I ordered a pair of shoes and some creams and cleaners months ago. Several times I was given delivery dates but nothing arrived. Then they asked for payment again as the pay pal payment had expired, which was totally their fault as they had left it so long. Then they took payment but once again we was told shoes would be delivered mid December but still no shoes. Getting very cross now as its been months since we placed our order, we phoned them giving them once last chance before we cancelled order. No proper apology afforded just a whole load of waffle and a bunch of excuses. What really annoyed me was the cleaners and creams were not even sent out too, so I could not even clean or protect the many shoes already purchased previously from them. I wanted compensation for my time being wasted and my shoes sent straight away, what really annoyed me was I think they even tried to put the blame on pay pal cancelling the payment. Can you blame them it had been four months!!! And still when we put the payment through for the second time, a month later. still there was no shoes! I lost patients with them and their excuses and it become obvious that I was not going to get any reasonable compensation for all my aggravation. I am appalled, disgusted, what a diabolical service. MY ADVICE DONT BY SHOES IN THEIR SALES, IT APPEARS THEY TAKE YOUR ORDERS WHEN THEY DONT HAVE THEM IN STOCK. I have been a good customer for years but the service is rubbish now. I will never ever order from Hotter again. Four months since my order still no shoes!!!!! (A totally disgusted customer!)

Worst customer service ever. Shoes take far longer to arrive than the 7-9 business days advertised, if they arrive at all. Order placed for shoes which went out of stock and I never received notice that the order would not be filled. Called 4-5 times and clocked a 30 minute wait on hold each time and never spoke to a human. Sent email and received response several days later that shoes were out of stock and not to be resupplied. Placed another order, 17 days later called to find out whereabouts. Same horror story, multiple calls placed on hold with recording phone never answered, No response to sent email. Finally got someone who said shoes were shipped but were apparently lost in shipping a week later. I was never notified of lost tracking until I called and was charged for shoes. They are resending shoes but I am not holding my breath.

I've always bought Hotter shoes in the past because they were so comfortable, but never again. The last pair I bought (Nightingale) gave me terrible blisters due to the rough stitching inside the shoes. I've tried putting tape inside and trying to smooth down the stitching, but it's impossible. They cost me £85, but they were a total waste of money - absolutely disgusted. Never again!

No stars if there was a choice. This company is a complete joke. Ordered three pairs of boots. After order placed told two pairs were out of stock. Gave me the choice to cancel which I did. The first pair were a poor fit so sent them back. They took postage money from my refund. Second pair arrived even though cancelled, sent them back. Again postage monies taken from my refund. Now a third pair are on the way even though order was cancelled. Took money from my account today causing me to be overdrawn. I had to e.mail hotter several times before any monies were returned to me. Now I am panicking as overdrawn because of hotters incompetence. Avoid if you don't want a fight.

I recently bought a pair of Hotter boots for work. I am on my feet all day and need something comfortable so I look for soles that are going to support my feet all day. The description told me these boots had ''stability+ technology for excellent lateral support' and 'Freesole' that 'add more power to your walk' and 'OrthoLite dual density insole cushions and supports the hardworking parts of your foot' After wearing them for one day my feet were in agony, not only that but the so called 'cushioned soles' were so hard they brought back the pain of plantar fasciitis (which through wearing Clark's Tri range of shoes had all but gone) My whole foot was aching and in in pain. I have spent nearly £90 on something that promised to have all the comfort but delivered none. I don't expect a shoe to cure me of a foot ailment such as PF but I do expect them to live up to the description given on the website which persuaded me to part with my money. The description told me I would be 'standing taller for longer with the utmost comfort' which is the complete opposite of what they actually delivered. If I could give these boots zero stars I would. I have wasted my money on trusting the Hotter brand, I was led to believe from their advertising that they care about the comfort of their customer's feet and of course having worn the shoes just once (and never again) I am not entitled to a refund. I would NOT recommend this brand.

I wrote to Ian Watson, CEO of Hotter in August to highlight the problems I had faced when trying to obtain a refund and to complain about the add on delivery charge that had been applied in my opinion surreptitiously, this should of been applied at time of purchase However, to date there has been no response, therefore I conclude that the CEO's is not concerned about his customers and is unable or does not want to address my issues. I have bought Hotter shoes many times in a size 4.5, so following the closure of the Bath Hotter Shop, I felt confident that I could continue to purchase shoes online. However, when I ordered 2 pairs of shoes recently (Tansy and Gravity), I was disappointed as they were too large. I then decided to reorder them in a size 4, but these proved to be too large as well. Which I would not have ordered if I had been made aware of the delivery charge. Having returned the second order on 24th July, I was expecting to receive my £55.30 refund after 14 days. I made several phone calls and emails, taking up a lot of my time, and am particularly annoyed as in an email dated 4th August, it was stated that I would receive a refund in 3 days. Because the money had not appeared after 5 days I emailed Hotter only to be told that it had been paid into my account, which was not correct. All in all the delay of 32 days in obtaining a refund coupled with the £12.90 delivery and return charge for shoes that did not fit is totally unacceptable and shows a significant disregard for Customer satisfaction, sadly so different from the general experience received when shopping in your stores. I do believe that Hotter has a fundamental issue with processing of refunds. In addition a number of years ago I returned a pair of shoes to the Bath store and was given a receipt for a refund, however, when I came to check my statement nothing appeared. I queried this with the store and eventually the refund was made, but no explanation was given as to why this had happened. My advice is always check your statements how much money are Hotter not refunding?

I ordered sneakers, it took 2 months to get them and when I did I got pink sneakers instead of the navy ones I ordered. I reached out to customer service and was told sorry we don’t have the ones you ordered anymore, here is the process for returning the wrong order. When I looked it stated they would take $7 off for return shipping. I contacted customer service and said I was very dissatisfied by this and I wanted a complete refund, as this was their error. they responded they would process the refund right away and I should see it in 3-5 days. They then said we hope you are satisfied by this response. Truthfully, no. For these reasons 1. There was a two month period I waited for the shoes without explanation 2. The response where it was stated $7 would be deducted from my return should have never happened- they made the error and good customer service would have been to say- very sorry will refund right away and send you a free shipping label to return the shoes. I was very disappointed in the whole transaction, I have several pairs of hotter shoes, but would hesitate to order from hotter USA again due to the poor customer service .

Don't buy Hotter shoes, Just had 4 more pairs of shoes fall apart as well as three others previously, not wonder people buy Chinese if this is the standard of English manufacture. Always loved the shoes in the past but had to but had to buy cheap shoes in Next to get me home and 10years later they are still intact and wearable as slippers, Hotter should be ashamed of itself. Would never recommend them to anyone always used to but total rubbish now. Just ordered one new pair and the shoes appeared to be different sizes one larger than the other.

Still waiting for walking sandals ordered in June or July. First delay was later July shipping, then August. Still nothing and no notification of delay. Poor service. Never again.

I tried to love my Hotter shoes. I treated myself to two pairs in different colors. I got a great deal buy 1 get 1 free! These shoes are cute and comfortable and are espadrilles just right for warm weather and to wear to the office to compliment the color of my clothing that day. Twice I have stumbled with the carpet at work when the front part of my shoe gets caught in the carpet and today I actually fell down and landed on my left knee. I'm not wearing these to work anymore. I am 65 years old and could have been hurt worse than a scrapped knee. caution to those who order your espadrille shoes!!!!!!!!!

Ordered some shoes last year had to go back ..ordered again this year had to go back didn't fit ,the shop in Nottingham where i went to buy was always full of older people so just think about it oldies there are better shoes else were .I got charged £6.45 for sending back and postage .. lots of firms don't charge for postage or sending back...so ripping us off ..wont be shopping there again

I have worn hotter shoes for years and been very satisfied, however I have recently bought some sol sandals which I had a problem with. Despite emails which are never answered, and phone calls on which I left a message to phone me back as nobody ever answers the phone, I have given up in disgust. Poor customer service. I will think twice about buying from hotter again

£6.45 deducted from refund - I had some excellent trainers bought few years ago from Hotter. Bought another pair same size but this time did not fit. On returning found £6.45 deducted from refund. Could not get through to Customer service so sent e.mail. No response. Needless to say I will not be buying from this company again.

This is one of the worst customer service experiences I have had; the indifference to meeting a reasonable solution was astounding. I purchased 5 pair of shoes hoping that at least three would fit, but decided to try two and returned the rest. With the rave claims of comfort fit, I believed these shoes would relieve some of the pain from arthritis and fallen arches. The first pair I wore, unfortunately outside, once and my foot pain was excruciating. I called and explained the situation and informed them I was even afraid to try the second pair would it be possible to return both. Unfortunately since I wore the one shoe once, they would not make an exception. This was during the sale buy one and get the second free. They then informed me the other shoe I could not return because it was the free one, and to give it away. I asked why it couldn't be returned for at least half price - one would think there would be some compensation. No Nothing; I would definitely not recommend buying from Hotter.

I tried on shoes and ordered a different colour. The assistant Diane took my payment but had difficulty getting my receipt. Said she would email it. I asked her to take my phone no but she refused. Apparently the order was voided after I left the shop. She did not contact me. I've been waiting for shoes that I expressed told her I wanted by this weekend. I've only just discovered my order was cancelled because I phoned to find out why I had not been emailed a receipt. Customer service seems to have died over the past year or so. I won't take my custom to any shop that does not respect their customers

Returns are near impossible! When the snows my wife ordered finally arrived, and didn’t fit, are trying to get a shipping label we finally were told the shoes were never received. BEWARE!

With my recent order I am experiencing the same problems as others: expensive shipping charges, long waits to receive shoes (two weeks), difficulties getting a return label, constant busy signal on customer service line. This is very disappointing because I already have two pair of Hotter shoes, and they are among the best shoes I have ever owned.

I always considered Hotter to be a great company. Little by little, the styles they were featuring began not to seem personally suitable... that is, all EXCEPT their Shake Shoes, of which I have purchased (over many years) quite a few--some even for my elderly mother. Recently, I ordered 2 Shake Shoes in 2 different colors. Because of an area on my left foot, I decided to order MY SIZE in Wide instead of Standard. When they both arrived, I noticed that they were much longer than the Shake pair of Shoes (in the same style) that I had been wearing and trying to replace. I decided to wear one of the pairs in order to see if thicker socks or some other change would make them fit, but it didn't work. Then, when I contacted the company, I was informed that I could return just the pair that was never worn. It was at that time that I spent 2 days attempting to gain online access to a Return Label. I entered the information given to me by a Hotter staff member, and saw a message that there was "no record" of my order! Then, I looked again at the Return Form that came with the shoes and copied a website address that turned out not to exist! All this time I thought I was the only one having these problems... Today, I found out that that is not true! The latest comment I read in an e-mail sent to me says that by ordering the Wide (instead of the Standard Width), the LENGTH of the SHOES had to increase! I'm trying to "wrap" my brain around that concept, and I am puzzled! Hopefully, I will receive an online Return Label from them soon so that I can send back the one $75 pair of shoes!

be careful with the shipping charges [at least $12 .to receive [in small print ] and outrageous charge to return .WE spent over $20 to send back a pair of shoes that did not fit [original charge about $85 ;thus over 20% of the price of the shoes !!! Calling doesnt help They are shooting themselves in the foot by not being responsive to their customers .They should read how many people are complaining about your hassle return !!!!
