I bought a stereo head unit from a branch in Leicester in July including fitting. I received numerous text reminders and on the day as well stating that fitting was ready. When I went some parts did not arrive so I was fuming and so cancelled my order. In August I bought another stereo head unit and booked for fitting today but at a different store in Leicester. So I phoned the Halfords phoneline yesterday just to confirm and was told that all was ok. I went this morning and guess what? Again they couldn't find my stereo. So again I cancelled my order. What a bunch of amateurs. Halfords management you need to employ better trained staff not just on the phone line but in store.

Awful experience. Turned us away for a bike rack fitting after we had booked online The booking itself took 3 hours of back and forth with an awful support team as you're not able to call the store directly, but apparently that was all for nothing anyway. After deciding to try and fit ourselves, the recommended rack for our car obscures the lights and the plate making it unusable. Patronising, unhelpful staff. Ruined weekend. Thanks Halfords!

Wanted a car trailer, halfords no longer keep them in store so had to order online. Promised delivery on the 30th August, no delivery. Phoned helpline/customer service number (Indian call centre) told to ring day after if it hadn’t arrived. No trailer so rang again to be told it was with the courier and would be delivered on the 3rd. Rang courier and they confirmed, had text message on the 3rd saying it was delayed, rang the courier and they said they don’t have the item in their warehouse so can’t deliver it, rang customer services again and got told it was with the courier!!!! What an absolute joke of a service!!!! Told them to cancel the order and return the money, had to wait for a ring back and got told it was too late to get it cancelled but they would see what when wrong and get it cancelled but could take over a week for my refund….. have cancelled the transaction with my credit card company and will NEVER use halfords again as absolutely shocking service

October 2019 bought an assist E bike , The problem is front wheel and the wear groves was not told when worn out replace the rim . It broke off but luckily did not go into brake pads .So now in the hands of trading standards ,other assist users out there I urge to approach trading standards in Worcester prevent bad accident

Purchase a e bike from these muppets battery should last 60 miles only managed 25miles, so I took the bike back to Halfords in Coalville at the start of July 21. To this day 24th August I still not got my e bike back.I telephoned their service department which is in South Africa several times with no answer to when my bike will be ready. So I’ve been into Halfords 3 times to see what’s happening and nobody knows where my bike is or been repaired or replaced. Such poor service from Halfords Steve Marsden

In April 2021 Halfords had a promotion whereby if you made a purchase in the store you would get a voucher for a free MOT which was valid until November 2021. I made my purchase and asked for the voucher, I was told it would be emailed to me. It never arrived, Over the next month or so I phoned the number on the receipt several times and was assured that they would pass my details to the store manager who would call me by the end of the day. They did not phone, ever. I also visited the store where I made the purchase (twice), again despite promises nothing happened. This went on for months, not once did they contact me. I finally demanded details of their complaints department an sent an email. They sent an arrogant, bordering on rude reply saying that the offer had expired in June 2021 and they would not be sending me a voucher. I sent them written proof that the promotion stated that the offer was valid until November 2021. They are now ignoring my emails and refusing to honour the offer. Their customer service is appalling and they deserve to be shamed for their action (or lack thereof).

Halfords are nearly a week late with my online delivery and they reply or resolve the issue, want a refund and they won't get on top of that either, says still being picked for a week, terrible customer service.

Terrible service took a faulty e scooter back after 5 months of very little use they didn’t care ,didn’t want to help and just said it’s not our responsibility as it’s the manufacturer’s .Thought they could of at least tried to arrange repair at the manufacturer themselves very poor practices and poorly trained staff

Very poor service Took my car for the Halford FREE air conditioning check. Arrived at the booked appointment time , told to wait. 50 mins later a staff member started checking the air conditioning with a gauge, 30 mins later said " that be £50" I mentioned the free air conditioning check and he said I've regassed it . To be fair about the matter I agreed to pay the £50 but he should asked me. Next day air Conditioning stopped working so I phone the manager who said he will book into their auto centre down the road where they fix the leak and regas at no further cost. I phoned the auto halfords and checked my car booked in and was advised it was booked it but the check for a leak and re gas would cost, hence complete lie from the customer service. The centre also said their retail halfords stores are rubbish don't know what their doing. Wow!!! I phone the manager at retail store and he said bring car back in. He put extra gas in and we left. Week later air conditioning was not working hence clearly there is a leak. I wrote a complaint head office with no reply, I sent 3 letters until finally manager phoned me and AGAIN asked bring car back in 4th time. Went back 4th time and demanded a refund . The manager insisted there no leak, I said why is the gauge reading low and it was filled the gauge showed high... I finally got a refund but it took 3 letters , 4 trips , 6 hours my time, fuel and some debating. Unfortionately no one from head office bothered 9phoning me. I've shopped at halford for years for my boat and car but after this experience I vowed to never spend another penny in a halfords stores. Its all about money , their no service and their knowledge of cars is appalling

Poor customer service I come to Halfords today to get something for my car. And I saw a lady member of staff stood around so I went and asked her for her help, I found her very rude and she wasnt helpful or engaging with wanting to help me, she did not seem bothered if I was going to purchase from the store and I find this very unprofessional, I found this very unwelcoming to a store where the staff know customers need help, the other staff in seemed very engaged and like they wanted to help the customers they was speaking with but Scarlett (I believe her name was in thetford) did not seem at all interested in helping, as working in retail I would not be impressed if Scarlett worked in my store . I would not recommend going back to Halfords Thetford if this is the service I am going to receive. You should be ashamed

Shocking,ordered parts on a Friday and was assured that they would be in by the following Tuesday so I organised with my mechanic to drop the car off on Wednesday but Tuesday came and not even a call to tell me that the order will take another week,Shocking.

wife bought a stereo for grandsons birthday , when it arrived i opened it to find Halfords idear of safe packaging is to stuff the stereo into a box diagonally and seal box , no other form of packaging or restraint , just hope it works . Halfords were good once but now just a waste of space, will not be using again

So I turned up to get a chipped window repaired, booked two weeks ago. Got here but they had moved to next day without informing me (12 mile drive) said no good, staff became snotty after I said I'd wait for two hours. Disgusting service.

Shiptonthorpe, East Yorkshire, 12.50 Friday, 13 August. I have just avoided having a serious accident, which would have been caused by the drivers of one of your vans. He overtook an articulated lorry on a double white line in a 30 m.p.h village, causing both the lorry driver and I to have to brake hard and swerve to avoid a collision. This young male driver will undoubtedly cause an accident in future if he is not given training. When I tried to use Halfords' complaints service they wanted to charge me £5 to make a complaint. Is this a scam?

Terrible customer service , ordered motorbike battery 3 months ago, still not here, still have my money. A call to speak to store gets you an international call centre that tries to connect you always fails to put you through. Chased for 8 weeks. Filled in online complaint form, still no return even though I now have a case number, chased again and called in store ‘again’ , finally had the manager of the store call ‘George’ who promised me a battery , e-receipt came through , called in store to pick up, not there, asked to speak to ‘manager George’ …to be told there isn’t a ‘George’ , sent email to ‘customer services’ no return as yet , sent email to ‘Head office’ no return as yet ……SHAMBOLIC

Shoddy service. I asked for a new indicator bulb and to have it fitted. They were unable and didn't know how to remove the headlight assembly, a second guy came to help he could not remove it either but did manage to get his hand in to remove the bulb but then informed me they did not stock that particular one despite the fact they do on their website and that branch had it in stock. Apologised tightened up the headlight assembly and closed the bonnet, on arriving home with warning lights flashing in the car I decided to see what was wrong. They had not reconnected the wiring harness which was left dangling down together with the headlamp ventilation pipe. This meant the car was illegal and could have resulted in a fine or even an accident as it had no lights on one side. Halfords then emailed me for a review I gave them an honest review of the problems and guess what the review was rejected by their 'moderator' so patently only good reviews are published by them. Lack of honesty.

About three weeks ago I ordered a bottle of Fenwicks window wize scratch remover, online, click and collect, from Halfords in Leamington Spa. Order went fine until later when I received my e.receipt informing me that my bill was £0.00. No explanation whatsoever. Also included in the email was instructions on how to return the product if there was a problem. Very confusing. So I contacted customer service, to be told the store was temporarily out of stock but there would be a delivery in the next few days. Now. Three weeks later I contacted Halfords to check on stock of this item. After being put on hold I was then informed that Halfords in Leamington Spa did have stock of this item. I’ve just been to the store to purchase it only to be told “Sorry out of stock!” All in all, what an absolute waste of time. In my opinion Halfords need to pay higher wages to their employees……….if you pay peanuts then you get Monkeys, especially in the customer service department. Had to give one star because I couldn’t give less.

New battery broke down in 6 months. Claimed a replacement on the 5 year warranty, been refused. No reply from customer service on my complaint. Battery review on their website been refused to be published.

I got a bike assembled & delivered which I had to have looked at straight away by another place.I can only assume a monkey assembled it & I'll certainly never use the incompetent idiots again.AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!
