“I went to exchange some sweaters the return and exchange line was over an hour Wait because there is one cashier available to do jcp.com returns and exchanges it's very hot in the store when you ask for managers assistant no one's coming to assist you. When you call customer service they direct you to call the store and I have been calling this store for over 3 hours and no one picks up. We need to do better in this community when it comes to these stores because they are slacking and they think we supposed to put up with this b******* with a lack of work ethics. Still waiting for an order that I placed over 4 hours ago for a pickup window of 2 hours just for them to tell me that the system says it's still processing it's still f****** processing because you're not able to get off this f****** line up here and go downstairs and pick up my s*** and bring it back upstairs to the JCP store. “I placed an online order that never left the warehouse, though it was provided a tracking number and labelled as "shipped". I called in, to ask about the order and I escalated to a supervisor, since the first representative wanted to recharge me, then provide standard shipping which I stated was unfair, since my items should've been here a week ago.
The supervisor, Verisha, was beyond unhelpful. Not only did Verisha seem to have an attitude, but for most of the call, Verisha delivered nothing but bad news. When I asked Verisha, for example, to close my account and cancel the order, Verisha responded "You can do both yourself, is there anything else?".
For a consumer who gave YOU their hard earned money, when YOU didn't fulfill YOUR end of the bargain by delivering the goods I paid for -- JCPenney has no shame in providing zero results, zero resolution and zero representatives AND "leads" who want to help.”

“ordered on line a mans jacket to be delivered 12/1/23. no jacket, text sent to me could not find address, went on line with OnTrac and filled out form and told them exactly where i live. 2 days later again received text that address could not be found again. Went on line and chatted with OnTrac rep, again told them this is twice directions received and wanted order by 12/4/23. on 12/4/23 received email from jc penney and OnTrac that package was delivered. Package found no where, called JC Penney for refund. Will never shop at store of JC Penney and definitely not on line with JC Penney. I have shopped at JC Penney for 50 years! “A long time JCP shopper (about 50 years and plus the late 50's and 60's with my mom), especially of Stafford brand shirts in the last 20 or so years. They still have some good stuff, but my favorites seem to be the premium brand now and the best holiday discounts seemed to be for the newer (relatively anyway) brands they carry. The shirts I was looking at looked like the prices were raised not too long ago, and then discounted back to where they used be for the holidays.
What has me not going there much anymore is:
1. They changed the operating hours, 11 AM is WAY too late for me since I am usually pretty much done for the day and have gone home and started preparing lunch by then. Only reason I was there was I had an 11:45 doctor appointment nearby and I saw an ad for something I needed.
2. Customer service. What customer service? Some years ago I used to get accosted by someone several times each visit. This has become less and less common over the last few years. Tuesday (28 NOV 2023) no one approached me, the person unlocking the door did not really greet and was pretty much robotic. I wandered the men's section for about 15 minutes before I gave up trying to find what I wanted and left (found out later it was only online), and I only saw two recognizable employees, one at a register and the opener who was wiping the door windows (who did not say thank you, have a nice day, or anything as I left).
This is sad because JCP USED to be strongly customer centric, with good prices, good return policy (was still good on an online order that did not fit last year), and a joy to be in the store. Now it is like a store waiting for the axe to fall. Nice if I just want to browse some items for a few minutes and leave, but not if I am interested in maybe buying.”

I’ve called several times and spoken to customer service who have put me off time and again. They left me on hold for 28 minutes minimum each time and this last time after I asked for a manager I was put on hold by said manager and then hung up on. No call back. No email back. Nothing. Do not shop here.”

“JCP coupons are a real joke
The excluded items are most every brand in the store. It would be alot less to read if they noted what is included not excluded
When you find an item that is included with coupon and purchase more than one item a portion of coupon is applied to each item (which I understand) however, if JCP cannot fullfill the order they keep the amount that was applied. If only one item was purchased the full coupon value would apply to that item.
The Eastgate Blvd. in Ohio customer service is terrible with the exception of one guy he provides good customer service.”
