We have tried and failed to spend in the region of E700 in the Marbella branch of Maison du Monde. The items we required were on display but not “for sale” therefore are only an example of what is available on line. This is hopeless for us as we are only here for a week or two at a time and are not able to organise a delivery to our home. One item, a table, was actually in their winter sale and we would have been able to take it there and then however they would not help us take the centre pedestal off to enable us to put it in the car!! Honestly talk about useless!

Been trying to order a sideboard for months, either out of stock or when I get to add the item to my basket, it says oops, you have missed out. Phoned them in the hope they would reserve one for me, but they can’t do this! Some customer service, do they want business, what a way to run a company. Had a look at trust pilot reviews and you know what, will now be buying from someone else!

Ordered two shelving units which I was told would be delivered assembled, not true , and exorbitant delivery charges. Impossible to assemble, dreadful instructions, ill fitting tools, screws that are too small. Tat ! I will never buy anything from them again. I am still trying to put the first unit together, day three now !!

cancelled my order with no explanation. I tried to order it as express delivery which they said they wouldn't do. I called the company and they were passing me between departments. No-one would help, and then they just hung up on me. The item was meant to be a Christmas Present but now will not arrive in time for Christmas. Their customer service is terrible. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY 1 star is a compliment for them

They don’t even deserve 1 star. They sent me a table with missing parts and damaged! and they are asking me to pay again for delivery to my apartment. Their customer service and delivery service are the worst I have ever experienced.

I would give 0 star if I could. Never ever ever buy from this company. I received my order but it was damaged and I am still fighting with the company 3 months later to rectify. Their customer service is the poorest I have ever experienced!

I ordered a set of coffee tables from them and must say the quality is one of worst I have ever seen. Not only that it didn't look like on the website but it also wood was damaged and some of the screws didn't fit well. As an advice do not order from this website!

Bought a small piece of furniture for my hall. The lady wanted to sell the exhibition item which had some marks on it. I said yes for a reduced price. She refused. We then agreed on a new one which arrived yesterday. What can I say. It came with one dent and one scratch on the top. So, never again. This is the first and the last time I’ll buy from this store! Claiming solid mango wood furniture. Its not MDF or pile wood back&drawer bottoms. Arrived with cracks in drawer bottoms before us

Absolutely appalling experience with this company after having paid nearly £600 for a kitchen table I sent a message as after one water spill (that was wiped up immediately) the middle seam has become very badly damaged and rucked up due to what I guess is it not being properly sealed. I am now left with a table that looks an absolute mess and been told by the company it is my problem “because of the use I have of it” Well it’s a kitchen table and so water and drinks are going to be spilt on it, if I had known that a £600 six seater table would be this badly damaged from a small water spill I would never have bought it! Absolutely ridiculous to claim this is the fault of myself when it’s an obvious fault in the materials in the table. I have asked to take this further with a manager.

I am normally a very patient and tolerant person but this company pushed my patience to the absolute limit. The are a complete and total sham and seem to be doing very little to help any of their customers. I ordered 1 simple item - a picture frame from them in August. Didn't hear anything at all and had to chase them up off my own back. I called them several times to check on the order. They then told me "the carrier company attempted to deliver the item but had the incorrect address". I looked back at my original order and I had provided them with the CORRECT address from day one! So, firstly, they somehow managed to mix that up and deliver to the wrong address despite having the correct information. I then confirmed the address again. Months went by and I heard NOTHING. They made no effort at all to keep me updated on the item's delivery. No text, no phone call, no email...nothing at all. I chased them up again and they fobbed me off with some clearly fake excuses. I then read all of the negative reviews from other customers about lack of delivery, bad customer service, faulty or broken items and a general sense of ineptitude so decided to just bite the bullet and ask for a refund. On the phone, I had to practically beg for a refund from them and they continued to give me lame and fake excuses and even asked me to give them another chance. I said that my experience has led me to not want any further dealings with them so they finally gave in and said they'd refund me. After a lot of fighting over the phone to get my money back, I finally recieved it in my account but what a fiasco this whole situation has been...for ONE...LITTLE...PICTURE FRAME! Dealing with these cowboys is not worth the stress or effort. Stay away from them and don't order from them. They are a complete and total sham!

I have never seen such a bad, unreliable, unethical company with such poor quality products and such a bad customer service. After you place your order they never refund your money back rather they give you voucher. I could not find anything in this company to buy that has a value. Unfortunately they have stolen over €2,000.00 from me and not even answering my phone calls. Never to do business with them ever again.

After waiting for our delivery to arrive on 7th Sept between 09.13am - 11.13am where my wife and I had taken the day off work and after Panther Logistics sent us a SMS and email to tell us it would be arriving, all we got was - No delivery and a message saying "it's not coming". We then spent several hours back and forth between Maison Du Monde's customer service and Panther's, both parties blaming each other for what allegedly was a "missing item" - LOL, a 36kg / 190cm piece of furniture is "missing", on the day it's due to be delivered after several notifications from both Maison Du Monde and Panther confirming it was being delivered! Absolutely ridiculous. Then we proceeded to get back and forth communication, emails from Panther saying they would contact us "soon" and Maison Du Monde saying the item was missing and now out of stock, all you could offer us was a refund - terrible customer service. Completely disappointed, we accepted our fate and agreed a refund, it was only the next day we started getting notifications again, "your item has been shipped" - excuse me? You had told us it was missing and we would be getting a refund! So the fun started again...calling Maison Du Monde's customer service and Panthers' and again, both giving us contradicting information!!! Then, after around 6 phone calls and wait time (oh I didn't even mention the amount of times my phone got disconnected and I had to call again and explain the issue repeatedly!!!) we were told the item was "Found" and the reason for the notification from Panther's to say it would be delivered is because they had found it and they would be dispatching it - great news!!! Ohh but wait... more disappointment, Maison Du Monde now told us because the refund had been issued, they would be cancelling the delivery and we would NO longer receiving our furniture. When we asked if we could quickly re-order it, we were told NO because it would take weeks for the furniture to be returned and it was out of stock in the system, again terrible service and organisation. So not only did you screw up our order in the first place, you gave us a glimmer of hope, only to take it all away again! On top of this you sent us an email saying we would be getting a refund but only for half the amount we paid, so yes, you guessed it... another call to your customer service and this time we were told we would get a full refund which we did receive a few days later (that's about the only you got right). During all of which, I was supposed to receive a call from a supervisor, as given the 2 days of ordeal and disappointment, not to mention my wife and I taking a day off work and re-designing our living space, we would get some compensation or discount to possibly even consider buying something from their website, but no, absolutely nothing! No call, no feedback, no sorry, no compensation! Absolutely shocking and even 2 weeks after the whole experience, I'm still left with a very salty and sour taste in my mouth which I cannot digest!

Trying to get a line of kitchen cabinets purchased from Maison du Monde delivered to our house in France has been an absolute nightmare. The cabinets for the most part were ordered at different times over a period of 5 weeks, as soon as they were in stock and available for purchase. The delivery company Jacky Perrenot returned back to the warehouse with a big order because the delivery guys would not communicate with a US mobile number. Later, thy "lost' two more cabinets in an order to be delivered. I have never in my life experienced worse service from any company than both Maison du Monde and Jacky Perrenot. A whole week of vacation was ruined due to hours and hours every day on the phone with both companies. They had no interest in resolving any issues they created. had I known this before ordering te cabinets, I never would have purchased from them.

I can't stress enough what an awful experience I've had. This company has actually driven me to tears of frustration. I've all but given up any hope that I will ever get my money back for the faulty goods they sent me. "Customer services" will say anything to get you off the phone but do absolutely nothing. I think this company should not be able to trade in the UK - I'm trying to report them to an ombudsman and suggest that the BBC You & Yours programme investigate their shady practices. Please don't make the same mistake as me - AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

A very expensive hanging egg… I ordered a very expensive hanging egg chair which took 8 weeks to arrive. We were then having garden work done so I opened the package 35 days later only to find the base had rusted - orange rust on a white base. I called the customer service team to rectify only to be told the cut off was 30 days to deal with any customer issues - no flexibility. I’m now stuck with a rusted egg chair. This is frankly terrible customer service.

Do NOT order from here. We placed a furniture order for delivery to the Netherlands. BOTH items arrived damaged. That was almost 2 weeks ago. We are calling them DAILY for a collection and nothing happens. No return calls. Nothing. I have NEVER in my life dealt with such poor customer service. You’re better of spending your money somewhere else because this company is a total joke. Don’t waste your time.

Very bad customer service. I am trying to send back an item since 3 weeks, time is running out, since I am no longer staying in the country. Can not return the item to the shop, been there twice to ask, but they said they would call customer service for me, same number as I have. I tried 10 times, could not get through. Written back to Maison the Monde, no answer. I was given a spanish number from Tamdis, transporter, answering only in spanish! Also the quality of the products are often very poor. I bought a new bed, sat at the end and fell through the very first night. There are not enough slats at the end, so the mattrass is hanging in the air, just such poor quality. The first thing we had to do, is to go to IKEA and by new slats and rebuilt the frame with slats from IKEA!!

Stunningly poor and unorganised delivery service for which they make you PAY for!!!!! I placed an online order in Swiss shop on 15.May, they made me pay 100% upfront, and I have chosen delivery option for 79 Franks on top. First negative impression: order confirmation stated to expect delivery between 1 and 4 June. This meant 2 weeks waiting time, which I have accepted, trusting they'll do their job. Then nothing happens until 03June, I am calling the customer service and learn after their investigation that the articles will be "re-delivered free of charge" after 16June! I am totally shocked - there wasn't even the first attempt to deliver and now they give me a "bonus" to have it free of charge. This is absolute unprofessionalism and totally disgusting customer service. The worst thing - it is for the money they make you pay. I hope this message will spread and reach the management of the shop to make changes.
