Horrendous company to deal with. They should be ashamed of their customer service which is appalling. I have now waited over 5 weeks to get my complaint resolved and still waiting…. I would never buy from this company again.

Purchased a 70inch LG TV from Best Buy in September of 2020, by February of 2021 the TV started to automatically shut down/ turn off by itself mid programming. Then after that every time I try to start up the TV it turns on and the image is pixeled and the sound is baffled and the TV shuts down by itself and after about 20 seconds turns back on. I reached out to LG customer service about this in March of 2021, the first thing they told me is that a technician would have to come up (in the middle of a worldwide pandemic). A technician came out to the house and said the issue was the Wifi module, after a few weeks he came back and I had to help him remove the TV from the wall and help him un-assemble the TV. After the Wifi module was replaced the TV had the same issues in a few days, called LG back and they stated the tech would have to come out again. The tech came out again another 3 times and replaced other parts which I was not made aware of what they were. The TV continued having the same issues. So again I reached out to LG, they stated an LG tech would now have to come out as the tech that came out was not from LG even though they were the ones that chose the tech and instructed him to come out. After a few weeks an "LG tech" came out, he stated the reason the TV was shutting off and doing what it was doing was because the cable box had power at the HDMI port and that's what was causing this issue. I reached out to the cable company and their technician came out, when I told him what the LG tech advised he was in disbelief. He said of course the cable box has power, if it didn't it wouldn't power on. But anyways, he replaced the box and even used the same box on my other 4 TVs in the home and the box worked perfectly and the LG TV where he put a new cable box on continued with the same issue. I reached back out to LG and they requested a report in writing from the cable company and a receipt for the purchase of the TV so they can process a replacement or refund of the TV. I contacted the cable company and within 3 days provided the report requested by LG to them along with the receipt for the purchase of the TV. After 3 weeks of not hearing back from LG I contacted them once again and I was supposedly transferred to the executive affairs department or whatever its called. I was told by the agent that everything was being submitted to the refund department and someone would contact me within 3 days. After 2 weeks no one contacted me as expected so I reached out to them again, every agent I speak to tells me something totally different and they just push the blame onto another department. So after almost 3 months dealing with the executive department and no resolution I reached out to LG via social media and they provided me with contact information to contact the Presidential Liaison department which I immediately did. After speaking with Aquiria Jackson in the Presidential Liaison department on 7/13/21 I was told she would have this resolved for me immediately and I would be refunded or an approval for a replacement would be done in a few days and she would reach out to me. After 2 weeks and no update I reached out to her again via email for an update, she then asked me for copies of the cable company's report and receipt for the purchase of the TV which I had already provided to LG on two different occasions. Finally on 9/20/21 I received an email from Aquiria after requested multiple updates on multiple different occasions and she told me the following "As previously advised, you were processed for a Dealer Exchange with Best Buy at the beginning of September. You should have been contacted by Best Buy to facilitate and complete the exchange". I immediately responded to her that she hadn't contacted me since July so I have NOT been advised of any Dealer Exchange or anything else from anyone. I also did reach out to Best Buy to see if they were aware of something and Best Buy said they have not received anything from LG in regards to my TV. Since then I have been trying to reach out to Aquiria and the other contacts I have at LG and of course I have no response nor any update from anyone.

Amazing service, very quick in answering calls/emails. A simple thing with my LG speaker not working properly which I put off for months. I sent them an email on the Saturday they sent me an email on a Sunday with ways to fix it all sorted and fixed. Very happy will definitely stick with LG.

Re LG Nano50 TV. Rubbish rubbish. Got the first 1 delivered and returned due to vertical banding. Recieved 2nd 1 even worse, vertical banding and dark shadows in all corners. Finally got a call back from LG tech support, here's what the chap said. We've seen from the photos uploaded the issue with your 3 day old Nano50 and this is well within the manufacturer's parameters and specifications. LG offered to replace the screen of the new TV, hardly a solution as its brand new. I'm leaving it down to poor manufacturing and LG could care Less. Returning for a full refund and it goodbye LG. I definitely would not recommend the 2021 Nano50 television 👎

Sorry, this is long winder but wanted to give the details: We purchased an LG American style fridge freezer for £1600 just over 3 years ago which has since stopped cooling/freezing. Called LG and paid the £165 to get it repaired (an all-in price). The first engineer turned up about a week later and said it was the PCI board without doing anything to test it. This was fitted about a week later, signed off as being complete and it stopped working again the day after. Calls to LG again and had to wait about another week before the engineer came out and this time tested and opened the fridge/freezer, it turned out to be the compressor and door switches which he ordered. Next visit was cancelled by the engineer as they still did not have the parts and another date planned. This date turned up and no engineer? Called the engineer who said we wasn’t on his list, called 0800Repair who transferred me back to LG who had cancelled everything as they (LG) could not get the parts. They then offered me the £165 back which was the first insult as the compressor has a 10-year warranty, they said they was waiting for the engineers report before contacting me again to resolve the issue. I tried to complain, but there is no where to do this apart from their message service. Another four days later and it turns out they can get a compressor but not the door switches, again offer me the £165 refund then change their mind as I had the PCI board replaced which was not needed. LG were happy to offer us a £165 refund which would leave me with a broken fridge freezer that cost £1600 over three years ago, that they cannot fully repair as they cannot get the door switches, and no one else can repair it as all these parts only come from LG. Just spoke to someone in LG complains who gave me the option of take the £165 or have just the compressor fixed. Even though there is a 10-year warranty on the compressor, I cannot have my £165 back as the first engineer incorrectly replaced the PCI board. Be warned everyone, I would not recommend, or buy anything from LG ever again.

Going on two months with a bad washing machine. Two technicians came out and the last one said parts were no longer available on this LG washing machine. Referred to warranty department and the worst customer service comes alive. If you are lucky to get somebody on the phone they assure you someone will contact you on resolution. Guess what, still waiting, spent near $500 for this useless warranty. Would not rate them even a one at this point.

If you are thinking of buying an LG TV......dont, the customer service itself is,for lack of a legally said description, BAD. The build quality, good. Picture quality fair. Price range N/A as does not do what it is supposed to do. Example you sit, press tv guide and wait, and wait some more..... ah there it is... scroll down.. oh wait nothing there, wait up to 5mins .You get the picture, or rather you dont!? Many months down the line, promised calls not happening, useless tv..apart from first page. And still waiting. Online search of problem shows exact same modus operandi, with many many people having a dismissive LG response. Even Which magazine comments have been seen to acknowledge this common problem YET still Which seems to show itself up not reviewing a tv properly that you cant watch, just its build quality. Its not inspiring confidence in people Which! This ones blatantly obvious! So to Google people not Which read, the complaints not the eh hem favourable comments, after all its when I goes wrong is what you SHOULD be reading.

I have an LG Inverter Direct Drive 8kg washing machine it's about 4 years old and decided it wouldn't turn on anymore. Tried over riding it, no luck. Found out it is the PCB board. So looked on 4lg and many other websites for a new one. But no site recognised the part number - which we got of the original PCB. Tried 4lg on line chat, they couldn't find it nor would they tell me why they couldn't. Phoned their helpline, same story. Emailed their technical service dept. Was told to look on 4lg even after I explained all that we had done in my email to them. They could send out an engineer for £100+ and he could get the part for me. Asked where he would get the part from, they didn't know!!!! It's like it's all a big secret. The latest email said that they don't want customers repairing their own machines that's why they don't sell spares - so what is 4lg all about, endless spares on there. So with this absolutely diabolical customer LACK of service from LG I would not recommend them at all and if their washing machines only work for 4 years (and their not cheap), don't buy one.

We purchased Model LFXS30726S in late 2015. About a month ago we came home to find water all over the floor and the fridge had stopped being cold. I called LG the following day as it appeared that we had a compressor stop working and cooling the fridge. The compressor has a 10 Year Warranty on it, and LG has had known issues with this particular compressor that they used then because there is a class action lawsuit about it. Anyways, I call LG the next day and they tell me that it will be 15 days...YES over 2 weeks before someone can come even look at the fridge!! Not repair it, just look at it and order parts. Parts were going to be an additional 3-4 days I was told. I said that was unacceptable to go without our fridge with a family of 5 living here. At this point she offered no more options that were suitable to our needs so I moved on and made a few phone calls myself. I fortunately spoke to a great repair company in Denver that said they repair 3-4 compressors on LG fridges a day and that they have the parts needed to complete the job and could be here in 2 days to fix it. So I have the refrigerator repaired and it works fantastically, I call LG to file a warranty claim to at least recover the cost of the parts, and maybe a little labor if possible. LG tells me "There's nothing they can do!". Since they didn't order the work through their network of repair companies, then they won't pay for anything. Seriously!?!? You have to be kidding me?? I was going to have to wait almost 3 weeks to get my fridge repaired through LG, which is completely unacceptable, or else they won't buck up $1000 for the repairs. They have basically told me to go pound sand every time I've spoken to them. MY ADVISE NOW - DO NOT BUY ANYTHING LG...EVER!!! There are plenty of competitors with as good, if not better products in the market who will make things right. LG is not concerned about doing the right thing as a company. LG is only concerned that their big corporation gets to keep a $1000 instead of making a customer whole by doing the right thing.

Had a few LG products over the years and am reasonably satisfied. Much better than e.g. Samsung. Currently have an LG OLED TV that is awesome. A few minor issues such as my first BD drive only lasting about a year with little or no use takes it down to 4 stars.

The freezer section is not working properly since more than 3 weeks now. Really bad service is being experienced with mixed messages or even false messages - 1. When I reported this to LG, as this is still under original warranty, the rep suggested to turn the appliance off and leave it off for 24 hours, with doors open. While it's very inconvenient, we did as told, but that did not help. 2. I called them again and the attendant this time informed that she did not have required setup to run the test remotely and placed a call for the repair with 0800Repairs. 3. The engineer arrived the next working day and simply replaced the pcb at the top without checking anything, and went off. 4. It possibly started cooling but the problem resurfaced just after few hours. I waited for 24 hours as advised by the engineer and then called LG again. They reopened the call. 5. I waited for 2-3 days but did not receive any update from anyone. Calling 0800Repairs is just waste of time as you either get a message that their advisors are busy and they cut you off or just keep you waiting indefinitely!! 6. I again called LG and this encountered someone who I am not sure knew what she was referring to. She informed me that 0800Repairs were waiting for some component to arrive. I challenged as how did they know which component to replace when they did not do any investigation - the engineer simply replaced the pcb WITHOUT testing anything! She insisted that they were doing the right thing. My request to send someone at least to do initial investigation was rejected ... ! 7. Finally after a wait of another week, an engineer visited today WITH NO NEW COMPONENT as LG had informed me WRONGLY. He did lot of investigation to conclude that he could not figure out what was wrong and he will now inform LG. So finally after a wait of more than 3 weeks, after wasting lot of time on chase, with hassle of not having a working freezer, and finally ending up spending lot of money on a new freezer (you need a freezer these days, don't you?), we still do not have our LG freezer in working condition and do not know when or whether that will be fixed. If anyone from LG is reading this, I want to inform them that I am raising a formal complaint as well. Really will not recommend LG to anyone now ...!!

LG washer/dryer only a few months old stopped emptying displaying OE code. Did all the troubleshooting but still didnt work. Believe that the cause is a faulty pump. LG unable to send an engineer for 12 days. A local authorised LG repair man advised me that he was unable to obtain a replacement pump, and in any event was unable to assist because instruction to repair had to come from LG. If he touched the machine it would invalidate the guarantee. So i am forced to wait the 12 days and fear that when the LG engineer comes, he will tell me there is a long wait to supply a replacement pump “because my machine is such a new model”. An absolute disaster for me and my family of 5. I find it incredible that LG are so slow in attending and will be gutted if there is a further delay to provide the spare part. Worst of all The LG help line people are totally uncooperative and tell me that they do not have a complaints department. I find that difficult to believe!!!!

My 23month old 49inch LG tv’s screen developed a blue tinge( common inherent fault with LG tv’s) image was also very dark and blurry. After fault finding, resetting, disconnecting equipment as advised by LG and eventually sending a photo of the screen requested by LG who now knew the tv, model number, age and the actual fault. They described the fault themselves in their email and said they could repair the fault on the tv For £70.I agreed and arranged for pick up. Two weeks later they emailed saying the part required for the repair on my less than two year old tv had been discontinued.! They offered a refund of the repair cost (£70) but nothing else was said about returning my tv. It’s now 3 months on and we are still trying hard on our part to resolve the issue. LG’s customer service is terrible, unhelpful, arrogant, and have no real concept of “ Customer Service” companies like this should not be encouraged. Please, please, do not buy any LG products, they don’t deserve your hard earned cash. Tell everyone you know to avoid them too, look at other review sites and you’ll see how bad they actually are. Oh and by the way they think they can keep the £70 repair fee because they may make offer an alternative solution which, they suggested. Thankful they only quoted £70 for the “non repair” hate to think how bad I’d feel if I’d paid £200 for a repair. Avoid, avoid, avoid

washing machine - warranty beware purchased a washing machine with 5 year warranty. registered the warranty on the day by ringing a number on the LG card - register now for free guarantee and received unique guarantee code. very surprised after 2 years when domestic and general write to me and state warranty is up! it turns out LG refuse to honour any extended warranty, I was supposed to go online and register not use the LG register now for your free guarantee. this is merely a call to domestic and general to sell you an insurance policy after the 2 years are up. LG you have acted gisgracefully.

Sent a 55 inch TV for repair which cost £519 and this needed a new screen. Picked up by courier and brought back only to be worse than when it went in the first place. At least I could watch the TV before this went for repair, it is now a black screen with sound only. Customer services and LG resolution team manager have been appalling and offered me £20 having been without a TV for almost 2 weeks and it now needs to go back for a repair that I have to arrange again. No compassion from the sarcastic unbothered manager who doesn’t care about their customers. Avoid LG altogether and the repair service is beyond belief.

Bought a new OLED TV from Currys 15 months ago. Model OLED65B7V at a cost of over £2000. I now have 2 wide green lines across the bottom of the screen known as burn in. It appears this is from watching the news channels that have breaking news banners. Using "You Tube" to display a red background I can see the logo BREAKING NEWS on the bottom left corner of the screen. The guarantee does not cover burn in and any attempt to remove the burn in has failed using the TV pixel refresh options. What a waste of money. Will have to bear with it until I can afford a good Samsung QLED TV.
