I will never stop at IKEA again! Pick up 2 throw pillows, had to ask 3 different people how to find the checkout, finally got there only to be told the 2 throw pillows were "display items" so I could not purchase them. What a waste of 40 minutes of my life.

Poor customer service. I received a damaged product and was unable to reach anyone in customer service or leave a call back number to address the issue. First and last time I ordered from Ikea!

absolutely the worst customer service. It seems that when they answer and then tell you that they have to transfer you to another department,and then no one answers. I wan on hold for 1 hr. 20 min before I gave up what a mess !!!!!

Horrendous experience with IKEA France (and all online). Delivery didn't arrive. They acknowledged that it was 'lost' and under investigation and that funds (110 euros) would be refunded. It never was. Called three times - over an hour waiting each time. Unbelievable. Still not refunded. Not answered emails. THERE IS NO CUSTOMER SERVICE WHATSOEVER. DON'T EVEN TRY. Contacted HQ in Sweden even. Dismissive - told me to contact IKEA France. They just don't care. Thieves. Compare this to Amazon who will sort things out instantly (sorry, but it's true, no wonder they're so huge). Credit card company are pursuing case against them. That's all we can hope for.

Ordered glasses online. When they were delivered they were wrapped in a mile of waste of bubble wrap as they neglected to actually put any between the glasses so some ended up scratched and some smashed to smithereens. Was on hold after 3rd call for half an hour so tried messaging on Facebook. They asked to send pictures so I did. They wrote back and told me to send more pictures as they couldn't make out how many glasses had smashed- maybe because they had been reduced to a pile of glass rubble? Waste of money, time, and glass.

If it was possible, I'd give zero stars. While our experience at IKEA was okay, the delivery service should not be used by anyone. We were told our delivery would be there on a Thursday. After waiting for eight hours, we were told it would be delivered on Saturday due to "mechanical issues." Come Saturday, we were informed that there were still "mechanical issues" so our delivery wouldn't be there for another week. We ended up canceling our order, and rented a cargo truck to drive back to the store ourselves. DO NOT believe that the delivery service will ever be on time. Save your time and money and bring it back yourselves.

worst ever. I purchased my couch on August 1st 2019 and here it is August 22 and I am still waiting for the missing hardware. Customer service is terrible. Getting a live personal on the phone is near impossible. I will not buy another thing from IKEA

Alright teacher friends! Definitely do not purchase from IKEA. They do the WORST business with schools and teachers. We purchased items OVER A MONTH AGO! A piece was missing on one, so we could not build it. NO REPLACEMENT PART WAS SENT! The second item was SO DAMAGED that it was returned to sender. WE STILL HAVE NOT SEEN ANYTHING IN OVER A MONTH! Not only that, but we have not been able to get ahold of ANYONE on the phone! IKEA has the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!

Used Ikea for the first time and drove 1hr to the store - it will be the last time. Ordered a sofa bed for family coming to stay and all seemed great with delivery of the sofa bed being before arrival of guests. The sales staff were helpful and allocated a delivery time. Got an email to say delivery okay only to wait and wait and wait and wait and wait and wait and wait and wait and wait and wait and so rang Ikea to see when we could expect the sofa bed to be told not going to be delivered today (as per order at the "agreed time" ) with no reason except it would not arrive today and don't know why agreed delivery date is not being met but tough luck! I ordered the sofa bed and paid for delivery on the agreed date but it seems Ikea are a company that Consumer Rights can be totally disregarded under the purchase agreement This is unacceptable. BAD SERVICE, BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND TOTAL LACK OF CONCERN. I guess Ikea is used to receiving many complaints that it is not phased and disinterested to be bothered with customer service and happily just give 'lip service'. They don't give a damn and don't care - their guarantees, their promises, their values - just words!

Purchased the Stoense rug 6 months ago the quality is excellent the only problem is there's a cresse that simply won't to go. 😠

Ordered bedroom furniture online and delivered this morning. Took time off work to assemble but due to missing items in the delivery we are unable to build the furniture. Spoke to John a manger at Head Office customer services who apologised but said he could only offer the standard (minuscule and insulting) compensation for missing items to orders. Answers were robotic and unhelpful. IKEA has no interest in treating customers as humans or on a case by case basis and feel let down and very disappointed with their after sale care. I will not be using online order service ever again and asking friends and family to do the same.

WORST STORE AND SERVICE EVER, IN STORE AND ONLINE! Today I went to the MD, College Park store and ordered 12 items worth almost $600. For some technical difficulties, my card was not working so the associate advised me to order online when I go home. After I came home, I was trying to order the items online and at the last step I was trying to choose the location for pickup at Woodbridge, VA but it said that the location is not taking online order. Then I chose the College Park location, where I was today, and it was telling me that they don't have one of the items available. How can that be possible if I was just there and they had all the items? I decided to call them and after staying on hold for 45 minutes, someone finally answered and she told me that she couldn't help and that she would transfer the line to the College Park location. But she hung up the phone.

IKEA is not able to deliver their furniture! I place my order over $3,000 online and I lost my hope to see my furniture any time soon. They reschedule the delivery 4 times - I had to take off work and I really sounds ridiculous to my superior to tell him the same story but what should I do??? Their word now means nothing to me... totally unreliable!!! I made me cry today - I just wanted to give them a call and to reassure that my furniture are coming in TWO DAYS ... and I just got the answer that they will not make it and want to reschedule it for another day!!!... i can not believe it.

So we were eating at the cafeteria n this IKEA man came n picked up out mineral water bottle n took it to dustbin from our table rudely n talked rash coz my son filled his juice in it... anyways both the water n juice were paid by us n not to throw n treat customers like this.. horrible experience with staff

This is completely ridiculous. Went to the branch and pax planner done. Came home just in case of the sizes and didnt made any changes but order the exact as the planner online. Had to pay to task rabbit for the job and realised that several things were missing. Now the worst part is I have to arrange the remaining item to the wardrobe eventhough i paid the whole amount to the task rabbit for the work to be done. They made their second delivery and still the items are missing and I have to call them again for the remaining items not just that they wont send a truck to collect the small extra items they sent me(for which they have charged me ) , to get the refund I have to go to store to return. This is just too too much to handle. Worst service I would say.

I never write reviews, but I had such a terrible experience with IKEA that wanted to make sure I share it. After moving in to our new place, we rushed to order a few items from IKEA online so that we get them asap. We had got several items from IKEA in store before, but this was our first online experience. And it was unbelievably unprofessional! After waiting for 8 days, the night before the expected delivery date we called customer service to make sure the order was arriving the next day. To our shock, it was cancelled! And we had not receive anything from IKEA in that regard! Even worse, the agent was so rude that she said it's not their job to let us know, we should had asked! I still don't know why the order was cancelled, apparently it had to do with the credit card, but cancelling without notice is extremely unprofessional! Our waste of time aside, we are now going to order similar items from Amazon, and get them in 2 days for free instead of 9 days for $40 of IKEA! In the past, Amazon agents have even compensated me a couple of times with 1 month free Prime because of delayed orders, and IKEA agent didn't even apologize for entirely cancelling my order!
