Fraud company, stay well away. My scooter was stolen and burnt out over a year ago, valued at 1700 ponds, still waiting for my payment from MCE wich is now just over 200 pound, you call them to sit on hold for 25mins in wich they just hang up on you. The amount of phone calls i have made over the year would probbe the amount i am receving claims wise. Will never use again or recomend to anyone. Nightmare company, needs to be reported and closed down

I would never recommend to any one. MCE is a worse insurance company to pay off in case of claim. It's been 4 months my bike was robbed. Perpetrators were arrested, all required documents were provided, investigators approved the claim but MCE is now trying to escape from paying back. If you read there terms and conditions you be surprise about catches in TC. Never go for it????????

All in all this company is a big joke, I payed £80 to switch insurance from one bike to another and which they didn't even do which meant I ended up getting pulled over by the police, they will look for any way to take more and more money off of you.

Someone crashed into my scooter 10 months ago, MCE still hasn't resolved it. This is the worst company I have ever had to deal with, do not use them.

I had an accident on my motorcycle 3 weeks ago and it is classed a cat c total estimated repair cost £6000 just visual no parts listed no break down of costs. It took them 3 weeks to tell me this constant phone calls by me telling them this is the only vehicle I have. The train to London was £30 day bike £10. The bike has been taken to a salvage yard called CO part instead of a body shop for a proper estimate. They have taken pictures of my bike showing the damage and it appears more damage than the photos I have. They have listed vague items including some that were not damaged.I am going to make a formal complaint about the service that I have received. I have brought another bike and waiting for them to settle my claim. My advise they may come up the cheapest by about £50-100 than other insurance company's but this is what happens. You also get leather cover standard this is £350 max less £100 excess yes that's on top of the excess you are already going to pay. You then have to send them your leathers so that would cost you around £40 due to size and weight then they tell you how much they think they are worth due to wear and tear and give you the rest. But you can take them to a leather repair shop and get the panel replaced for less than your £100 excess. So not worth the paper it is printed on.

WARNING joining MCE will be the biggest mistake of your life. Back in April had an accident and the bike was a right off. After months of phone calls and arguments they finally paid out but only after I threatened them with trading standards etc. During all this shocking service they were giving me they gave me a quote for the bike they were willing to pay me so I went out and bought a new bike same make and model but a year younger. Rang them up gave them the new details of the new bike and it cost me another £100 for the remaining time of the policy which by the way was 9 months. So few more phone calls asking where the money was and they finally paid out. Then Two weeks after they paid out they call me up and say now that I've claimed off my policy it is now spent and no longer in place even thou I paid for a full year upfront and an additional £100 for the new bike. I told them to get stuffed and it's now in the hands of the ombudsman. Stay well clear of this shocking company

I work for a company called examworks who validate claims on behalf of MCE. From my experience they like when you find problems not to pay out on honest claims. Around 60% of claims are not paid due to legal gaps found within MCE contracts or policies. If you want a bit of meaningless paper go to MCE!

This insurance company is the worst insurance company I have ever come across they take your money for fully comp insurance then ring you to charge you even more money for products that should already be in the fully comp policy I've never received a phone call a letter or and email to say I'm insured when someone take 2000 for insurance and can't send a letter right an email or even call you to let your policy exists never ever ever pay or waste your time with this company there no better then legal robbery do not use please avoid they will take your money and refuse any claim

I had the missfortune of dealing with Victor in the renewals department, he was extremely rude and obnoxious. Needless to say I won't be renewing

This is a very generous one star. I needed insurance, so I called for a quote last month. I Was kept on hold "while it's put through the computer" and eventually was given a quote for nearly £200 more than who I went with in the end. When I got my phone bill I noticed that the call ended up costing me £14. Just so we're clear - it costs you money if you want to become a customer of theirs. The bloke on the other end of the phone was pleasant enough, I didn't even feel like I was being mugged off. I'm glad I told them to jog on at first point of contact as I feel my experience dealing with this company would only get worse had I become a customer.

*******WARNING*********** Don't be fooled by their cheap prices, don't post a review until you have had to deal with customer services... I had a claim from 17/02/2016 and it's now 25/08/2016... not one email and not one phone call... every time I call them up I get put on hold and left there waiting for over an hour multiple time's before giving up... --------------------------The worst part was I called half an hour before the phone lines close for a quick update and she said 'I'll put you through to the correct person' was on hold, got up to the closing time and it just went dead...--------------------------- The only reason people are putting good reviews is the price, if you don't have an accident yeah they are great but god forbid you do... you will get no where.... now I'm angry, frustrated with no clue on what's going on, I can't get other insurance as it's still 'on going' so insurance will be extortionate... STAY AWAY FROM MCE AND SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSLE, DON'T BE FOOLED BY CHEAP PREMIUMS, PAY A LITTLE EXTRA FOR A BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE 0 STARS FROM ME NEVER GOING BACK AGAIN

I have had three policies with MCE and if there was ever a problem they were always happy to help. I recently had to stop riding my bike due to illness and was unable to speak on the phone or contact through email due to my circumstances; This caused problems with my bank and therefore direct debits did not go through. As i was unable to pay the bill a charge was added to my account of £40 without my usual payment (usual monthly being £25 without charge) About a week after that i got a phonecall asking for payment in excess of £65, and after explaining my circumstances they stopped my insurance instantly and left me with no bill to pay. A massive weight off my mind, and a very understandable company within reason :D thank you very much.. and Lesson learned, MCE will be the company i go to if i need a new policy..

Got a renewal email with no value on it clicked the link to renew at the bottom of the page which takes you through a new online quote, which came out at £132, ok I thought. I called them back to renew over the phone "no problem they Said" went through all the questions again "just waiting for the price" it came out at £185. I then pointed out that I had done the online quote which was £132 why the difference? "that's the price" I repeatedly asked why was there a difference of over £50 all the girl kept repeating was "that's the price" I told them I wont be renewing and went with Bennets, I wonder how long before I get my NCD history? if I do get the run around it will be the insurance ombudsman for me. In conclusion Shoddy don't use

Mce cancelled my insurance for non payment even though when the payment was to be taken I had more than enough in my account and there is no record on my end of the attempted collection, however when they sent me an email the day it was to be cancelled I rang them up straight away to ask if they could give me a week or so to pay them as its near impossible to get money in in 1 hour but they kept telling me there was nothing they could do. Won't be using them again even if they are the cheapest I can find
