My order did not arrive as expected. Left a few extra days as everyone is busy under current circumstances. Tried to trace order online but order number was not valid. Contacted customer service who said they had lost my order and would refund me in 5-7 days leaving me with no food for my 2 dogs and no money to buy any with! Thanks for nothing!

Pets At Home Lying to costumers about not accepting Cash. Pets At Home claims World Health Organisation recommended Card payments only as Cash transfers Corona Virus. (An Outrageous Lie) World Health Organisation NEVER said that and Cash Money does not transfer Corona (Check for yourselves) Pets At Home stated that it stopped taking cash "To protect its staff" Another outrageous Lie, because none of the staff was issued with any Masks or "Glass Guards by the till" or any other protective measure. Pets At Home, taking advantage of the Corona Pandemic to pass the NO CASH policy in all its stores to serve its own agenda and nothing else, while doubling their prices. Avoid buying from this company as it is taking advantage of you during these difficult times.

Very poor advice from staff regarding care of hamsters. Cages sold are far too small and only useful as an emergency cage. Russian dwarves are being sold in pairs with no guidance that they sometimes need to be separated due to fighting..which is more likely to occur in small cages. They only care about profit!

As a disabled customer with my husband as my carer , I was not allowed to enter the Durham Arniston store because they have a strict one person per family rule. This is despite the fact that I explained I could not shop on my own as I couldn’t carry purchases because I was using elbow crutches . I had to sit outside in the disabled space with the blue badge displayed while my husband went in, which was very upsetting and frustrating. There were only 3 customers in the store so plenty of space . All disabled customers need to be aware they will not be allowed to enter a store with one other person - that is their policy . This is despite their website claiming they do everything they can to help vulnerable customers - as long as they don’t try to shop there!

Manager "Lewis" Hates Animals At Pets At Home Hemel Hempstead branch. Hates animals. He refused to accept cash £5 only in exact change. (Cards only) Company Head office closed its telephone lines to save money. Health world Org. did not state "Do Not take cash" this is not true. Our 19 year Old rescue cat who is a fussy eater (Only likes Lilly Kitchen) will sleep Hungry tonight. Pets At homes likes the profits from Pets, but in reality Hates them. See many reviews complaining about branch managers rude attitude. The store manager's behaviour is a reflection of Company Directors " A Fish always rots from the head down"

With this whole Corona virus apart from 2m tape markers on the floor only one staff had disposable gloves on! No masks, no gloves. Other retail stores have masks/head shield visors and till visors! Pets at home have nothing other than counting people. No one way system, and you cant physically keep 2m distance as there isnt enough room! The staff stand close together because they have no choice two people on the check out and there is not 2m between them with no PPE it's not a safe store at the moment! I will be ordering my cat food online.

I use pets at home regularly for my elderly dog and cat, most of the time they have all my essentials I'm local so tend to not use any other pet shop as it's more convenient for me but on several occasions I've noticed when its busy a bell is rung for other staff to help and I've been served by the store manager (said on her badge) and I couldn't believe her tone in voice, she had a bad attitude and on leaving she rudely said "see ya bye" like she hated to be there. There was a change in staff behaviour in a negative way when she came to the till bell. There are a few lovely staff members who are very polite and helpful. Just disappointing there isnt more of those in the store.

Absolutely wonderful service at Pets At Home Rochdale yesterday. My vet has closed and I was given the best advice on worming and Flea treatment for my small dog. I asked about buying an appliance to trim my dog. Instead of trying to sell me something expensive, I was advised to wait while my dog groomer re-opened, and use a brush and comb to keep his coat tangle free. Thanks to the wonderful staff, my dog is no longer looking like a discarded mop head

All workers in Brentford today were Such a brilliant team of staff, happy to assist me, and give advice. The gentleman on the till was so warm, and had great customer service mannor. The manager was super helpful with my query. Thank you for your excellent service (5.4.2020) + keeping your spirits up whilst working at such an unknown, worrying time.

I'm writing on behalf of my friend Maz (Marilyn). She was trying to get essential supplies for her cats a couple of weeks ago, while confined to a wheelchair, and Charlotte (Bolton, Manchester Road branch) bent over backwards to help her. More recently Charlotte enquired how Maz was doing. If there's an employee award she should get it.

Pets at home need better trained staff and need to care for their animals better. On 2 seperate occasions i have had hamsters from them, and it was unfortunately evident that they were unwell. The first hamster had mites and mange, and the second had lymphoma and was covered in cancerous tumours on her belly!! They are kept in such tiny glass cages and are obviously never checked on. When i asked about their history, they knew nothing about them. They also aren't advising the correct advice on hamster care. Please do noy buy an animal from them as you will just be supporting a company that only care for money and not the animals. Go to an individual and reputable rehoming centre.

my sister bought 2 BOY Robo hamsters from pets at home and they let her, with the cage and everything. Boy hamsters should not be together as they will fight to the death. Needless to say, we only have 1 hamster left now. I bought a gecko from them a while ago and they told me all I needed was a heat mat, not a uv lamp? needless to say, gizmo is now gone too:(

Ordered cat food to be delivered in store on 26th February. I received an email to advise that it would be available on 1st march. Didn't arrive till 3rd march tried phoning customer service what a joke held on for over 10minutes on 3 occasions they didn't answer phone. Communication very poor for such a reputable company. Will not order from them again.

I am absolutely disgusted with pets at home cannock store on the orbital island. I cannot fathem how disgusted i am with their actions. We came in 3 days ago to look at a beaitiful bunny called rosie. We immediately fell in love with her but we're told we couldn't adopt her that day and she was only avaliable on monday 9 am. Over the cource of the next 3 days we bought £70 worth of rabbit housing equipment from the same store as rosie. Monday came and at 9 am my girlfriend waitied outside the store along side another man who wanted her too. My girlfriend who already had the box to take her away was refused sale of the rabbit. The manager was given orders by her superior to not sell the rabbit at all. The rabbit was taken of the shelf and we were told she was being transferred to a different store and shouldnt have been on the shop floor in the first place until she was ready to be adopted. they then refused to disclose any information on where she was going. This is absolutely disgusting as the manager had the audacity to blame her staff for breaking policy. How dare they allow you to get to love an animal and on the day of her adoption refuse to sell her, substituting her to be moved around like an object. The fact that we aren't allowed to know anything about the rabbits location is appauling and it shines a massive light on the unprofessional behaviour. The superior management would rather transfer a bunny with a harsh past around and not allow anybody in the cannock area have her either. This company have the final say on the welfare of an animal that they have never even seen. There has to be action taken against this store and the top paid manager that thinks its ok to rip a loved animal from a loving home when she was seconds away from being adopted. Disgusting that they think a full refund for the cage ect. is ok when its already set up in our home. All of this simply because two people wanted the same rabbit at the same time.

Don't buy pets from Pets at Home, staff there haven't got a clue - and why on earth do they ask so many questions and take you're details - no PROPER aquatic shops question you or take details. I wouldn't normally buy any fish or animals from there, due to how sick they're fish normally look, but felt the need to 'rescue' 2 tiny baby fancy goldfish from there today (as I've never seen fancy goldfish for sale so little) - only to have to argue with the staff member who was originally refusing to sell them to me, as she had misheard how many fish were already in my tank. She then said that she was only concerned with the welfare of their animals! Lol, if they were that concerned about animal welfare why are most of their fish sick and why are they happy to sell hamsters, rats, rabbits & guinea pigs in cages that are far too small and in some cases a safety risk to the animals!!! I'll be shopping for goods and pets elsewhere in future.
