“After a very long delay I spoke with Just Eat and found out that if I cancelled because of the delay, I would only get 50% back. What's more, they told me that if it didn't turn up at all, I would still only get 50% refund!!!! Surely, that's not legal. They have failed to keep their part of the contract. Just think people need to be aware of this.”

“Ordered at 7pm, told it would be there at 8.10. When it wasn't I contacted Just Eat. The take-away was always engaged. Just Eat said it would be another 20 mins. They were really unhelpful. They just weren't bothered. Eventually turned up at 9.50.”

“I posted a review as follows on just eat, and spoke to them online having been a customer of many years, and never complained to them before- and was told that they will not give me a refund. So therefore they have lost me as a customer. Review: Took 2 hours to deliver my order, 1 hour later than i was originally told it would be. Though just eat seem to have the order as delivered a half hour earlier than it actually was 8.30 as opposed to actually nearer 9. I asked for 2 updates at 8 and 8.25 approx , one of which said food would be with me at 8.30 (the time just eat have as delivered) However at 8.30 I got a call by the resteraunt to advise the chef had forgotten to do my order, and it would be later still. It was nearly 9 by the time i got it, over 2 hrs and the latest I have ever waited on just eat order (this is the first time i used this resteraunt and will never use them again). Before it arrived i asked for some money off, and then rec'd a text to say they had refused this on the basis it was late as the driver was stuck in traffic. Well all i can say is it mustve been some traffic to be over an hour lat, especially at 9 at night. Not only that in the phone call i rec'd there was no mention of traffic, only that the resteraunt had aparantly forgotten about me, even though on 2 occasions i sent reminders through just eat, 1 of which was a full hour before the actual. Food was delivered, and a half hour before i got a call to say it had been somehow forgotten. Finally the lamb curry lamb was not cooked properly, some of the lamb was near raw, and i have been ill all day. And most of the food, went into the bin. If i could give them less than 1 star I would, and i will be asking for a FULL refund through just eat”

“Never used just eat before but I received a £50 gift card. Ordered £17 worth of food using my email which is the same email as my account with them, however it let me log in as a guest so I have lost £33 credit. Rang up and a supervisor named Joseph rang me back and was extremely rude saying it’s my fault I should have checked the terms and conditions even when they don’t pop up when you redeem and are not on the back of the card. They won’t transfer the £30 from my ‘guest account’ to my actual account. Absolutely money grabbing someone has bought it from them so they have the money regardless and now have robbed it from me. Not to mention spent £8 on a 11 minute calling trying to resolve the problem whilst the arrogant supervisor was being rude. Avoiding this money grabbing company at all costs. Reading previous reviews clearly to them they think they can get away with stealing from customers and that customers are wrong.”

“Spent over £50 quid last night and half my order was missing. Was in hold on phone to them for 45 minutes and they lied and said someone would contact me within 2 hours, they also said they would email me which they didn't. The chat servers just as bad. I was refused a refund. Will never use them again its the 2nd time this week items have been missing. DO NOT USE THEM”

“Appalling service! Placed order at 17.35 with delivery due at 18.10 This changed to 19.03 and then no further updates Phoned a Just Eat at 19.30 who said it would update in 10.00 mins but with no idea when the food would actually be delivery Order now 2 hours late Apparently NO DRIVERS to collect and deliver food Cancelled order!!!!!!”

“I paid and ordered a pizza but never received. I called restaurant and said it was delivered. Call the website and I lost 20 min waiting for someone to answer just to be transferred to someone else that never picked up the phone. I talked to chat team and they said they need 48 hours to investigate. I do not recommend this service.”

“ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. ORDER SAYS IT WAS DELIVERED BUT IT WAS NOT. THEY NOW HAVE TO 'INVESTIGATE' FURTHER. LET ME TELL YOU - WILL NEVER EVER EVER EVER USE THIS SERVICE.”

“TERRIBLE COMPANY! I ordered food and waited over 1 hour from a place only 15 min from where I live. There was no tracking and no updates. After 1 hour 30 min I called Just eat and they told me the food had been delivered, but it had not! I was starving hungry by then and everywhere was closed as it was 11:30pm. Do not use this company!”

“I had a massive problem with a Takeaway that lied to me and others and did not deliver! Reported to Just Eat who said they had delivered so believed their lies and did nothing!! Totally useless customer services who accused me of being a liar a total disgrace!!!”

“What rubbish service, I can assure you this was not the case! I called the restaurant when I saw the a notification of delivered came up the restaurant and informed me the food left the restaurant and should be with you, if not I need to call just eat as the driver may have stolen your food! Based on the response I will no longer be using just eat.”

“JustEat U.K. is the worst company I’ve ever had to deal with! I have an issue dating back to the 31st August 2020 (Order Number 1007474960) which I finally got resolved on the 8th September 2020 (or so I thought) a refund was agreed and an email was also sent out to myself confirming the conversation (Ticket Number 36991055). I have since phoned up 5 times and on 3 occasions the call handler has put the phone down on myself due to not receiving any part of the refund. The company is rude, and I’m almost certain it is a scam! I will be placing this on as many social media post that relate to Just Eat U.K. Hopefully the company will take note and actually sort my issue out!”

“Just Eat is a disgrace. When cancelling an order you have to wait in a chat queue, instead of simply cancelling the order with the click of a button. By the time you get through to someone its too late. If you call the store instead they can't cancel the order on their end as it has to come from Just Eat. Just Eat don't have a facility for direct communication with their stores, which would make resolving issues very simple. Their agents also refuse to use their initiative and call the stores. When refusing delivery of orders their drivers mark it as delivered as they don't get paid otherwise. A truly shoddy, inefficient organisation which is tailored to steal your money by making it impossible to cancel orders, even if you try to do it before the food is prepared.”

“Put order in at just eat for kfc Exeter at 5.26pm on 3/10/20 and order didn’t turn up until 8.18pm what a rubbish delivery every thing had to go in microwave as it was all cold , will not use again”

“Food did not arrive, person on the justeat chat service said the driver tried to deliver but unable to so returned the food. we have a reception so don't understand how he was not able to deliver and just eat would only refund half the amount. I drove to the take away and asked if the food had been returned but was told no, that is odd don't you think? We will no longer use just eat at our offices and I will not use personally either. Good business model, by not refunding £10 you have now lost more in future sale. Great job.”
