Very bad back office Long waiting times for someone to pickup and they transfer you many times to people who then transfer you again . So the employees there do not know what they are doing or where to transfer your call.

Been with this shower for nearly 30 years. They have just got worse and worse and worse. Seems the more branches they close (which is loads) the worse their on-linen and telephone "offering" becomes. Telephone "service" simply consists of scripted nonsense, obstruction, ignorance, rudeness and a total disregard for whether what they are telling you is true/accurate. Guessing and a total disregard for honest service is legion. Seemingly, the phrase "I don't know I will have to find out and get back to you" is banned, replaced with just spouting old nonsense. Promises of compensation for spending hours on the phone doesn't arrive, they ignore Subject Access Requests under the DPA ("doesn't apply to telephone conversations", please, just grow up and stop treating customers like idiots). In summary: even for a bank, truly, deeply awful service. Totally lost the plot and getting worse and worse. Avoid at all costs. What idiot bailed this lot out? Should have left them to fail as they so thoroughly deserve.

Worst Customer service ever. They required me to provide a document to the local branch for verification check and i did, 17 days and they still haven't sent it to Head office, When i call them , they state its not our problem if we haven't received yet, So i need to go to the branch again find the same person to give the document again, What a waste of time, Definitely i'm changing my bank this week.

Lloyds have taken all available funds and terminated my overdraft facility, not willing to reinstate even when ive told them I need the overdraft to pay for my dads funeral which has just taken place, they have left me without any available funds for the month until I next get paid meaning I cannot pay my rent, food shopping or petrol to get to work. when I called the bank they said this was my own fault and they were not prepared to help because the computer said no. My monthly salary nearly £2,000 a month goes in to this account so they can see it is funded regularly and still no one is prepared to help, meaning I cant even pay for my fahers funeral

Michael Huke a senior manager at Lloyds Bank HQ Bristol a record of his nefarious activities, each reported to Lloyds Bank and the Police where applicable. View ‘Michael Huke’ and ‘Banker Behaving Badly’ on YouTube and/or Google and witness his despicable conduct, (featured in a TV documentary to be broadcast soon). 1. CCTV of Michael Huke shouting threats, abuse and videoing his neighbours at their premises. 2. Assaulting neighbours physically and verbally, captured on CCTV and audio. 3. Offensive and unlawful TEXTs sent by Michael Huke…….. a) TEXT ‘My (Lloyds Bank) secretary gives me a blow job when I’m allocating bonuses’ b) TEXT ‘Kompany and Fernandinho (Manchester City footballers) are Northern black c*nts’. c) TEXT ‘Antonio Horta Osario (Lloyds Bank CEO) has no balls because he was off sick at the ‘Priory’ for 6 months suffering from a nervous breakdown. d) TEXT claiming ‘He would wind up 2 occupiers from the commercial site opposite his house (that he wanted gone) so much, he would let them Twat him and then get them done’. Plus more TEXTs of a similar grossly offensive nature. 4. When asked by friends the wealth of his landowner neighbour (that he was in conflict with), he answered ‘neither the landlord or his wife bank with Lloyds Banking Group and never have had accounts with us’. Within his ‘position of trust’ how did he determine that information, had they banked with Lloyds he would surely have snooped their accounts? 5. He was prosecuted by the local authority, when caught on covert CCTV watching his dog defecate outside a neighbour’s premises and not clear it up, in spite of being asked to. 6. He signed an ABC (Acceptable Behaviour Contract) issued to him jointly by South Gloucestershire Council ASBO team and the police. 7. Michael Huke received a solicitor’s letter from the owner of the commercial site opposite, warning of legal proceedings if he trespassed on the site again. He confided to a colleague that he would lose his job at Lloyds Bank if that happened, he hasn’t trespassed since. 8. He attacked a 71 year old man who’d parked briefly on the road outside his house; the incident was captured on CCTV also witnessed and video/audio recorded by a bystander. 9. The 71 year old victim of the attack and one of the witness’s (who’d videoed the attack) were months later arrested and held in custody, after the video of the attack had been uploaded onto YouTube, (by persons unknown), the charge was ‘uploading the videos’, (which were/are factual and not menacing in character) ‘because it discredited Michael Huke in front of his staff and jeopardised his job at Lloyds Bank HQ Bristol’. After interview they were released and no charge was pursued. The instigation of this wrongful/false arrest was likely influenced by Lloyds Bank as stated by Noel Edmonds, or Michael Hukes uncle a senior Freemason or incompetent/corrupt members of Avon and Somerset Police, possibly a combination of them all. Lloyds Bank has been apprised of the activities above which has brought Lloyds Banks name into disrepute; does Michael Huke represent Lloyds Banks values? He is presently still clinging onto his job at Lloyds Bank? You’re views, opinions, suggestions and advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have a business account with this lot, absolutely disgusting bank screwing start ups and small businesses over. I am so upset with them I have an appointment with my MP and will complain direct to him. With a bit of luck the FCA will also get involved. Mr Edmonds was correct about you lot bent as a nine pound note.

Where to begin on this awful awful bank... Last year, somebody made a fraudulent purchase through my eBay account and stole £800 from my Lloyd’s account. They basically stated they didn’t believe it because it was on my eBay... despite A LOT of evidence showing otherwise it took me 4 months to get my money back. Then they strike again. I have never ever missed a payment for anything, especially my credit card. As always I logged on and paid my card. Thought nothing of it until I received a text saying my credit limit had been halved, after a lengthy discussion on the phone, I was told I had not paid this month. Then after being told by one consultant it wouldn’t affect my credit rating “missing a payment” and an escalated complaint, the only thing they could say was there is no evidence you completed the payment. Despite being unable to 100% guarantee this is accurate would not offer any solution for me as a customer who has an impeccable record of paying on time and never missing any payments... They don’t want to help any customer, they literally could not care less as a bank. I banked with Barclays for 22 years and never ever had a problem. Lesson learned.

I ordered my cheque book last Monday and was told that it will come in 3-5 working days I waited for whole week and then called today (next Monday) they said o you have to go to your branch to order it! Is it professional? Nobody told me they should have informed me by emailing or calling. I will not be banking with them anymore.

After more than one year being a Lloyd's client, I decided to close down my bank account due to the poor overall service this bank provides. These are just some of the reasons: Opening an account in Lloyds is a painful-process: First, there is no chance to open an account online as you need to bring documentation to the bank after completing the application online. As most banks do, they request you proof of ID and proof address to complete your application. However, you must bring them to bank whilst other banks let you send them online. Additionally, when bringing those documents to the bank, you always feel they're trying to find any excuse to refuse them. Personal experience example: They send you an email stating they can accept a letting agreement as a proof of address if the document has been issued by an agency. I brought this document as a proof of address to the bank and they told me they can't accept it since it was issued by a high street agency ("additional" information NOT specified in the email they send you). Obviously, I wasted my time bringing another document the day after. In addition, when opening another bank account (second, third...), they request you again to bring a proof of ID and proof of address (when you are a client already). Considering that you can open a new account in other banks in less than 5 minutes (via online), this service in Lloyds is simply not good enough. App. I've always experienced issues finding information through Lloyd's app (example: Download a bank statement - PDF). The information is not displayed/structured clearly. I have used other banking apps (Metro, Santander, Revolut...etc) and I strongly think they are much better. Opening hours. Most of the branches are not open after 5-6 p.m For obvious reasons, this is an issue if you work during office hours. Other banks open until 8-9 during the week, so you don't need to wait till weekend or find a moment at work if you need to go the bank. Considering all the reasons above, I can't find a single reason to open an account in Lloyds and I'd never recommend this bank, since there are multiple banks in the UK that provide a much better service.

I went to this bank where I've been banking for 30 years with a USA check from my Mother who recently passed. I wanted to deposit it, and filled out the forms, etc. The check came back a week later stating the payee's name is different from the account. It WAS in my name but with my middle name included. I was incredulous as I realize in past dealings with the bank, my FULL name was included. I now have yet to go to my local branch. and track down the manager who I hope can see sense in this matter.

Repeatedly sent replacement credit cards to the wrong address over a six month period (still not resolved) despite the correct address being registered. Woeful level of service from the complaints team. Weeks can pass before I hear anything from them, despite me calling them daily. If the individual dealing with the issue isn’t available, no one else can help. Dreadful.

Beyond ridiculous internet banking… Beyond ridiculous internet banking support. Refuse to assist, though all questions answered they say I didn't pass security, but won't say why, yet happy to send me security code through post to new address I gave them over the phone. Non of them (apparently) can see anything that was discussed on a previous call even though there is a reference number. You might as well ask the birds in the sky to assist with your banking.
