Its great they are back open. We both needed a 'directors chair with side table'. We found it and bought two, they were on offer.The staff member at the front door, asked what we were looking for, and pointed us in the right direction. The staff are always willing to help with a smile and willing to have a laugh. Husnand scout leader and me beimg a guide leader , we always appreciate you

Omg this is awful ; surely they can’t get away with lies all the time . My bike has also gone ‘missing’ DHL please stop dealing with them . This is so unfair:(

Dear Gooutdoors, i feel someone needs to make their voice heard and unless you can show me evidence that my bike was indeed lost i will spend every day talking about my experience wherever i can and i just won't stop until a manger gets on the phone to me and does something about it. I also feel like i have a moral obligation to do something after now reading many others also have had the same issues as me My Story: Covid 19 and the lockdown has been very difficult for many people in different ways and i am sure everyone has there own story. I live alone and have not seen anyone for weeks and have found this period particularly hard. I decided two weeks ago that i would start getting fit during this time and after 20 years ordered a brand new bike from your website. I didn't cheap out and try and buy from a non reputable website (i know your company turns over about £200m a year i did my research), second hand or ebay. I just wanted to place the order with a company that I thought was reputable and wait for delivery. Here is a time line of my experience 1) Ordered on a sunday night may 10th. There website has very strange delivery dates so i waited patiently trying to understand bikes are in high demand yet at the same time there is less people working (i also work in a e-commerce distribution company as well so i can see first hand how things are)3) Around one week later when i didn't hear anything i called their landlines and found out they are not taking calls. I also reached out by email and also facebook messenger as well. Every day i would get a different message related to this delivery by sms and also by fb messenger. I asked for a refund so that i could spend this money with another company and they REFUSED. they said there system just won't allow a refund. Surely there are laws against this? I will now be looking into this4) Eventually i got a email saying my bike is being delivered and a tracking number. The next day i sat at the delivery address like a little child waiting for delivery of my new toy. I then got a sms saying your order has not been sent and that the company is working to get this out and  this delay is because of covid 19... I then asked on fb messanger why i have a tracking number if the bike has not been sent. They assured me it's on the way and i just need to wait one more day which i did5)  I waited Thursday and Friday when i could of just been earning money but i wanted this bike so much6) Today is saturday the 23rd of May, i wanted to believe a company could not be this ruthless and hoped my bike world turn up. I then wasted more time on messenger asking if this bike would arrive and they told me it's been lost. HOW CAN a bike be lost? why cant they give me another bike ? I am in complete shock at their service. I dont wish any business or brand any harm but unless they can show me evidence that it was really lost i wont stop and i will keep doing everything i can to make sure others dont go through the same experience i did. I believe they have probably lied and know how to cheat the tracking system. I would like evidence that my bike was indeed lost or i will not stop until this company gets a formal investigation.  Saying that i am upset at the way they have treated me would be an understatement

We went to buy a tent , we understand fully- regards the covid situation and we were told to go in twos , even though four of us in the same car and same house , (Two daughters me and husband).Ok yes that’s fine we follow the rules. As we didn’t have loads of time we decided to go home but return later after we had discussed what we were going to buy. When we went back ,the chap on the door said , only two at a time we said yes that’s fine , then he proceeded to say ,” my manager yelled at me earlier because he said you joined up together when you came In earlier “ which we didn’t. So we said stuff it then and left , I am a nhs nurse and know all the rules . Incidentally we didn’t go near anyone else in the empty shop and we know how to keep our distance, what a jobs worth , but never mind , we will spend the £500 elsewhere, their loss

Order placed 13 May (£720 spent) Order placed 13 May (£720 spent) Given dispatch email and tracking however DHL advised you didnt actually have a parcel ready for collection. So now I'm stuck in limbo with no response on emailsand a useless tracking number. Where is my order?? Order number 677845195 Edit - Gooutdoors have emailed me yesterday to state that DHL do have my parcel and that the delay is their end. Called DHL today to confirm this and they are adamant that they do not have anything from yourselves.  You are leaving customers stuck in limbo with no idea of where their orders or money are.  I would like someone to contact me regarding this ASAP to resolve the situation. You cannot treat customers in the way you are currently doing with regards to taking orders and not fulfilling them.

I placed an order for a £100 item in stock. I have received 5 txt messages saying "no need to contact us, we are on it" yet a week late, no item, and not a single response to three emails.

ordered a bike - It arrived late (no communication until the day it is meant to arrive). When it finally arrives it is the wrong bike! They sent completely the wrong bike, there is a significant difference in color, type, and price. Now the team will reply asking for an order number then you don't hear back from them, its just so awful. Im now over a grand out of pocket, stuck with the wrong bike and receiving no support. I would love to ride this Bank Holiday but we all know that wont be happening.

To cut a long story short, just don't shop with this awful company. I ordered a bike, took nearly 2 weeks to find out it actually wasn't in stock. They are still listing it as in stock. I'm not even going to get into the lack of communication and everything else. They are the worst. Avoid at all costs.

Where do I even begin. This company has hit rock bottom . I ordered a bike 3rd May , 5-7 working days ( can’t blame civic-19 as every other company is delivering fine ) on day seven I received the first ‘ we’re sorry your order is running late ‘ message . Then 2 more the next two days . Contacted customer services by email and Facebook who advised order is still processing . Received an email on day 12 stating order is on its way with DHL tracking number - checked tracking number on DHL website who said they had received package and delivery was due 14th May (next day) , checked again on due date to get a message stating ‘ we are sorry but we don’t appear to have recieved consignment from the supplier’ What the hell is going on ????!! I do not recommend this company . Definitely read all reviews before taking my word for it .

I placed an order on the 3rd of may, I have had three messages telling me there is a delay in my order. So I have tried calling to which they tell me I have to email. So I email customer support which takes up to 48 hours for a response, they tell me that due to the global pandemic there has been a delay in my order. It is now the 12th of may I have asked go outdoors to cancel my order because there are plently of companies on the internet that are not experiencing delays due to the global pandemic. The response has that they cant cancel an order once it has been placed I have to wait until it gets shipped and then return the items, but they cant tell me when it will get shipped. Avoid Go outdoors during the GLOBAL PANDEMIC.

Only gave them 1 star as can't give a zero star review! Clearly it has all gone wrong for them. I have been waiting two weeks for a bike and tent. No contact at all. Finally managed to get a response via Facebook but fobbed off with 'it is awaiting dispatch'. Asked to speak to a manager and then hit a message to say the order had been cancelled! There are major issues with Thier customer service and I will never shop there again!

Store location 1440 assistant Heather. Excellent service in Preston from Heather. She spent a long time with me when I bought walking boots and wellies last week. She was patient and helpful and very pleasant. I don’t like buying footwear but Heather made it all ok.

I bought a pair of Merrell Moab 2 ven walking shoes on the 5th Feb 2020. Yesterday was the firs5 time I wore them in anything wet. The walk was in wet grass, not raining or standing water even.. These shoes are stated to be waterproof by Go Outdoors. By the time I had finished my walk my feet were soaking. Not through any hole but through the upper layer. I cannot go into the store as I am high risk for Covid 19 so I sent an email to their customer services.. The response was pretty much ‘tough, we cannot deal with this, you have to go into the store’. But they stated due to the Covid 19 they would extend the period to do this, nothing else, no timescales or anything. Last time I will purchase from go outdoors. Customer service is terrible and product information not correct

Drove to coatbridge to collect a jacket I had ordered online.arrived to an eerily deserted store, discovered 1 staff member who eventually announced that there was no trace of the jacket & that it had " probably been sold " . no apology , no interest in what had happened. Worst customer service ever and my last visit to go outdoors.

1340 blackburn , Gary in the fishing department is the jewel in the crown at that store , fantastic advice really helpfull and a really friendly guy who just wants to help in any way he can top bloke

We went for trousers, jacket and snood and our helpful member of staff was able to meet our requirements on two items and give direction on the third. Another member of staff was able to help us on a different enquiry. A very good experience.

don't waste your money faulty product I bought a highlander serenity 350 mummy carp bag first night zipper broke frozen my @## off cost me 40 quid in taxi in the rain to take back to go outdoors they gave me another bad as a replacement this one made it 2 night same issue broken zipper so now I'm broke stuck with a bag that doesn't zip up freezing cold so now I have to come up with another 40 quid just to take the bag back for a replacement this will be $150.00 so far spent on this bag save your money buyer beware this product sucks

I ordered a jacket in cerise but recieved a black one instead, called up and an advisor said that the cerise wasnt in stock so thats why they sent the black one. She sent me a returns label to return this item, i told them i wanted a full refund P&P included as this was through no fault of my own.I had a look on website and cerise jacket still coming up in stock, i called back up and got another advisor, i explained everything to him and i didnt want to re order the cerise and they send out the black again, he had a look and there were more than 14 in stock, i was extremely disappointed to be told a lie by previous advisor. I went on to wedsite and emailed my complaint about this advisor,I ordered the cerise jacket and low and behold got it delivered today and guess what another black jacket sent, called them back up and explained again, im waiting on the advisor contacting the wear house to see what the problem is, i specifically put on email to deliver the right coloured item, so in future i would think twice about ordering from here as they cant seem to send out the proper item requested.

I was really happy with my trip to go outdoors everything that we needed was really easy to find and they had plenty of selection to with the different colours and range of walking shoes. I would 100% recommend anyone to go to go outdoors for there outdoor equipment and we are returning this weekend to purchase a coat and walking equipment for our dog Bella. We used the store in Warrington store location 1359.
