Disaster ….

Had a car crash into me which was not my fault so car went in for repairs. Only half of the repairs were completed which the garage detected on examination. I am still waiting for this work to be completed many weeks later after lodging 3 futher complaints so now talking to trading standards then financial ombudsman to investigate. Be careful with QMH as they don't do the full repairs or indeed acknowledge complaints.

Where Quote Me Happy has any more than one star appears to be based on the prices they quote to get your custom. Cheapest is not always best, however, as claiming is a different matter altogether. The storm on 18 February removed ridge tiles and put them through the roof of our conservatory. Phoning Quote Me Happy just gives you a claim number, you're on your own to get emergency repairs and quotes for repairs. You are then bounced between the owner of Quote Me Happy, Aviva, and their claims handling company, Home Repair Network Limited (HRNL). After a lot of questions and photos I was rung by HRNL asking if I was content with a figure they had dreamt up. I was outside at the time without access to the quotes but this figure sounded suspiciously low. I asked if this figure was the full amount of my claim minus my £600 excess. I was told that it was. A few days later a random figure appeared in my bank account, around 60% of my claim. I wrote to Quote Me Happy on 1 April asking for clarification as to whether this was an interim payment but received no reply other than to be copied on an internal email. I emailed HNRL again today, 3 May, and received a reply giving their settlement figure breakdown and informed me, for the first time, that the VAT element would be paid after the work was done. However, without the courtesy of any correspondence they have unilaterally underpaid my claim leaving me £388.68 out of pocket (in addition to my £600 excess). I have never experienced such bad customer service. One to avoid (unless you are really confident that you won't ever have to claim)! Financial Ombudsman Service is my next stop.

Awful claim service. No help whatsoever just referred to a loss adjustor. You have to do everything yourself and then they pay out (hopefully). They rely on a clause in the policy that allows them to just pay money out rather than handle any delaings with builders etc. Homeowners of a certain age are just not equipped in later life to become "clerk of the works" to get repairs done. A very poor low quality insurer

Do not use these guys. When we did finally get someone on phone, he said " I'm not customer service but sounds like wear and tear"...so someone not related to CS is making decisions without actually waiting on car being reviewed??!😂. They do not respond to emails , I've sent 4 now and they do not answer the phone. God help anyone who has an accident. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

Swerve these! Shocking how bad. 0/5 if I could. Policy documents never sent to me despite using the link to request them and sending numerous emails (they do not have a phone number to call), absolute sh*t show! Currently not able to change car on policy due to not having policy number, no one to call, rendered policy useless. Unbelievable how someone can operate a business a such. Avoid at all costs! Con artists. How can you not have a number to call!? I sent a timebound notice to the ceo saying if they dont contact me then im walking away from the policy and im not paying any fees because of a breach of contract on their part.

1 star is too many for this company. I believe that anyone who genulnely left a 5 star review, must never have had to make an insurance claim through Quote Me Happy (QMH) a more approriate name for this compant ought to be Make Me Unhappy as that is certianly what happened to me when they took over 3 months to reapir my car which was involved in a no fault accident and had Minior damage to the front bumper, drivers wing and door and the Alloy wheel. The lack of communication beteween the partner companies that Quote me happy uses is jus unbelievable. I discoverd my car sat for over 6 weeks having nothing done to it in cmpound full of mainly written off cars. as Copart who for some reason had take my car away for assesment , even though, on the claims forms, I entered online' I clearly stated the car was still driveable without any major issues ( I drove it home over 80 miles from the scene of the accident) . Copart told me they clearly indicated they had told QMH the car was repairable and only after 6 weeks did i phone up Coopart and find this out as I had an email and phone call from Copaert a week after they recieved the car, to tell me it was repairable , at the same time they had informed QMH. However QMH denied recieving this communication and had done nothing and as I did not know the process here, i assumed my car was being reapired during this time and may have been awaitioing for parts or something similar. THis was not the case and nothing had been done ata all. I had to make a load of calls to get to this stsge and then I got passed from pillar to post to get the repair done by a Garage that is only 2 miles from my home. Yet the car was now in a yard over 30 miles from my home . Then there where furthe delays over getting the car released from Copart and transported to the garage that eventually repaired the car . Appraently QMH had to pay Copart for storage of my car and transporting it to them and their was a dely in QMH paying for this. I think the Garage after reciving the car repaired it to very high standard in under a week. By the end of this process, I felt I should have just taken my car to the loacal garage myself and paid for the repair myself and forgotten about the insurance claim it woul possibly have been cheaper than the Excess, quicker and far lsss stressful . I certainly will not be renewing my Insrance with QMH or Aviva its parent company after reading about the many eother reviews here, which obviously QMH or Aviva don't care about or thin a 2 Star Review and 27% rating are a good review score. Don't believe their sob story that it is the pandemic which is causing these problems either.

Customer service seems non existent. Surely the pandemic can't still be the excuse?? I'm changing my car in a few days and have a problem with the timing of the new vehicle insurance. It's a problem I can't do online. I've emailed twice now and I'm still waiting for a response. In the meantime I've received another quote that is very competitive so if Quotemehappy doesn't get their finger out, I will be going elsewhere with my new vehicle and cancelling my existing policy completely.

No contact from Insurers, no repairs carried out since Storm Arwen to date and we are now on March. Impossible to contact by phone, it took three days to log the initial complaint and appalling customer service even when submitting a complaint. We are now approaching the Omudsmen. Avoid like the plague!

Recently I had to claim for lost keys, only to discover that i wasn't covered, as my key did not have the quotemehappy tag on it. As this had been the spare keys and the tag was on the main set of keys. This was my fault as I had not read the small print, I should have requested an extra tag. Then to receive a letter from keycare. stating if I wish to make a claim in the future, I need to provide proof that I had replaced my keys. As I'd already moved on with my life and just put it down to a bad experience and promise to be more careful in the future. I would caution all those who take out insurance quote me happy to make sure you read all the small print, and for anybody who uses key care I would advise against this. but those of with key care already I wish you good luck.

My wife's car was stationary when hit in a rear end shunt. Reporting the claim to QMH they authorised its removal to storage and there it's been for more than 6 weeks. Yesterday they advised that due to a technicality they now refuse liability for the repair. Unbelievable!! We are now reporting QMH's actions to the Insurance Ombudsman.

If there were 0.5 stars, i would give it that. YOU CANNOT GET HOLD OF PHYSICAL PERSON ON THE PHONE. I believe they are not based in uk. Someone scraped my car and left a note giving me all their details. They booked a garage which is 2 hours away. Now the garage is saying I need to pay for the repairs? PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, THEY DO NOT KNOW UK POLICY. AND CONTACTING THEM IS VERY VERY DIFFICULT. ANY ISSUE WITH YOUR CAR? any accidents? Might as well get your own lawyer.

Don't touch this company with a barge pole. Purchased car insurance in November for a year but purchased a different car and went to amend the details only for it to say I don't have a policy with them. I have a copy of the cover note but after emailing them for over 24 hrs I've now had to purchase new insurance in order for me to drive my car. They ask what went wrong....it was me actually going on their website to get insurance in the first place....STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY

Beware tho. I moved to a new build house and they would not insure it so told me to cancel which cost £33. I don't think I should have had to pay cancellation fee as it was them who were not prepared to insure my new build which also had the standard 10 Yr guarantee and was probably less of a risk than my old house. They are still looking into this.....tbc?? There is NO facility to phone the company for this as far as I could see.
