“I have an old T520. The keyboard was great. I got used to it and it worked well.
Also have a desktop where I use the Thinkpad keypad dk-855. It is pretty much the same as the T520.
So...I recently purchased a P15. Never even thinking or realizing they (Lenovo) would
Have a totally different keyboard.
To me, this is a keyboard from Hades.
It has a stupid number pad on the right side, which pretty much moves the center of the actual keypad offset to the left. The trackpoint is not in the center. You have to move the laptop to have the keypad centered to your hands, And of course, now you are looking not at the screen center but the left side of the screen.
Did I just pick the wrong laptop, or are they all now like this?
Can it be swapped out ?

“i have purchased 2nd laptop of lenovo ideapad. at first it was working well but after some months its performance came very slow and lagging so i complaint it to a representative
they started primary diagnostic of laptop and all test were done online through remote at that time only the problem was detected that hard drive have issue but they ignore it and said OS was causing all trouble so with their help OS was reinstalled this was also done remotely instruction that is i was the one who was repairing their product. so here we purchase and we repair only so why are they giving the service and what kind of service is this that customer only is doing and wasting his all time. While after all this waste of time they were unable to diagnose it at all.and only form their side they said problem is resolved. This all caused me lot of waste of time and headache. still i was taking it all saliently and politely but as off they didn't listen to me they said your laptop is performing very well.well i was the one and only one who was facing all the problem laptop was literally performing like old p4 processor computers it was hanging lagging and litteraly booting in 15 to 20 mins i was having ideapad 3 15iil05. i3 10 gen 4gb ram 1tb hdd and experiencing like p4 512 ram 160gb hdd.till end of all the argument lenovo did not resolved the problem. all the fault is lenovo don't do any thing in warranty and service but when the warranty expires they will tell to change hdd and upgrade ram.(lol).lenovo a scammer will never buy their product and will never suggest their product.”

“One month old. Wifi quit working. Windows disabled it due to a problem. Call the worse customer service department I have ever experienced. After running around in circles pushing button after button to get to someone the guy says in a very muffled very difficult to understand voice hold button on side for 30 seconds. during that time the call dropped. It started all over again. Dropped another call with someone that sounded like they were watching TV or something while talking to me. I ended up calling someone else to resolve the issue. He tells me it will continue to give problems. I am disgusted with the customer service and will regret from this day forward ever buying this product. My advice to any one is do not buy Lenovo...period. get another one that is made of better quality and better service!!!!!”

“TERRIBLE, IRRESPONSIBLE ,UNACCEPTABLE SERVICE
I bought the LENOVO - Yoga 7i 14" 2 in 1 Laptop - Intel® Core™ i7, 512 GB SSD, Slate Grey on Feb 28th, 2021.
Since then, frequent and inconsistent problems have started. Less than 2 months after I bought it for the first time, on April 24, 2021, the screen started to turn white. However, when I turned it off and on, it fixed itself. I didn't pay much attention to it because it fixed itself. The last month, I heard a noise from the left hinge part of the laptop, I didn't pay much attention to it. After a while, when I wanted to finish my work and close it, the strip on the left hinge side came off and the hinge came off in a way that prevented folding. I didn't force it to fold it and had to leave it open.
TERRIBLE SERVICE
I left it at Currys Barnet store while it was still under warranty and 10 days later the top screen was cracked without being repaired. And they tried to give it to me like that. I did not accept and a new record was created to be repaired. I have not seen such disgrace. I will never ever buy a Lenovo product from now on.”
“Horrible, Horrible, Horrible. Customer service is terrible. I purchase an onsite warranty, had to jump thru hoops, to get a repairman out to the business (this was the first visit). Power button on the computer still not working I sent several tickets to have the repairman come back out. I received an email saying mail the system into them. I called and finally got a customer service rep who called me back. (It is very hard to get someone on the phone with this company) They still didn't want to send anyone out. but not before I jump thru many hoops. I had to log-them in on my phone camera. I had to remote them in on my desktop. My computer locked-up, because the site was unsafe and would not let me more forward. On the phone a very long time. A mess, a mess. I will never, Never, never ever buy a computer from them. Customer service is TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE AND SOME MORE TERRIBLE.”

“My laptop had a bit of a bump (dropped from only 2 feet height on to carpet floor), nothing major, no obvious physical damage but wouldn't turn on.
i send to Lenovo for repair (only two months out of warranty). First they quote me for £65 which I've paid but they put a note on all their email requests for money: "Additional parts may be needed, once the repair is progressed. A further quote will be sent in this case for parts only."
Next they sent me a bill for £63, exactly the same thing.
Now they have sent me a bill for £362, still with the caveat that additional parts may be needed ...

“Build quality is very Poor, Warranty is a Joke, and the software doesn't work with the hardwear, making your full time job trouble shooting why your laptop is broken and fighting with the warranty claim to just get something done.
If After spending over £10,000 on top of the range laptops this is how they treat their customers! God help any one buying any other piece of trash they sell.

“I sent my Laptop IdeaPad 3-17IIL05 Laptop - Type 81WF for repairs on 10-15-2021 for a motherboard swap! i was told Service expected to be completed by 2021-11-10. So far as today no laptop no calls no emails. I called them a few times already and they keep telling me that they would call me back within 2 days and so far no calls at all! i love Lenovo Laptops, I own a Computer repair business and sell Lenovo Laptops to my clients. but OMG their support is so bad.. I even upgraded my warranty to IHR so I didn't have to ship it to them. I guess from now on i will tell all my clients to stay away from them... I wish i could of give you guys a 0.. I had to order another Laptop for my client since they needed it for work.. they got so mad at me for taking so long with their laptop I felt bad about it.. you guys need to get some real help with your support! 0 Stars from me.....”
“My Lenovo ideapad3 has several issues. First the ideapad randomly turns off the Google mail so I can neither send or recieve. I have had it in (under warrenty) but the fix only lasts for a couple months and then my email is off. Second it suddenly starts to run throug all the programs and apps like it is doing a defrag scan except it is just repeats over and over. I have to turn off the machine and allow it to reboot, sometims I have to do this several times. And every once in a while it just locks up and again I have to turn it off and restart.
I have called their teck support but the support is in India and so language is an isssue. Short story they were no help.”
