“Simply terrible and unprofessional. I had booked a flight on Gotogate for a flight from Adelaide to Melbourne for 30th July. The flight was cancelled. On the first call to Gotogate, I was told that even though the flight was cancelled by the airline, I would not be receiving any refunds. Since then, they have ignored all my calls and emails. Deplorable!!”
“This company is a complete scam. DO NOT EVER PURCHASE A TICKET FROM THIS COMPANY. I have been waiting months for a refund on my plane tickets and they keep sending me in circles. The customer service sucks as there is no one else to speak with to help me get a refund. When I first booked my tickets through them they gave me a false order number. When I went to request a refund, the ticket was non-existent. Any team member that I got in contact with was not able to help me in any way. I also used exploretrips which gave me my money back with no issues. GOTOGATE IS A FRUAD AND HAS TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.”
“Booked a flight to go to Paris in March through gotogate to fly on NorweginAir. It was obviously cancelled because of the pandemic. I got ONE email from gotogate that was just a forwarded Norwegian email saying my flight was cancelled. Like any other person, I went to check the gotogate website to see what I could do for a refund and it basically said don’t contact them because they already have such a high volume of calls/emails so just let them handle things. My fault for still not calling in right then and there. I put in a claim with Norwegian for a refund just in case and I got no response so I assumed I needed to be more patient with the current circumstances. It’s now July and I still haven’t heard anything so I called Norwegian, they said it was already refunded but the card they read wasn’t mine. Norwegian explained its likely because I used a 3rd party travel agency. So I called gotogate, was on hold for about 20 minutes, and was told they’d have to contact Norwegian first to confirm my flight was cancelled so they could process the refund And I’d get an email when that happened. Well it’s been a week since then, still waiting for the email. How long should this take when it’s already been 4 months since the flights were cancelled and Norwegian said it’s already been refunded..”

“Bad contact service !!! Yesterday I was informed that my Alitalia flights of 15 July, from London to Catania, were canceled. I spent hours on the phone, they moved me from one department to the other, keeping me waiting. In the end I had no answer, I wrote an email and I hope m money will return. Dos meses despues y despues de multiples emails que se quedaron sin respuesta, llame al servicio de attencion al cliente. Despues de una espera de 30 minutos (con costes de llamada, por supuesto), me contestaron. La persona hablaba muy mal el idioma, casi no entendi lo que me decia. Despues de ponerme en espera otra vez por 10 minutos para "comprobar", me dijo que no sabe si han recibido la transferencia y que otro equipo maneja esto y ellos me enviaran un email en cuanto hayan procesado el reembolso. Ademas de tener que preguntar varias veces porque no entendia lo que me explicaba, el senor me seguia interrumpiendo y levantando la voz. No hace falta decir que aun no he recibido mi dinero. I've waited many hours on the phone, and a few times after a long wait, I got to somebody!!!! but this person would eventually pass me on to somebody else who invariably would never respond.
I also paid extra money for flexible ticket and Airhelp plus flight delay compensation but so far nothing. A complete rip-off.
So far, no refund, no changed ticket, no voucher, no reply, no solution, just hours on the phone on hold.”

“Booked an internal flight in Canada as part of a trip, which for obvious reasons, was cancelled. Go To Gate have refused to answer my emails, or my attempts to contact them via the online form on their site. The only contact i have been given is to tell me that i have to rebook my flight, which is obviously not possible. They are refusing to contact me to discuss any kind of a refund.
Absolutely avoid this nonsense third party ticket company in future; TravelUp, BA, Hotels.Com, Canadian Affair, and Air Canada were all a part of the trip we had planned and all (almost) immediately either refunded me, contacted me with refund information, or issued vouchers to be redeemed on a new trip.”

“The company Gotogate.com ie part of the E-traveli group are tricksters and do not consider taking their service. My trip in Europe in April was cancelled due to the COVID 19 pandemic since the countries stopped issuing new visa to the tourists. There were mass cancellations of the flights by the airline company themselves and so the company were issuing refunds on such cancelled flight tickets.
Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) has yet to refund me internal tickets in Europe though but they have been quite grateful to attend a person and provide them a 100% refund on tickets booked directly on their site.
For some reason why I had booked tickets internally via SAS directly for their flight and through an e-aggregator GoToGate.com for the same SAS flight.
Now comes the scam of GoToGate, due to mass cancellations even they have to refund the amount on tickets paid. They are such thieves that when they get a 100% refund from airlines (ie SAS gives 100% refund on tickets cancelled by them) they shall impose a fee of refund ie refund processing fee to the tune of 40-50% of the ticket value paid to get the refund.
They have the worst customer service team who in first place do not pick up the phone and keep you waited for almost an hour - which means anything like this happens plan to keep all your work aside and put time fighting to get the little money what they shall give.
They shall come up with such weird policies that they charge a fee to give refund. It too odd to have a company charge a fee for refunding an amount for which service wasn't delivered. Now these tricksters and none but thieves who shall device ways to get more money from their customers and give the most pathetic service in return or even no service at all.
They do not reply to emails and if they do you would be very lucky, they have replied to just 1 mail mine from dozens of mails being sent to them.
They are tricksters and thieves who shall extract the full from customers and give no service and they is really no way to fight them hard since they don't care to respond. My honest review is that I have burnt my fingers from such a pathetic experience and lost money too and got irritated, wasted hours, consider booking directly from the airline than an aggregator especially such thieves like Gotogate.com.
Before trusting anyone just google their reviews and see reviews of such companies on trip advisor to avoid such scamsters.”
“I am unable to get either refund or any answer from Gotogate after cancellation my flights due to COVID. All my support tickets are closed without explanations with some statement like "you agreed to get voucher". I am unable to get any voucher too. Really bad company - don't even get close to!”
