YOU ARE BETTER OFF BUYING FROM ANYWHERE ELSE BUT IKEA!!!!! I purchased 2 "Lack coffee table for a project I planned. Both arrived damaged in a few places. First phone call, Ikea rep wanted to see the pics, told me to email them to him. I waited a few days, nothing. So I call in, 15 minutes on phone, then transferred and disconnected. Third call in 32 minutes on phone only to be told to repack items and ship back. I was like, WHAT?!?!?! How do you want me to pack this in a box with no styrofoam or anything? all the pieces came shrink wrapped to a piece of cardboard which resembled a lid to a huge bankers box. No protection at all. Rep said put it all in a box, print the Fedex slip and send it back. Don't they realize that if I do that it will punch a hole through the box? Fedex won't except insecure items. They expect me to spend money to secure it, just so they can receive damaged items. Bottom line is DO NOT BUY FROM IKEA. I actually was able to see the cardboard honeycomb inside this table. Seriously? they use cardboard to fill the gap thickness of a table? I would rather buy from a second hand store, offer up, mercari, etc. I have seen better furniture at Walmart!!!!!! I will reach out to m credit card company and get my money back. If I worked for consumer affairs, I would be closely inspecting each and every item they sell to anyone in the U.S. I know that furniture stores mark up their items between 100-400%, but there are many ways to get quality items at a low cost. so many options out there, just avoid IKEA. Read the reviews yourself, if you on a budget, buy second hand stuff, its well worth it. They won't refund unless I find a box, pack it so fedex will except it, and ship it back. they shipped it poorly, and honestly I can't do the same to them, but I should not have to spend money to ship it back..... I will let my bank handle them......

Horrible service, they want to charge me $49 for a reschedule delivery because they couldn’t find my house and I was home, and then proceeded to tell me they called my phone and I had it on me the whole time and NOBODY CALLED. Ridiculous, never ordering from here again. Can’t even get my refund because THEY DONT DO REFUNDS.

Ikea have now failed to deliver twice to my home. They didn't call on either occasion to inform me of this, it fell to me to contact customer support. They charge GBP39 for delivery, which they refuse to reimburse. However, they will offer a GBP20 voucher for each failed delivery, which is frankly laughable as I have no intention of ever shopping with them again.

We used to Look forward To the 45 minute drive to IKEA because we knew that we could find exactly what we needed by exploring the design floor and then going downstairs and finding what we liked. That is..until..our last two visits to the Conshohocken, Pa store. All five items on multiple displays upstairs were sold out downstairs. 1. Remove items sold out from display OR mark tags as sold out! It is clear that payroll has been slashed and ordering curtailed, but all items sold go through the computer system and a simple sold out flag attached would alert customers of the sold out status. I heard customers all around me complaining of the very same thing! Come on IKEA, get with the customer Service you once had. We will no longer visit.

This is the worst experience I have ever had with a company. I was charged $463. No emails, no tracking, and my account says no purchase history. Today is the day I'm supposed to receive my items and I have no way to know if they're even coming.

Bought $400 of stuff online. I’m sure it would have been great stuff, but we never received it. My husband and I were both home anxiously waiting the day it was supposed to be delivered. Nobody ever knocked. The whole day passes by. Still no ikea. I get an email from IKEA saying they want us to pay $50 more to deliver it. Why are they charging me twice for a service they never provided? I called ikea support, and they said that apparently nobody will come to deliver the items unless you answer a call from an unknown number a couple hours beforehand. I never answer calls from unknown numbers. It should be illegal to charge people for services you did not provide. I will not be paying for redelivery, and ikea is refusing to refund the $50 I already paid for delivery. Unfortunately, I paid with a debit card, so there is no way to dispute the transaction. We will never purchase from ikea again.

You can not I repeat can not return a mattress at IKEA. They will only let you exchange even though the receipt will say any item can be returned with receipt within 365 days of purchase.

I just wanted to say how horrible Ikea is as a company I worked for Ikea one of their warehouses and I got fired for no apparent reason even though they said there was an investigation on it they actually never found anything they said that there were accusations against me but they could not prove any of the accusations they just told me that they had to fire me because of what the accusation said even though they told me they were going to do an investigation and yet they never did and when I met with the lead HR woman all she kept doing was changing her story around over and over and over again I guess all I can say is that if anybody were to work for Ikea just watch out because it's a really good company but when they have it out for you you're pretty much s*** out of luck

I went in store to purchase a few items and realized they were to big to fit in my car, so I decided to get it delivered from the Schaumburg location. While setting up the delivery I was asked to pick a timeframe, I picked 9am-1pm at 12:45pm I was called and informed that the delivery was going to be late (I had to ask how late) 1-2hours. (I already set up assembling of the product and is now forced to reschedule AND pay a cancellation fee) I called ikea 3 times was hung up on twice. The IKEA representative informed me that she was not going to refund me the delivery charges and I would have to go back to ikea Schaumburg (2 hours away from me) and I might get the delivery charges refunded. It's safe to say I will never shop, visit nor encourage anyone to ever shop at ikea again.

I was getting ready to order 3 bedroom sets complete with closet kits and light fixtures, a living room set, dining room set, sunroom and outdoor furniture because I fell in love with what I saw, but after seeing all of the bad reviews about warped and damaged products, refund refusals and (to add insult to injury) customer service reps who are rude and hang up on customers! Tsk tsk IKEA you just lost out on a whole lotta money. Smh.

As I write this, I have been on hold for 3 hours now - with stupid music playing and all I want to do is cancel an online order that I just found out cannot be installed in my house after all because of the type of securing needed (which was not relayed during the booking). If I had known, I would not have pressed that purchase button. Now I have been waiting 3 hours trying to get it cancelled before delivery and delivery charges. Emailed too, but then they say 96 hours to 120 hours which is about the time of delivery. What kind of service is this. Horrible. Still waiting online before I give up which I guess is what you want.

We bought the PAX wardrobe set and a mirror weeks ago and opted for home delivery. On the day it was meant to arrive, the delivery was towards the end of the window they gave us (we received no notice until they were almost at our door and thought they had missed our order). Some items were delivered damaged, including a smashed mirror and a broken PAX frame. The frame was "dented" in the sense that the laminate tore and the inside looked completely hollow. The delivery guy said our items were at the bottom of the truck, so that combined with it being late implied we were the last delivery of the day. They made a note of the damaged items and told us to wait for a call from IKEA. (A somewhat odd note was they refused to take the smashed mirror back, and just propped it against a wall by the kitchen, even though we had a cat who could get himself hurt with the exposed pieces.) The call never came and several days later we decided to call IKEA ourselves. They don't tell you the wait-time would take hours. The agent told us they were low on stock and would have to call us back on Wednesday (which is a week later). That call never came either, and on Thursday we called IKEA again, got put on hold for hours, only to be told by the agent that our case needs to be transferred to the after-sales department, which is unavailable currently due to "high call volumes". We called once again on Friday, got put on hold again, got told by an agent again that he'd need to transfer us to the after-sales department, to which by the way there's no direct line, so you have to remain connected through two transfers and two queues or else your enquiries won't even reach a human being. So after waiting another several hours and 29 other callers ahead of us, we got hold of an agent who, to add insult to injury, tried to offer us 20% discount to keep the broken wardrobe. When we told him no, he said he'd put through a replacement delivery scheduled next Sunday for 1-5pm. Sunday 5pm passed as well, and on our final call to IKEA we were told the replacement order was never even processed by the system. The after-sales agent implied it took two days to process an order in their esoteric system, and they didn't even offer a way to notify us in the event of an order-processing failure, or somehow guarantee a delivery after everything. We're left to wait another few days with now little confidence the delivery will ever actually arrive. At this point I'm at a loss for words.

it’s so nice to be able to take a 45 minute drive to their store to find out that what it shows in stock online isn’t actually on the shelf. The employees obviously need to learn what customer service is and help the consumer out by finding where the product is in the store and getting it for them. Maybe you ought to have an IQ test for your employees to see if they’re capable of figuring out something so simple. I’ve spent way too much money at that store to deal with idiots they can’t even figure out what is at their store. It’s too bad you couldn’t put negative stars on this review.

I was supposed to receive a delivery today between 11am and 3pm. The night before I received a phone call stating I will receive a call 30 minutes before the delivery. I went out to get some food. While I was out, I got a phone call from IKEA saying the delivery people are there and will wait for 15 minutes. I was home in 10 minutes, nobody there. When I called IKEA customer support, they said that I have to pay another delivery fee and need to reschedule. There is no way to make a formal complaint, and nothing you can do about it -- the customer service person told me it's either that or I get a refund minus the delivery fee. Horrible service.

terrible expedience with the delivery, worst one ever. we purchase a king size mattress online and when the 2 delivery guys came at the door they said they could not bring it in because it was too large, that because they were had it on the wide side instead of the smaller side and wanted to bring it back to the warehouse, we had to tell them to bring it out of the box and turn it around. Can you imagine this and when thy left they trough out all the wrapping on our front lawn and left in a rush. so unprofessional Margie
