Hello, today I had a very bad experience in the Norwich branch. I was choosing a lipstick (in the sale area) and found one I liked the name of, but I couldn’t see the colour since the box is gold only. There wasn’t a tester out with the same lipstick colour. I opened the box - only to check the colour (I didn’t open it or test it). The brunette woman in the photo attached appeared and started shouting at me. She didn’t offer any help, or ask if I needed any help (which I did) then walked away abruptly and carried on gossiping with her colleague, leaning on the counter. First of all, I would of never had to open the box if there was a correct tester for it, secondly, she could of offered some form of help (since that’s her job), and of course could of spoken in a different tone. I haven’t received his kind of customer service before in your shop, it was very unprofessional and uncomfortable. I did purchase the lipstick since it was a great deal, but after that experience I decided to get the rest of my beauty products that were on my list to buy today in John Lewis instead.

Terrible customer service system in place. Web chats not fit for purpose and e mail response have not provided any resolution to my problem yet ‘closed down the ticket’. My complaint was relating to my purchasing two of the same products and only receiving one. I have not received a refund for an item costing nearly £100.00. House of Fraser’s reputation and integrity has clearly a lot to be desired.

Worst company I've ever had to deal… Worst company I've ever had to deal with. Dear Customer services, I would just like to add, the entire process from start to finish is the worst experience I have ever had to go through, Nearly £300 taken from my account and 3 weeks later still nothing just an offer of a refund in 3 to 5 working days, so at that rate my order was placed for next day delivery 31st May it could be a month, I have had to chase daily for updates and had so many different replies and very confusing. I will continue with my reviews as I believe nobody should go through what I have experienced. Order number APPHOF40000071407266

Hi, As a former service employee for numerous years I appreciate that retail return policies vary from store to store and are the policies of the store and not the staff. Imagine my disappointment then when I received a very nice new jacket from my teenage son only to realise he’d not only not provided the receipt in case of needed exchange but purchased a much smaller size than I need. Body pride and financial pocket therefore both taken a poorly timed blow! This was a present that was for my 49th birthday which potentially I would not be able to adorn. So today I thought well it’s worth asking if I could exchange for a larger size or something nearest the pin ! I wasn’t too hopeful but it was in shop condition still as only purchased yesterday and with tags on so here goes … I was initially rebuffed by a rather solemn lady but hey she is only doing her job I thought but on the other hand the customer is always right no ? So I asked a rather polite lady named Anne-Marie whom I have had excellent customer experience from before in fact, as if remembered that I said to myself, well let’s just get a second opinion.. Not only did very helpful and friendly said shop assistant direct me to the right place to exchange the garment she went above and beyond in using common sense and good customer skills combined. I sincerely hope that she is commended in some way for her service that I experienced (financially I hope) as I will most certainly be spending my money with House of Fraser Norwich again because of her service and genuine manner. Thanks to her manager also whom I did not think to ask her name as I was so impressed by the said star of the day!! Thanks again, Craig V.

House of Fraser…. Your Return and Refund policy is very NASTY, very GREEDY…!!! If there is a less than 1 star for rate, I would happily to do that!

I paid next day delivery for an item that arrived THREE DAYS LATER. I have received £3 back. My item has arrived in a badly damaged box that has clearly been opened and re sealed and the lid is missing from the basket. I’ve just been told it could be a part order!!! Frustrating that I can’t speak to anyone about the poor service i have received both from House Of Fraser and from the delivery company

I bought several times from House of Fraser but in the last order I bought a number of items which included 4 pairs of shoes and was charged a certain amount for shipping cost. The company cancelled the 4 pairs of shoes due to unavailability and I was charged the same amount of money for the shipping cost. I requested a partial refund however they replied they cannot fulfil my request. Really disappointed and not expected from such store!

Extremely bad customer care. An item I bought was faulty but as they deemed it to be perfect at the warehouse, I was not reimbursed for postage. And the customer care executive led me in circles and the interface and experience was terrible.

I order for next day delivery pair of guess salerno black, I received different item, send emails nothing backthen i spoke with a livechat agent and my shoes are out of stock, this company is a joke, paid for nrxt day delivery and they just need for me to go and drop off the wrong item, spending my time and not even can get the items that I bought, a star is too much!

Jacket was sent with sizing on but when measured it wasn’t that size, customer service completely ignored the problem and just sent a template email saying sorry we can’t help and hope this has cleared up the matter. I even sent photos of me with the jack and tap measure

I ordered £400 worth of clothing and out of 10 items only 3 were delivered. They are saying that ALL items were delivered so now I’m £300 out of pocket. They have not herd the last of this. Will never purchase from H of F again which is a shame as before it was recently taken over I purchased most of my clothes from there. Appalling customer service department

Purchased a necklace whilst on holiday 8 hours round trip away from where I live. The nearest HoF is a 4 hour round trip away from my home. The necklace fell apart after being worn once. I tried to return on line and after multiple attempts and the same response I will NEVER purchase another item from HoF. They told me I had to return to the store of purchase. The store is 8 hours round trip away, the necklace cost £14, do the math!! I'm stuck with a bunch of beads and a very very bad experience. It's not about the money, it's about the lunacy of the policy. HoF, if you read this please get your act together and offer customers the service they deserve when they have purchased a faulty item. The onus is on you to fix the issue, not on them to travel hundreds of miles for a faulty item return when you could do it easily online.

Had a nightmare experience particularly with the Customer Services. Purchased a Paul Smith t-shirt which was faulty and didn't discover until we got home. Purchased ladies underwear and the Assistant left the Security tag still on there. Purchased whilst on holiday as there is no HoF near us. Been told by Customer Services these must be returned to the store. They cannot do anything unless we purchased them online. Em it's your error and incompetence. So they think it's acceptable for me to lose my money. What kind of policy do they have and where is it written that we should not purchase items in a store unless we live local!!! Shocking. We try to buy British. Well we need to rethink this and give HoF a miss.

I ordered a dress but it was too big so I sent it back and ordered a smaller size. That arrived and it fits well so I've kept that one. However, a couple of weeks later, the larger dress arrived on my doorstep with a letter saying that it is in a used condition and so they can't refund me. I checked the dress and there is not one mark on the dress and the tags are still on it. I don't understand! Of course there's no phone number so I've been emailing back and forth and they are saying that even if I send the dress back to them again they will just send it back to me! This is ridiculous customer service. Don't order from this retailer.

I bought a pair of shoes & after wearing them for 7 days the sole was coming apart from the upper shoe. I explained to customer service that this is a manufacturing fault. I sent a picture & they advised me to return the item. They then rejected the return because they were worn. And then returned the shoes to the wrong address. Customer service does not seem interested in removing this, I am now shoeless & £120 down. By reading the reviews this seems like a common problem with Customer Service.

Ordered next day delivery. Order didn’t arrive. Could only speak to an online robot (there is no contact number). Once I got through to a human online advisor I found them very rude. The order was apparently held up with the couriers. Unfortunately when my order finally arrived I wasn’t home and it got left at my front door (which I hadn’t specified) and must have been stolen. House of Fraser told me to raise with the couriers and wanted nothing to do with it. This order was £250! I can safely say I won’t be shopping with them again.

Dont ever order of them they dont refund your money after paying for courier back and have shown them receipts 150 worth parcel no money recieved after numerous emails
