customer for 6 years and Churchill just kept putting up my premiums every year. My fault for thinking they would value my custom and not con me! I was paying £710 a year with Churchill and have just gone to RAC for £188. I am so anniyed with my self for trusting this company to have my best interests at heart.

Awful company - did even bother to inform me about a claim made against me. Terrible communications, no information and try to sneak up insurance each year. Will never use again.

had a wine spill on laptop call minder said unlikely to repair £350 laptop so they collected it and next thing a text saying they are repairing it returned weeks later with win 8 not win 10 it left with and not working the touchpad dead called in local tech who after two hours gave up and said buy a wireless mouse, lost all win 10 stuff and cant use it away from home, wont update to win 10 even though I have a license. did finally reimburse excess but refuse to remove claim from file penalising me with next insurer and to top it off said if I renewed with them it will cost an extra £113.00 easily the worst company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with ever avoid avoid

Abysmal claims handling. Difficult to find out of hours contact to report the incident in the first place. Completely disjointed service - having to explain the same information to different 3rd party partners involved in the process. Poor customer experience from partner companies. Auxillis particularly bad. Hard work to organise ‘guaranteed’ courtesy car and not sure staff understand the product!

I travelled to South America and lost my computer while at Heathrow airport, tried to contact Churchill about it but there was NO reply on any of the telephone lines provided for this purpose. I had the booklet: “Travel Insurance - ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW”, on page 10 “How to contact us”, I started dialling the number for non emergencies: no reply; then I tried the one for legal assistance: no reply and last the one for emergencies: no luck either! I came to England and gave them a call, the first person who I spoke to told me that they were aware that those numbers did no work from Argentina; then I spoke to his manager who changed the version saying that the company was not aware of it. But did not try to find out what happened either, they did not acknowledge my concerns, they were JUST not INTERESTED, when they should have been CONCERNED at least to hear that their company has a problem serving their customers in Argentina. So what about if I had had a real emergency..... This company is not serious. I received a letter dated 1/2 from Churchill confirming that “all cover has ceased” and the £75.90 I paid for this policy, will be refunded; today 21/2/2019 has not reached my account! They were going to compensate me with a £100, and I should receive that cheque in 14 days, that period has long past and none of those payments were done. Think again if you are looking for an insurance, I don’t think this company is reliable. (1 star because was not an option of ANY STAR!)

Beware. They are demanding almost £70 from me in cancellation fees after they put premiums up to over double the price elsewhere. Threatening me with debt collection. They don't care about loyal customers. I've been with them years, never made a claim, never questioned their renewals, they've had hundreds from me over the years and this is how they treat me when forced to cancel due to their rip off premiums. They hold customers to ransom. Their customer service advisors didn't care. Would never use again, will tell everyone I know to avoid them

Churchill is terrible, I would never go with them again in a million years, they don't know what's going on, always switching between people and they clearly don't communicate to each other as I have to repeat myself 100 times, absolutely worse insurance group to go with

Absolutely shocking and dishonest. Will take money from you any which way they can. I am paying £59.00 for third party fire and theft and minimal breakdown cover. Just happened to check today and with exact same details on Churchill’s website, I was quoted £43 for fully comp with better breakdown cover! Could be paying that lower rate with loads of other insurance company. Having spoken to Churchill about it they are conveniently ‘unable to match the price mid-term’. ‘Admin fees’ to leave Churchill are so expensive that I’m stuck with this awful policy. Bleeding current customers dry while trying to lure in new ones. Avoid avoid avoid!
