I just purchased my first home and bought a washer and dryer unit from home depot with delivery and installation. The first time they came to deliver, the delivery guys took dimensions in my stairway and everything was good until I inspected the unit and it was completely dented in the front. I refused the delivery and they scheduled a redelivery a week later. Second delivery comes and the guy looks at the stairs and immediately says this is not going to fit, I have to call my supervisor to "see what's going on". Long story short, I had to refuse that delivery and file a chargeback with my credit card as they wanted to just drop off the unit in my LIVING ROOM. This is ridiculous. I wasn't offered an apology or credit and the home depot person on the phone was rude, and hung up on me. Ended up at Lowes 2 hours later and purchased a $2k washer/dryer set with delivery 4 days later. No issues, paid more but received decent service which I'm happy to pay for. WILL NEVER USE HOME DEPOT EVER AGAIN. MY BROTHER IS BUYING A HOUSE AND LOOKING FOR ALL HIS APPLIANCES, HE'S GOING TO LOWES BECAUSE OF THIS. Screw you home depot, you lost multiple customers for life.

I specifically went to Home Depot to order a specific fridge. They took the order for the fridge, cooktop and pots and pans. We moved across the country so this was a critical part of the move. The day of the scheduled delivery - no one shows up. I called only to find out that the system cancelled my order. She said well this happens - no email, no phone call...just cancelled! A HUGE ORDER JUST CANCELLED! All that was offered was for us to reorder and its on back order until after Thanksgiving - its October 15th! I understand its COVID and things are on back order but that is why we ordered before we left so we would have this appliance in place at the right time! HORRIBLE HOME DEPOT JUST HORRIBLE! You can email me receipts, take our payments via our Home Depot credit card which emails me through the system but not email me when a very important order is cancelled via your system? Your system cancelled the order and now you make this my fault and situation to rectify! This is just awful of your company!

I see many customers reviewed the store as bad. That is the case where I am going against the public opinion of majority. I don't know company in the US with better customer service than Home Depot. Of course, there are some disadvantages. There are bad and sometimes even rude employees (mostly novices). However most of my visits to this store were more than great. No problems with returns, no problems with parking, no problems with restrooms, no problems with variety of tools available. Again, there are some disadvantages, but let's compare it with other stores. Lowes is overpriced, Walmart is persecuting its own customers (e. g. Walmart blocked my account without reasonable explanation), ACE is harassing customers just because of parking. Home Depot is the store I really love. Among competitors, it is the best. I wish the best to this company.

Ordered a dishwasher, long delay but I understand, day comes no delivery, despite getting a call saying it would be delivered. called waited a long time, sorry that was a mistake, no date to give you but we will call ASAP. No one called. followed up, Oh it's in our warehouse, we can deliver it in two days. Oh great, what about the install I paid for, go sorry now u have to wait another 3 weeks for that to happen. Installer will call you shortly, they never call, follow up, oh sorry it's 4 weeks now! Seriously what the hell kinda of system so they have going there? Never buying from them again. Be warned

This review isn't really about Home Depot but the contractors that do their installations. I bought an appliance and paid to have it delivered and installed. Try 1 it was delivered but the people who delivered were not the installers. I called the Home Depot number they rescheduled the installation. Try 2 was called the day before with my four hour window no one showed no one called. I called the Home Depot number they tried the contractors - they had left for the weekend. Scheduled it for a third try. They final arrived - with a second appliance. I got it installed but other than wear a mask they didn't do any of the COVID mitigation strategies that are shown in the video on the web page. When I called customer "care" to discuss all of the problems the person was patronizing and dismissive then hung up on me. Do yourself a favor and shop somewhere else.

Their website was again malfunctioning. Went to store to place order. The woman was by no means pleased to help. But did so anyways. She was upset to have to go back and change shipping location (should have asked home / store). For a 5 mile drive and free shipping. I want home. Oh well, get mad. They also do not honor military discount on web orders (even when their site is down and one makes a 5 mile drive) out of loyalty. Lowes gives militay for on line orders. All their discounts are tied to your phone number. No need to even carry your card with Lowes. Technology that Home Depot has not obtained. In S.C. the Depot lost over 75k in the construction of my home there for the lack of this technology. Used to be H.D. parking lot there was always full 6 yrs ago. Now there lot is mostly employee vehicles and Lowes lot is now a 1/4 mile walk. Think H.D. should consider a new CEO before its too late if not already. Shame, H.D. used to be my "go to store". Stores in S.C. refers to Anderson. Sad service is the N.Lauderdale in Fla.

Home Depot has my Vote! They made sure I was Satisfied with the way they handled my situation, I placed an online order and they went beyond customer service, answered all my questions and found an upgrade, of which the Manager approved..Hassle Free 👍 The other company didn’t care nor helped after 2 times of making a purchase.. Home Depot Does Care and has Plenty of People too help with any Situation 😀

If there is any chance the item you want to buy will not work for you (not the right fit, size, or defective), then I want to warn you not to buy the item from Home Depot. We purchased some items that were either not the right size or were defective, and they would not allow a return on the items less than a week later, because we had purchased them with store credit. We spoke with a manager, but their returns are controlled by a third party so the managers have no control and can do nothing for you. On top of that, most people working there don't even know how to help with the merchandise, nor do they try most of the time. Therefore, I wanted to share our experience to help save others from the hassles of Home Depot. You will not find these issues with Lowe's, Ace, or local hardware stores so please shop these merchants who really know how to treat the customer. This is exactly what we will be doing going forward.

It sucks when you place an order online for something that says "In stock" to find out a week later that they WEREN'T in stock and they won't have them for at least a month. Of all the things I bought for an upcoming event, Home Depot is the only company that I have purchased from that has given me a problem with everything I ordered from them. My gazebo... delayed. Lights... not in stock, even though they said they had them. Chairs... had to search high and low at every store to find some. Then when you go in to look for things for your patio... it's all gone... "Because it's out of season."... REALLY?? At the end of July? Beginning of August? People apparently don't go outside and spend time grilling or anything in the back yard by July. So thanks Home Depot... for being a big let down. P.s... if you DON'T have any in stock... and you haven't had any shipments in for months... then take it off your site... you can't sell what you don't have.

DO NOT ODER APPLIANCES FROM HOME DEPOT! I made the huge mistake of ordering a washing machine and refrigerator from Homedepot.com. My Fridge is not working correctly and I needed one quickly. Weeks after my order I received a call that said the washing machine will take another month to be delivered by the fridge is ready at the shipper. BUT- Home Depot's policy TO SAVE THEM MONEY is to only ship items together. I pleased but they said it's their policy- AND THEN THEY SAID- If I cancel the washing machine I can get the refrigerator delivered right away, so i did. Now, the day of delivery I call Homedepot to check the status and Iw as told, we're sorry...but the entire order was cancelled. And we didn't send you an email to let you know. I spoke to their resolution department...they admitted in their notes, it clearly says CANCEL WASHING MACHINE ONLY. And yet, they canceled the entire order. I spoke to the resolution department and said, this was 100% not my fault and I need Home Depot to get me that Fridge. They said it's back ordered for another month and a half...I demanded some form or restitution- they said they could give me a Home Depot gift card to purchase a "dorm fridge" for a few months...for a family of 6. So happy Home Depot has decided to save money by losing me forever as a customer!!!! Buy from Best Buy or PC Richards or LOWES...Home Depot does not care AT ALL for their customers and the woman I spoke to from corporate resolutions proved that- they do not care.

I called at 7:30 this morning inquiring about kitchen cabinets. The manager told me her cabinet guy came in at 9 and would be there until 6. I told her I was coming from Ashland, Ky and didn't want to waste a trip. She assured me he would be there and "worse case scenario, she could help me herself". My husband and I made the drive, arriving at 4pm. We were told that neither the cabinet guy nor the manager were there. We will not be back. Terrible customer service.

North Dartmouth store,today,4:30 pm. I was at check out, guy behind me not wearing mask. I Called for manager. Manager came over, saw man with no mask. Manager told me nothing he can do. Let man go through check out with no mask.

I ordered and had a dishwasher delivered on a Tuesday of August. I was told not to unbox or touch said dishwasher as it would no longer be under warranty if I did. I never touched the box as it sat in my dining room for an entire week. Once two installers came to my house the following monday to install my dishwasher, they noticed dents on the front and reported it right away. Home Depot is now saying that they will not accept the dishwasher or allow me to return the dishwasher. Why? I have no idea. I am currently seeking legal advice.

I am a little frustrated...We ordered a freezer in May with a delivery date of August 18th..The nearly $900 was withdrawn rom our checking account when we ordered it..we did not understand why we were paying for something that we would have to wait 3 months for but went with the flow..It is now August 14th and we are told delivery has been pushed back another 3 weeks to Sept. 5th..I called and was told there were people who had been waiting since March..WOW HOW INSENSITIVE..Ahh well welcome to the new norm..Considering that we bought a new dishwasher and Dryer right before the freezer we are going to have to think about who we buy from next time

Home Depot's home delivery on products is terrible. Ordered a vanity, and delivery was very late, and product came damaged. Returned damaged product and that took even longer. Ordered a second time, and delivery was lost...? Serious logistics issues at Home Depot!

I used to drive out of my way to shop there. Now I will never shop at any Home Depot again. Dan, the asst Manager is an arrogant ass that does not give a damn about customers or customer service. This used to be a great friendly store. Now it just plan sucks, the staff have a screw you attitude, likely fostered by Dan, who will tell you in no uncertain terms he does not give a damn about your business. He does not check to see if the item you need is in the back or at another store, "If it's not under the shelf, we don't have it. The warehouse is closed because of Covid-19, you don't like it get out" So I did, and went to my local Lowes, that was much closer, I only went out of my way to go to Home Depot, Orange City, because in the past I had world Class Customer Service, boy are those days gone. Interestingly Lowes had exactly what I was looking for, and even made an announcement while I was there that they were restocking daily. I guess Lowes warehouse is still open. I have a major Kitchen overhaul I will be starting in a few days, at least $12000, I had planned to purchase the materials from Home Depot, but after Asst Manger Dan, made it clear he did not give a damn about my business, and basically told me to get out because I didn't like his attitude, that business and any future business I have will be going to Lowes or Ace Hardware. Good Job Asst Manger Dan, you just cost Home Depot a customer for life. You have absolutely no business working in retail, if you worked for me I would have fired you on the spot.

Bought a washer from home Depot it toke four weeks to get here in four days it not working right now got to wait two more weeks to get it fixed I will never buy a appliances from home Depot again this is just bad business.

Ordered and paid for carpet installation June 24. Today is July 27 and still no carpet. Our house has been turned upside down because we had to move furniture and pack up everything off of shelves and dressers. The employees at Home Depor lied to us this whole time. Need lm ess to say we cancelled our order and went somewhere else.
